Really nice guy, tries to help everyone. Papers can seem a little overwhelming, but meet with him, give it your best shot, and you'll get a good grade. If you like to watch TV and movies, take 332 because just about all you do in class is watch clips.

From what I understand, his class is harder now than it was last year. Tests are very easy as long as you take advantage of the provided study guide. Study guide follows the PowerPoint presentations verbatim.

Moeder probably the best proffessor in the CMAT department at Salisbury Unv. If you get the option its recomended you take him over all other choses here. Real fair, not to hard, overall good professor

the class is easy if you aren't absent and take notes. he shows lots of movies. the tests are straightforward and easy to do well on if you study. show up to class, do your articles, and takes notes and you will have no trouble in this class.

class is veery boring. 7 or 8 quizzes - easy a's, 3 tests and 15 twenty minute article exercises for homework. study lecture notes and you will do fine for exams. class is easy A but he is monotone, boring, but nice.

Very direct. If you listen to him in class, you'll be well off. Articles are easy and tests are on everythign we went over. He knows what he's talking about. I def recommend him for this course

This guy is seriously the sweetest teacher. He's extremely helpful and tries his hardest to help his students do well in his class. Definetly take this guy, hes a great teacher.

Very good professor. The class is semi-interesting but he makes it as interesting as possible. He is very nice and willing to both work with you and help you if needed. The test's are outlined by chapter and the articles are very easy. Just study and you will do will! Definitely recommend him!

Nice guy, monotone voice. STUDY for the tests otherwise you'll fail. He gives SO MANY NOTES and it can be extensive but you need to copy them in order to do well. Study hard and you'll do fine. The topics are interesting that he covers and he shows interesting video clips.

Yes, isn't very animated, but he knows what he is talking about. He's very interested in what he teaches, and is willing to help.

He is awesome. He is a bit boring but works with you personally, and is very fun loving and is very willing to change deadlines/assignments. He is possibly the best teacher at SU.

CMAT 110 was very hard (I took it twice)and I didn't think I liked him. Then I took a couple more of his classes and he was soooo awesome. He is very interested in the subject matter and knows his stuff. Very willing to help and open to suggestions. In media criticism you'll watch a lot of T.V.

He is a very good teacher. The last day of class he will take time and give you a review day. He also posts your grades online within basically, 24 hrs. He is a great professor and is always willing to help. He will take the full class period to teach you what you need to succeed.

Yeah Moeder! Nice guy, very concerned about his students. Willing to help if you need it. Straight-forward tests, doesn't expect anything crazy, just your respect and attention. You get to watch movies and videos too! Doesn't give more work than neccessary to learn, which is a BIG plus!

Totally cool guy... this class was so easy and there were no exams! We watched so much TV- this class was great. He understands college kids and is pretty lax about assignment deadlines if you pay attention in his class. My only complaint is that he's a little long-winded and can be dull at times. Talk to him about classic rock.

what can i say? bottom line...best CMAT teacher in the department and probably one of the best teachers at salisbury. def take him...you will be missing out if u dont!

If you like watching movies every class, hes your man. Hes a laid back guy, a couple of webct quizzes every once in a while, and the occasional test. other than that, just take notes, read the book, and enjoy the movies in class

MOEDER IS AMAZING!!! so easy i sleep in class ALL the time time and i still do well in his class... just remember to do your online quizzes and you'll be fine...tests are straight from his notes. i would marry moeder if i got the chance...definately take his class...he has some good jokes once in a while...and hes hot so thats a plus

awesome teacher, but more importantly, a nice guy. if ur doing poor in his class, GO SEE HIM. he'll help you out more than just about any other teacher as long as u show initiative. his class can be boring, but he knows it so he tries to liven it up. definitly worth taking

all i have to say is he is the man. if you screw up on a quiz and forget to take it online he will let you retake the quiz in his office and you can use your books and notes. he really does not care, there really is no reason why neone shouldnt get 100 on the quizes or articles. if you get anything below a C you are an idiot.

He's such a sweet guy. He bends over backwards for his students just to make sure that everyone who asks for help understands. He uses a lot of powerpoints and movies and uses the book to tie everything together. He has a lot of online article quizzes and lecture tests. He has good jokes sometimes and is entertaining.

Great Teacher!! Helps you if you need it. If you study your notes for tests, you'll get an A, very straight forward. Watch movies and copy notes, can be boring at times, but well worth it. Very nice guy also, quizes and articles are done online, if you forget one you can make it up. AMAZING PROFESSOR

Dr. Moeder is the bomb diggity. He's a nice guy and extremely helpful. He makes funny little jokes and is EXTREMELY dedicated! Catch up on your movie references, he'll school ya!

I've taken several classes with him and he is really a great guy. Very helpful with tips and problemsolving and will work with you on any problems you have. He's fun to talk to outside of class and he knows a lot about movies. I'd recommend him for every class if you do your work and show up to class theres no reason you can't get an A.

Moeder is probably one of my favorite teachers. He knows what he's talking about and he loves it when you participate. He's always willing to help you. He always uses powerpoints so the book isn't vital, but he talks from the book so it helps. Overall, go to class and don't talk over him and he's your bestfriend!

