I do not like GOVT or HIST but Dr. McConachie made this class interesting. He is very picky about the his writing assignments as far as grammar, punctuation, using citations, etc. As long as you attend class regularly and stay on top of your work, you will do well.

mr. mchonahie is freakin awsome. i went to class 90% of the time and i have never seen him in a bad mood. his lectures are fun, and if you do not take him you are stupid.

since im a govt major, i have a predisposition to loving this class, but i absolutely loved dr mcconachie...i would advise anyone to take his classes, i took him for both 2301 and 2302 and he was great!

He was the best professor i have ever had. He is very helpful and he will always make you laugh. He is always prepared and his lectures are very fun and interesting.

i took him for his online class and his grading was based on a point system. as long as you do your work and turn it in on time, you will do fine! not an easy A, but if you work for it you will get it!! essay and test every week in online course. loved the class. learned a lot! :)

This is easily one of the top 2 professors on campus. McConachie is excellent! His class is moderately easy, but he makes it fun and enjoyable. I would get to school in the morning looking forward to talking to him and learning from him. Excellent and very funny professor!

Prof M's class was HARD. I took it online and his grading was difficult. There were 8 papers and 12 tests in 11 weeks of summerIII. College level writing is required no exceptions!!!! I got an A but it took a lot of hard work. You have to read the book and know the material or you will NOT PASS.

Prof McConahie is an awesome instructor. Knows his subject very well and as long as you take good notes and pay attention in class you will do fine. Tests arent that hard if you study but he does grade hard on your papers you write.

What a wonderful professor! I took his class 3 years ago and still think of it fondly. Lots of fun, makes you think. Stringent when grading your papers, but it's college, he's supposed to be right?

Dr. McConachie has an interesting sense of humor. Go to class and do all extra credit you can, he offers alot! Study his study guides and you will make an A in the class

Uses powerpoints and everything on the test is on the powerpoint. Did not do well but it was my own fault.

Great instructor. There were usually only 2 or 3 people that failed each test. Gives great reviews. NO TEXTBOOK! He's got a great sense of humor and he's interesting. Take him if you can!!

Great teacher, pretty engaging, (Though I wish he'd kicked out people w/cellphones, and those whom go in and out of the classroom)great sense of humor, he wants you to do well in his class, I was nervous about taking this class during the summer,but he made extremely interesting, plus no textbook, so what more could you ask for. Best one by far to take. Not afraid to tell how he feels about issues but makes it obvious that they are HIS opinions and definitely do not need to be yours. Don't worry if you've got him at 8 a.m....it was more bearable than my 10 a.m. class by far

dr. mcconachie is so much fun! i have him at 10 in the morning and he is great. he'll make you laugh, i promise. it's only been about a month, but there's alot of note taking. and we had a pop quiz =/but still it's an awesome class.

I had Dr. McConachie last year. He is a great professor. I realized how much I had learned when I took GOVT2302 in the summer. I kept remembering things he said. He's great. Do your work and show up to class. No problem - just don't be late!

Professor McConachie is a wonderful professor! Had the new Hybird course and loved it! He is definately one of my favorite professors! Show up on time for every class, do all homework and study and you will do great in his class!

Hes a really good teacher!

He is a tough teacher, because he knows what he is talking about. He is also funny, and helpful. I loved this class, I really learned so much, and I appreciate what all he taught me about politics, because it is VERY important to be educated in that area. Be aware...show up to class, participate in class discussions, and don't be late!

Dr. McConechie makes the class easy to learn. I found myself excited about going to class simply because I knew I was going to LEARN! He has a great gift! If you have the chance to take any of his classes I highly reccommend it!

I took this over the summer and although this was a very accelerated class I enjoyed every minute of it. All of the readin was online which I did before every class and it helped me a lot. He loves his job and loves this subject, I came out learning so much and enjoying government which I usually do not. My good grade did come with work.

Took him for both 2301 and 2302, and he made learning govt very fun. He keeps class interesting, but you will have to work for an A. He is very fair, and he makes students more aware of what is going on in the world. I highly recommend him for any class he teaches.

If you're not an auditory learner, this is a hard class. The textbook is used as a supplement to lectures rather than the source of all the test questions. But if you come to class and take good notes, there's no reason why you wouldn't do great in this class! He's a very interesting teacher, and he puts his powerpoints up online after lectures.

