does not teach only reads out of the book and expects you to understand it
wastes time on stuff not relivent to test material. doesn't teach whats on test
Gives long, hard tests without enough time to finish them, EVER!!!
wanna know how to pass? know the capa like it's your child, he just tests on the capa and changes the #'s...i made a 97 on his final and i wish i caught on earlier...but he is pretty hard/doesn't teach...from what i hear, take dukes
BOOOOORING!!! you'll have better luck buying the book and teaching yourself compared to buying the book and sitting in stupid lectures listening to this dude read it to you.
help me

i learned absolutely nothing in this class...no one shows up for class because if you do it will just turn into nap time...so incredibly boring...doesnt hardly do the problems just talks about stuff you dont understand...if you take him you need to know how to teach yourself and possibly hire a tutor

boring lectures, does not teach very well. I only did well because I already knew alot about chemistry
He is so boring and very very very monotone. He doesn't teach anything. All he does is reads the lecture notes verbatim. The class started out having about 300 people in it and now there is only 30 people that come to class. He never usually never lets class out early, and when he does, he makes the class stay after the next day. Horrible teacher!!
if i could signup all over again i would not make the same mistake of having him as my professor twice. the only reason i passed was because of labs and owl. DO OWL!!!!
You guys are just plain dumb. Comparitvely, I'm not sure how easy he is compared to other chem111 professors, but regardless, he is not that bad, and he is not that hard. But yes, DO OWL!
Dr. Myrick is not as bad as people say. If you put some effort into studying you will do good. He's always willing to help you during his office hours most people just don't take advantage of it. He's very nice. If you tell him ways that he could improve he will try them e.g. study sessions and less calculations on tests.
He's an ok teacher for upperlevel students but for Gen Chem he is poor. He tries to change his methods to suit the class, but he just can't relay the material to the students. I suggest Dukes, Freeman or Odom for CHEM 111; when they sub I always understand but as soon as Myrick pops back up instant amnesia! Oh and did I mention he was DRY!
RUN! Dont take Myrick! He may be very intelligent but he sucks at teaching a large group. Lecture is not helpful at all, I basically had to teach myself everything. Test are pretty hard too.
He isn't a bad teacher, he ATTEMPTS to make a joke once in a while. I personally saw no reason to go to class, except to find out when owl was due, but if you read the book, do owl, and go to him for help... you should be fine. He does his own study sessions but only before a test. I wouldn't make any recommendations on whether or not to take him.
Everytime I went to this chemistry class, I lost massive amounts of brain cells. Myrick has no idea how to teach a Chem 111 class. If you've signed up for his class, RUN!! Freeman, Dukes, or Odom are much better at relating to students. the 3 tests are extremely hard (so is the final) and half the stuff on the study guide, isn't on the tests...
Ok I have no idea what final you took but it was super easy. Just go over all the tests and BAM instant A (in my case). The 3 tests are hard but the final helps in the end. Do ALL Owl (this sucks), excellent on the labs, half decent test grades, study hard for the final and the class is cake. (Although I still dont recommend him for gen chem!)
Okay this is one of the worst classes I ever taken. He's an awful teacher. Avoid this class. Take Freeman!
Not too hard, just study. Do the OWL and do well in the labs and you will pass. Notecard for tests so put what you need on it. He's not horrible but kinda boring. The material isn't that bad to understand on your own, either. It's mostly problems, not concepts on the tests. Freeman is (from what I hear) a lot easier, but Myrick isn't too bad.
This guy is horrible. Doesn't teach at all. Must have references on labs but will not let you use the lab book as a reference. If lab book is not credible why are we using it?? His goal is have you right a professional lab report, yet he wants a 10yr old to be able to understand it. Must assume your adience is stupid and doesn't understand 3+3.
Seems too smart to be teaching a 100 level class. He does care about his students and will be helpful if asked questions. Final was just like the 3 tests & practice final.
His class is REALLY boring!!! He's just tooo smart to be teaching a 100 level course. His tests aren't too bad! They are all questions from the practice tests, book problems he assigns, and OWL! You will HATE OWL but still do it because it can change your grade like crazy! I didn't miss a single one and it changed my grade from a C to a B!!
