Really nice guy always willing to help or give advice on your projects. The lecture itself is extremely boring, the notes are all on elearning for you to print out,he just reads through them in class. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!!! We never used it, the powerpoint is identical. The projects are kind of tricky if you have never worked in indesign

He is an awesome teacher! Don't let anyone tell you different. You have to go to class, it's his new policy. He's so funny & is extremely nice! Mr. Little will help you if you attend class & actually work. Tests are not that hard!

I enjoyed this class for the most part. His tests can be tricky though. He reads mostly directly from the powerpoint and tells the same stories a couple of times but he's passionate about advertising and loves what he does. Take him!

He made me hate this class :( he's a "book teacher". Powerpoints from the book, test questions from the book, etc. Hardly any material of his own. It made me sad because I wanted to have a fun intro to advertising expereince. Too bad he was too lazy of a teacher to provide it. Ok guy I guess, gets repetitive, hard tests.

He's a really nice guy and will help students out with anything. Go to class though since he has a tough attendance policy. Tests and powerpoints are exactly like the book. I really didn't gain much out of the class and changed my major to PR.

He has a strict attendance policy, but his lectures come straight from the book. So, if you pay attention in class, you don't need to read for the tests. He is very nice and will help with any work if you bring it to him ahead of time.

The only teacher I have ever had that goes out of his way to help his students outside of class. Make sure to take him for your lab to, if you go see him before your assignments are do and help you get a 100. Strict with attendance, but going to class will improve your grade 100%.

I had Little for the lab as well as the lecture.. I wouldn't buy the book because his tests come directly from the slides.. If you have him as a lab instructor be sure you go by before lab and show him what you have done.. If you go show him your work he will correct it and you will get a way better grade

Study the power points for tests- they are directly from it. Go to class, do any extra credit. Pretty good teacher, sometimes goes a little off topic but he's VERY helpful. just go to his office hours and he'll edit your work for the lab. Overall a pretty great teacher/class

Mr. Little is so nice! He wants every student to succeed in his class and is very helpful. For APR260 you only go to class to take tests and to the lab to take the evaluation. Do the lessons in the book for the evaluation and study the review questions and there is no reason you shouldn't make an A. Easy class if you do the work and plan ahead.

Really nice guy, class takes work, do the lessons in time and you will do fine in the class, it can be fun at times to learn how to use photoshop and stuff as well

Always meet him with you lab work and make all the adjustments he suggests--You'll get great grades on labwork. Tests are rough. He gives you a ton of notes, and its hard to filter it for the tests. I've taken 2 tests thusfar and can't figure out how to do well.

Mr. Little is a great professor! He knows what he is talking about and prepares you for the real world! Just make sure you go to class because all of his test questions come from class material. Don't buy the book unless you plan to use it for extra ideas!

Lectures are extremely pointless for this class but he does know what he is talking about. He puts his notes online and the tests come from those. He is always willing to help outside of the classroom for your lab work or for your career.

Mr. Little is one of my favorite professors to date. His class is tough and his lecture on the first day will give you a huge reality check about your career, but he gives you every chance to talk to him. Not only will he help you on your projects, but he'll help you with resumes and internships if you show him you care about advancing yourself.

I absolutely hated this class. I don't understand why we should be tested on design; instead, more of the grade should come from the projects we do. The lectures were pointless, but going to class helped on the tests. Just be prepared to memorize his notes.

Mr. Little is amazing. He goes above and beyond to help his students out - in and outside of the classroom (jobs, internships, projects, you name it and he will help you). His tests are a little tricky, but it's mainly vocab. The projects are actually enjoyable and almost fun.

Mr. Little is a great professor. If you care about APR design at all, he is the person you want to talk to. His tests are hard but the lab work is easy if you know your way around Adobe software. He is also a great advisor. My favorite professor so far.

class is based on the amount of effort you put forth. If you aren't good with Adobe Creative Suite then I don't recommend it. 3 assignments, if you fail 1 then you fail the entire class. Be prepared to teach yourself stuff, the videos are helpful but don't tell you everything. Little is there if you need him. He doesn't do much other than grading.