He's great. you'll love him! he's very fun, clear, and just an over all good teacher. You'll really like this class! Trust us!

Easiest class you will ever take. Period.

I took his online class during the summer and enjoyed it. Lots of reading and at least one paper a week which isn't bad. The discussion questions and posts were interesting too.

I took his govt 2302 class online during summer and really enjoyed it. The class is layed out well and organized. There were a lot of papers and reading, but I actually learned something from the papers I wrote. The discussion questions were relevant to today's issues as well. I would definitely reccommend his online class.

I guess my opinion is kinda biased considering I'm majoring in the subject but lets just say that I've never learned as much material from some one else other than Dr. McConachie. I'd recommend him if you're somewhat interested in politics at all, otherwise I'd avoid his class if you don't like politics. That is all you'll talk about.

Teacher is very knowledgeable. Helps you with anything you need. Test are easy but you have to study with the review he gives you. There are some quizzes and alot of opportunities for you to get extra points. Not many essays. The test answers are from the book and the powerpoints. Will def. take him again.

Fantastic teacher. Even if this is not what you are into, you will learn and enjoy it! I will be taking govt 2302 with this professor.

His class definitely made me more interested in govt than any class I'd taken before his. I wouldn't say you NEED to be there for his class but if you are there then you won't need the book. I only used the book when I hadn't taken notes to study for the exam. He is a nice guy and as long as you do a half-decent job you'll at least get a B.

Dr.McConachie is a on the difficult side, but I hated gvt until I took his 2301 and chose to take his 2302. His style of teaching and personality lend themselves well to students who don't necc care for gvt and certainly for those that do. He is always avail for help before and after class, and is easy to work with.

I took him online for 2302 and thought he was pretty easy. Do the work and read the chapters for quizzes and you should be fine. The labs do require you to write but he grades fairly. I recommend him, at least for an online class.

Awsome professor!!! He is very helpful & encouraging! If you are the least bit intimidated about taking a govt. class this is the class for you, or even if you're not, highly recommend taking his class!

He actually made government fun & interesting! I highly recommend Dr. McConachie for both government 2301 AND 2302. All you need to do is simply read the assigned chapters and pay attention in class, and you'll make an "A"!

Dr.Mcconachie is very passionate about what he teaches. Although i dont like anything he taught he still managed to make the class fun. Outside work is involved to pass the class, weekly online quizez, essays, reading. However, everything is doable.

McConachie knows what he is talking about and is always up to date with his research. You do not use the text book in class, but you have to have it for the test. His test are kind of hard, but he gives enough extra credit to pull out a A. He is willing to help you with anything you need and is very prompt about getting back to you on emails.

Overall a good professor. I took his GOVT 2302 online class in the summer. While it was a lot of work: tests and papers every week and discussion questions to answer (keep in mind it is only a 4 week class); but if you do the work and put in the effort it's worth it and easy to get an A. He's very helpful, reasonable, and responsive.

Dr. McConachie really knows what he is talking about. Unfortunately, he is a little hard and doesn't take crap. If you fail his test, he gets mad because he tries to make them easy (he thinks). I really like his class, however, and will take him for 2302. He is a good teacher and loves his subject. If you want an easy A, though, go somewhere else.

He was my first professor ever at college and was fantastic! He genuinely wants the entire class to succeed and will help you any way he can. I took his summer class, which I thought was less rigorous and I learned more from than the classes I am currently taking in a regular semester. I highly recommend him.

Amazing Professor! Despite having a completely different opinion than mine, he always acknowledged my ideas and pushed me to back them up. Never used them against me in class or in grading. Didn't have a textbook. Read three books (short paper on each), 2 tests & worked on a research paper/presentation throughout the semester. Highly recommend!!

he is an awesome professor! one of the best ones i have ever had and thats between a university and a community college. took a summer class and even though it was a lot of materal in 5 weeks, it was still easy. 3 exams, movie journal and some reaction papers....uses a variety of videos and movies..he is very passionate and loud.loved him!

Dr. McConachie is an amazing professor. He used different kinds of methods and strategies in teaching his lessons in class: movies, video clips, power points, group discussions, interactive lecture that students will really absorb what he was saying. He's a funny guy, you will not see him frowning in class. Thank you, sir for being part of my life!

