Straight forward and easy. No frills online course.
HE IS VERY AVAILABLE AND CLEAR. ALL ASSIGNMENTS ARE AVAILABLE LONG BEFORE IS DUE. THERE ARE A LOT OF HOME WORK BUT AUTOMATIC 100 FOR DOING IT. THERE IS A WEEKLY TEST THAT IS VERY HARD. I HAD TO STUDY VERY HARD FOR THE TESTS. A IS DUABLE BUT REQUIRES LOTS OF HARD WORK. THE SUBJECT IS JUST HARD NOT HIS FAULT BUT ONE OF THE TESTS WAS VERY HARD.
Took the online class. Pretests and assignments easy 100% just for completing them. Read the chapters, took notes, and used the McGraw Hill Learn Smart which made tests pretty easy. Know current events. No real lectures, just introductory videos for the chapter. Nice gentleman when responding to emails.
one test each weeknot very easy tests. 2 small 50 words writing each week and 2 pretest with unlimited retakes( make 100 for participation and counts as 30% of the grade). some times helpful. it required a lot of time and studying. if you are looking for easy A this is not one... it's very busy
There's a weekly assignment in here, but they are 50 word responses online. The tests can be hard, but they're also given online. Lectures are a little dull, but he's a good professor. He responds quickly to emails and questions. I recommend him; the class isn't too hard.
This class was easy and interesting. You have a weekly 50 word assignment due on Blackboard and then 4 tests and a final. This class is easy and the tests make sense. Easy to get an A if you study for anytime at all. Showing up is a must due to the fact that current events are discussed and those are on the test.
I am in this class online and it is fairly easy. As long as you read the textbook you will be fine. He gives a pretest on monday every week (which you can retake over and over for 100%), one 50 word assignment due every thursday, 3 exams & a final exam. He is a pretty easy grader on assignments
Most of the stuff is done online. Online assignments which are easy A's or completion. Tests are taken online. Lecture time is usually to discuss current eventspolitics. Seems he just started giving pop quizzes this semester so skipping class can be risky.
not a bad prof. tests can be hard since there's so much info, but you can just google all the questions since the tests are online. attendance is not taken but show up because the current events discussed in class will be on the test. you have homework every week which are short answer questions but they're not hard. book not necessary.
Dr. Morris is a good guy. If you do everything you're supposed to, you'll do well in the class. However, sometimes he'd ramble and get off topic so he'd then have to rush through the powerpoint to try and cover everything. He gives pop quizzes, but he lets you work with the people around you. Tests are online and not too difficult.
Took this class for a summer five week session. Pre-test due at the beginning of each week and a discussion board that is only 50 words due at the end. There were four tests and a final and everything is online. Definitely an easy A if you keep up with the assignments. Would take again!
I loved this course. I took the online accelerated 8-week course offered. Professor Morris designed the course perfectly. Directions are clear and concise. You must read the text to pass, however, the reading is actually interesting and enjoyable. Weekly assignments are pre-tests over 2 chapters, 2 discussion posts, and then a regular exam.
Mr. Morris made political science a rather interesting class, he likes to begin class discussions with current events (relative to politics in Texas). His tests and quizzes are all online and he has assignments due every week regarding the lectures from the previous week. If you take notes and are open to new ideas I highly recommend his class.
Hes pretty cool, show up to class and you're good, he gives pop quizes that you can take with your neighbor, there is one short 50 word assignment online a week, the tests are online so you can take them at home or with a buddy.
Class was very easy. Exams were difficult, however if you have a good understanding of how government works, you'll be fine. If you don't, you will have to read. Otherwise, easy A. Course work was light. Expectations are clear and working ahead encouraged. Asked for help with an issue with an assignment in BlackBoard, didn't receive any.
The class didn't have much work, the quizzes were easy and open book. The test were kinda hard so you do have to study are at least take notes but it's online so you can use your book. The test are long so don't count on trying to get through it at the last minute with no notes.
I regret taking this online class. Tests are tough, you have to take them using Lockdown browser. After taking the exam you cannot see the questions anymore to study for final. 3 test plus the final. No opportunities for extra credit. Took online class thinking was going to be easier with my work schedule but I was wrong. Going to class is better.
If you want an "A" in this class, all you need to bring to the table is an IQ just north of what a monkey possesses. Seriously, SUPER easy class. You will have to read the book and know key concepts, however its only 2 chapters a week- each being only 30ish pages of light reading. Tests are mildly challenging, but not if you go over the quizzes.
