Organic chem is tough no matter who you have but Marino made it less of a nightmare. Read the textbook, do the hw, and do his practice quizzes and you'll be fine on the tests. Definitely take him for CHE 112.

As a student who struggled with Chem all throughout highschool, taking it in my first semester and not being able to pass it was tough. I went into this class the next semester feeling scared, but Professor Marino made Chemistry enjoyable. He made it an easy course to pass and gave us everything we needed to pass. GREAT professor.

Struggled with Chem in high school and was concerned taking organic chem my first semester of college. Took this class at 7:30 in the morning yet it was enjoyable. Prof Marino is a genuinely nice person who really cares about his students and will go out of his way to help them. He makes it possible for anyone to pass and he's hilarious!

Great professor! Even though this class was extremely early it was worth it. He makes the class interesting and fun. He gives practice quizzes for each chapter to help prepare you for the exams. I just took professor Marino over the summer for Chem 112 and I must say there is no other teacher for Chem then him. For the simple fact that I never took Chem before ever in my life his teaching ability is insane. I walked out everyday understanding his material. If not he will be there for as long as you need. Honestly he is just awesome.

Take his class! I was super nervous about this class because I'm just not that good at science but he really breaks down the material and makes sure his students understand what he is teaching. There are a few tests and a cumulative final. I wish he would teach more courses because I would definitely take a class with him again!

Took this professor for che112 . I haven't taken a chem class in 7 years and this professor is able to deliver information to his students during lecture that is clear and concise. Dr. Mike is the best professor at Molloy. Definitely makes you work for it but he is an amazing professor. Take him at all costs!

Dr. Marino is one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. He is always happy to help you and answer questions. For every chapter he gives a bunch of practice questions which will ensure you understand the topic and do good on the exam! He's also super funny and makes chemistry class fun. The exams are fair and similar to the practice questions!

Dr. Marino is hands down the best professor Ive ever had! Only had him for lab but if you can get him for lecture take him!! He helped review for my lecture exam and made me understand more from him than my other professor. He is truly the most caring man in the world! Lab write ups are annoying but easy A if you do them thoroughly.

I am a nursing major and I took Dr. Marino for organic chem I have always struggled in chem until I got him. His office is always open and he answers emails within minutes. I would go to his office once a week to review what I learned in class and emailed him with questions. He makes sure all of his students are doing ok and finds ways to help us.

He's an amazing teacher who really cares for his students. When asked a question multiple times, he never gets frustrated, just explains it over until we get it. He asked us the first day of classes the best way for us to learn, and he's really hands on when it comes to really learning. A perfect example fo a passionate teacher who really cares.

This was the best professor for chem. He is one of the best teachers I've ever had and if you have the chance to take him, take him. He is the best and so hilarious! Really helps you to understand the material rather than just learn it and forget it. A fantastic teacher!

Dr. Marino is a true goat, no words could possibly describe this man. He's interesting with great stories to connect to chem, and very interactive on zoom. Very fun & detailed in lab; be thankful if you have him in both lecture & lab. If it weren't for him, college orgo wouldn't be a breeze. Workload is doable, he is a gift from heaven. TAKE HIM!!!

DR. MARINO IS THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! As someone who almost failed high school chemistry and was absolutely dreading having to take it in college, I was beyond relieved. He genuinely cares about all of his students and wants them to succeed. The class was asynchronous and online, and he spent hours making lecture videos that explained everything.

I always struggled with chem and was nervous when I had to take it for the nursing program. Dr. Marino is one of the best professors I have ever had and is so caring and helpful.

One of the best Professors here. Makes Chem less difficult, really interesting and funny, has a great sense of humor and jokes. Gave us more than enough time for tests/ quizzes, and made them all multiple choice. Emails back fast. Explains well and gives you additional resources/ links to videos to succeed. Really wants everyone to do well.

He is the best. I had previously failed chemistry and didn't understand it at all but when I took him he made it so easy. He is so sweet and caring. If you can take him please your guaranteed to pass as long as you pay attention. He even replaced our lowest test grade with our final grade.