Great class...funny guy and very interesting class. I wish I could take it again just because it was so enjoyable. Be prepared to work in groups, which usually mean one person pulls everyone elses weight. tests are easy, and an A can be had by almost anyone who tries.

Prof McConachie pronounced (Mc Cona hay) is a GREAT professor. I had him for Summer I and LOVED his class. He keeps the discussions and lecture lively and relevant. Unfortunately he was promoted to Dean at Preston Ridge but hope to be teach again after he settles into his new responsibility. SO if you can I recommend waiting to take him. He rocks!

Took him for Fall '12. He's probably the best because he's dean of the department, but don't let that scare you! He understands life gets in the way and will give you opportunities to make up grades by giving out assignments that will be optional to those who are satisfied with their grade. Great sense of humor. Non-biased. Highly recommended.

Dr. McConachie presented GOVT 2302 in an interesting relevant way. I honestly had little interest in Government(State or Federal level)when I entered class. Dr. M made it interesting and enjoyable, I actually looked forward to reading my text book! Power Points,Study Guides provided -everything to make you successful- just add effort!

Dr. McConachie was a remarkable professor. He was well prepared, gave interesting and fun lectures, and had fantastic study materials for you to take advantage of. He gave extra credit frequently. If you completed the study guides and showed up to class and participated he would go above and beyond to see that you did well.

I loved this class so much I took him again the following semester for the next govt. required course. Both classes online. Great guy, Great professor. Very accessible to students for any questions and concerns. Really enjoyed the class.

I took him for both fed and tex. He is an awesome teacher and interesting to listen to. i learned a lot from him. Its easy to get an A if you do your work and go to class.

He is an awesome professor. I took an online class and he put all the assignments out ahead of time with deadlines. He gave multiple attempts of exams which your highest grade counted. The exams were not easy by any means, but it gave you a second and third chance to make a better grade. He also gave extra credit work as well.

Tests worth 400 points. You take them up to 3 times. If you don't know the answer always go with A. You should get +70. Also, 2 discussions forms worth 100 points. 2 optional extra credit forms each worth 10 points.

Best class EVER! I LOVED Dr. McConachie. Always helpful and understanding. This is still a class you need to work in but it was worth the work. Study and you will get an A. Take this class!!! He is awesome!

I was nervous about this class starting out, but it got a lot better once we progressed more into the semester. Take good notes and read the book, then you'll be fine. Got an A. He's willing to help. Go visit him during office hours when you need help, he likes that.

I took this professor for TX Gov and liked the class so much that I took him again for Fed Gov. He takes an unbiased position and his lectures are always interesting. Gives some extra credit opportunities. He is by no means a hard grader but his multiple choice tests require some work. Also, I never bought the book, got an A. Just take good notes

Very nice, funny, and enthusiastic. Assignments and tests are minimal and fairly easy. Lectures are extremely interesting. Instead of buying the textbook just use his PPT's and the publisher's website to study.

Professor McConachie is an excellent professor. He is truly passionate about his field, and is extremely knowledgeable. He adds comedy to his lectures and is very clear about what he needs from you. There are reading quizzes, but they're pretty easy. I would take him again.

Dr. McConachie is very interesting. Even though he lectures a lot, he does it in a way thats more engaging than other teachers. I would definitely take him again. 6 quizzes (lowest gets dropped), 35 points of extra credit, 3 tests (including final) and 1 paper. Everyone should take him!

Dr. McConachie is an extremely funny and well knowledgeable professor. Never once have I gotten bored, instead he keeps your mind on the lessons with his side comments and examples. His class is a must take if you ever need to do your Government credit.

EASY A so much extra credit super funny too. Sit in the front you'll become best friends tell him Kat sent ya :) attendance counts (one free skip day) a few easy online quizzes, 2-3 short papers, 3-4 test give review list before test but best part lets you use linus blanket (CHEAT SHEET) all around perfect professor GIVE HIM A RAISE!!!

Great teacher. Easy A. But it's mandatory and lose five points each time you skip, so I would advise not taking it at 8AM.

Each week 1 chpt to read & quiz w2 attempts. Overall 4 db assignments, short essay format ( app 400words), about current events. Final is cumulative, so make noteshighlight when reading chpts., also 2 attempts. Read your chapters and you'll do fine. It is not a difficult class. He gives extra credit which I did not do bc I did not need too.

