his tests are extremely hard, and he knows this, but he always gives a good review and is very clear about what is on the tests. he's really nice and funny, but he will not give you a grade-- you have to earn it. just as a warning, his tests are typically 25% multiple choice and 75% fill in the blank/essay questions!
Very easy to talk to and answers ANY question you have. He takes role as a participation grade so go to class. He's an A&M prof so he takes his subject seriously. BEWARE HIS EXAMS! They have writing portions so you really have to know and understand the chapters. He's really cool I highly recommend him for someone who loves Biology
Very hard exams....you must know the material. Lab tests are also challenging, but he is very helpful and is the best bio prof at blinn. Exams are essay, short answer and multiple choice. If you want a challenge take him, if you want to learn...take this guy.
HARDEST TEACHER IVE EVER HAD!!!!! ALL YOUR TEST ARE 90% ESSAY QUESTIONS AND YOU BETTER KNOW HOW TO WRITE A TEXT BOOK TO GET ALL THE POINTS!!! IF YOU STRUGGLE IN SCIENCE DO NOT TAKE HIM!! he does curve the test but its very lil points. he is willing to help you but you earn your grade! dont take him unless you can write essays perfectly!!!!!!!!!
Extremely hard teacher. If you want to breeze through general biology I would recommend to take someone else. He's the reason for me changing majors. Tests are HARD! Multiple choice is stupid. Tests are mainly short essay and you BETTER know what to write. He is the ONLY bio. teacher who makes us write essays. 30 people in my class... five had a/b.
He is a fantastic teacher but his tests are EXTREMELY HARD! He makes the subject interesting and he seems like he enjoys his job.He will help you with any questions that you have. Lab tests arent bad as long as you study. In order to pass his class you MUST STUDY and DO NOT get behind!! Overall a very hard class but great teacher.
SUPER HARD! STAY AWAY for taking this class. all test are about 90% ESSAY and he grades SUPER HARD. if you do end up getting stuck with him then i sugest you go get tutoring from him bc he is great at teching one on one but to be able to pass you would have to spend everyday in tutoring. He really is a nice guy but needs to lower his hardnesslevel
He is an awesome teacher!!! He cares for his students and always is willing to help. His tests are extremely hard, but they prepare you for future Bio courses and/or medical field. I suggest him if you need the class for pre-med, pre-vet, nursing or any health related field. Trust me he's tough but it's worth it in the end. Not a baby Bio course!
Best Teacher hands down. Explains things very well. But you have to study. He offers tutoring one on one.
Dr. Ko is a great teacher. If you're not good at essay exams then this class may not be good for you. At 7:45 a.m. he makes Anatomy interesting, he actually teaches the subject instead of reading off a slide. I got a C, my grades might not show it but I learned a lot in his class, just took me awhile to figure out his test. Taking him for AP2!
This course is very in depth especially for a "community college" course. He's going to expect you to know your stuff, but he teaches the material effectively and is always willing to work with you to get it down.
DR. KO was a very hard teacher, BUT I have learned so much from him! Although it is scary to take all essay exams in an Anatomy class, it teaches you so much and am so grateful now that I took him. He is very helpful and always willing to work with you and he truly cares about you learning. He is a great teacher! TAKE HIM!! (:
I thought that his "all essay tests" wouldn't be too bad, but they were terrible. You have to basically quote the book in order to get partial credit and he's a very picky grader. His multiple choice were horrible as well. A&P 2 is already hard enough, he did not make things enjoyable whatsoever and i wasn't a huge fan of his sarcasm either.
I dropped after his first test. Very physiology based. The tests are eighty percent essay and the rest are multiple choice. He seems like a very helpful guy but I just couldn't handle the essay tests. You basically have to read the textbook word for word and listen to him very closely.
This class is HARD. Ko is a tough grader, but he does this in order to make sure you know your stuff if you are going off to nursing school. His tests are essays, which sucks but forces you to study like crazy. He is very helpful if you go to office hours, but you have to go every day in order to benefit. You MUST READ THE TEXTBOOK DILIGENTLY
Dr. Ko is the man, he is funny, smart and the dude straight up knows his stuff. With that said, if you want to be successful in his course you have to read and practice the material he covers. He will be happy to help you, but you got to help yourself if you want to succeed. Despite the intimidating reviews, I suggest you stay with him!
