Tough grader!!!!!!!!!
I'm at a 96 in the course and am still saying he's a terrible terrible TERRIBLE prof. The readings are so time consuming and useless, and the lectures are so boring but you MUST TAKE GOOD NOTES!! Do the readings, practice quizzes, and don't miss lectures and it's easy to get a good mark, it's just a lotta work. Slack bad mark.
Arrogant, requires you to buy his personal tb and extra stuff like pointless tophat. Takes attendance before class starts, goes on about how you need to get to know him and not to ask him for recommendations if he doesn't know you. Guest lecturers are cool to have but boring. Lecture heavy AND tests on A LOT of tb based material. Exams are hard.
Took him last year. Terrible prof. One of the descriptions I gave him was 'hilarious' as in hilariously bad. 15% of course mark is on participation with an unrealistic rubric so he will screw you over if you get on his bad side. Talks a lot about himself which no one really cares about. Very unfortunate that he's the only one teaching this course!

People either love him or hate him. Lectures are interesting. Readings should be done before class since his lectures will barely touch the content, but are related. Midterms/exams are based on orion/wiley multiple choice (DO ALL). Other half of the exam is specific info from lectures (cases) or required readings posted on Querques. Goodluck!
Gives you a good overview of business also catches you up on current events. Group project is a hit or miss. Got a 99% on it while others got low 70s. ASK FOR UPPER YEARS PROJECTS and DO ALL ORION QUESTIONS for multiple choice on exam. Write down everything he says in class and even classmates answers. EVERYTHING SAID IN CLASS IS TESTABLE. DONT ZZZ

Actually if you go to his lectures and take good notes, you should be fine. I did spend lots of time on this course but don't feel I have learned anything though.
He wants the exact specifics and wording covered in class and will test material that you would overlook just to catch you off-guard. Overall, a really nice and funny guy... likes talking about himself but he keeps lectures fun and engaging. I loved going to class.
He tries to act sympathetic with the students only to stab us in the back on the final exam. His written response section is designed to drag the class average down and he won't give it back so you can't get it remarked. The marking scheme for written response is ridiculous - if you don't have the exact wording, you'll get it wrong.
Surprisingly, Michael Khan in 427 is different than Michael Khan in RSM100. He's alot more chill and the course isn't designed to fail you. If you put in a solid effort, you'll do well. Alot of group assignments and class participation. Tests aren't based on the technical topics but rather what was discussed in class.
Make sure you attend all class and ACTIVELY RAISE AND ANSWER QUESTION IN CLASS!
You could grind on your assignment, but someone who put no work into their assignment could get a higher mark than you. The grading was so random. For the final exam, I studied tons and knew every question. I left the final with my mark 7% lower. It feels like they mark unfairly to keep the class average low. Worst RSM course. Not hard - unfair
Amazing professor! I have to admit my grade was not as high as I had anticipated for it to be. However I do not regret taking the course at all. Had early 9am lectures, and he was very very engaging during his lectures. Having a class with him gives you an opportunity to get your name out and build connections. Great prof cant say it enough.
I personally like Professor Khans way of teaching. All lectures, discussions and textbook readings are testable so you have to equally divide your focus on these. If really work hard in this class, youll easily get an A. Its bird course if you are the type of student who studies 360 degrees and a hard course if you only study half of everything.
Michael Khan is the stereotypical business person. Has proper manners and seems like a fair negotiable person but will then stab you in the back with a ridiculously hard final which is difficult for no reason. Attend lectures, take notes "everything is testable". idk what Rotman did to this guy but whatever it is he's def taking it on the class GL
Overloaded class. Class is either meant to be yearlong or have lesser work. Don't learn a lot. He sells his textbook to make extra money on the side . The final contains questions not covered in class.
LISTEN IN CLASS. everything said in class will have a chance to show up on the exam. one of our midterm question was "on X day in class we talked about X news item, please explain what was discussed in class." You need to write the key words down, word for word, or else it's wrong. The group project was a hit or miss. Depends on your group mates.
I got a 64% the first time and had to redo the course. Got a 90% second time around and enjoyed it more due to the smaller class size and better conversations. Take word for word notes during class, if you write your own opinion than you might get 0/5 on the question (even if it's a good opinion)
uses really bad TA, give super low scores for case competitions, doesn't respect student, when requesting for regrade, doesn't take it seriously
i hate him. you HAVE to participate because its worth 20% out of the entire grade. does not give any leniency on participation marks at ALL even though we are all in a pandemic and given the technical difficulties and time zone issues students faced smh
Professor Khan provided with engaging lectures and lots of case studies but his whole "everything is testable" and giving vague instructions was not it. I think he was a lot more chill this year due to it being online and he actually tested on important topics on the final and not some random slide in the 10 different slide decks.
Definitely not my favourite prof but I surely learned a lot from him. He made a really good effort to adjust to online learning. And he made lectures more interesting with his case studies. However, his course shouldnt be taken for granted. Its pretty tough so make sure you spend time studying for it.

