Markegard is a pretty easy teacher and is easygoing. Quizes for precalc are open notebook. If you need to take a math class, go vor Markegard.

Great kind easy going teacher who cares for students and will spend as much time as needed to help out. If you need to take a math class, take him!

I had Dr Markegaurd for 125 and 201. In my opinion he is the best professor on campus. He is very helpful. He will make sure you understand what you are doing no matter how much time it takes for him to explain. Best professor EVER!

Just wanted to say I had him when he taught at my high school. He was the best math teacher I have EVER had. He has a daughter that goes to WSU and understands completely what it is like to be a college student. He makes math fun, seriously.

Had him for 125 & made sure to have him for 201. He's fabulous. Would take another class in a heartbeat. Makes math fun!!! Good sense of humor. very accomodating.

he was the best math teacher i have ever had, and i hate math!! he is very helpful and willing to answer any of your questions. as long as you understand what he does in class you will do fine on the tests. this is an easy course as long as you do the homework even though he doesnt collect it

Ohhh he is such a cute little man... and if you ask for help he will redially give it to you. he is so nice and he gives you M&M's every once in a while... oh its a good time !!!

this guy is great. i found the class easy, but it is about as basic math as you can get. he is a great teacher though. very organized, very nice, very funny. if i did have a problem, he was extremely helpful. i'm not sure if it's possible for him to get angry...

I hated math all through high school, get here and it's still not fun, but I understand. Goes through a lot of examples which really help in understanding the assignments. Awesome teacher, very helpful and willing to spend time explaining. Great prof!!!!

Markeguard is a great math professer. He makes the class very easy by letting you use assignments/notes on quizes to help u understand the material better. I would highly reccomend him to anyone. Very friendly & helpful overall.

Awesome Math Professor!!! One of the best math teachers I have ever had! Always goes over problems that students have questions on. Goes over material very well and makes sure everyone understands it before moving on. Always willing to help whenever you need it. You would be stupid not to take him for this course.

AWESOME Teacher! Very helpful. Makes the class fun. You can use your notes and homework on the quizzes so that makes them really easy. If you just look over the material you should be fine on the test. I highly recommend him!

One of the best professors at WSU. I missed a test, and before I had a chance to email him about it, he had emailed me asking what was up, and he gave me a chance to retake it. Makes sure everyone understands it.

Nicest guy EVER! Extremely helpful and very understanding. Makes sure everyone is clear on everything, reasonable homework load, tells you your grade after every test/quiz, gives you the chance to redo all of your homework before the final. I'm TERRIBLE at math but I'm actually doing good. TAKE HIM!

Markegard really explains the material. I was always better at Algebra, but he clarified things i didn't remember. You do HW on the internet & he passes out a ton of worksheets that you don't turn in. You get to use notes on quizzes. He's pretty much a great teacher!

Absolutely an amazing professor! When Markegard teaches, it's hard NOT to get an "A" for a grade. He gives a lot of practice problems to students ACTUALLY learn it and he knows how to "dumb it down" so everyone can understand. He is very polite and very approachable. I HIGHLY recommend him as a professor. I wish he taught Pre-Calc & Calc!

The dude is hilarious and knows his stuff. Take this class with him. Take your online quizzes on time and study for tests and you will get an A.

The best math teacher ever! he is extremely helpful got an a easly. dont buy the textbook its optional but you will not need it at all so dont waste the money. he has a sign in sheet everyday and he gives re takes he is awesome!!

Markegard's College Algebra class was SUPER EASY! Everything thing was done in Mymathlab and he let's you do the homework till it's 100% The quizzes/tests/exams are also online and are based on Mymathlab assignments and reviews that there is no way you can't get an A. As long as you do the homework, it's all good! He is a great professor!! =]

Nicest guy you will ever meet. I hate math but he is my favorite professor ever! Everything is on the computer. He lets you retake almost every test, homework is unlimted tries so you should get 100% If you need help go to him! Hes so nice and willing to help! best professor ever!

BEST TEACHER EVER! I am terrible at math and he helped me out side of class whenever I needed it. He was so helpful! I needed a C for my major and I was two points away so I asked him if there was anything I could do to get a C so he looked over my test to find two extra points to give me and I got a C! I strongly recommend him!

Best Guy you will meet! He is a wonderful person and will help you with anything you need! His class was easy because everything he does is understandable. Did not get confused or lost at all in his class. If you have an opportunity take him!

The best, I love him as a proffesor, I used to hatemath, but Im actually enjoying it and learning, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about him. He really cares about all his students, very difficult to find in a proffesor with his experience!

I really enjoyed this class. It is basic algebra, and you go at your own pace because it is all online. The only downside is that you have to have hours to complete in MAC lab. For the final you get 2 notecards front and back. Recommend this for an easy A if you are good at algebra!

The class was all online, which was really not fun. Doing the hours and keeping up is very difficult in terms of going to west campus and trying to fit in the extra time. He is a great teacher though, he wanders the room and jumps at the chance to help you and will reexplain something you don't understand until he's blue in the face.

While he is a great guy and extremely helpful, I found it very hard to get an A in the course. If you want an A, complete 100% of the mandatory 85% and study, study, study. The ONLY thing graded in this class is a comprehensive final. You get an extra 2% from extra attendance points. I found it easy to get a B, hard to get an A.

