This guy knows what he's talking about.... puts things across nice and easy ......... Highly recommended for a Marketing class

sales management is his strength. he's a sales person therefore he's got alot to tell us about what to and what not to do. i found him very fun and amuzing.

Mike's class is pretty easy, tests especially, he give you lots of options. Lectures can be boring so don't feel bad if you miss them. Just read the slides. Expectations for assignments aren't always clear though. And he talks about his own e-commerce business a lot, maybe too much

MICHAEL MADORE is great. He is such a laid back, nice, easy going guy. Class is terribly boring, but he does try. Class load is light, exams are easy, and cases are a breeze. Don't hesitate to take a class with Mike, he's awesome.

Such a breeze! Don't even need to buy the textbook because he bases it on his powerpoints! The only one you have to buy is the extra reading!

I highly reccommend taking 3020, or any class for that matter, with Mike. He is passionate about marketing and appears to know it pretty well too. His lectures can be boring at times, but Im sure they could be worse too. You dont even really need to go to class to do well. Marks cases extremely easy, and his tests are a breeze if you are prepared.

Mike is a great prof. He likes to help his students. So what if he favours that students that actually show up for class? If you didnt go to class then you dont deserve a good mark

Mike is an amazing prof! His lectures are very interesting and there is usually not enough time to get through all the slides. Slides are straight from the textbook. 3 cases 1 project, and 3 tests, no final! I am taking 2 more classes from him next semester.

I can't see how people give mike a bad rating??? I rarely go to class but he knows my name and is very nice to me, and doesnt mark me according to how often i go to class? I think i've taken 4 courses with him. He is helpful if you need his help, and he is very kind, and easy. If you get a c in his class...you probably didnt study AT ALL.

Mike is a fantastic teacher. I don't understand how he is getting bad ratings. His lectures are captivating. Held my attention for 3 hours (summer course). His tests are very straight forward, cases and projects are pretty decent. He knows is stuff and is able to relate it to every day stuff. I'm going to take as many courses with him as possible!

Mike is a great prof that is willing to help whenever you need it. Exams are moderately difficult, but almost all from slides. He can get a little sidetracked in lectures with stories, but they're interesting and add value to the course. Overall, a strong recommend.

Mike! I like him as a prof. He doesn't have a final or cumulative tests. You have to do cases and a LOOONNNGGG business plan, but that is the reason I took the class. He's always ready to help, and he's a fairly easy going guy.

Great prof & class. Even though Mike is an AA, he is a much better lecturer than 90% of the mgt faculty. Would recommend taking classes with him during your degree.

Mike is a great Prof, really helpful. He's a little monotone in class but really willing to help students where he can. Material is presented in an easy enough manor. Class expectations are pretty straight forward and clear. His tests can be tough but assignments are easy.

He is very helpful and passionate. He uses lots of real world examples that can either help or hinder your experience based on how you learn. He is a little shameless with self promotion but he knows his stuff

Great teacher! If you put the effort in to be a good student you will have no problem passing! He doesn't take attendance but I would suggest going or you will have a hard time passing. He is very approachable and usually replies to email fast! If you can take his course, take it!

Michael is an enjoyable prof. He aims to make his lectures very example based and offers insight with his own business. However he assigns 100 pages of reading (one chapter) and then covers it within one class. if you don't read you won't pass the tests. His class requires a ton of assignments but he marks easily if the criteria is there.

Exams are straight definitions for the multiple choice and he often tells you what to focus on in the lectures for the written part of the exam, making them fairly easy if you study. Overall great prof really enjoyed his class!

Pretty smart guy, he knows what he's talking about and his tests are straightforward. If you study well, then you'll be set for the written portions of his exams. He does try to get students to participate in the lectures by asking good questions. You don't need the textbook since his slides do the trick.

Good prof that has real world knowledge. Tests are fairly easy as they are straight from the powerpoint slides and he pretty much tells you what the short answers are going to be. Group project makes up a lot of the marks though.

Madore is great! Show him you care about your studies and be involved in class. Very involved professor who speaks about a lot of extra opportunities(IME, etc.). Very knowledgeable about personal examples for every concept that really ties the class together.

I did the IME program with Mike and I can say he really made my experience a lot better. He had faced criticism from students in the past. I knew this coming in but he has been the most approachable, and helpful prof to me. Mike really helped me reach my goals academically and helped me personally he is a great prof and one of my favourite at UofL

IME is challenging and if you haven't been exposed to real world experience I couldn't recommend it more. Mike's role is largely administrative and he does what he can to be accessible to students. four courses, one cohort, charity work, event coordination, student driven learning and small class sizes make it worth the mountain of work. I loved it

Tests are based on the slides so it makes it nice if you show up for the lectures, if not he still posts the slides on moodle if you miss. Tough grader on group projects, but tests and challenging, but easy to pass.

Mike is a very accessible professor who is always willing to meet with students. He is a little vague on expectations of assignments but is willing to clarify. His tests are based on what he lectures on which makes it really easy if you show up to lectures. There is a lot of homework, however he does give lots of class time to complete projects.

Mike is a good prof, he cares and is easily accessible when needed. He checks in often and offers helpful advice. If you ask for help, he will do his best to help you. He is also pretty fair and flexible when it comes to projects/assignments.

Despite the other bad reviews, Mike wasn't a terrible prof. If you follow his rubric exactly how he wants it, you'll get a good mark. He barely gives any feedback on your papers. The Google Ad assignment was stupid because we had to write it out, then scan it, then send it to him. But honestly, just do what he says, and you'll get a good mark.

Fun class & a nice guy.

Mike is a good professor! He definitely makes you work for your grade as he keeps you very busy! There is always something to do for his class. It takes up a lot of time. Lots of group work, make sure you get a good group.

Mike was a great professor! He knows lots about small business management! As long as you attend class you will have all things you need to know for the exams. The simulation was also lots of fun!

Michael is such a good Professor. Interesting, informative lectures. And with many group tasks, there may be a little more assignments. But we learned a lot during these group assignments. So I can't understand those negative comments. Overall he is a good professor who can actually bring you knowledge and skills with have some challenges!

very easy to talk to, cares about his students, makes jokes, relaxed loved that he told me to keep out any fluff when writing a report. " get to the point" type which I like taking his class next sem textbook not required

Took this course with Mr. Madore last semester and has been one of my favourite classes thus far. I have taken three classes with him and must admit he is one of my favourite professors at the university. Although his courses may be heavy, they are very easy to succeed in. Pay attention in lectures, review the slides thoroughly, and ask questions!

Had MKTG 3862 with Madore in Fall 2023 and really enjoyed the course. Lectures and assessments are both engaging and fun. With his quizzes, some tips would be to review the textbook content and pay attention to examples in class as they both appear on the quizzes. He is very fair with assessments and available to discuss them anytime!

Michael is amazing! He is so great in giving feedback, I agree that the course have a little much workload than others, but I really enjoyed that...

I've taken multiple classes with Madore. While he sometimes talks about himself, which can feel irrelevant, his tests are easy. He can be harsh with grading and isn't afraid to give a zero if you get it wrong. His assignment outlines are confusing, but he's insightful, and some assignments are practical and helpful for real-world situations.