Lectures are engaging. Textbook heavy, remember the vocab and italic ones. The exam tested mostly on lecture content, rewatch the recordings, draw a mind map and write out possible quest if have time. Very knowledgeable and fast pace. U can learn a lot about the contemporary bus in his course
So many Khan horror stories, but he's actually pretty solid. Study for the tests and try to get a good mark on the group project. Final drags everyone down.
Quite hard to get a good grade. Dont expect rsm100 to boost your GPA. Lectures were interesting, I like how he teaches with cases.
Curved down on the final; mainly tested students on how much they cared for his class and whether one could demonstrate ones ability to memorize frivolous details of his lectures. The exam prep process was a waste of time
Khan was not a good prof for RSM100. I got him for RSM426, and MY GOODNESS! He is so much better in 4th year. His style of teaching and his extensive and interactive lectures helped us learn more from his one course than anything else I have done in my fourth year. The multiple-choice on his tests is out of nowhere but other than that, very fair.
He uses proctoru which is an invasion of a personal privacy of our living space for exams and should never do... He also speaks very fast in lectures. No one can understand what he says He gives a very difficult midterm and final with (30-50%) avg range with no bell curve at all in order to lower the averages... Do not take the course with him
Very caring. He's the only one who took 30 minutes out of his lecture time to do a mental Health Check and make sure that students knew about the support they have on campus. Be prepared to memorize a lot in RSM100! But, his lectures are very interactive and he always gives students a chance to talk so it's easy to rmmbr course concepts.

Amazing professor. He is kind and it is your first opportunity in Rotman Commerce to network with a valuable person. He provides great insights. His course is tough but definitely one of my favourite courses in the semester.
Khan's lectures were interactive, fun and very interesting (especially because of the guest lecturers). He gives students a chance to speak. But his tests are very heavily based on memorization and not having knowledge on the course. One question asked the guest lecturer's companies name which seemed pointless. Grades depend on the lectures!
MGT100 was a great course, though was based heavily on memorization rather than understanding of concepts. The lectures were fantastic, and had guest speakers and people from industry coming in to talk about their work. Prof. Khan is a good lecturer and encourages participation, but there are only three assessments, making it difficult to keep up.
I don't understand what's the point of mandatory participation which takes 20% of the entire course. He asks for students' feedback but don't worry cuz he won't change anything about his teaching style.

Overall, case studies done in class are interesting and engaging. However, everything is testable. Make sure you take good notes in class about everything he says and questions that are being asked!
Prof Khan is a great person, his lectures are engaging and interesting. Guest lectures are very interesting and you will learn a good bit about how business works. However, tests are hard as everything is testable and youre forced to remember the littlest of details, which is counterproductive
The GOAT. Prof Khan is one of the best profs you will have in Rotman first year. Midterms and finals are easy and short if you study correctly. Everything in lectures are testable which makes it easy to study. (he drops hints on important questions). My friend and I predicted every question that was on our final. Pick a good group for business plan
The professor is fine and the class is engaging. However, it's certainly important to listen to every word he said during the class, especially the guest lecture. Pay attention to the picture in the power point. The guest and professor would drop hint on the test question so LISTEN CAREFULLY. Overall, it's not a hard course but required much effort
This is a required course for Y1st Rotman Commerce students. The Lecture contents are enjoyable and professor Khan is an excellent prof and educator. However, the course tasks allocation and grading system are a little challenging. To make sure you pass the course successfully, fully engaged with in-class recordings, slides, course material.