I absolutely love Dr. Ko. He is a very tough grader, tests are mostly essay with some multiple choice, and the material is tough as it is. However, Dr. Ko is super smart, so sweet, funny and very willing to help. If you truly work hard, read, pay attention in class, and let him know that you're trying, you can do well in the class!
Dr. Ko is a nice teacher, but he gives essay tests. He doesn't tell you before hand what the essay will be about and it could be any little thing out of 4/5 chapters. So basically if you don't know the 1 thing he asks about, you are screwed. Unless you actually study your notes and read the book do not take the class.
Ko is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his students and their level of knowledge. His essay tests are really hard (mainly focus on physiology) and you need to make sure you are able to regurgitate all of his lectures. He offers extra credit and he curves tests based on the highest score, which makes the class bearable. STUDY!
Dr. Ko is a wonderful teacher and I like that he interacts with students during a lecture. This is a tough class and I would suggest you read, listen/take notes/record his lectures, and use the power point as a guide. His class actually opened my eyes to the weaknesses of my study habits.
Dr. Ko is a really nice person, but teaching wise I would recommend another professor If you want to pass
Dr. Ko's tests are mostly essay and some multiple choice but the multiple choice is hard. You need to read the textbook at least once. GO TO HIS OFFICE!! He is very willing to answer any questions you have and will quiz you over the material. He loves processes so those are mostly essay. He offer extra credit but you CAN'T wait a week before finals
Don't be scared. This was a difficult class and you will have to work for a good grade. No HW, just studying for tests. If you are willing to work hard, Dr. Ko will help you to learn/understand. Independent learning in lab, not difficult, and he is there to help with anything. The tests are difficult but scaled up, extra credit is available.
You have to study at least 10+ hours a week to keep up. Especially if you want a DECENT grade on test. They're mostly written with few multiple choice. Although, he's a very genuine guy and has a great personality. Hard prof.****
Dr. Ko is an awesome prof if you know how to study and I mean REALLY know how to study. Took this as my first science class in college and just had to drop 3 weeks before final because I had a 58. You really have to know the material to do well on the tests. If you get stuck with him I reccomend to read the ch every night and asks lots of questions
Dr. Ko is very funny and made class fun and you can tell he wants you to learn. Test are hard, and quizzes are essay form. Even if I knew exactly what the quiz would be over and only studied that, I would never be able to give him all the info he wanted. Will probably end up with a D unless he takes pity on me.
One of the WORSE professors I have ever had. He was never clear on the topic and his test were extremely hard. He never gave reviews which he said was "totally high school." I went in to talk to him about what I should study more and his answers where totally bogus. He's a professor whose only in it to watch students fail
I absolutely loved Dr. Ko! Such a funny and likable teacher. His quizzes are essay format but if you focus your studying on the topics that he really stresses in class, you will be fine. I had to miss a quiz for a friend's wedding and he was super chill about letting me retake it. Tests are MC and essay. Study hard, take notes and you'll be fine.
Dr. Ko was the greatest and I would take him again for any class. He makes you work for your grade but he cares so much for his students and it shows through his teaching. If you can, take him-- you won't regret it! Study and pay attention in lectures. I did not read the book much but studied ALOT. Miss him already.
Dr. Ko is amazing. Sure, the tests and class itself is hard and you have to work for it but he makes sure you understand the information and the topics he is teaching. He is funny and makes the lecture fun. He also cares about his students and make sure he's accessible outside of class for any clarifications. I would definitely take him again.
Dr. Ko's class is one of the most difficult classes I've ever taken and I take most of my classes at A&M. His quizzes are essay and so are some of the tests. If you want to do well you have to memorize EVERYTHING. He's such a nice guy and really cares for his students but if you're looking to get a good grade I would try to find a different prof
Dr. Ko is a very nice guy and really cares about his students. His class is easily the hardest one I've ever taken. He will tell you straight up he knows his class is by far the most difficult at Blinn and tells you to drop. He wants you to learn (memorize) everything. His quizzes are essays and his tests are VERY tricky. Wouldn't take him again
Dr. Ko is a very nice man, although his class is very difficult if you haven't seen anything Biology since High school. The class in general is very dense for information and he is good at teaching it. His tests are tough and not that much lee-way with other grades, but he cares and if you show effort he will help you out. Won't be taking him again
Dr. Ko teaches this class like a graduate class. If you are unable to retain an entire chapter from reading and then answer one essay question from that entire chapter in detail, do not take this class. 50% of the class dropped by the Q date. He tells you that he only puts one essay question per exam not true. His lectures do not cover everything.