Mr. Little was a pretty basic teacher. He is there to help when you need him and the class was very easy. The lectures were long and boring. Attendance to this class is not mandatory and all I had to due was study the notes he provided us with inline to make an A in the class. I learned a lot in the lab with the lab instructor then in the lecture.

I wasn't a huge fan of Mr. Little's class (I hate classes where I feel like I only need to read the textbook and show up on test day in order to pass), but he is an EXTREMELY helpful prof to students in the APR and PR departments on getting involved/build your resume/etc. Cares a lot about his students and very willing to help out outside of class

He is extremely passionate about his job, and always willing to help you out. He kept us informed about internship/job opportunities throughout the semester. Attendance is mandatory and the lectures can be a little boring, but he does his best to keep it entertaining. Do not take if you are a bad at test taking because the only grades are 3 tests.

Mr. Little changed the attendance policy for lectures, so now you only get around 2 excused absences. Lectures are long and pointless because he puts everything online. Tests are pretty easy if you study, but expect a lot of work outside class from the lab portion.

His test are brutal! I study so hard for them and cannot succeed. The lab is going to save me. He is passionate about what he teaches though. His attendance policy is strict so make sure not to skip or it will affect your grade. Great professor, tough class.

If you're an ad or PR major, this is the guy you want to know. He's a good lecturer in general, but the real benefit of having his class is getting to know him outside of it. He is so willing to help you with your resume, linkedin, internship search, really anything to help you be successful.

Definitely knows what he's talking about. Didn't pay much attention in class but I read the textbook and have gotten all A's on the exams. Just expect a lot of work for the lab part, there are weekly projects. Overall, once you learn how his tests are, it's not bad at all.

He really cares about everyone being successful in college, as well as in their future. Add him on linkedin and get to know him personally! He's super nice and wants to set you up with people in the business. He knows what he's talking about and is very passionate about his job.

He is one of the best people to get to know in the APR department! He is so willing to help you, whether it's with class material, reviewing you resume, Linkedin, etc. Take the time to get to know him and it will benefit you. Also, the tests really aren't hard at all. They come directly from the notes and what he says in class so they're very fair.

Get to know Mr. Little if you want to go somewhere for PR, advertising or graphic design after college! He is extremely helpful with developing resumes and portfolios! As a professor he is very direct and the course content isn't difficult. Make sure to select a good TA for lab because that is the hardest part of the class.

He is a really awesome and kind guy overall who genuinely wants to see you succeed. His lecture style is very calm and direct, but if you genuinely have interest in the subject, then they should not be too bad. The only grades are 4 tests and a final which is good and bad. No homework, but you have to make your tests count.

Professor Little is definitely someone you want as a reference and guide in the public relations and advertising worlds. He has great experience and is very knowledgeable. Tests are always harder than you expect them to be, but they aren't impossible. Your lab TA is honestly your make-or-break factor for this class.

The lectures for this class are kind of unnecessary because he basically just restates the printed out notes. His tests are very difficult too. But as a professor, Little is one of the most caring people out there. He wants you to succeed. Talk to him during office hours about your intended career path and he will guide you on the right track.

Very nice guy. Definitely knows what he is talking about and you can tell he cares. It sucks though that the only grades are your 5 tests. No homework. No extra credit. Attendance is taken but not for points. If you miss more than 3 unexcused though it hurts you. Not allowed to have computer or phones out. Lectures can get kind of boring though

The tests are hard but if you go to class every day and actively take notes you will pass. INCREDIBLE mentor! He always gives examples of his successful students and it gets you motivated for the future!

Kind of reminds me of that one uncle you have that is a little too cheesy and always takes too long with his toasts at dinners. Nice, knowledgeable, and caring, but also (sometimes) cringy and monotone lectures. But honestly, his tests are easy if you pay attention in class and his network is incredible. He means so well and really wants the best for his students. You can only miss 3 classes without a letter grade drop. You technically can't be on phone or computer or automatic letter grade drop. His notes are already on blackboard but dont expect an A on them? Info seems like common sense but somehow the tests are hard ?? No clue how he does it.

Little is great and is always ready to help his students. However, his lectures are very boring and mandatory. The information he tests on is easy and pretty much common sense but you will not make a 100 on the tests.