Hes a fraud who sells his own textbook to students. Be prepared for easy marks at the beginning of the year, and then have the final drop your score 10-20% for no reason. Memorize every word that comes from his mouth, it will be on the tests.
Imagine being a 4.0 student all year until the final exam pulls you down 15 points for no rhyme or reason. The entire class was curved down heavily and I pity those who have to go through Khan's ego infested course again. He sells you his own textbook and teaches only from his life. Most of the class is easy, but be ready to worship his every word.
I took the course in Fall 2019. Michael Khan was an ok prof, he made lectures engaging, but I wouldn't say he was the nicest or most approachable. He made the course challenging when it really shouldn't have been. Questions on tests were also not representative of what we spent most time learning.
Go to class and takes notes word for word and memorize them the night before the exam like your life depends on it. Aside from that you dont have to do any work throughout the semester
He is pretty funny but tries to make the course unnecessarily hard. Even if you memorize everything from lecture and textbook, he finds ways to deduct marks on tests. Final was worth 40% and they curved down a lot. Group project was worth 25%, so you need to find a good group! You don't learn a lot when you are forced to memorize 20pgs a week...
Mr. Khan is the G.O.A.T! Khan is a chill guy and he wants you to succeed in the course, while everything is testable and can sometimes be boring he does his best to keep you engaged. I went to office hours and he was clear and concise when it came to answering my questions. PS Find a good group for the Group Assignment and participation matters
Turned an easy, informing course into an unnecessary struggle simply to weed out students in year 1. Prof Mike does not do much himself except lecture. Not accessible and simply useless.
Prof. Khan is Top G at Rotman, his lectures are entertaining, and he tries to keep students actively engaged. However the course is quite difficult. The midterm and final exam make up over 60% of your mark at every single word, slideshow, and tiny detail he says in a lecture including guest speaker notes are testable.
All the people giving low reviews are simply those who didn't attend lectures and didn't put in enough work. Sit at the front, study well, and you will do great. Exams are literally a piece of cake if you study enough. Thank you, Prof. Khan, aka Top G, you will be missed!
Liked Khan a lot, it just felt like he lied to us about not curving down. Everyone I know had their mark drop at least 10% after the final, so make sure you have a really good grade going into the final and be prepared to have it drop even if the final feels easy.

Personally I found this class to be easy as long as you went to lectures and read the textbook. Not too bad. The lectures are engaging and the prof is nice.
He forces you to buy his textbook to take tests. He talks about himself too much. He wants to be different from other profs, saying "everything including student answers are testable".
Michael Khan gave solid introduction to Management and to Rotman Commerce. Lectures were based of the underlying content in the textbook readings, with several different real-world cases, which will all be tested. This does mean that attendance is absolutely mandatory as tests are weighted more on class content. Overall, great engaging professor!
Michael Khan was a great professor! Do not believe the other reviews, I let them scare me going into first year. If you speak to Michael directly, you get to know him and find out he cares about his students. Participating in class does carry weight (the syllabus won't say this). Midterm is curved heavily. Final is NOT curved down, just not curved.
Michael Khan is a solidly good professor. He teaches well, and it is very lecture heavy. As for the exams, there are not any surprises in regards to the content, but it was suspected that he down curved the final. Overall, not a bad course, but he did overcomplicate a very simple & vague class, that really does not require much critical thinking.
Course is doable (and aceable) if you attend lectures and write down all key case studies. Make sure to read textbook as multiple choice is heavily tested on the textbook. Do the wiley plus questions as well -- those are great practice. You got this! Fighting!
Michael Khan as a person just seems like a regular nice prof. I do dislike how you have to purchase the textbook to access the quizzes. The more you attend and pay attention to lecture, the better you will do, guessed MC textbook questions in final and did well in the written portions to succeed. Be involved, and you'll do just fine in the course.
Objectively, great person and lecturer. However, lots of material (textbook and lecture) is unnecessary because it is not tested but he says everything is fair game. Final exam (50%) and 2 online quizzes (10% each) at 8 am (asked to change time because I commute, rejected) before lectures (9 am). Big on class discussion, tough for an intro course.

The worst professor
Supposed to be an informative first-year management course. Instead, is a memorization focused course used to intimidate first-years. Michael Khan is at the centre of it. The rumours are true, the final is graded extremely harshly. Maybe even curved down. Course should excite incoming students about business and mgt but does the opposite. Bad Khan.
PLEASE AVOID THIS PROF!!! I rated but they removed my rating. It is a really stressful course and be prepared to read and memorize a lot. Tough grading.