Dr. Marino is great! I had him for FST my freshman year at the peak of the pandemic in the fall of 2020. He followed the guidelines but had fun discussions instead of boring lectures. He was very helpful in finding resources to help me succeed in my other classes and I wish I could have had him for chemistry. Take him for anything you can!

Dr Marino is THE BESTTTTT a real gem. He genuinely cares about his students understanding the material and will go out of his way to help out in anyway. Gives over 200 practices questions and quizzes and will record himself teaching the chapters again for us great guy

He cracks a lot of jokes which eases the tension that chemistry may give off and he teaches incredibly well. Marino is by far the best professor I had this semester. He is extremely caring offered any help you may need. He is also very funny and makes his lectures very engaging and easy to understand. He makes time for review sessions before tests and encourages us to do our best. Ive struggled with chem since high school but Marino helped tremendously.

Absolutely loved Dr. Marino even tho I didn't have him for chem he was so helpful when I didn't understand my own chem homework and answered any questions I had. He's such a kind and funny person. AMAZING teacher overall.

He truly is the reason I am not failing chem! He makes videos of him going in depth of the powerpoint which is so helpful to watch before his tests. You definitely need to study and put the work in but he makes organic chemistry so much easier and really cares for all of his students and is so understanding.

GOATED. Take if you get a chance. Lectures are light-hearted with jokes here and there, but it's easy to follow and there are lots of resources included with assignments and test prep.

Professor Marino has amazing energy!! As a previous Bio student, I can say he makes things very flowy & easy going. He's considerate of everyone's situations but you will have to advocate for yourself when it comes to your needs. Go to his office hours with questions for either lecture or lab. He drops MANY practice problems its extremely helpful.

MARINO IS THE GOAT FR. Never had a professor who cared about my grade more than him. The fact that he makes hard topics so easy is truly a gift. gives a ton of resources to help study and ALWAYS responds to emails. you can tell he loves what he does and tries to pass all of his knowledge to his students. love this guy

Very nice guy. His classes were okay. PowerPoints are meant as a guide for practice problems - so do the practice problems. Test questions are often harder than quiz questions. Questions are worth lots of points. It is up to you to put in the hard work.

Organic Chemistry is a very hard class but I recommend taking another professor. He teaches very good but his tests are way harder than his actual reviews and practice quizzes. He only grades on four exams but take him if you can keep up with workload.

GREAT PROFESSOR! Please take him! He makes Inorg chem a lot easier. Gives lots of resources to help. Very caring and understanding. He drops the lowest quiz and lab grade. Make sure to prepare for quizzes and exams, they count for a lot.

Marino was the BEST! He drops your lowest quiz and homework grade. As long as you complete the homework you will get a 100. He provides you with a lot of material as long as you try you will do good.

There are three tests and then a cumulative final along with quizzes and homework's. He is also great at answering emails or going over any questions that you have after class.Definitely take his class

I had him for Inorganic chem 1 and 2 and overall he is a wonderful professor who cares about what he does. He tries to make sure you do good in his class and is a very fair grader. He makes the lectures interesting and has a great sense of humor and he is also very accommodating. I would definitely have him as a professor again if possible.

BEST PROF! he is so kind and funny, not to mention he gives so many extra credit opportunities and uploads videos solving problems upon request. He also always provides outlines and weekly updates about the class, its so helpful. I transferred from NCC and can confidently say he's the best professor i have taken out of both schools I've attended!

Professor Marino makes a tough subject manageable. He provides ample resources and really cares about students' success. Using Unstuck AI alongside the textbook and lectures helped me ace this class.

Dr. Marino is a saint. He always tries his best in his lectures to ensure students leave content. He gives resources and practice problems and responds to questions via email usually within the hour. He's also lenient if you need an extension. Quizzes + exams are fair and organized. You can get an A in this class, I just didn't put in 100% effort.

Such a great professor please take him if you get the chance, makes things easy to understand and even has supplemental videos and practice quizzes on canvas. AMAZING PROFESSOR! TAKE HIM OMG. He literally saved our class after our first professor got fired. He is so nice and funny and gives such clear lectures with extra resources to help, and he records lectures if you are absent or need it. He gives extra credit on exams, which are so reasonable especially if you study. Definitely my favorite prof !!