A lot of people think his tests are hard, but if you use Quizlet and the notes from Blackboard you'll be fine. Lectures can get boring because he can get very repetitive. Expect him to tell the same anecdote at least 5 times. He does want his students to succeed though and is a great person to stay in contact with

I took Professor Little my freshmen year. He is super helpful and really wants to see his students succeed. He is vocal about his office hours and is always willing to help. The class material is very straightforward. 5 tests, no cumulative final, no extra credit. If you read the chapters and study the notes, you'll be fine!

great and supportive professor. I took an online class with him. he's not great at responding the emails. I took this class a year ago, and he still hasn't put in my grade. it was a pass/ fail class. complete nightmare.

Little is a great guy and loves what he is teaching, but Intro APR is just very dense and content-heavy. Only grades are four exams so you have to do well and reading the book is the only way to do good. Do not take APR221 if you don't have to, but Little made the class more enjoyable.

Professor Little is a great all around teacher. He makes plenty of jokes during lectures to keep you engaged, and is one of the most easily approachable professors I've ever had. I would go out of my way to take him again in the future. TLDR, take Professor Little's class!

Professor Little was really great at giving opportunities for students to get involved with things outside of the class! Pretty much the whole grade was tests which were often a little hard, and a discussion post for each module. I took it online and it was fairly easy except for a few tests that brought my grade down.

Mr. Little was a great professor! He really cares about his students and the material he is teaching. People who said they struggled in 241 probably didn't go to class as much as they should have. Only grades in the class are 4 tests so make sure you study. Otherwise, he's a great person to talk to and he even wrote a recommendation letter for me!

Attendance is not mandatory but it is recommended to go. He creates helpful test tip videos prior to tests that will tell you what is in the question pool, a really great study tool. He is a great professor and is super interesting. He cares about his students current and former and wants to see you succeed. Grade is made up of 4 tests.

Professor Little is a great guy and connection to PR majors. There are 5 total exams. He posts "test tip" videos online which tell you exactly what to study, just make a Quizlet with all of that and study it. He has an attendance policy where you can't miss 3 unexcused classes without a letter grade drop. Whether this is real or not, I am not sure.

Grade was based on five tests that you def need to study for, but makes videos saying what to study. Lecture is not mandatory, but I liked it and he can tell who goes. I would have done better if I had figured out my study routine earlier in the year. Final is not comprehensive, just another test. Only homework is filling out a few research surveys

I don't understand why people have bad things to say about Mr. Little, most likely because they failed the class or didnt do the work. Mr. Little is nothing but nice, caring, and respectful to all of his students. Even if you don't show up to class if you READ the textbook for assignments and WATCH the videos he gives you, you'll be fine.

10/10 teacher. Tests are difficult and those are about the only grades. He will help you get connected and get real-world experiences. He cares about his students a ton.

Little is an amazing speaker who put a lot of efforts into his presentations. The tests are difficult, but his notes cover all that will be on it. As long as you study you will do well. He is great at giving you connections and resources for your academic and professional career.

Professor Little is Amazing. 10/10. Gives great lectures and puts a lot of time into his presentations. Not much homework, but quizzes due before the test. His tests are based directly on the slides, so if you study and know the concepts on the slides you will do well. Great connections and internship opportunities.

I like him the lectures are funny and interesting and he makes it very clear what will be on the test with very few deviations if any at all yes there are only test and 2 point quizzes but its not that hard to do well on them as long you study and go to lectures. He also has guest speaker which I think very interesting!

Coming from a senior, APR 241 is probably the easiest class I've taken at UA. Little makes it so easy and as long as you watch his test review videos and learn those definitions you'll get an A without coming to class. Definitely recommend if you need an easy elective. There is also no homework, just very easy exams.

Mr. Little is an amazing teacher. Attendance isn't mandatory but you should definitely go- his lectures are really engaging and very helpful. He posts test tip videos before every test explaining the exact material you should study for the tests and you only have 4 (unlimited attempt) quizzes for homework each section of the material. I love Mr. Little. He is such a great professor with a lot of connections. His test are kind of hard so you are going to have to study a lot. He does tested videos so you know what is going to be on the test. If you work hard his classes are for you and you will gain so much knowledge.

Little is very experienced in PR and knows what he's talking about. His tests are not too difficult if you skim the textbook. Definitely utilize the videos he sends out a few days before the test. I have nothing negative to say about him! Little is a great professor!

