Dr. I. is a cute, funny, old guy. He's also a NO-NONSENSE instructor. If you go to every class, complete every assignment, and memorize the bulleted slides that he uploads via Bb, then you'll get an A. The book is not 100% mandatory, but it is a helpful resource. You have to show commitment and interest or the material will consume you. I earned an A, but I was also dedicated. Not that bad of a course. I highly recommend it!

I thought his tests were challenging, and he does a good job helping student focus for exams, My only complaint is that he does not control student whining to well... and lets them go on and on during class time. As for his accent, I got used to it after a class or too and I adapted fine.

He's amazing instructor. All you have to do is go over his notes and you be fine. He will recommend him for bio 250. He tends give an review before the exam. It's impossible for to fail his class. The lab is very easy. You have to identified the tissues, parts of the bones and muscle.

I took a&p 250 and a&p 251 with Professor Irowa. He is a fun instructor and provided notes online to study from. These classes are required to apply to Wcccd nursing school. I made flash cards from his notes and used them to study for the Hesi anatomy part, which I scored 96%. I did put a lot of effort into his classes and studying for the Hesi.

I really liked taking this class. I took him for a & p 1 at northwest campus and then followed him all the way to downtown campus for a&p2. That's just how good he is at teaching. As long as you make sure you do all of your mastering a&p assignments, study your notes and all the lab videos that he provides for you on blackboard, and you'll pass.

I love taking this professor. He only went over the important things i.e. what is going to be on the test. He gave extra credit, and he TRULY wanted his students to succeed. Professor Irowa was an awesome professor for BIO240. He gives and outline of EVERYTHING right in the beginning of the semester on Blackboard. You might need your textbook for in-depth material not found in his notes or lectures, but you could pass without the textbook. All in all a solid professor. I learned a lot, but didn't feel too overwhelmed.

Lecture is harder than lab, but he gives study guides in lecture that help a lot! Dr. Irowa is a great professor who wants his students to do well. He always offers extra credit to increase your scores. I took him for both 240 and 250 and he runs both classes pretty much the same way. Do your work, go to class & you will be fine! No tricks.

If you do not pass this class it is entirely your fault. This professor goes over things repeatedly until the day of the test. Irowa was one of the best teachers i've had at WCCCD. He's fair with grading and his test are easy if you follow the outlines he gives and listen to his lectures. Mr. Irowa is one of the few teachers who genuinely care about his students. His lectures and outlines are exactly what he tests on. He tries to make sure you have a clear understanding of everything he teaches. His humor helps when the lecture gets boring. He does have a bit of a smart mouth but overall he was fair and a good teacher.

This professor is without a doubt the best. I am taking A&P 1 with him & he has made it easier to understand. He gives you plenty of time to do the work but make sure you do the work! Also make sure you do his discussion drawings! The points rack up. He gives extra credit towards the end of semester, this semester was 80 points!!

Dr. irowa is one of the best professors Ive ever had. He really cares about his students. He tries to make sure you understand everything by going over material repeatedly and asking questions. If you just show up to class and pay attention you will definitely get an A. He also makes jokes sometimes so the class isnt boring all the time.

I loved him do your assignment you will get a A its a lot of drawings but Im taking him again for bio250

Mr. Irowa was a great teacher! He will help you understand the material! He also gives a lot of extra credit! If you put in effort you will pass the class!!! I will be bio250 with him next semester! I wish he taught Bio 295.

Dr. Irowa is one of the best professors I ever came across. He makes work easy and teaches very well. He breaks everything down easily. If you attend his class and listen well, do all his assignments, then you are sure of an A. He has a good sense of humour and answers your questions even if you ask a million times. Taking BIO 250 this summer

I had him for 240 and 250 I received a A in both just do the work come to class u will pass! He give a lot of extra credit too!

Excellent professor

I was not sure I would be able to learn in a virtual class but because of Covid I had no choice. The professor explains in a way you can understand Biology and takes time to answer any questions.

