Terrible. He spends most of his time scolding everybody b/c he assumes all students were taught incorrect in high school. He has his notes pre-written, so instead of running through problems in class like he should, he just shows them for a good three min, explains it super fast, then removes it before you even get a chance to follow along.

While the material can seem daunting, his explanations are knowledgeable and understandable. He points out what's useful and what isn't. Provides enough material for students to succeed, if they put in the work and effort, the class should go smoothly. Grade is a combo of only your exam scores, which is a bit meh, but he's a cool, funny teacher.

Honestly not a bad prof if you actually try. Attendance and hw not required, but it helps a lot for exams. Light grader as long as you get calculus right. Not responsive to emails. Dont take his rants and callouts personal and youll be fine, hes just really into calc. Doesnt bog you down with unnecessary concepts and topics. Made calc easy for me.

Prof. Marcozzi has no gimmicks. He gets straight to the point with how he teaches. However, it is clear that if you show up to class, you will do well. 5 week summer course went by extremely fast. The assigned homework aren't for credit but really helps practice material for the exams. Be prepared to dedicate time after class to be successful.

Marcozzi is straight to the point. However, in my case, even if you showed up to class every day, did the homework, understood the lectures, and even got tutoring, it did not help. I stayed after for help, and he would not explain it in any way helpful. Overall, I would not retake with him again.

Almost all of these bad reviews are due to people being lazy, plain and simple. Mr. Marcozzi was very upfront from day one regarding expectations and outcomes. This was my first math course in roughly 8 years, and I never felt lost, mainly because of how he taught. However, be prepared, homework, while not mandatory, will be essential for success.

Relatively easy teacher. Very lenient when it comes to grading. Ex. you made an algebraic mistake on a test, but your calculus was right, you'll lose little or no points at all. Very passionate about math-his lectures are pretty easy to follow through. Although attendance not mandatory, pls pls go to them because they actually matter in passing.

Mr. Marcozzi is one of the best professors I've had at UNLV. He is very passionate at math, and is an expert in his field. Like he has said "You would want to learn basketball from Lebron James, so you would want to learn math from a math expert." He breaks down Calculus to the simplest forms and has slides that highlight the steps. Do the homework