Ive taken APR 241 and MC 101 with Mike Little. He is an incredible professor. He does not make class mandatory and truly wants his students to succeed. His test tip videos are your biggest helper for both classes. I make quizlets off of the test tip videos and study those.Tests take up the majority of your grade so I wouldn't wing it. No drop test

Professor Little is an amazing professor. It is worth introducing yourself to him. His class is 4 exams which aren't very easy but if you study you'll be okay. For an intro class, it is on the harder side, but as long as you apply yourself, it's not bad. He's very understanding and easy to talk to. I would take him again if I could.

Mike Little is so such a great guy. You can tell he really loves what he teaches so if you don't care for the class you may not like him lol. His tests can be hard, but if you watch test tips/study you'll be fine. The only thing youre graded on is 4 tests (no EC) and a few discussion posts and quizzes.

Took this class completely unrelated to my major and still had a great time. Professor Little is a great guy and a fantastic lecturer who cares a lot about what he teaches. The only struggle is that your grade for the entire class is based on just five tests throughout the semester. Watching test tip videos and paying attention are recommmended.

Little is probably the best professor to connect with for APR. He knows everybody and can get you an internship if you work with him. There are four tests that make up nearly your entire grade. They're tricky, 50-question scantron tests that you need to study for. The man is dedicated, though. Had a heart attack and was back the next week.

Loved this class!! The lectures are posted before class, posts study guide, "homework" is a good padding since there is no extra credit, tests aren't the easiest but not impossible. Overall I had to work in the class but his teaching style made it easy to want to go to class. Would recommend it, just know its not an "easy A" class.

Love Michael Little, if you are in CIS you need to take him and make a connection. He has so many connections and can help you with internships and jobs. His classes are very test heavy and hard to get a good grade. No extra credit so its all based on your test scores. Test are all 50 questions, 40 multiple choice and 10 T/F.

One of the most understanding teachers on campus! Goes above and beyond to give resources for his students!

I cannot recommend Mike Little enough. Had him for MC101 and APR241 and he is just the best. He is so good at lecturing, is accessible, and brings in speakers from on-campus clubs to talk to class. Downside is majority of grades are based on 4/5 tests, so you need to preform well, but he posts test tip videos before each test. He is just the best!!

Mr. Little was AMAZING! He was honestly the best professor! He tries to ensure that students are prepared for tests by posting test tips videos beforehand, and is always available to answer any questions! Without studying, you will have trouble in the class since there is 4 tests and discussion posts are only worth 2 points, so do your part!

love him!! There's 4 tests, and he makes test tip videos which guide you through the each one. Attendance isn't mandatory but I always went because he was so kind and helpful. Discussion checks each week which are a great boost to your grade. He's super connected and is always sending us new job opportunities.

super easy class, I would def take again. class isn't mandatory but if you want help from him he will look back to see if you have logged in. every chapter has a discussion a quiz do every week but they aren't hard. he is such a nice guy and is very interesting. I highly recommend him!

Mr Little cares about his students and he doesn't give busy work. You typically have a short discussion or writing and then just the tests. Content is incredibly straightforward. Questions on the test are in an application manner so it makes the content tangible. He cares about her future and he's a great person to stay in contact!

He's a great professor. Your grade is really based on the 4 tests you have (quizzes and discussion posts are 2 points each so 16 points per unit is guaranteed) Honestly easy class, the tests are kind of hard but if you watch the test tips then you are good. Lectures kind of boring, but you can tell he is passionate.

Skip class? You will pass! All jokes aside, everything he covers in the lectures is directly from his slide presentations, which are available on Blackboard. So, not to encourage skipping, but.. if you study well with Quizlet or flashcards, use the textbook, test tips, and slides, you really don't need to bore yourself with bi-weekly lectures.

Professor Little is absolutely amazing and the most personable professor! He is so easy to talk to and is willing to work with you on any questions you may have, even during testing. His tests are fairly easy if you watch the test tip videos he makes. I would take this class again just because of how kind, caring, and understanding he is.

Mr. Little is an amazing veteran at the College of C&IS who is readily available for career advice. He makes himself available to his current and past students. However, he isn't too soft. Attendance matters in his class.