Pro Michael Irowa is the best Prof I have ever come across in WCCCD. I regret not knowing about him before now. He kept his class real and interesting. He made me feel as though am in the nursing program already. It was a privilege to have been thought by this great man. I actually did not want his class to end. I enjoyed his BIO 250 class

Professor Irowa is a fantastic instructor. He makes his class fun and explains well till you understand, He gives extra credits and accessible outside class. I took him for both BIO240 AND 250 with a Grade A at the end of both semesters/He is very understanding and listens to your concerns. An excellent professor to the core

Professor Michael Irowa, is a great lecturer, he teaches a topic until everyone understands the topic well. He encourage you to take the course seriously because you will need it in whatever next phase you are heading too. He is a very nice and understanding lecturer.

Dr. Michael Irowa is a great professor. He makes sure that you understand the human body and its functions. When I took my hesi exam I remembered everything that he taught me about Anatomy and scored a A. Show him that youre interested in learning and he has your back.

Dr. Irowa is a great professor who wants his students to not only pass but learn as well. He has great communication and updates grades on time. Test are open notes I would suggest reading the text & taking your own notes as his are not that helpful. Offers extra credit

Professor Irowa knows anatomy and physiology like the back of his hand. Every assignment he gives is truly to help you understand the study material, but make no mistake you must study and study some more. This is a class to take serious, knowing the material from biology 155 is greatly encouraged. Professor Irowa is a great instructor.

Animated, engaging professor who knows his material and how to teach it well.

Biology is a lot to take in being an accelerated class, however I love his teaching style. He gives lots of notes to grasp the material. He engages with students to get a clear understanding. Dr. Irowa is definitely passionate about his teaching and goes above and beyond. I am currently taking summer classes with him as well.

Dr. Irowa is excellent, he has an accent, but you get used to it and you will understand him. He asked on our first day of class why we took his class and we said because you have excellent reviews and he did not believe it.

He is an amazing professor! He is clear at the beginning of class with what is needed to succeed to achieve an A. As long as you show up, do your assignments, study you will pass. He is understanding and he wants you know the material so that you can thrive in the field that you select to work in. I hope to get him in another course if I could.

I enjoyed BIO 240 and will take him for BIO 250. He wants you to ask questions and understand the material. He gives extra credit, and you have plenty of time to make sure you turn in all your work. Lectures and labs are excellent, and he is hilarious!! Come to class, do all your assignments, you will pass.

Great BIO 240/250 professor. Come to class, take notes on the study guides, do the Connect, Lab HW, and the histological drawings, and you will pass. He wants you to get a good grade. Btw, some of his lab exams are online & he lets you use the study guides on exams- still study though so you aren't searching for the answer!

Attend class take additional notes with the ones he has online. Do the homework ahead of time and take any and all extra credit that is given.EXcred. adds up. He likes for ppl to participate. Can work with a group to complete assignments &take home exams, lets you use the study guides on exams. Don't be rude/2L8 cause he will crack jokes abt you.

There was a toatal of 5 lecure tests and 3 lab exams. He is very clear on what to expect on each exam and he provides notes and lets you use your own notes on the exams,except lab. There was ALOT of extra credit that can be recieved. The class was overall very easy, just be sure toread before the exams and study alot when it comes to the lab exams.

The course comprises five lecture tests and three lab exams, with clear instructions and thorough notes provided. Note usage is permitted during lecture exams but not for labs. There's an huge amount of extra credit available. The class was excellent, but success requires studying for each exam, the lab was Pretty easy if u study buy bones lab exam

Professor Irowa is a great professor , he gives you all the material to pass his class, plus all Lecture exams are open book. You do need to study for lab exams, but he gives enough extra credit to help you pass, he knows his stuff. and if you want to learn, I suggest taking his class.

Study and you will be good. I got an A in this course.
