Prof Mombourquette is great. He clearly loves what he does and what he teaches, and he always tells great stories. His lectures are dense, but homework is relatively light and he didn't give us a midterm this year, only a final (thumbs up from me). Ask him a good question and you'll get a good answer. Enjoy your retirement professor.

Dr.Mombourquette was incredibly helpful and mad himself available numerous times to help out students that were struggling. Very good teacher, it's clear if you put in the work, you'll do very well. It's clear what they expect and how they grade. Excellent feedback if you mess up as well. 100% would take him again.

He is so slow compared to the other CHEM 112 professors. So even when we were 2-3 lectures behind, we had to teach ourselves the material because the homework and quizzes were still due at the same times as the other sections. He made minimal changes to the course to accommodate for his own inability to get through the lectures.

This man made my mornings on west amazing. I always looked forward to his classes. Yes we were a lecture or 2 behind at some points but that was just because he went into more detail on how to work through some questions for the students benefit. If he ever comes back to teach CHEM112 I highly recommend taking his section

We were always a few lectures behind because he was slow. This was difficult as the due dates for quizzes, homework etc. were not changed. He was actually pretty good lecturing; he just doesn't post any notes or videos. He was supposed to be retired, I can't blame him for checking out.

I took CHEM 112 with Dr. Mobourquette in the last academic year. Cheerful guy, and well-explained lectures. Pace was sometimes fast, but he often took the time to explain some of the harder concepts. The Department of Chemistry will miss Dr. Mombo !

Professor Mombourquette's lectures are engaging and informative, though he does sometimes go on entertaining tangents. The free textbook he wrote is a helpful complement to the course. unstuckstudy and ChatGPT were great study tools for this class.