I couldn't bring myself to coming to this class at 9 am MWF because i would simply fall asleep during his lectures so i quit going after the first week. I ended up with a B+ after basically teaching myself everything. OWLs help alot and lab portion is easy. tests are multiple choice but only 20 questions long w/ a few trick problems.
Myrick was a great professor. He is too smart to be teaching an entry level course so he can go over the top with explanations on problems. But this problem is easily compensated for by studying the book. Hes funny and quirky and willing to help. He wants his students to pass and has test forgiveness. I fail at chemistry and still made a B+.
I highly reccomend this class. He only requires half the number of Owl problems the other teachers require and gives a lot of extra credit! Most of the questions on his exams come from previous exams that he gives you for practice! I love this class! Take it!
I highly reccomend this class. He only requires half the number of Owl problems the other teachers require and gives a lot of extra credit! Most of the questions on his exams come from previous exams that he gives you for practice! I love this class! Take it!
He was awesome! i dont know why his rating is so low! he was great. just study the past exams and you will do fine. make sure you do owl before hand!! Myrick is SO nice, and he loves his students. TAKE HIM!!
I really enjoyed having Professor Myrick. He gave us plenty of extra credit opportunities. He puts up practice exams before exam days. Make sure you do them and go to review sessions where he goes over the answers. His exams are similar to his practice exams. DO OWLS AHEAD OF TIME! Great teacher though!
Nice guy, did test forgiveness on the final. He is willing to explain things after class. He is always looking for ways to help the student. OWL Helps alot! and he doesn't give as much. Take Him!
Teach yourself or don't take him.
loved him, loved his class. i dont know why his rating on here is so low. i would deff. recommend him. he is awesome!
He is a really good teacher! He really wants his students to have a good understanding of general chemistry. Gives plenty of extra credit. Just go to all the SI sessions and reviews and make sure to keep up with OWL! Study all the practice exams he posts, some of those questions may appear on the actual test
A very helpful guy. Wants students to do well
At first, he was very unclear about EVERYTHING. But he began to let us rate his class and leave comments on notecards. Take advantage of that, because he really does want everyone to do well and will teach whatever way people seem to learn best from. The exams aren't too bad as long as you study the practice exam and past exams.
Will help students out with extra credit. Makes audio powerpoint slides as extra notes. take notes when he does problems. go to si sessions and other sessions he makes. those are extremely helpful.
He is a really nice guy and his tests are pretty easy. He gave lots of extra credit. You don't really need to come to class because he records the class and puts it online. He listens to what students tell him he just doesn't teach that well. I made a 101 in the class without much difficulty.
Dr. Myrick is a genius. He really knows his stuff. However, he seems almost too smart to be teaching a freshman class. The material in the class isn't that hard. I literally went to class about 6 times and got a B. He records himself teaching over a powerpoint of the lecture book which is very helpful so you really don't have to go to class.
Really boring teacher and not helpful at all. Tests are really easy and all multiple choice. The final was taken out of all the regular tests. I went to class maybe twice a week and still got an A. If you actually want to learn, don't take him.
Really nice professor, easy to understand if you're really good at chemistry. Doesn't take attendance and uses powerpoints during the whole class. Plays nerdy videos before class starts. Really helpful with extra credit at tutoring sessions and on final. I'd recommend take someone who is better at teaching the subject but he isn't a bad professor.
Easy class, doesn't take attendance, everything on the test is covered in lecture. My only issue with him as a professor is he only covers about 4 or 5 problems a class.
He is a good professor. The class is hard at times so you have to put in work outside of class. He does a lot as far as extra credit and outside of class help for his students.
Myrick is a great prof. He is absolutely dedicated to making sure the students learn understand the material. He provides MANY different ways to learn the material and offers a lot of extra credit too which ends up helping you learn the material anyway. The videos before class were always a plus too!
Dr. Myrick is an amazing professor. The amount of work he puts into giving all students the best opportunity for an A is astounding. He goes above and beyond. He truly has a big heart and wants everyone to do well. From extra credit, to second chances, to the hours he dedicates to each class he is one of the best and you should definitely take him!
He is awesome!!! He really cares about his students and gives you many extra credit oppurtunities! If you put the time in you can definitely get an A. I recommend him to anyone!