Enjoyed the class, great communicator, weekly updates to the class .. Keeps class informed of any revisions. Rewards attendance. Likes punctuality and class being on time and respectful. Extra credit opportunities throughout semester. Would take again.. Thank You for being a great professor.

I just finished an online government class and LOVED it! I love the way McConachie sent emails and called us "Online Scholars"! He clearly laid out what to expect in terms of chapter quizzes and due dates and discussion posts. He clearly is one of the BEST online professors that I have ever had and I am sad that this semester is over!

Fantastic professor who's passionate about what he teaches. Took for both government credits and enjoyed equally each time around. Make sure to go to class, as attendance counts and you won't want to miss the elaboration he gives during lectures over his power points! (he does lecture from PPT, but greatly elaborates.)

With 2 chances to take each quiz and exam this class is easy to take. Please don't confuse easy to take with easy to pass. You have to do the work. He was always available for help. You DO NEED the book. Don't pass it up. Beginning and end of class extra credit classes available.

Hands down, the best professor I've ever had. I didn't expect to like learning about American government so much until I took this professor's class. He makes the subject very interesting, and you won't ever get bored with his lectures. The online quizzes were a bit difficult, but on the bright side, his exams were really easy.

As my dual credit professor, he made me look forward to college. I was 20 mins late on exam day and he let me take it, without plea. Granted it was technically still high school but he remembered I was always early to class and hardly skipped. Never read, only reviewed chapter summaries he sent us (not sure he'd do the summaries for non-dual cred)

Dr. McConachie was the best professor I've had at Collin. His instructions and teaching are very clear and he is very passionate about political science. He also answers any questions you have very thoroughly and promptly. Just remember to put in all the work/studying you need to and you'll make an A.

He has to be the best professor I've ever had! He knows his stuff and doesn't rely on the powerpoints but does pull them up so that it's easier to take notes. He's extremely clear about what to expect on tests and projects. His lectures aren't boring and it's easy to follow along as long as you take lots of notes!

Were the lectures long? Yes, but he kept things very interactive and tried to break up the monotony with current event discussions and videos. Papers were easy and the group project was easy as long as you follow his instructions to a tee (not rocket science). Fair and Fun! All in all he has been one of my favorite professors at Collin.

Easy online class! This professor is super friendly, but takes a little long to post grades. Clear grading criteria. Assigns an easy 500 word essay & gives extra credit if you turn in early.

Dr. McConachie is the best. He is very organized, specifically with his layout on blackboard, all his power points are easy to access. Lectures are GREAT, you learn the most from professors that give good lectures. Yeah, absolutely nothing bad to say about the man. He makes you realize that political science would be a fun major to study.

He is awesome. He was extremely organized. Clear expectations from the beginning and pretty much sticks to the syllabus. There's one big paper, and weekly quizzes that are on Blackboard that cover mostly the lecture material from the week. There are extra credit opportunities throughout the semester.

Great professor! I took it during the Fall in an LDI course, and I thought it was a lot of fun! There were weekly quizzes, but they were easy and straight out of the textbook. His lectures were great and very informative about the federal government. He also challenges students to think and to become leaders. You definitely need the book to pass.

Professor Mconachie is very enthusiastic in his lectures. I took his class on Maymester and I enjoyed it. He is very organized which helped me a lot. He gives extra credits and study guides before the test. He also grades fast. He is very knowledgeable and updated with current events.

I enjoyed this instructor immensely. He responds to your emails in a timely fashion. He told me that it was ok.

I'm taking him this summer semester and he is *wonderful*. He's funny, provides plenty of extra credit and if you do the study guide, you've got the test in the bag. Being on time is expected, book is not required, but it is helpful. His lectures are detailed, very helpful and informational. Definitely recommend him. Respectful to both parties.

Great Professor he helps in any way to make sure you pass his class. Only one exam in the class which was final. Gives online quizzes every week. 1 group project towards the end of the semester. If you show up to class and pay attention it's an easy A!

One of my favorite professors. He really enjoys the subject which makes listening to his lectures fun. He also cracks a lot of jokes in there to make them more interesting to listen to. He have 4 tests and one paper with optional extra credit quizzes every week or so. I was also 2 points shy of an A and he gave them to me! Excellent class!