I LOVED Dr. Ko! He was hilarious, had interesting lectures and I learned SO MUCH. However, this was by far the hardest class I've ever taken and have never worked so hard in my life. His quizzes are TOUGH, so study the WHOLE CHAPTER! Tests are tough as well. LOVE his personality and lectures, not so much his grading criteria and testing style.
Dr. Ko is the most excellent lecturer I've had in my college career. He is tough on grading, and his tests are difficult, but you will leave lecture really knowing this material for future use.
This is the hardest class I've ever taken and I go to A&M. The class was super hard I learned so much. The essay quizzes were really tough for me, but the essays saved me on the exams. He is hilarious and a great lecturer. Definitely not an easy A but if you put the work in it is doable! I would recommend!
The professor was terrible. He is very unprofessional, as he always uses profanity. He is also not a sincere teacher and carries no regard for his students. He believes that every single student in his course is a Nursing Major and directs his intuition towards Nursing students out of fear of becoming a patient at a hospital with a bad Nurse!
This professor believes in a conspiracy that students from other courses are "coming together" and discussing answers or essay topics for the quizzes in order to make an A in class, so in order to "stop" the students from doing so he gives random Essay Pop Quizzes! Don't be stubborn and hard-headed, don't enroll or withdraw now and SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Hardest Class I've taken, yet one of my favorite classes. Ive never studied so hard in my life, but I know the material better for that reason. This a class only for hard workers. Dr. Ko is truly an amazing professor who loves his students and really wants them to succeed. I would defiantly recommend him for this class.
Great professor, but difficult class. He is willing to help you if you ask. if you are not willing to do the work you will not pass.
Definitely a hard class but if you want to be challenged then he is your man. This was a very engaging class and you have to really listen in class to what he says, if you aren't listening you will not pass, if you want to be in the medical field and want to be good at it take his class.
Dr. Ko was one of the best professors I've ever had. He took the time to get to know all of his students names within the first week of school; he really cares about his students. Lectures are interesting and comprehensible. He will challenge you with detailed essays and tough multiple choice, but it's a VERY GOOD kind of challenge. No regrets.
Took him for A&P 1 and 2, barely got a B both times, but it was so worth it. If you show him that you are working hard to learn the material, he will notice and help you out. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS! LET HIM QUIZ YOU. He really does care; but he's not going to just hand you a passing grade, you have to earn it.
This is a very hard class but Dr. Ko is a great prof. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. This is something I wish I would have done in the beginning. He will sit there and quiz you to make sure you know the material and it really does help. He really does care about his students.
Get ready to learn some physiology!! He definitely would teach you the material, explaining everything in an understandable way. Sure, he would make you study for this class and he will make you earn your grade, but at the end you would say : He taught me physiology and I learned it!!
Dr. Ko was honestly the best professor I've had. I took him over the summer so the class was way to fast paced, but he will do whatever it takes for you to learn the information. His tests are very difficult and have an essay question on each. Don't take him if you want an easy A or B, he is tough! Go to office hours and study hard!
I took Dr. Ko's class back in 2017 but enjoyed it nonetheless. Hes a real gem, his methods may seem difficult but they are meant to be so in order to have a good understanding of the course for years to come. I was sick during this semester and was in the hospital and still managed to make a B. Favorite teacher and really cares for his students.
Ko is a great prof who really cares about his students and wants them to learn. Every test and quiz has one essay question, which makes him harder than all the other MC profs. However, preparing for these essay questions honestly helps me understand all the material really well. So if you really need to understand A&P he's a solid choice, but hard.
This was the hardest class ive ever taken. I feel absolutely stupid in his class. His class cause me more stress than anything. Ive never studied so hard for a class just to fail more test than I passed. His chapter quizzes are essay questions that he grades VERY hard. His test always have several essay questions as well. Do not take.. for real.
Dr. Ko is overall in my opinion a good teacher. he uses stories and made up scenarios to keep us participating and awake in class. His grading is overall fair but if youre struggling , he can work with you. He will make time for his students so they can be successful in his class. The test are a little difficult but manageable.