Dr. Myrick is a great professor! He really cares about his students and wants them to do well. He is always willing to help! The class does require some work and studying but if you put in some time you should do fine! I 100% recommend him!
Dr. Myrick is a great teacher! He really wants every student to learn! He also gives a ton of extra credit! His exams are kind of difficult but if you make sure you do the practice exams you'll be fine! Make sure you go to class thy might be boring some of the time but you retain some things even if you aren't paying attention.
Dr. Myrick is very helpful and will go out of his way to help students. He gives lots of extra credit and lots of optional material to prepare you for his exams. He is genuinely interested in teaching. If you come to class everyday and do the practice exams, you should have no trouble making an A.
There is absolutely no reason that anyone should ever fail this class. Dr. Myrick is probably the best professor I've had yet, and I enjoyed his class immensely. He will bend over backwards to help students, and he's also the nicest guy I've met. If you have to take Chem, you should be fighting tooth and nail to get into a class that he teaches.
Dr. Myrick is one of the best teachers for Chem 111. He really wants each student to do well in the class and goes the extra mile to make sure that happens. I bombed my first test and still made a B+ in the class. He wants everyone to pass. If you are willing to put in the work, you will end up with a good grade.
Dr. Myrick did everything he could to make sure we learned the material. He recorded videos of explanations of problems and gave three or more practice test for every test. Lots of extra credit. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. EASY A
Great professor. Goes well out of his way to make sure you understand the material. Records lectures, works examples online, gives out practice tests, holds study sessions before every test. If you don't do well in this class, it's YOUR fault.
Myrick puts up practice tests for all of his exams that contain questions he uses on the actual tests. If you do the practice tests and understand all the problems on them, then you WILL get a good grade in here! I got an A and attended class twice a week and studied minimally.
Myrick was an extremely helpful professor. He puts up plenty of practice exams, and works out all of the problems online so you can see how to do them. Plenty of office hours, really wants you to succeed. Show up. Use your i-clicker. Do the OWLS and you should pass easy. I didn't put as much effort as possible into the class and came out with a C+!
Great professor, extremely intelligent and truly wants his students to do well. He is extremely passionate about Chemistry and wants his students to learn as much as possible.
Myrick genuinely cared that we learned the material and gave us every opportunity to do just that. I did not have to put in much work for an A because of his great teaching ability. He uses lots of technology and gives plenty of extra credit. Success is your choice. Take him!
Dr. Myrick was a great professor. He really wanted every student to leave the class with a working knowledge of chemistry. There's an opportunity for a ton of bonus points. He wants you to get a good grade and if you put in the effort you will.
Dr Myrick, is one of the best professors I've ever had, he gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. He also gave the entire class to redo every single test. He uses many technological resources to help students learn. Hes really a dedicated professor.
Great teacher, lots of opportunity for extra credit, including going to SI Sessions. Very helpful and does everything he can to help his students succeed. Attendance is not mandatory, but he takes into account whether you have been coming to class if you are on the verge of getting an A or B, etc.
Great teacher. He gives extra credit for going to SI. Class is not mandatory but don't expect and A if you don't go.
Absolutely loved him. He was so nice and so helpful. Always happy to see me in office hours and gave me life advice as well as chem help. Class was very fair and he kept my attention. He was always striving to find ways to teach better. I'm no longer at USC but when I visit Cola, I intend to pay Dr. Myrick a visit. I would definitely recommend him!
Myrick's class is really easy. His exams have at least 3-5 questions on them that are on previous exams. He's kind of corny with some of his jokes, but he is a fun teacher. I enjoyed his class and do not think the material is hard at all.
Myrick was a great professor, I skipped a few classes, but I found myself able to keep up thanks to all the resources he put online. He really goes the extra mile to help his students. I highly recommend him!
There's so many resources for this class from Professor Myrick. He answers any questions, he provides recorded examples, he responds to criticism well and tries to adjust to meet the needs of the class if his instruction was insufficient. I highly recommend him.
One of the best teachers I have ever had. Extremely willing to help and offers so many resources for extra practice before exams. Also very understanding when it comes to student's time and gives plenty of opportunities to improve your grade
By far the best professor I have had in college. So helpful and truly wants all of his students to succeed. He gives out multiple practice tests before each exam that are very similar to the actual test and gives students so many resources to use. If you go to class and use the resources he gives you this should be as easy A
This professor is absolutely amazing. He tries his hardest to get his students to succeed. He supplies his students with endless resources and is a great teacher as well. He truly cares for his students and bases his success on how well they do! Take him if you can he is wonderful.