In RSM100, 25% of the grade goes to midterm and 45% to final. Prof. Khan said that everything is testable, so attend all lectures and take notes on what he and the guest speaker say. The tests have two parts: multiple choice on textbook content (using Wileyplus slides and adaptive practice to review can help) and short answer (on lecture content).
I honestly enjoyed MK's class. It was engaging and it was one of my favourite classes. But my final mark went down even tho I knew I did well on the exam. Went into the exam with an 86%+, and came out with a 74%. I didn't like the fact that he is a harsh marker, but I enjoyed his lectures. His lectures, however, are not useful in real life.
It is ridiculous that knowing how business management works would NOT give you a good score for his MGT100, instead, you got to memorise everything on his lecture materials! EVERYTHING IS TESTABLE!! How hilarious is that? He always invites guest speakers who gives terrible lecture speeches, meanwhile what guests presented are also in the test!!!
Prof Khan was really engaging during the lectures and made class actually enjoyable to attend. It is a fair course if you attend the lectures, pay attention during class and study accordingly, make sure to get notes from colleagues for any lectures that you weren't at.
Came into this class feeling quite scared at first considering hearing all the rumors that everything is testable and that he curves down the final by a lot. Slowly found out how he structured the class and understood how to properly take notes and how he tests after the mid-term. I don't think he curves the final down he just marks the final hard
Prof Khan is great overall. Lectures are interesting and engaging and the guest lectures are decent as well. There is rarely something you see on a test or exam that you will not have covered, and they are pretty fair. I found the midterm and exam pretty brutal but the group project was amazing! A lot of reading, but Khan was great.
The class is perfect if you are a person who likes memorizing and takes really good notes in class. I enjoyed this class and the professor is a great person. He holds open office hours which I have been to and found useful. for the book, do speed reading, which is a tip the professor gave me, which helped me get over the large amount of reading.

I took MGT100 with Professor Khan last semester and really enjoyed it! If you attend lectures regularly, take notes, and do all the assigned work, you'll do well. The lectures were very engaging, and the structured teaching style was very helpful.
Professor Khan's class was excellent. One of the most transparent professors in the whole faculty. Just go to the lectures, take good notes, do required readings, and you'll do well. MGT100 isn't a hard course.

Grading is complete bs. I spoke with the TA and saw the answer sheet for the final. Got everything correct but got half marks on all bc it wasn't worded exactly like Michael khan said. What a sad excuse for a human being.
He is a decent guy, interesting and but his slides do be boring. Group project was fun but u gotta be one of the guys in the front riding him to make him like u enough to succeed. Also u gotta read the textbook or make friends and take their notes
Everything is testable? Bullshit, both midterm and final were literally just copying cases from slides and asking you to fill in the contents that were exactly the same as what he said in class. Do not review any other things for short answer questions, all you need to do is to go through every case and memorize the notes you take.

Terrible so so so so so so so bad
Prof Khan's RSM100 is tough but engaging. Lectures are packed, and tests focus heavily on memorization. The workload is high, but using unstuckstudy alongside the textbook helps manage it. Overall, a rewarding course if you put in the effort.

The lectures are interesting. So much reading from the textbook its awful. Tests are 80% content from lectures you must memorize, 20% multiple choice from textbook. The multiple-choice questions come straight from practice. If you memorize lectures = A. Overall, it's an awful class, 0 critical thinking, and all memory. Group project was unorganized

Awful. You either need to sit at the front and be one of the people that glaze him. Even then your not 100% going to do well. Or you can chill and hope you never space out during a lecture. Because as he says "everything is testable". It's straight BS.

Everyone had warned me about Michael Khan's RSM100, but IT WASN'T BAD AT ALL! The course is lecture heavy. Attend them and write down everything he says. Michael Khan is a great speaker, lectures are very interesting. ATTEND ALL LECTURES AND ACTIVELY LISTEN If you don't, you will be complaining about him. The professor is not the problem.
He said in the first lecture that all the bad reviews were from people who didn't show up to class but I went to every single one and wrote notes for all of them. He has such a big ego and really tests his power with the class. His tests are bull and will choose a question on something he spent maybe 2 minutes on instead of the main topics.
Professor Khan is a great guy when you talk to him, will work hard to resolve disputes and actually listens to your feedback. That being said, his class has no scope. He'll mention one thing in passing as a part of a larger subject, which, come test day, the former is tested. Test rubrics are rigid to make you fail. God forbid you miss a class...