This online class was the best way to fit a core requirement into my schedule. It was basically a joke. I got an A. I did all the quizzes (it shows you the right answer so you always get 100%) and journal entries for the whole semester at the start. As for the exams, just google everything. Use a different device because he requires lockdownbrowser
Very straight forward class. Minimal writing and no discussion board for an online class. You get an opportunity to review your previous exams before the final. Take advantage of this because a lot of the questions are repeated.
Online class, no long papers just answer easy questions per chapter (super short and easy writing assignments), mandatory pre-test which you get 100 automatically just for trying. Exams are a little bit challenging but if you read the book and google the exam you will be fine but you must use another device since you use lockdown. Easy grade.
Straight forward class and Professor. Very structured and the same every week. You know exactly what to expect. There will be 2 pre-tests due on Monday (it's easy), 2 chapters to read for the test on Friday and there are usually 2 discussion topics to type---50 words, please---no biggie. Made great grades by reading and outlining chapters.
Great class. The tests can be a little difficult because they are designed to confuse you sometimes but the assignments are easy to do and you do pre-tests beginning each chapter. There is a lot of reading. Read carefully and take good notes for the exams.
He is a good professor but a little dry and sometimes hard to pay attention. He will let you do quizzes with your neighbor to check your answers. His tests are somewhat difficult but online and can be done at your convenience. Overall I would take him again. Easy A if you pay attention in class.
Boring Lectures but overall not a hard class. Great for an elective. No homework, slides are blackboard, and tests online. Don't need the book, don't need to go to class, just study before test and you'll be fine.
Easy A: read the book & do the quizzes. We did have one issue where the grades were dropped out of blackboard but that wasn't the professor's fault & he communicated the issues quickly. IT got the grades back up in time for finals. One note, some questions on the tests are not as important but appear regardless - take note of #'s of employees, etc.
Great class with an easy format. The assignments are easy do all of them. Lots of information and a lot of reading. You basically read the entire book because there are no lecture notes. The tests were a little tricky with the questions but are multiple choice and true or false. There is a cumulative final and no review.
Easy format to follow. Get ready to read the entire textbook.
I took US Government online as a prerequisite for the RN to BSN program. It was not hard at all, and I actually enjoyed learning about government. The class and Blackboard was very organized. Each week 2 pretests, 2 writing assignments, and an exam over 2 chapters were due. I definitely recommend taking Professor Morris!
Extremely easy class. 2 pre-test, you will receive an automatic 100 for just attempting them, one discussion per chapter (extremely easy), and 1 test a week (over 2 chapters). Test are taken in lockdown but most questions are available on quizlet if you have access to an extra computer.
Easy online class, pre-tests(automatic 100 just for attempt), an lpa( a simple question you have to answer) and the tests which are simple. He uses lockdown browser, but you can easily look up the questions for the test on another laptop or your phone. I barely read the book and many times forgot I was in this class.
I learned a lot just be ready to read and comprehend what your reading. The test was tricky.
If you read the chapters and highlight key terms you should be fine. If you get tired of reading (because you WILL read a lot) just look up the quiz/test answers online.
Straightforward and clear layout of the entire course is there since day one, just do the LPA's and Pre-Tests, and study for the tests, you'll get an A. The professor is passionate and knowledgeable about the subject and has made an effort to make the course as easy and as simple as possible.
This class was mandatory for my RN to BSN. The grading criteria was clearly outlined. Class was easy to maneuver on blackboard. You could tell Prof Morris truly had a passion for Government and as long as you read the material you will do fine. This class was manageable with a full time job and children at home.
I only read the chapters for the first test (Since I wasn't sure what to expect) and then after that I just took the tests with my textbook out. Every week there were three or four pre-tests (completion grade), three or four short answer questions (just look up the answer in the book and you'll get a 100) and a test at the end.
I took his online US Govt class. It was very easy, the assignments and tests had answers straight from the textbook. However I could never get a reply from him to get feedback on a test so I could know what I got wrong. Just don't miss assignments because he doesn't accept late work. That killed my grade a bit, but it's my own fault. Easy A.