Dr. Ko is HARD, this is not blow off class or a class you can just cram the night before and get an A on the test. He will make you work for your grade but if you study hard and take it serious, he will see your effort and help you. Office hours are KEY, he will focus on what you need to know and quiz you. Hands down best prof I have ever had.
Ko was one of THE BEST if not best Professors Ive had throughout college at Blinn and TAMU. A&P is hard in general so youll have to put in some work regardless of whos teaching. He teaches very well and does everything to help his students pass. He held extra study sessions for students who needed more time from him. He really cares. Loved him!
ko was a great prof, super enthusiastic about the material and you can tell he loves his job. his essays on tests are pretty tough and they can feel a bit unfair the way he grades them at times, but if you go and talk to him you'll understand your grade better. extremely difficult multiple choice and tests but you'll know the material.
I had Dr. Ko for both Anatomy 1 and 2. Go into this class and read HIS slides. Use the textbook as a supplement. Dr. Ko is very good at what he does, I just wish he taught all the classes at Blinn. Study before going to tutorials.
By far the hardest class I've ever taken, but I learned SO much and would take this class again. Nursing majors, TAKE HIM! You will learn so much and be more than prepared for all upcoming nursing exams. No homework. Tests are very difficult due to the essay portion at the end. Quizzes are also essays. He is hilarious but get ready to work!
Dr. Ko is a really great prof. I really enjoyed his class even if the material was really hard. Tests are part multiple choice and short answer. Quizzes are essay form. I had to adapt how I studied and prepped for his assignments. He's funny and does a great job of being available outside of class. Lab is basically nonexistent.
This is the most difficult class I have taken so far, but Dr. Ko is an amazing professor and he seems to really care about his students. Exams are difficult and you really have to study because his exams are very tricky. Overall, I recommend taking him. I left his class understanding and remembering a lot of material
This was one of the most enjoyable classes I've ever taken. I feel like I really learned the topics that were lectured on and I felt engaged the entire time. Dr. Ko is downright one of the most hilarious professors (If he had a podcast I would faithfully listen to it). I took A&P 1 and 2 at the same time and Ko helped me succeed in both! Best prof.
Dr. Ko is very helpful, the questions are relatively straightforward if you study the lectures. There are no "sneaky" questions, it's a difficult class but he just wants you to learn. Be ready for essay questions, which I actually liked a lot. There's a lot of grade opportunities, but you have to keep up and stay ahead!
There's not a doubt he cares so much about his students. He is extremely lecture heavy as AP2 is a hard class. His tests are extremely hard and he isn't specific on what he wants you to know for the test. He gives essay quizzes and has an short answer portion on every exam. The sudden transition from in person to online was hard for me so I dropped
Dr. Ko is an amazing professor! Out of all the years I have been in school he is at the top of my favorites list. There are very few people that can explain very complicated concepts in such a way that is easy to grasp. That's not to say you don't have to work for it though. TAKE THIS CLASS! It will show you what you're made of. Don't be scared.
Anatomy is hard period. You really have to work for your grade no matter who the professor is. But Dr. Ko is amazing. He gives quizzes in essay format which he grades hard BUT studying his powerpoints/memorizing the topics helps you understand it better. Dr. Ko wants you to succeed and is very funny. Go to lecture and work for your grade!
Honestly if you are going into any profession like nursing school TAKE THIS PROF! You will not regret it. He makes you work for your grade and actively learn but lets be realistic... if you want to go to nursing school his tests are very much like nursing exams coming from a student in nursing school. Wont regret taking him even though he is hard.
Definitely dont recommend if youre not a good test taker. Also its hard to predict what the quizzes will be about, those are essays that are worth many points, which can keep your grade really low if you dont do good. He is also a tough grader. This class takes up a lot of your time, especially bc of online lectures.
Do NOT take this professor if there is anyone else you can take. I am a good student, but his class was miserable. The amount of information is just too much for you to really learn it and comprehend. A good professor should challenge their students, but not try to fail them. There was so much information, I never knew what to focus on.