The biggest problem of this course is the lectures won't cover topics on accounting or finance in the text book which are parts of testable content for the final. Lectures do not take attendance but case study in lectures will be tested. For group project, it will be ideal if you can find some teammates that cares their grade.
Make sure you take notes on EVERYTHING he and the guestspeaker says (yes, he tests you on things he says on the first and last day of class) . He also tests you on material that he spends a few seconds on, so be cautious. Personally, I like his teaching style and find his lectures not boring. Be prepared for the curve down on you final mark.....
I only skipped one class this semester (9am) and I regret it. He is the best lecturer I've had so far and I really liked being in his class however MGT100/ RSM100 are very disorganized. Though fair, I wish there was more focus on the textbook content over his lectures. Your grade is 70% how well you can remember what he says 30% business knowledge.
Have you ever seen Doraemon? If you have memory bread, this class will be easy. Empty your mind and become the professor's faithful repeater, and you will succeed. If this is management, I think it is more useful to let chat-gdp be the CEO of the company.

Ego-driven content (he wants you to rmbr every detail abt his life), course based on memorization rather than understanding, actual course content is dry and mostly common sense. Overall a terrible course. I'd recommend going to every lecture as "everything is testable" (especially stuff that was discussed in class but NOT posted anywhere).

Terrible professors and pointless course. A lot of useless information crammed into my brain for the final exam that made me question the rotman commerce program as a whole. Guest lecturers were questionable and strange. To get a decent grade, memorize every word he says, which was what I did, and make sure your notes are thorough.

My most hated class when it came to tests. He always wanted exact answers, as he had them on his answer sheet. The group project was also complete BS, had so many groups in top 4 just cause they talked in class with their shit product ideas. Overall, just stay away if possible if you have a choice.
Material isn't as hard as people make it out to be, just go to every class, listen, and take notes and you'll do well on the final. Group project was annoying to do and weighted a good % of your mark but if you try a decent bit you will do well. The concepts taught aren't intellectually stimulating though most of it's common sense.
Prof. Khan was honestly a great professor. I'm not much of a participator so I didn't raise my hand in class but I still did well without participating. I enjoyed listening to his lectures and I found that he made them pretty interesting. As long as you attend classes and take notes you will do well!
Very easy course but Michael Khan is just a terrible person overall. He's inflated his ego to an extremely high level where he essentially boasts about his success to a bunch of university kids each class. He is definitely making up for the times where he was bullied in high school.
Not hard to do well and decent lecturer. Unfortunately, a lot of the negative comments are true, having now taken RSM100 and 420 with him. Extremely self-centered, every class felt like it had to revolve around him. Tried too hard to be inspirational, but it came off as performative. Worse of all, has favorite students. Just finished MGT100 this winter and got a 92. Michael Khan is an extremely lecture-focused instructor; midterm and final are basically what he said in the class. As everyone else mentioned, be prepared to take tons of notes and never skip any lectures, as there will be basically nothing on the slides that will be tested. And reach out for notes!!

Saying he teaches like a gorilla would be a compliment
He's an enthusiastic and engaging lecturer. The course is memorization heavy, with 50% final and 30% midterm (MCQ and short answer), plus 2 easy 10% online tests. I barely studied but still passed. Tip: attend office hours, he sometimes hints at exam questions. The prof isn't tough, but the heavy exam weighting makes the course feel that way.
Not sure why all the bad reviews but I found him nice and his tests were fair. Make sure to show up to ALL classes and take notes. Everything is testable, even in the last lecture where he mentions an inspirational quote. The group project is chill if you start early and make sure to find a good group.

One of the biggest narcissists that I have ever met in my life. Not only does he talk about himself all throughout his lectures, but he believes this course is the most important course, thats why he reduces marks for no reason just to feel powerful and to make everyone study their brains off on his course. The course is easy, he makes it hard.

I am paying good money to be taught useful stuff at lectures and to be taught by the professor!! Instead Michael Khan prefers to do no teaching and instead brings in questionable quest speakers to every single lecture. This entire semester I think he taught a full lecture once.