I took this class online. Weekly modules are easy but important. TESTS ARE DIFFICULT, but doable. Complete the modules, complete the discussion posts and responses, and try your best on the exams and you will get an A. Would definitely take this professor again. Beware of procrastination as in every online class.

GOVT 2306-Honors Dr. McConachie is excellent at what he does. He truly cares about teaching his students. His lectures are phenomenal and he expects no more from his students than he is willing to give; which commands great respect. He grades quickly and also provides amazing feedback. I'll miss being in his class. Truly a gem.

Professor McConachie is an amazing person. He will change your perspective on politics and government. Michael is an outstanding person as well, he is personable and extremely understanding. Dr. McConachie is an expert in government and political science.

Hands down THE best professor I have had at Collin. If you are taking government TAKE HIM. I took him for maymester and I hate waking up in the morning, but he definitely kept me awake for the 8am 4 hour course. Super funny!

I took Michael P. McConachie online for a maymester at Eastfield College and it consisted of 3 exams, and 4 DF . SUPER EASY! Everything is layed out for you in the beginning and very well organized. SUPER EASY! 100% recommend!!

lectures are so good, make u actually pay attention and u can learn a lot. made me like govt for once. tests are exactly like reviews. some extra credit. take him u wont regret!!!

THE BEST POLITICAL SCIENCE PROFESSOR AROUND. i swear by McConachie, he has been such an influencing factor in my life. He knows the material and cares about it, do the work and you will pass.

He's a really good professor. The class is mostly lectures, but it usually ends up being very interesting. He also tells a lot of good, if somewhat cheesy, jokes!

He's a good professor. Grades are 3 tests, 1 essay 5 page long, and class activities like quizzes. Makes corny/funny jokes. He doesn't like people showing up late. It's a chill class and pretty easy to make an A. If you fail his class you're probably dumb af. Not sure if attendance was mandatory he would make you sign in but idk if it affects grade

Funny guy. He uploads the class PowerPoints and provides study guides, so it's really hard to do poorly in his class if you just put in some effort. His lectures are easy to understand, and you'll only have 3 tests throughout the course.

Seriously awesome professor! Hella excited for class every day and always has punny jokes to slide in during lect. Everything is straight forward, online quizzes are a breeze if you read, q's are right out of the book. Not sure how the attendance counts, you sign in but not sure if it affects your grade. Would soOoOo recommend taking!

He is an amazing teacher who is very passionate about his teaching. His class is easy if you actually study. We only had three tests and no cumulative. We presented once and had a paper. I took his Texas government class and it was a leadership course. There is extra credit available. Don't take his class if you don't want to do anything.

Excellent professor. TX Gov was very straightforward with everything clearly outlined. The class is lecture heavy, so be prepared to stay awake and take good notes. Grades consist of weekly online quizzes, one midterm essay, and 3 non-cumulative exams (questions come straight out of the book and quizzes). Take advantage of all extra credit!

Awesome government professor!!! I'm not a fan of government, but he made the lecture understandable. If you do your homework and study the test you will pass the class. He make the class fun!!

If you need to take Government TAKE HIM! Dr. McConchie is so caring and really does care about his students! He gives out study guides to help you! He is in all a fantastic teacher he is able to use real world examples and help connect them to his lectures while also making some pretty funny jokes. Do not arrive late to his class he hates that.

I took this as an evening, once a week, honors class but it was my favorite class of the week. The class is definitely an easy A if you pay attention in class. I didn't take any notes and the weekly online quizzes were very easy. The midterm and final were essay format and easy! The research paper was the only hard part but ultimately, doable!

Great professor! Normally in a government class or history class, I found myself zoning out or not paying attention, but his lectures grasped my attention and I found the way he taught made the subject matter interesting. Study guides made the tests a breeze. Easy A if you just put a tiny bit of effort in.

Very good professor. I was bored when I found out I had to take federal government, but he made it pretty enjoyable. He gives periodic quizzes instead of huge tests, which I prefer. Lectures are interesting. Pretty easy to get an A if you do what he says and show up to class.

