Prof. Izady is the most informed professor that I've EVER had . . . Although his notes were in front of him, he rarely had need to consult them! The powerpoint slides were the greatest; seeing pics from his ACTUAL TRAVELS were a great personal touch!

I loved him, brilliant, and is very informative. His class is de. worth the nearly 2k that I'm dishing out! -=]

He is an amazing professor. Very interesting and knowledgable in his field, and knows how to convey the message effectively. Anyone interested in Middle eastern history should definetly take him, you will not regret it. A+

Extremely easy. Just show up to class everyday and take notes. All the exams are take home and he practically gives you the answers in class. Don't even bother buying the books.

His class is very easy if you can come every day and take good notes. He gives you the exams in the syllabus, they're take home and you have a week to do it.

this guy is one of the smartest professors at pace without question. no HW no papers. you will learn so much in this class, about people, religions, and life. take this History w/out a doubt the best and not as hard as any others!!

Awesome professor. He is easy going (too easy going) and you will learn A LOT in his class. If he does not open your mind to learning about Islam culture, their is something wrong with you. Plus he gives take home tests.

The most ineteresting class I took at PACE. I am Jewish and I actually got ineterested in Islamic culture all due to his class. You don't need to buy the books cause he explains everything in such a good way that it is impossible to screw up the take home exams.

Genuis..absolute genius

Real cool guy, and very understanding. Very thorough in his explanations. Gives you a week to complete the take home exams, after giving you the answers to them. Since all he does is talk, it get boring at times, so make sure you bring a cup of coffee with you to class, and you'll be fine.

Very good teacher. I took him in my first year at Pace (being a transfer student) and i found his class more interesting than any other class I had ever taken in my previous college. His opinions can be very bias at times, but thats what makes you want to learn more, and develop your own.

It is unbelievable how much this man knows. He is a professor who knows so much about Mid Easy History. He made the class very interesting and I enjoyed going to each class. Very fair grader (will let you make up lower grades most times) He is one of the best professors the school has to offer

One of the best profs at Pace. He is well-dressed, well-spoken, and a very fair grader. The only con is that he is a little late in returning papers, but since you will most likely receive an A or B anyway, no harm in waiting! Izady is THE MAN!

Awesome profesor. This man has so much knowledge and his lectures are very interesting. You will learn a lot in this class, and there is not too much work. One exam and a final paper or presentation, your choice.

He is a very good professor. He will keep you until the end of the class, but his tests are very easy and he is a very easy grader.

This professor is brilliant! I haven’t received my grated since I’m still taking him, but the class is amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable and very interesting (even though its history). He is by far the best professor I had at Pace and this is my 4th year there! Take him! You’ll love it.

Great class. He seriously knows A LOT about Middle Eastern History. He's extremely intelligent and well-rounded. His class could be more organized but it was great. He is awesome. Take him, if you can. Really easy too, maybe to easy.

He is very knowledgeable and makes lectures not only bearable but interesting. he plans interesting things to supplement the class and take things to a whole other level of understanding. i would definitely recommend his class.

Not too much work a midterm+final. Show up to class; you will want to. I really enjoyed his class + actually looked forward to them. You cover alot and easily get an A, A- if you do the work correctly. Gives chances for rewrites. Really smart professor but dont get me wrong; he is 100% arrogant. But the class is worth it. Pace is lucky to have him!

Very easy class. Very good teacher. Knows an INCREDIBLE amount of information. All you have to do is make sure you take a good amount of notes....those notes are your test answers.

Izady is one of my fav professors i've had. I'd take him again for any class. he's so incredibly smart i swear he literally knows everything. and he's so hilarious it's fun to listen to him rant about things. he lets you rewrite papers. if you take good night you'll be fine.

Izady is a god amongst men. An anomaly at PACE- he cares about his students. His class is so interesting my friend (who doesn't even go to PACE) sat in on class every week. When security wouldn't let him in, Izady fought them. Literally. I am a Finance major and I loved his humanities class. The man is an absolute legend, plain and simple.

Izady is the bomb I think his classes are so interesting. The man is the bomb.

I only took this class for AOK fulfillment and I was never a history person since I tend to pass out at the mention of ancient stuff. This guy is hilarious and makes everything interesting. Makes really good points and gives hilarious examples and jokes to go along with what he says. Just two essays for home and no in-class assignments.

Professor Izady is an excellent professor and very funny. He has excellent scholarship and his lectures are very informative. I truly recommend him because you could learn so much and receive an A as long you take notes and pay attention during class.

Amazing teacher.

Love him so much. Absolute gem of a human being. He comes off a bit scary initially over emails but hes the nicest guy. Hilarious and knows Europe really well and will integrate it into the class. Just make sure your laptop or phone is charged. Its a loooong class and it gets a bit dry at times. There is a break halfway through though so it's good.

Considering History as a minor because of this professor! he is literaly my favorite professor in Pace. Easy to talk to and he is very understanding. There is one midterm paper, one final paper, and 2 film reviews. it is all easy and doable

He is LITERALLY my favorite professor at Pace. I have decided to do a minor in History because of him. Very intelligent, and he really respects everyone and willing to help you if you show him that you care.

You have to show up to every class and participate. That's a large part of your grade. Pay attention and you'll pass.

Take if you want an easy A. The only assignments are two video reviews, and both the midterm and final are essays. Attendance is mandatory, but half the time he's just ranting. You essentially evaluate yourself and make your own grade at the end of the semester. Might say there's a textbook but it's not needed so don't waste your money.

Easy class boring guy loves to rant about useless stuff and doesn't get to the point. Loves to also stretch it to the very end and makes you reschedule your time to fit his schedule if he is sick and calls the class off. He will put the regular Thursday class to a Friday sometimes if he can't make it.

Although the class is a lot of information it was simply incredible. I learned so much and the professor gladly talked to me outside of class. He may be tough but he does give you a chance to redo if you try hard. Participation and attendance are key. The class doesn't have a lot of work (3 reviews( pass/fail), final and midterm) are it.

Only four assignments all year, heavy lectures he will literally just talk for the whole class. Strict about his zoom rules but super nice guy.