I can't follow his pace, let alone pay full attention to write down every single question he mentioned in class. He doesn't provide any past exams as well as sample questions, so I have no idea for exam preparation. I just found that doing the online practice MCQ directly instead of actually reading the textbook is more helpful and time-saving.

Absolutely terrible! This man is horrible at his job, and doesn't teach anything. lecture are super confusing, boring, and its impossible to take note of what actually needs to be studied. The TA's are rude and all act like he is a god. This man teaches a intro course yet acts like he's a CEO, he should humble himself a bit.
Ya the only way you can pass this course is if you glaze him constantly. you must go to office hours and sit and talk about how amazing he is, and what a revolutionary person he is to the business community. thats the only way you will getting a good mark in this class.
So much memorization. He forces his students to buy a textbook that hes like the author of, and you HAVE to buy from uoft bc it comes with access to an outside source for the quizzes (20% of grade). And he does not provide anything to help you study, he just says "everything is testable" like bffr. I dont feel like i learned much either.

If you're in Rotman, you have to go through this guy. Honestly making INTRODUCTION TO MANAGEMENT the hardest course in first year. Brings in possibly any person imaginable on Earth, and then makes the test super SUPER niche about it. If you're thinking of the phrase "Doing too much," this course is the true, singular definition of it.

Michael Khan overall is a great speaker and presenter. However, when he says "everything is testable", he means it. Expect a reasonable workload with lots of memorization. The primary issue with the class is the amount of useless management terms that need to be memorized. No matter how hard you study, expect MK to throw some curveball questions.

Really, he's okay. The tests aren't too hard, but if you don't take notes during lecture, you're screwed. He will usually say something is important or say it was a past test question on some of the questions that appear on tests. A majority of the questions will be introduced in lecture like that. The rest can be pretty niche, but usually not.
the scariest part about this class isn't even that it tests your memorization instead of understanding. What's really terrifying is that all you're memorizing, someone else's personal opinions. He's not teaching, he's basically training a bunch of robots to repeat whatever he says
I went into this class having run five businesses. He doesn't like teaching business; he likes telling you what to think and marking you wrong on midterms/exams if you have the right concept but didn't copy him word-for-word. He runs classes like a cult of personality, so sit in the front and participate, or you're cooked. gl
This class is genuinely evil. The school uses this class to farm revenue, as they accept too many kids first year, and need to cut them out by using this class a way to generate revenue by forcing people to take summer classes. There's no real intuition coming from this classroom, and the memorization is completely useles.

Textbook content is useless to life (need for test though). Lectures are pretty important to attend. TA's terribly harsh but Michael Khan himself is a good speaker. Definitely wouldn't recommend this class to anyone cus I don't find much of the content useful. Ashley Madison was a funny case to study though | his final lecture was him aura farming.
Professor Khan is da GOAT. Man teaches like he's speedrunning a Nobel Prize. Lectures are so clear I started questioning my own brain for struggling before. Challenging but fair, office hours feel like therapy. If he taught underwater basket weaving, I'd enroll. If RateMyProfessors let me give more than 5 stars, I'd hand this man a constellation.
His lectures were engaging but this course is clearly not a bird course. You need to be physically and mentally present in his class if you want to do well. I remember once the guest speaker said 1 line on something and then a question on that came for 4 marks on the midterm. Midterm is curved up btw but finals are marked pretty tough apparently.

I didn't come here to be best friends with a professor. His lectures are pointless, the textbook is all a bunch of filler, guest speakers brought no value to me or my life.

Textbook is needed for this course but just skim through it and spam adaptive practice. The course is just memorization nothing more. The guest speakers were pretty good, and the group project was kinda fun, but it's useless information you will not use again in your life. If you were one of the kids at the front glazing him 24/7 you're weird.
I thought he was a funny guy. He's like the concept of a business professor. The textbook is just memorization. Half his lecture (~50% of midterm/final) is him talking about real-world cases. The other half is guest speakers doing the talking for him. Did I learn anything? Not really. Was it interesting? I guess. Take notes, don't zone out.