Best professor I've had at Collin College! He's organized and works to make class smooth+interesting. He sends us weekly updates that prep and encourage us for the following week. He really cares about his students. Cracks nerdy jokes but he's so lovable that it makes you laugh. Pay attention, do the work, you'll be fine. It shouldn't be hard.

He was not a hard grader, but he still did not curve anything. If you go to class, do the reviews, and participate in discussions, he will be more lenient when it comes to deadlines. I had my wisdom teeth removed during the semester so i let him know ahead of time i would not be in class. He extended my deadlines. Just a wholesome person.

Dr. McConachie makes government interesting. I enjoyed his lectures and he was actually pretty funny. The book is a necessity as there are regular chapter quizzes. He let my class bring a "cheat sheet" on testing days that we had to turn in with our tests, and he provides study guides. He provides countless extra credit opportunities as well.

Absolutely loved McConachie. I had him for both Federal and Texas Gov and he was great both times. He clearly outlines what you need to know, prepares you well, and makes the lectures interesting. He respects his students and does a fantastic job of trying to get students involved in the lecture. If I could take him again I would.

No words for him. Great professor in East Field college for government classes. I took him for my both federal government and Texas government classes. I strongly recommend him for both government classes. 5 STARS for him.

McConachie is an excellent prof. Clearly loves teaching, gives interesting humorous lectures, and enjoys his student's participation. Also he teaches the concepts of government fairly, without personal bias. Decent Extra Credit. Attendance not graded but still necessary. I would take one of his classes again without hesitation.

I took the online Wintermester course. There were 4 exams, 4 discussions, and 1 orientation quiz over the syllabus. The exams were 50 ques each within an hour time limit, but they were open book. Two discussions were easy and two discussions you had to read and write a thoughtful post and response. Overall, the class was not too hard if you tried.

Very sweet man and will crack a lot of jokes. Dont need textbook but requires access code. Readings and quizzes every week online. Take notes during lectures bc theres quizzes in class on them. May be tough to write it all so pull up the PowerPoint on another device and follow along. Offers bonus opportunities so take advantage.

this is the only professor you should take for federal and texas govt. I took his class for both classes! he is great and has amazing lectures! he cares deeply about his students and takes time to learn their names and create a real connection with everyone! he is really funny too!!

Super funny and personable! Very awesome when you need help. Rubrics and syllabus are both very cut and dry! Took him for both courses and made A's. Highly recommended. He's a hoot, too!

I took him for federal government online this semester as an express course and I really enjoyed it! Best government professor I have had! Totally recommend him. His grading criteria was clear, modules were organized, overall his work was very easy to understand and do. TAKE HIM

He is great! I took him for 2305 & 2306! The best professor at Collin yet! I love that he offers extra credit and drops your lowest exam. I love his lectures and is really funny!! He truly cares about his students and gets the time to know everyone!! 10/10 recommend!!

Great professor. Printing out the powerpoints and taking notes on them was really successful for me. Test questions come directly from the review, which comes directly from the powerpoints. He is constantly cracking jokes. He does spit a bit though, and I felt bad for the people in the front row.

I took him for Maymester and he was awesome. M-F for 4 hours for 11 days seems a lot but with Dr. McConachie the times go by real quick and worth it. Let's just say that if you actually do the study guide and review it, you will get a good grade on the test . 3 tests, 5-6 in class assignments/quizzes, 1.5 papers (second paper is super easy)!

took him for maymester. allowed us to use a 3"x5" notecard on the exam. not super easy, but it was alright. if you pay attention in class, you'll do well on the exams.

Professor McConachie is a great Government teacher. All of his lectures/slides are on Canvas so it is easily accessible. He provides study guides for the tests and all the tests are noncumulative. His lectures are very entertaining. As long as you do the work properly and study, you can easily get a good grade.

First off this professor is so funny make it point to attend class you will not regret it.

Great professor overall. Would take him again. Participation does matter, while he may not take attendance it effects your overall grade at the end of the semester, he doesn't give A's nor extra credit. Beware if you sit in the front row, he spits. 8/10 recommend.

Professor McConachie was my very first college professor an he was very enjoyable to have. He shares many fun personal anecdotes during lecture and is a very fair and easy grader. As long as you are engaged and do your work you will be fine. PS: I took the course over the summer so textbook may be required for the full semester

Professor McConachie is nice and tells a lot of dad jokes. For Texas Government, the class consisted of four exams and 14 online quizzes. Beware of many mistakes on the quizzes b/c he tends to screw up the answer key! The textbook helps greatly on the online quizzes, so definitely buy it! Overall, the class is a lot of information, but easy.