I took this this past spring and it was incredibly easy. The only thing that was annoying was that you had to purchase an access code to the class. Other than that, you have to read, do the pretest, and respond to the LPAs weekly. You can find the answers to the LPAs straight from the reading. Three unit exams, one final - all answers on quizlet
Took it online. Simple and straightforward. A light workload. Just study and take exams. He also works with you if you have technical difficulties or work-related problems. Finally a professor who understands.
Easy breezy. Very nice and engaging guy. Lectures usually involve a current events discussion and then powerpoint, so go if you want. LPA's are easy, just ask classmates if you're lost, they'll hook it up. Tests also a breeze since they're online . Overall just a nice, easy class to take the load off of a busy semester.
This class is stupid easy. I don't understand why his rating is so low, could easily be a 5.0. Super nice guy though, most of the homework or LPAs can be Googled and same for the tests. You have to be doing something wrong not to be making an A!
Great guy. This is probably one of the easiest classes you can take. Barely anyone shows up to the lecture anymore just because everything is straightforward and there's Google. Everything is done online so this class will be the least of your worries.
He is a great teacher and he makes sure you pass the class. He has pre-test for every chapter that gives you unlimited chances to get a 100. After the test, you have to answer a question on blackboard. The answers have a 50 minimum word count. Very easy course.
Very Easy Class. First time i ever took POLS i failed twice. Professor Morris made it understandable and easy to learn. There is a lot of reading and discussions that you have to participate. Quizzes are easy, some questions can be google or text book. Honestly you learn a lot through reading and discussions.
I'm not sure how you fail government or POLS, but with Professor Morris can't tell you how easy it is to get an A. Maximum 10 minutes a week on the pretest and short answer question. For the tests find a buddy and take it together. You honestly have to try to not get an A in this class.
His lectures can put you to sleep, but his in class discussions are worth sitting in for! If you love politics, you'll love his class. The homeworks, quizzes and exams are all online,Quizlet :), and very easy. He's a very caring person so if you have any concerns, he'll listen attentively! It's IMPOSSIBLE to fail his class!!
This was a pretty easy class. He kept the class interesting by debating current events the first 20-30 minutes of class! Just show up to class, take notes, do your quizzes and LPAs and you'll pass. I'd recommend taking him 100%
Professor Morris was a great teacher. A majority of your grade comes from the pre tests and LPA's so do them (they are super easy) and the tests are easy if you go the review day in class. (most of the answers on the tests are on quizlet) This POLS class was great and easy 10/10 would recommend!
I took his POLS class and he really made my first semester a breeze. Grades are based on 4 tests, 14 LPAs, and 14 pre-tests. As long as you attempt the pre-tests you'll get a 100 and the LPAs each have a question and the answer comes straight from the book for an easy 100. He is very caring and understandable and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
He switched up the format of his online class. There is NO LECTURE material, just read, do the LPA, and take the exams. I have only taken the first exam so far and failed it. There was no way to prepare for it. We are not allowed to use books/notes which are useless anyway because you have to memorize every sentence of the book in order to pass.
Learned a lot. LDAs helped my grade. Participation a must. Lots of reading. The Power points helped once I discovered them. Would have liked study guides. Test questions were reworded from the text book which confused me. Overall good class.
Here are Some things that no one says on the reviews here. All test are online and proctored thru a web cam. The teacher is very understanding and most of us all fail the first 2 exams and he drop both of those test for us. You really need to study hard and read all of the chapters.
This class has really become a frustrating one, I droped POLS 2311 last time as I got B but this time its even worse. I have read all chapters pretest and all resources provided but still it is not going to help for the test. I dont know what is going on in his mind,... There seems no way to do good in this class and also it has made me depressed.
I feel that some are being too harsh on Prof. Morris. Yes, the tests are very hard and contained some obscure questions, but he was very understanding about it and dropped not just one, but BOTH of those tests. I would definitely recommend taking his class as the homework is very light compared to other online classes I've taken.
This teacher has a power issue and he appears to prides himself on making sure you do not get an A in his class. Don't expect to get 100% in his class because he picks over your Learning Act. to look for areas to mark off points.
Requires a lot of effort to get an A. The pre-tests are participation points which really help your grade. LPAs (homework) easy and straight from the book, also boost your grade. Tests questions are from a national question bank, so search quizlet for questions, even if from another college, because the exact questions are out there if you look.