I was really scared at first to see his ratings here, especially about his tests, but they are actually not that bad. His lectures were very engaging with lots of real-world examples & interesting stories. His tests only have 1-2 questions that seem tricky but if you pay effort, you will be fine

Do you see how the comments all talk about the same things, He might show you a rating or two and say "if you study you'll do good", this year his rating tanked because 2007's are more vocal. "Everything is testable". Somehow RSM100 was the hardest course I took in first year. Exams tested the SMALLEST details from the textbook and lectures. All the rumours are true. You HAVE to memorize EVERY word that comes out of Khan's mouth + guest lectures. TAs are told to mark unreasonably hard. Most useless course as well. Genuinely traumatized.

Tough graders for both tests and case comp. Worked my ass off, got burned out but still ended up with a disappointing grade. Whole semester experience and my mental health ruined by this ongoing nonsense. IT'S A TORTURE to go to lectures and try to memorize every single word of some useless content and made me regret choosing Rotman.
Heavy memorization and tough grader. Final really dropped the grade. Probs curved it down also, as now way my grade fell down by that much. I calculated my worst possible grade after the final and it somehow was worse than that also probs a curve down by atleast 5-8%

An honest professor that gives students a real outlook on the business world. The course teaches general business concepts that can be applied in the real world. Michael Khan stressed the importance of getting your name out there and networking, which is great advice. Brought in engaging guest lecturers and assignments were well put together.

This absolute wasteman bucktee might be the uoft's worst prof. Buddy yaps all lecture about random obscure tings then tests you on a comment by a student at the end of the lecture. Hes a cruel grader at that. Avoid this boozer like the plague
The courses had potential, however Michael khan destroyed that potential. The textbook in itself is very good and teaches very basic concepts in investments, HR, accounting, and management. But no no no, Michael khan MUST be different, and instead brings in useless guest lectures, talks about how amazing he is, and tests us on nothing important.

It's okay. Maybe find somebody who does good lecture notes and can share them with you - that way, it's much easier. For textbook, just summarize everything with gpt. If I had read more, could easily get higher, but even going into exam with lower grade, ended up much higher. Participate a few times - he'll probably remember. Exam easier than midt.
not that bad. as long as you follow with the textbook and lectures - you'll be fine. for group project - just find a good idea that makes sense and is simple! try to participate every once in a while. the comments that are very low, they are probably those who barely opened textbook or just don't like studying. honestly, okay!
Overall, he's a great professor and is very clear about what is expected from you on exams. Just know that everything is testable, but not everything is test worthy. If you come to lectures (I skipped a few) and take notes you'll do good enough.

I have a full ride scholarship to this university, read the textbook front to back, I have almost 100% in numerous courses. I'm not a dumb. yet with this man he makes it impossible. Save yourself. This man is a nightmare, unless ur Mike Ross and remember each tiny thing that was said during a lecture (IF u can even hear/register the lecturer..), don't succumb to this torture. Projects and quizzes were fine but the final was the ultimate ragebait. Now I'm upset I had to endure his lengthy talks about “life advice” and cookies…

I don't care what you "can do for me" because your really not that 5. Stop having a huge ego because your career as an auditor didn't last long.
He marks in the most obscure and unfair way, my mark went down by 7% after the final. The only people who give him a 5 are the TA's. He claims that he doesn't curve down, but I don't know a single person's mark who didn't go down after. There will be a question about the 6 CIO functions and remember that environment question.

Final mark went down by 12%. He tested the details of the details. I totally did not know how to answer 1 question as he only mentioned 1 or 2 sentenses in the lecture!!!! The worse part is he is the one and only one professor in this course. He loves RSM100 but your students don't love RSM100.

This course is just exhausting in itself. The textbook is just filler and takes decades to actually filter out what's important. The performative behaviour of both Michael khan and the people at the front who shake his hand is exhausting. The group project that is super unorganized is exhausting. And studying for pointless info is also exhausting.

As long as you attend every class and read the assigned textbook sections, you can not fail this course. Prof Khan has amazing lectures and you can actually enjoy his classes, the hate on him is absolutely unfair and I enjoyed this class with him.

A lot of people hate on Michael Khan but honestly he isn't that bad. He makes his lectures entertaining and he is really good at grabbing attention and creating in class discussions. The midterm and final are hard not because of the difficulty of the questions but because he wants very specific answers directly from the lectures.
Really engaging lecturer and brought in a lot of cool guest speakers! Project and readings took up a lot of time. Final exam was difficult, you have to study everything said in lecture to succeed (esp focus on the cases). A very time-consuming and memorization-heavy course but Khan's lectures were definitely my favourite from last term.