Good, a little boring. You can miss class if you like but it might affect your AP points, Going to west campus is stressful for me. I thought myself most of the things on ALEKS. and try and get like 88% on your final to get an A. Trust me i didn't bother finishing the whole pie.

great guy and very understanding but the class is just awful, your only grade is the final which can be on the topic of 250 different things which is ridiculous, and you have to take out 2 hours a week to go to a math center to work on math

Stay up to date on topics and you'll do fine. You can take the final as many times as you want so try and take it early, you have a better chance at getting a better grade.

I had a hard time with this class, but he never gave up on me. To many prof. you're just a number but not to this prof. We cried, jump and laugh when he announce I passed the class. Then he sent me an email later that day saying how proud he was of my hard work. Gotta love a professor with such a kind heart and helpfulness!

He is a really nice guy and is willing to help you out at anytime. The thing I found difficult with the class was the online work we had to do. This class is based online but you still have to go to class. I did poorly in here because I need to be taught by the instructor and not just by myself.

The professor is extremely nice and helpful. He never gives up on anyone so make sure you ask for help. Attendence isn't mandatory on the day but if you miss a day you have to make it up in the lab if you want your points. and you only have to do 100 minutes a week in the lab which you can get done if you go in early to your class.

He is a great person and a great teacher. If you ever need help, he will explain it as many times/different ways until you understand. Although the class was on West campus, it was worth going over their for class. By far one of my favorite teachers!

Michael is great. He's super nice and is willing to help anyone. The only thing I DON'T like, is the way he grades. He takes your attendance/MAC lab points, multiplies that with your final and that's your final grade. So even if you have 105% before the final, you have to get at least 86% on the test to get an A in the class. Kind of dumb.

he is a nice guy, but the only thing that gets graded basically is the final. so if you do bad on that, then you will get a bad grade. even if you have over 100% before the final. not cool

He treats it like an online class almost because everything you do is on a website. He is super nice and helpful but the course itself is difficult because you have to perfect so many topics. The final exam is so difficult and your final grade is only dependent on your attendance percentage and your final exam grade.

Professor Markegard is a very helpful guy, but the class is very difficult for a one hundred level course. Basically your grade is based upon how well you do on the final (which is hard). If you have the option to take a different professor I would based simply on how the class is setup.

He is the nicest person I've have met in my life. I finished the class right after Spring Break. The class is average when it comes to difficulty, but if you keep up with the ALEKS pie, you will be done before you know it. Highly suggest this class.

He's a really nice guy. We were trying a new program (I think it's new for the school) called ALEKS which was online and let us go at our own pace, but were still expected to go to class and an hour in the MAC lab a week. This was so you could get help if you needed it. An easy class, and the lab was a good way to build up extra credit points.

Markegard is a very sweet and helpful professor. He really takes the time to work with you. The entire class is based online (even though it's not a online class). It's nice because you can finish at your own pace. You can even take the final early (and take the final as many times as need be) and get out of the class before the semester ends.

This class is a hybrid with being half online and half in class. Attendance is a huge part of class but if you skip you can make it up in the lab by doing the online portion. He is one of the nicest proffesors i have ever had and is always willing to help. Make sure you keep up with the math topics or you will probably fail. Still an easy class

Markegard is one of my favorite professors. He seems like he genuinely cares about each individual student and is very good at explaining things so you understand. If you have the opportunity, take one of his classes.

Professor Markegard was by far one of my favorite professors! This course is done through an online program called Aleks and that is where you do all of your homework and tests. He is willing to help all of his students and does not stop trying until he makes sure you understand the criteria! He also gives the option of finishing the class early!

ALEKS was what his class is based on and its really hard to learn from cause you don't have a person teaching you everything but whenever you don't understand something he has really flexible office hours and his door is always always open if you need help with anything.

Uses Aleks for assignments

The work that you do for the class is all online, but he takes attendance to be in class and is a very helpful and friendly professor. He explains the topics very clearly, and is always willing to help. DO NOT get behind on ALEKS. You can take the final early after you have done most of the topics so I suggest to prioritize asap.

Math 050 is all online. He takes attendance but, the attendance points are only used as extra credit on the final. We were able to take the final after 80% of Aleks was complete. I believe we were also able to take it more than once if we did not do well on the final. Overall, a really great professor. He wants you to succeed. Could switch to 115.

Dr. Markegard was the best math teacher I've ever had. He always asks you if you need help on anything, and you should definitely take advantage of this because he is very clear at explaining things. Awesome teacher who truly shows that he cares about his students.

Professor Markegard is awesome. He is super helpful and is there to make sure you understand the material and get a good grade. He lets you use notes for every test and opens homework back up sometimes if you didn't finish it. He uses MyMathLab online for all homework. I would choose him over anyone else for Finite Mathematics.

Dr. Markegard was a great professor for Math 110! He is a very nice guy, so give him the respect he deserves. We had homework online after every class, but it wasn't overwhelming. The tests were really easy, especially since he lets you use notes. I'd say he's probably the #1 professor for Math 110, so take his class if you have the chance.