He dropped the lowest TWO tests, but it was only for my semester because it was it was his first time using the cameras during tests. READ the textbook and power points and know DETAILS!! My class was lucky because we were the guinea pigs but now he learned what not to do, so beware future classes! He's understanding but the tests are ridiculous...
This course is meant for nurses who are attempting to get their BSN. Every other nursing course in this program is manageable, but they make the general ed courses so difficult to pass. Do you really need to video monitor the students to make sure they aren't cheating on your POLS tests? Its absolutely ridiculous.
Online course. Just horrible. There is no way to do well on the exams, unless you have a photographic memory and memorize every sentence of the textbook. Actually, even then you might not do well as a lot of the questions are written in a very confusing manner. He did not drop any of our tests this semester. I've never done so poorly. Ridiculous
Just finished my first ever 5 week summer online course which was a huge shock to the system. The fast pace and workload was insane at first, but Mr. Morris makes it very clear what you need to succeed. He gives great resources, but it is still best to Read the Book. He is truly kind and responds quickly/courteously to emails. You can work ahead!
Insanely hard tests, even if you read the chapter. you have to memorize every exact detail. screw this class! For the final he said to just study and know everything from the 14 chapters we covered. wtf
Tough class for a general ed. required course. Advice: pre-tests and LPAs/discussions are easy points; do them. The textbook was useful, the questions at the end of each chapter and review of the pre-tests are a great resource for studying for the exams. Review the chapter exams for the final exam! Good luck!
Professor Morris has made coming back to college after 18 years a pleasure. He is clear in expectations and is well prepared. I wish he taught more classes or there were more professors like him. I learned more in this class than any other this semester. Thank you.
Professor Morris was a great teacher who genuinely cares about his students. He takes the first 10-15 minutes of class for discussions on current events, which really helps students apply what they learn in class to real life. Prof Morris was always available during office hours and gave great explanations and feedback. Overall a great teacher.
Now that his "guinea pig" class is over.. he uses cameras on the test he DOES NOT drop tests anymore and they are insanely hard. We have to read two chapters a week but they are LONG AF, so forget studying for other classes in between his due dates. I don't know what happened but he decided to make it ridiculously hard and no longer help you.
Professor Morris is so sweet! He truly cares about his students and respects everyone. His class is really easy too. Attendance is not mandatory. As long as you do the assignments on blackboard (really easy) and study the chapter questions in the book you will definitely get an A. He even offers a chance for extra credit!
Professor Morris' online class wasn't too difficult but it wasn't easy. You have to read the book as well as do the Pre-Test every Monday (automatic 100s) and the LPAs (automatic 100s). The test will be difficult if you do not read the book carefully. Overall, he's clear on what he expects, you just have to do it.
Make sure to read and do everything required.
He is such a good professor, very interesting lectures (if your class participates) and very easy grader. Just show up and make sure he knows your name. Never got an A in pols before but with his class I did. Highly recommended professor who actually cares about his students.
Took the 5 week online summer course of POLS2311. 30% of the grade is from simple participation assignments. 45% was from easy tests where most questions were from the pretests. 25% from the final which was actually a bit tougher (new questions). Overall an easy A for me (4.0 student). Final grade 97% (A). Finished class 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
Took him online for summer 1. He is Clear on what he wants and how he grades. Strict on citations, there are pretests that are 100's no matter what, then LPA'S that he grades and you NEED the book. LPA'S are questions from the book and you need to cite the page numbers. His tests require webcam and lockdown browser. overall chill class, easy A.
Read the chapters, review the chapter questions. He assigns chapter quizzes that help tremendously on exams. He gives 100% for effort and he's really easy to talk to. I hope to be able to take POLS 2312 with him.
Gov't of U.S. online. It was very interesting, but I'm interested in politics. I learned a lot in this class. It was an easy A. As long as you do the reading in preparation for the exams, it should be an easy A for you as well. I would take another class by him.
I love that Mr. Morris is so organized. It made taking this class on-line easier to do while I am working.
Professor Morris's online class wasn't bad. The workload is pretty consistent. He doesn't give extra credit so never expect it.
GRAET professor ez class. consists of quizzes(online), lpas (50 words answering a prompt), and tests. quizzes were just completion grades. lpas were from the book (find online-dont buy). for us, he gave us a study guide worksheet for each chapter and then made questions from that. IT WAS SO EASY just study that worksheet!! he's funny and a nice guy
He's a very nice older man that really loves what he does. In all honesty, DO NOT READ THE BOOK. That book is so long you'll fall asleep taking notes on it. If you just pay attention to lectures you can easily get an A in the class. The only reason you need the book is for citations for the weekly discussion board posts. Overall, AWESOME TEACHER.