Had Moeder once my sophomore year and now my senior. He is awesome. Really likes what he does and likes what students do with their work. Very helpful and straight to the point. Don't let his "nerd" style fool you, this guy is with pop culture and is funny. Def take him. Very dry but it makes him so awesome... you'll get what i mean.

Moeder taught me so much about screenwriting! He was very fun, generous and he really cares about his students. He understands what it's like to be a college student. Go to class or prepared to get your grade docked. Seriously, one of the best teachers at SU, so friendly and knows his stuff. Always willing to help.

He is my favorite professor at SU! He is very knowledgable and always appreciates when students participate in his discussion. This class is a lot of fun as well :) He doesn't use the textbook a whole lot, he gives you a class guide which will be your bible.

Moeder is the man. He taught me a great deal about screenwriting as well as the structure of basically every quality story ever written. The class was very eye opening and taught me a lot. Make sure you show up and make sure you're prepared, he likes that. Do your work on time and show him that you put effort into it and you'll do well. Take him.

Moeder is great! He is so nice and so interested in what he teaches that it's a fun class. He is always willing to help you out and is always interested for you to participate in class. He even helped me with questions I had that were completely unrelated to class. Probably my favorite professor.

He knows his stuff, and is very willing to work with you, but his grading standards are ridiculous. He takes off points of this little things and then tells the class he was begin lenient when grading. If you want a lively class he's not your guy. I would not recommend him

Dr. Moeder is one of my favorite professors in CMAT. He'll help you with anything you need if you just ask and he's a really fair grader. Doesn't ask for long papers, movies in class, follows the syllabus. Really cool guy all around.

Lectures were always very interesting and not taking is important. It will be the determining factor as to whether you pass or fail. He was funny at times and seemed very knowledgeable about the subject. Participating is important.

He does assign a lot of papers, but they are not long (about 2-3 pages) and they're pretty straightforward. He shows a lot of movies in class and is pretty clear about what he expects.

I honestly have no idea how anyone would not get an A in this class. His tests are easy, his essays are easy, his lectures are easy to understand and straightforward, and the class is just all around one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. He himself is also such a nice guy and very sweet. Pushes back due dates if you need more time. Take him

He was awesome! If i could take him for another class I would. His classes were never boring and I enjoyed going to them. He gives extra credit and a lot of quizzes. His tests are literally right from the study guide that he gives you so they are easy A's.

Great professor overall, be prepared to take notes during class because his tests are purely note-driven. Very witty and you can tell he enjoys what he does! A few chances for extra credit, but other than that the course is an easy A and he makes class as enjoyable as he can.

One of my favorite classes, well organized and executed smoothly. Lectures consist of powerpoint notes and videos with questions. If you study both, you'll ace the exams and he gives extremely specific exam reviews. Participating is important and material is relatable which makes it easy. Online and in-class quizzes, 2 essays, 1 book to read.

My experience with Dr. Moeder this past semester was amazing, his CMAT 331 class was the best class I have ever taken. Very fun. I've had him for 4 classes now and got A's in 3 of them. They're not all as fun as his 331 class, but he is very clear on expectations in all his classes, so getting an A is not hard. Great teacher.

HE is the greatest professor at SU!! He always cares students to focus on the lecture and papers. I guess this class needs your imagination and creativity, and we also share own script in the class. Dr. Moeder likes the people who are doing best or working hard for the class processes and papers. Anyway, HE IS THE BEST !!!

Gives very detailed lectures; you can tell he knows a lot and is passionate about the subject matter, and he makes it easy to learn. Grades his papers a bit harshly but offers revisions. Makes extremely helpful study guides before each exam. Also has a great sense of humor!

It was structured but also gave freedom for creativity. Mr. Moeder was awesome and he always tries to help everyone the best he can. If you miss a class he will give you time to make up the work. We got out of class early almost every time. Assignments are easy. Some lectures can be long but he tries to break it up with videos.

Great Professor, I've taken him twice already and i Just signed up for my 3rd to finish my CMAT minor. He is very very FAIR at grading. He is very clear about what he wants and you never get a grade that you don't deserve. Always would stay after class to help which alot of professors don' do. Great guy take as many classes with him as you can!

Absolutely loved him! All of the quizzes/exams were based on the lecture PowerPoints, articles, and the videos he played in class. He is super nice and makes it easy for his students to succeed. There are 2 essays, 6 lecture quizzes, and 5 article quizzes. The textbook is online and never needed it. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved Dr.Moeder. He was an amazing professor. He is kind but he is lecture heavy. All exams are online and papers are relatively easy to figure out and write. Highly recommend taking one fo his classes. Also, he does have a textbook but he does not use it much if at all.

I loved Dr. Moeder's class! He offers thorough and informative lectures and is very passionate about this subject and has a great sense of humor. the sweetest guy ever, he obviously loves what he does and it makes u care bout the material more. we watched vids and movies a lot and he always welcomed discussion. he also loved hearing our opinions on stuff too. im not a comm major but if i was i would take him every chance i could, but he said he's retiring so im happy for him

Dr. Moeder just retired and even though the only two classes I had with him were during his and my last semester I am going to miss him. I'll admit that in both of his classes the lectures could get boring but he gave great feedback on assignments and truly wanted his students to succeed.