Dr. Ko is probably one of the best professors I have had in a while. He truly does care about his students and his lectures are designed to allow students grasp hard concepts. I was very nervous about this class but he made my semester a lot better and allowed me to believe that I am capable of learning and understanding A&P
If you're getting overwhelmed by the negative comments, let me make something clear: A&P is the hardest class I've ever taken, and that won't change no matter who you take as a professor. Dr. Ko makes it very clear that he expects a lot from his students, and your hard work will 100% show in your grade. He's kind, funny, and a great professor IMO.
Dr. Ko is easily the most respectable professor I've ever had he genuinely wants to see you succeed. His quizzes and tests were the hardest I've ever taken and I had to work my hardest just to make a B and on his part that is commendable nothing will be given to you in this class. It feels unfair at first, but trust me he is the best A&P II, prof.
Probably the best professor Ive had so far. Gives a very wholistic learning experience. He doesnt want you to just be able to ramble off random facts that you learned from flashcards but how everything works together and why things do what they do. Go to his office hours and ask as many questions as possible. He truly does care about his students.
By far the best professor I have EVER had. He will go above and beyond for you if you put in the work. Don't read the bad reviews because it was probably the people who didn't put in any work. The lab exams were for the most part pretty easy and the lecture exams, if you watch ALL his lecture videos and study ahead you make an A for sure
Dr Ko is by far the HARDEST and BEST professor Ive ever had! He makes you work for the grade, so be prepared to read and study like your life depends on it, but its very clear he cares about each students success. His lectures are incredible and he brings so much passion to the classroom! Thank you Dr Ko!
STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND SIGN UP FOR HIS CLASS NOW. BEST professor I have EVER taken. Not an easy A, but he also brings livelihood to the classroom. As long as you do your part, you will be fine. A breathe of fresh air from other professors. 10/10 would take for every subject if there was one of him for every subject.
Dr. Ko gives amazing lectures & is supper funny! BUT the Exams & Labs are difficult The only thing I do say is be ready to write an essay on a exam, he picks out topics that have a process or that has many steps to it. My only regret is not studying hard enough because he's Great! I would not take him again because I'm embarrassed he also gives E.C
Hes a cool guy, but his exams were kind of tough. He requires an essay portion for exams. I dropped because of how hard his class was. You will have to study hard for every exam/ quiz!
This man.. made my life.. hell. HOWEVER he is probably the best prof I have had so far. He loves his students and will sit down with you and help you study one on one. He is a TOUGH grader, quizzes and exams are essays and he is very specific. But if you are willing to try he will make sure you succeed. Get ready to WORK for a good grade though.
My favorite professor ever!! He is so caring and I like his teaching style. His test are hard, but I now know the information like the back of my hand. He had extra credit on every test and quiz. Also, be prepared for class because he calls on students a lot. If you want an easy A, he's not for you. But if you want to learn A&P, take him!!!
Dr. Ko is a very tough professor because he genuinely wants you to learn the material. He is very caring and wants you to pass , as well he is very entertaining in labs and lectures!
He was a nice guy, and seemed like he wanted you to learn the information. However, he does not give any extra assignments to help boost your grade. He makes the tests worth more than normal, and the tests involve writing essays and barely any multiple choice. Quizzes are all essays, and he gives no hints to what the topic may be. No way to pass.
Difficult class, awesome prof. He's the infamous "short essay quiz" guy, but it really does help you learn the material. He's super engaging in class, doesn't read straight off the powerpoint, and he's constantly available even outside office hours to help you however you need. Definitely take this prof if you actually wanna do good in the class.
Honestly a great professor, class is detailed/a lot of work, but I wouldn't take anyone else. He is kind, a wonderful lecturer, and wants us all to succeed. Someone here said that he never offers bonus work, but we're offered extra credit with every assignment. This person also said the essays are random, but the topics have always been evident.
Ended up having to drop before the 2nd test because he expects everyone to study at least 8 hours a week, even if youre in the night classes because obviously if youre taking night youre also working full time. Its impossible to pass the tests, maybe 20 multiple choice with a written essay with no clues on what the topic may be. Nice guy though
Super nice guy and makes lecture very fun and funny. He is super super hard though. No extra credit, no bumping or dropping grades, no study guide. If you like writing essays without knowing what they could possibly be over, he’s your guy. Essay quizzes and essays on the exam are graded VERY HARD. Good luck if you choose him, you’ll need it!