The class is very easy as Mr. Morris provides many resources to help you prepare for the final exam and for the unit exams in between. Homework is based on content from the required textbook for the class. However, Mr. Morris basically goes over the major things you'll need to know from each chapter in class. This class heavily tests your memory.
Great professor overall. The book can help but if you simply do the review worksheets he provides and show up for the review days, its an easy pass. The only grades was weekly quizzes graded on completion, short discussion posts, and two exams.
He was a really caring teacher. Since the coronavirus came up, he was the only teacher i had this semester that helped his students pass during this terrible time. As long as you study for the tests from the pretests you should get an A too
Very good feedback fro professor and coach. The textbook is online for purchase. Participation matters. Reading and note taking is required.
You read 2 chpts a week with an exam due every Fri. Learning progress activities are a minimum of 50 words answering specific questions about the chapters & due every Wed. A pretest for each chpt is due every monday but you don't have to get answers right. Final exam was all 14 chpts. Thought the class was straight forward but i worked for my A
Excellent professor, if you are not ready to read and study the chapters then don't expect an A. Easy weekly assignments, I took the summer session so it may be different for a full semester. Professor drops lowest quiz grade. All test are taken on lock down browser with web-cam use. Gives great feed-back, easy grader.
Prof. Morris is the best guy for anything Political Science. He cares for the students and is easily accessible besides class hours. His lectures are well-organized power points (at least for FALL 2020)and are to the point. You can easily score an A if you just give your little effort consistently and complete the LPAs and PreTests on time.
Great teacher! He was so nice. His lectures are pretty chill and he likes his class to be discussion-based. You can tell he really enjoys what he does. Assignments aren't bad and the book will definitely help you for the tests.
Awesome. Kind and caring and wants you to learn in his class. Even though this subject isn't everyones cup of tea, he respects that and still helps you to succeed. Definitely take him over other profs
Lots of reading, but test came straight from practice tests. Overall, great professor.
He sets out all assignments you need to do at the beginning of the semester, so there are no surprises. Three monitored tests and one final. Simple assignments and pre-quizzes. Overall it is a well organized class and if you do the assignments and read the textbook you should do great.
Assignments were simple and straightforward. His tests are pretty easy as well and are directly from a practice quiz that you take for each unit. You'll definitely do well in this class with this professor.
Professor Morris is a great professor who really cares about being an educator! The course is very organized. Every unit consisted of a Pretest and LPA then the unit test. Just do everything on time and show effort! The unit tests consist of questions from protests, so just be familiar with them!
If youre looking for an unresponsive professor giving a lackluster, phoned-in attempt at teaching.... this is your guy.
Good teacher, cares about his students, do all the pretests and study the pretests and you will do great on the tests and the LPA's are all from the book. Good Teacher, more teachers should be more like him!
He is probably the best professor I've had all year. I took him for two semesters and his class is amazing. He is inspirational and he helps students a lot with the material. As long as you do your assignments that's an easy A.
Professor Morris is the best professor I have had in college. His lectures are clear, and he has assignments that are 100s as long as you do them. His class is super engaging as he always opens lectures with a current event discussion. His tests come from highlighted sections in lecture notes and concepts on the pre-tests. 10/10
Amazing! Took 2 classes w him b/c he really cares and made online classes actually enjoyable. Really respectful and cares about his students; occasional "how are you doing" surveys and personal discussions. Really clear grades, no surprises and easy to ace if you read a bit. Not hard at all, just be there and ask questions. Loves discussions + Kind
He is honestly the best professor I had this semester. He is so understanding and kind. If I could take home for all my courses I would. I didnt even show up to class every day but he makes the course super easy and easy to understand and gives you every resource needed to understand the test and pass even if you dont attend the class.
Pretty easy class, as long as you have the textbook and study the PRE tests you'll pass easily. He does get off topic at times but it's still entertaining and eye-opening. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Also, Quizlet will be your best friend for this class.
Totally loved this class! The level of difficulty is very appropriate considering that this is an intro class. Read the material and study the pre-tests and you will pass easily. Thought it would be a boring class but was totally mistaken- lots of new and interesting info to learn! Would definitely recommend this class by professor Morris.