Dr. McConachie made government and politics fun and interesting, which is no small feat. I took Federal Government over WIntermester and it was amazing. He managed to make a 4 hour long class entertaining and informative at the same time. If you take good notes and pay attention, you'll pass no problem!

I was honestly dreading this class, as it was needed for my degree. I took this class over the summer and was expecting it to be an overload of homework & tests, but it wasnt bad. I was able to get things done ahead of time and wasnt overwhelmed. Anytime I needed anything, this professor was helpful and nice. He has to be the best prof Ive had!

I was dreading taking a government credit, especially online. TAKE HIS ONLINE CLASS. You can finish the weeks worth of work in a few hours. Theres 3 discussion boards, 3 exams (that are open note) and one quiz over your notes per week. The easiest class I have ever taken.

He is amazing!! I learnt a lot from this course and the way he conducts it makes everything interesting.

Dr. McConachie is a great professor, and his class is very easygoing. He genuinely wants you to pass, and his lectures are informative without being too lecture heavy. Textbook is required because Inquizitive assignments are due weekly along with class activities. There are 4 tests and one major paper tests are openbook and paper is fairly easy.

I absolutely loved taking Federal Government with Prof. McConachie! I really don't like government but he made this class so interesting and fun. He's so sweet and I always enjoyed being in class with him. He communicates clearly and is always willing to help. I would absolutely recommend him! (He also gives a decent amount of easy extra credit) :)

No fuss, strait up course. Super sweet guy, very caring and easy to reach. Do the reading and inquiz once a week, not hard. Has four major tests and optional comp final. Would take him again for sure.

Very fun lectures! I normally do not like government or history classes but it was super fun! His class is test-heavy, and if you don't attend a class you will not understand several problems on the test. The tests are typically based on what he says not the PowerPoint. Clear grading criteria and offers lots of extra credit throughout the semes

I have a different political view than most college students and professors, and he was totally willing to listen to what I had to say and have a discussion as long as I knew my facts and where I got it! Lots of healthy debates and a very open-minded funny professor. I was sad I couldn't take him for Texas Government! 10 out of 10!

Im in the middle of a 3 week class now. I was a little timid at first for such a short class, but Dr McConachie is very nice and informative. The online set up is great and easy to navigate. Update announcements daily. Straight forward lectures that are short and sweet. There are 18 InQuizitives, 5 Assignments, and 3 Exams. Take this class!!

TAKE THIS CLASS. I took his three week class and finished it within a week. He posts all of his assignments for you to do at your own pace. I have a 7 month old baby and work from home and still was able to finish early. I bought the textbook but didn't really need it. Do the work and there is no way you will fail. Very easy and straight-forward.

I love this professor, he is super nice and willing to work with students. He does pop quizzes but informs you that he is during it before he does it in a previous class. He is always available and responds to emails quickly. Book is free online. and he gives study guilds before test.

Professor McConachie is amazing!! He's very funny and his lectures keep you awake! He gives tons of extra credit opportunities and really cares for his students. Absolutely take his class if you can !

Good Professor. Make sure to do any extra credit that is offered because it can boost your grade more than you might think. Try not to miss class because most lectures help with your exams and quizzes. You are provided solid reviews for the exams. There are pop quizzes but he will tell you which week it will be or the exact day.

Professor McC is great - super engaging and makes the material fun. Definitely do any extra credit offered, and leverage Unstuck study along with the textbook to crush the quizzes. Attend class, and you'll likely get an easy A.

Professor McConachie is great! He makes the material fun and engaging and as long as you show up and pay attention you should do great. He gave a few pop quizzes throughout the semester to make sure people actually showed up but other than that he's awesome. He gives homework and a few exams but no midterm or final.

Fun professor! Strict on paying attention (no ear buds etc.) and attendence, but overall pretty simple workload. McConachie is definitely a democrat lol so expect some biased takes, documentaries, etc. on political issues. As a conservative, I found him to be fun and enjoyable even when I disagreed with his takes on certain issues in US politics.