Dr. Ko is such a fun professor he made class a little less miserable. A&P2 is going to be one of the hardest classes wherever you go and who ever you take it with. Yes, his essay quizzes are a pain but they really help you learn the material and you can figure out what it is going to be about. He also is always available and really caring.
Dr. Ko is by far the best professor I have ever taken. If you are going into the medical field I would highly recommend taking him. He cares a lot about your success, but that means that you have to put in work. The exams do have essays, but if you study and take advantage of his office hours there is no reason why you won't get an A. TAKE DR. KO!
seemed like a nice guy but there is absolutely no reason to give written tests and exams that focus on material HE picks out and not many programs. took blended , lectures posted were hours long , longer than class wouldve been. wasnt aware that many are taking more than his one class. no hw but lots of studying expected on specific things.
great prof. It was a very hard class but he gives extra credit and he trys to help you anyway possible. He rants a lot and goes on tangent about things but he cares about you to learn the topic which makes it us want to be there more. I would highly suggest him as he is a good teach but be ready to learn and write essay for every test!
loved him & would recommend him if you are going into medical field! his class is very hard and requires a lot of studying, but he wants you to succeed. no hw, just tests (MC & essay) & essay quizzes. you have to write word for word what he says for the essays, but watch his recordings & you'll be fine He really helps you to learn the material well
I loved Dr. Ko's class. I don't think I have ever had to study as hard as I did, but it was worth it. I took Microbiology in the summer term after A&P 2, and I was remembering the information that carried over without any issue. He is a great professor and I definitely recommend him, as long as you're prepared to work very hard in his class.
Be prepared in this class to do essay quizzes and essay tests where you won't know what the topic is until you're taking the test or quiz. He is amazing in lectures but in my opinion that does not make up for how hard his quizzes and essays are. They are heavily weighted and you will not be able to make up for them in assignments.
This is a HARD class, but I came out of it knowing more than any other course I have ever taken. I don't think I was ever blind-sided by any essay questions- he heavily hints at what he is looking for prior to testing/quizzing (long processes/ lists). He also is there to help, for everything, so I never felt like I was alone in the process. Loved!
This class is very hard, but I learned so much. After my A&P 1 class, I was unsure if I wanted to go into healthcare. This class helped me figure out how to learn things and truly remember them. Dr. Ko is reachable by email and during his office hours. He is a hard grader on his essay tests, but they helped me to learn a lot.
I love Dr. Ko!! He is a wonderful professor but also a very kind and caring person. He is very encouraging to his students. He is one of the harder A&P professors because he asks essay questions on the exams, but it helps you learn the material really well which is what I wanted going into nursing. There is no homework and he offers extra credit.
My favorite professor EVER. I've taken him 2 semesters because I didn't do too well the first time. He is extremely caring, funny, and just amazing. He DOES have essays which make the class more difficult but if you study you will be fine. A&P2 is hard but he makes it enjoyable. He gives extra credit and is ALWAYS available to help. Take him!!
Y'ALL!!! Dr. Ko is literally my favorite prof of all time. He is so sweet, cares about his students, and is always willing to help. He is definitely one of the harder profs because he asks essay questions, but you really learn stuff which is important for those going into the medical field. He is so entertaining and genuine. Please take him!!
Summer Class Review: Do not take him. 2+ lecture videos for each chapter. We avg. four chapters per week. Surprise prompt quizzes every thursday. Which were harshly graded even when we are learning his material on top of lab in a matter of three days. Exams also consists of an essay and multiple choice. Not just simple a,b,c,d but a or b or a,b,c.
Dr. Ko was my all time favorite professor and thats because I took it in the Summer. I am so grateful for his choice to have us implement what we learned in essays/ quizzes/ exams because it truly made me a better student. Definitely the hardest class i've ever taken, but its so rewarding when you have a professor like him. Pls TAKE HIM if you can!
Dr. Ko is very nice, but if I could go back I would choose another professor. His tests are very difficult with an essay that he won't tell you the topic of. Also, he will try to trick you and will put trick questions on the tests. Overall, he is a good professor but is a harsh grader with difficult tests and almost no extra credit.
yes, he has essay questions & a, b, c, a and b type multiple choice, but dr ko really does everything he can to make sure you understand. offers extra credit (quizzes, lab/lecture exams, final, & other times ;)) his class is doable if you put in the time & study & GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS! this class honestly made me a better student!