Honestly I did like this professor and the day to day work was easy and straight forward but it does get very repetitive because its the same assignment every week. The test however are quite hard and he doesnt really give a formal review. Get ready to read a lot though because there are readings every week.
class was pretty straight forward two chapters a week followed by a test, so weekly tests, 2 discussions per week with a 2 peer replies for each and one final. quizzes are straight from the book, you just have to rememorize them if you can. final is a mix of all chapter tests and he uses respondus lockdown browser w/webcam. Class is well organized.
I loved this class and prof. morris. two assignments a week (one is completion, and one is very easy, you just use the book to find the answer). unit tests are made up of the completion assignment and highlighted portions of the notes. he never puts anything on the test that isn't highlighted or on the completion assignment. attendance optional.
Professor Morris was literally the kindest professor youll have. Assignments are basically participation grades because I got a 100 on everything. For exams, make sure you study the pretests (which are auto 100s if you complete them). He gave us extra credit at the end of the semester.
Great professor, very open to discussions. My only issue was there was no late submission allowed at all. But nonetheless, very easy assignments, basically free 100s. There were 4 unit exams and 1 final exam, of which he drops your lowest unit exam from your final grade. If you put in minimal effort, except exams, you can get an easy A.
He is one of the best who will make you love Political science. He understands that most people may not be pols major and this gives easy questions most of it coming from his short ppt and pretests. He will teach you for the sake of learning instead of stressing you for grades
Professor Morris was an amazing professor to take. His class consisted of 4 exams and 1 cumulative final. All of the exams were super easy if you study the highlighted terms in the power points and the pre-tests. He has open discussions at the beginning of every class so it's not boring. Definitely recommend taking for an easy A.
Along with being a good teacher, he seemed like a great person as well. For the quizzes, just do the highlighted areas of the lectures & you have atleast a B
He is such a caring Professor, but just because of that doesn't mean that you can shrug this off. I would say to make sure you study a week early before the midterms, and he will give you hints during the lectures on which questions will be on the exam. I am going to take his class next semester :)
Professor Morris is extremely caring. All of the assignments were very clear and straightforward and were used mainly to check in on your reading comprehension. The exams used material from the slideshows and similar questions from the pre-tests, so definitely review those to study. Be sure to complete all of the pre-tests to receive extra credit!
Clear grading criteria and work however tests are worth a little under half your whole grade. Personally, I am a terrible test taker and fail almost every test but in class/homework I made all 100s. Will not give extra work/credit to boost grades regardless of circumstance so I don't recommend if you have a terrible time taking tests.
Prof Morris had some iffy opinions at times. I was excited to have him as a teacher, but overall let me down. When doing recent event discussions, the topics were so obvious and often unfulfilling. One good thing was when my class did terrible on the first test, he came up with a review after each unit, which improved the following test scores.
Great professor to take online if you need a credit for summer hour he has pre test that help you before you take the test overall great professor highly recommend no complaints
If you are looking for a summer class to take, please take this one. Professor Morris is one of the best and understands that the main goal is to pass. You will need the online textbook to do LPAs and further studying, but overall your main focus of study are pre-tests and provided PowerPoints. He is quick to answer any questions.
Took this class online this sem. Morris had all assignments open first day, made many mistakes in his exams so we had to retake them but he just kept our highest grade. Assignments were easy, I completed them all within a month. Exams are open note, weekly discussion posts. Totally recommend him, super nice guy, wish he taught 2312! Easy A
Although I did not interact much with the professor due to it being an asynchronous course, the course was super organized. Just read a chapter a week and answer the week's question. The professor also gave us weekly pretests (completion grade). These pretest questions are almost the same questions on the exam, so study them and you're good!
Super easy class!! I took this during fall 2022, which is also my first semester in college and this class is definitely not one that I had to focus on. Many of the assignments are just answering the question asked and using a quick reference from the online textbook (I took this class online). Also, the quizzes and final exam was a piece of cake!
He's chill and his class is easy. He does go off track and rambles during lectures sometimes. However, he does ask the class for opinions and will kinda add to that. Attendance isn't mandatory but he'll give you extra credit if you're present 90% of the time.
Easy A. He is very nice and clear when he teaches. Exams are very easy. His PPTs are perfect to prepare and review for the exams. He highlights all key terms and concepts. Weekly LPAs and pretests won't burden you because they are easy, as well. His email feedback is very fast.