This is hands down the most difficult class/professor I have taken. He has essay questions but it is obvious what it will be over - you can narrow it down to 2/3 things. He has multiple choice questions (a&b, a&c, etc) which is tricky. However, he 'dumbs things down' which really helps, and he is always willing to help you. Go to his office hours!
This class was one of the most difficult courses I've ever taken, however, Dr. Ko has been my all-time favorite professor throughout my college career. His lectures make the course material much easier to understand and you can tell he truly cares for each of his students. This course made me a much better student. Take Dr. Ko!
Biggest mistake of your life would be not taking Dr. Ko for A&P. He is the best prof I've ever had. His lectures are AMAZING. His tests honestly are not that difficult and you can figure out what the essay question will be by what he focuses on in lectures. STUDY!!!, go to office hours, pay attention in lecture & you'll do great.
KO is a very nice and caring but useless when it comes to test prep. I went to his office hours for a week only for none of his prep to be on the exam. I asked him what I should focus on, he said he didn't know what was on the upcoming test because he "didn't make it". No test reviews, nothing useful or helpful. Exams are superrrr hard.
Teaching an Anatomy 2 class without anatomical models and strictly slideshow "labs" is painful on the observer. This truly is the new age I guess
IF YOU LISTEN TO ANY REVIEW LET IT BE THIS ONE. I decided to take him because of his reviews saying he truly cares about his students. However time and time againt that was proven WRONG. He flexes that his drop rate is the highest out of all the professors, he talks politicals way too often for an anatomy class. Whatever you do, do NOT take him.
I practically lived in his office hours the second half of the semester, and it helped tremendously. His essay questions are difficult, but worth it in the end. He truly cares about his students, and all the bad reviews are probably because of the disagreements in beliefs, but no matter beliefs, he puts 100% effort into helping everyone.
He was a great professor but do not take this class if you are not good at long answer questions. For every test and quiz we would have to write about a paragraph on a random topic from the past chapters. It would prepare you but it was very difficult, had a sense of humor though
100% recommend Dr. Ko! A&P II is hard no matter what but Dr. Ko explains things in a way that is easy to understand. His lecture exams are challenging but fair, you just have to put in your part! I had to change the way I study which I am grateful for. I didn't go to his office hours but wish I made the time to go. He truly cares for his students!
If you want to actually learn anatomy don't take prof Ko. Constant tangents. Don't bother getting a lab coat. Class is half the length as advertised Well agreeable so you would not want to criticize him but the class was frustrating and hard to keep up. At the end, he will step on your toes as you're dangling from the cliff with glee! 1.5/10
I took this course previously, but I learned so much. It's really not bad if you genuinely just study and utilize office hours. Please take Dr. Ko, he is very caring and will help you understand the material long term. Don't listen to the bad reviews. I had withdrawn from A&P at a different school, and I got an A+ in his course. You can do it.
I definitely recommend Dr. Ko! He's such a sweet, caring, kind soul, he genuinely wants the best for his students. All you have to do is put in the time and effort it takes to prepare, if you don't take the time to study.. you will fail. USE OFFICE HOURS and find people to study with! Also- he's possibly the funniest guy I've ever met
Prof Ko's class is challenging, but engaging if you put in the effort. The exams are tough, but studying with unstuck study and the textbook helps. He cares about students, but his teaching style may not suit everyone. Worth taking if you're willing to work hard.
HE IS HIM!! A hidden gem amongst blinn's professors. Yes the class is hard, BUT I HIGHLY recommend him if you will need to actually know and use this information later on..(side eye nursing majors...). The essays are annoying, but usually predictable and solidify the info. Spam office hours, they will clear up confusion and good to prep for exams.
Difficult class. Great prof. Dr. Ko's lectures are easy to follow and HILARIOUS. Ask questions, study A LOT, and go to office hours. You'll do fine.
If you're taking other tough classes, avoid him; his grading is harsh and exams are extremely challenging with tricky answer choices and big essay questions. But if this is your only hard class, he's a great, engaging lecturer and you'll learn a lot just be ready to study heavily.
Dr. Ko is an amazing professor but HARD. If you show you care about his class and your grade, he will help you. Show up!! He has a very tough class and is a very tough grader. He is old school and doesn't like multiple choice. He favors essays and fill in the blank type exams for his lectures tests. If you don't learn this way, he isn't for you.