This professor will not give you a break on anything. He is firm on 89.50% rounding and will not extend any deadlines even past a minute. Read the syllabus carefully. That being said he knows what he is teaching.
Content included short writing assignments (LPAs), in-class current event discussions, pre-tests, and exams. Pre-tests are a participation grade and extremely helpful for studying. Exams were multiple choice and taken in person. Offered extra credit by completing an evaluation. Professor enjoyed participation and responded to questions promptly.
His class was so easy. Just do the assignments and you'll most likely pass with a high grade. I enjoyed his class and the fact that he doesn't try to push his political agenda onto students. He is not lenient with late work so do everything on time. Overall would take him again!!
Prof Morris is very understanding. He tells you about the political stuff that is happen in the world. There are only 3 EXAMS and the FINAL EXAM you can be examined from it. This class is very easy, and he is also chill.
Overall very easy class but I wouldn't recommend attending his lectures if you want to learn more about what you want without unwarranted political rants about his personal beliefs. He starts every class by talking about current political events for about 45 minutes. Skip the lectures, study the pretests, and you'll be fine.
He is okay, but he is very strict with due dates. The tests are weighted weirdly. Whenever I asked him a question he would usually respond "I've been doing this for over 10 years and I know this way works" I would look for someone else. He has the lockdown browser on the tests for some reason.
The best part about his class was everything that didn't involve the textbook; he gives life advice, discusses current events (which I personally don't care for but hey), and encourages people to be involved in class. Assignments are easy but tests are long and fairly challenging. Don't write down everything in lecture, he does move rather quickly
Professor Morris is a wonderful professor. 2 works due each week, take like 10-15 mins max to do. Tests are super easy if you know what to study. Fairly long, though. Talks about current events which I greatly appreciate. Very passionate about his work, and that is what makes him a great professor! Definitely take him.
I can say this Professor was one of the best one I've had in a long time. He is patient with you, and trys is darnest to help you. You do have to help yourself, I could of passed it with A ; however, I just didnt have enough time to study. I can say his quiz are quick , and its every week so you have to be on your ten toes!
He had 2 exams & the final (wasn't mandatory if your grade before it was above 89.5, but you have to do the assignments including the pretests, LPAs, and both exams) Do the pretests bc they'll always turn into a 100, & use them to study for the exams. His lectures weren't all that bc he talked abt current events a lot. He's a good prof. & very easy
Professor Morris gave great lectures and his class was relatively easy. His system of explaining the way government affects day-to-day life was very good. All around a class, I looked forward to going to. Attendance was extra credit and not mandatory and many tests were proctored but pretty easy.
I absolutely love Professor Morris. You can tell he truly cares about his students and make it easy on us... he knows we're struggling college students. The tests are very easy and there is little to no homework. I would 100% recommend him and take this class again with him.
Easy A!! His assignments consisted of pretests (free 100), easy discussion assignments, and 3 exams with one final (not mandatory if you have 89.50 or above). Attendance wasn't mandatory so I stopped coming and just did all the work online (even the exams) and I still passed. I recommend using the pretests to study for the exams, it really helps.
All work is graded by your academic coach. 2 easy weekly assignments,
I took Professor Morris for POLS ,I am ending his class with a 89 and it is not going to be rounded up to a 90. He is a lenient grader, and his class is not hard at all if you try. I would say to not forget to do the pretest because that is what is keeping me from getting that extra point since it was the only extra credit he gives.
This class is super easy and consists of 14 pretests, 14 LPAs (50-100 words), 3 exams, and the final. If you get higher than a 89.5 in the class you are exempt from the final. Our final was open-note and open-book which was super helpful since it was 100 questions long. He's great, but keep in mind there is no extra credit or grade negotiating.
The class is very easy. Fall semester of 2024 he will now doing mandatory attendance. All the exams are from the pretest so just study them. The work for the class is just finding ehat is ask in the online textbook.
Great class. All you had to do was complettion grade pre-tests and then do a quick LPA, which takes 10 min max each week. 3 exams, all questions came from pre-tests. Beware, he did mention adding attendance to the grading for next semester!
easiest online summer class. the pretests are just like the exams. I definitely reccomend.
Easy A. He teaches really well and makes everyone feel included.
Morris is an AWESOME!!! lecturer. Provided all material online with notes highlighting exactly what will be on the exams. Very open minded , we'd have a 20-30 minute period (120m class) to talk about politics and their affect on our daily lives and what they mean for the govt. I've never met someone more calm & relaxed when talking about politics
An easy course, but it's best to use the pretests to study for the exams. Attendance is mandatory, but you can skip lectures and still do well by focusing on the readings. I found unstuck AI helpful for prep.
I hate anything that has to with history but Mr.Morris made POLS 2311 so easy! The pretest are participation grade , but are the exact same questions on the exam so study those pretest! The LPAs are EASY, 75 word count only ! You do not have to read the book, you can just look up the key words and find what the LPAs are asking for! 10/10 !!!
Strongly recommend Professor Morris his class was very easy. Exams are late similar to the pretest so if you study the pretest you will do find on the exams which are on lock down browsers. This class is an easy A and all of the modules are unlocked so you can really complete all the LPAs & pretest in advance and be ahead in this class.
Dr. Morris was very organized; his lectures were straightforward and interesting. Be prepared to do a lot of reading; his tests are difficult, but with good studying, you'll be good. There is good opportunities for extra credit and assignments don't take long! Attendance is required.
I highly recommend taking Professor Morris as he made everyone feel included in his lectures and easy to pass the course. He made it easy to study for unit tests by giving pretests every week but honestly, if you failed one test it was easy to bring up your grade with extra credit and homework.
His class was pretty easy, the course provided the textbook once you paid for the class, so all that was really required was to be present. I was never EVER good when it came to politics and the sort, but his lectures provided important points and highlighted the answers to some of the questions that would be asked in the next exam.
Great class the test are the same as pretest so I ended up skipping every lecture after the 2nd test, but I do not recommend as it may change. The times I was in class I enjoyed the way he would talk in lecture and about things the students wanted to talk about, very nice open minded and passionate man would love to take this course again.
He is so sweet and cares a lot about his students being educated on the current political state of our country. He's very knowledgeable and his lectures are very informative. The workload is extremely light and the exams are easy to study for. He's a wonderful professor and I really enjoyed his class!
A very good professor. He outlines clearly what he wants and expects from you and is very helpful outside of class hours. Would definitely recommend. Just remember to focus on the pretest becasue it can make or break your exam.
I 100% recommend: he was a super nice professor and there aren't any signature assignments, only weekly assignments that are super short and easy. He also lets you drop the final exam if you have an A in the class. He cares and will help you. Easy A.
Spends the majority of class doing "current event" talk; you barely learn any of the actual material. Textbook is not good for studying. However, as long as you do the pretests (STUDY THOSE FOR EXAMS!) you'll be fine. He's really uptight about attendance and timing; doesn't let students enter the classroom after the first ten minutes of class.
Be careful if you take Professor Morris for an 8 am class. I read these reviews thinking he is nice and understanding professor. HOWEVER, I had a completely difference experience. His attendance is mandatory and strict, and DON'T think about sharing the code. If you think only showing up to class will get you an A, be prepared for more.
Amazing professor, def knows his stuff. Uses gen z lingo sometimes & makes lectures fun. Easy assignments each week, Pretests are free 100s and LPAs are easy if you follow instructions. Attendance mandatory, posts slides in canvas. Starts off lectures with current event discussions to keep you up to date & has attendance polls at end of class.
Mr. Morris was a fantastic professor who made sure his students understood current events and tied it into the course material. He was willing to find ways for his students to easily learn and absorb the information taught and for it to be retained. His care for his student's education left an impression that would have me take another class of his
Professor Morris's course was one of the best ones I've ever taken. Enroll in his course if you can; you would not be disappointed.
best professor ever. easy grader and wants the best of student
He is such a good professor. He has clear and respectable rules for his lectures, and it doesn't take much for anyone to respect them. He is very strict on deadlines unless something has happened that you have notable proof of. He is very passionate about political science and very honest. He cares a lot about his students. Great guy!
Professor Morris is a very easy grader, and the class is not too difficult, as long as you keep up with assignments. As long as you do the two weekly assignments, you should get at least an 80% or above. Although attendance is not mandatory, his exams include topics covered only in class.
He's nice, easy class
Professor Morris was absolutely amazing, loved his class it was so easy, and he is just an overall interesting guy and loves what he does