I love Myrick. Hands down best teacher i've ever had. not only is he amazing at explaining chemistry, he is extremely fair and wants you to learn. Go to SI though. Material can get tricky. Tons of opportunities for extra credit. You will not pass the class if you don't study though.
Myrick is a really good professor. He gives out so many resources to help. TAKE HIS PRACTICE EXAMS !! I only studied these and did very well in his class. He is a nice man and is always willing to help students out. It's also a plus that he gives extra credit for attendance which is checked with iClickers. Definitely take him and do what he says.
Awesome professor!I would definitely recommend him!He puts up exams from previous years to practice before the tests and records solutions to all of the problems.Make sure to use the practice exams to study for the tests, but you can replace a low grade through the final. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed.Definitely take Prof M!
I really loved this professor. He honestly cares about his students and does everything in his power to ensure that obtaining a good grade is possible if you work for it. He even gave us life advice. Great guy!
Great teacher! I don't like chemistry at all, but he made it fun. He posts almost everything online in case you need to see it again, and with the practice exams, you can basically know what you're going to make on an exam before you take it. He rarely references the book directly, but I found it helpful anyway. Take him!
ABSOLUTELY GREAT ! He is very helpful & really is out to help his students succeed. Lectures can be boring, but he offers loads of EC (i. e.going to SI sessions). Attendance is not mandatory...he counts it as extra credit as well. Made a B in the class without the book. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN !
This class is only two credit hours but takes as much time as all your other courses combined. Be prepared to spend FOREVER writing your reports, otherwise welcome to your second and/or third repeat of an otherwise simple class.
I originally did not have the class on my schedule, and when I switched into the class he went out of his way to make sure I was caught up. He gives extra credit for SI, Clicker Quizzes, and attendance. All previous tests are online for practice, along with short videos of him working out every problem. I highly recommend his lecture.
Myrick gives extra credit for showing up at SI which is nice. He also gives you 5, yes 5 practice exams before an actual exam that are basically the exact same. Start working on practice exams a few days before your exam and you will be fine in this class.
I didn't understand chemistry super well before coming into college and he changed that! He is an awesome teacher one of the best ive had. He is so helpful and is very enthusiastic about this class which makes it ten times better. I would reccomend taking him!
Best professor i have had thus far. Gives tons of practice exams to help study, always replies to emails, gives extra credit and helps in any way he can. His test are not very easy showing that you will get a good chemistry background leaving this course, but no other teacher cares as much about how well you do than professor Myrick.
Average teacher when it comes to lecture, but really loves his job and his students.
Easily the best professor I've had in my three semesters so far. If students emailed him about moving a deadline, he would put it to a class vote every time. Very knowledgable, very helpful.
Offers lots extra credit of SI and attendance. Also releases practice exams before each test to help study
He gives a lot of pep talks and really wants to make sure you know how to study. Lectures can get a little long-winded. The material is pretty straightforward. If you did pretty well in high school chemistry, and you take this seriously, you should be just fine.
Myrick is a great professor: like all Chem 111 classes, he reads the notes off the slides, but he really cares that his students actually learn the material, so he will post extra examples online if you ask. There are 5 practice tests for every test- including the final- use them and you'll get an easy A. Gives hella extra credit- take advantage.
Long story short: If you have the opportunity to take him, do it. He offers so much support to help you learn the material it's incredible; he offers so much extra credit that if you attend class and SI sessions, you'll without a doubt be given a decent grade. Prof Myrick is the best at his job.
Professor Myrick was a nice guy. Class is just him reading off slides and doing extra practice problems, but his explanation of what's on the slide is essential to understanding the material. Long story short: show up, study using some of the numerous practice tests he posts, and you'll get an A. Tons of easy extra credit is available too.
Good teacher. Gives extra credit for attending SI sessions. There's a lot of homework problems but its the same as every CHEM 111 class at USC. You're gonna have to study the material a good bit but again thats the nature of the class.
Generic chemistry but pretty difficult class. Myrick is the best to take for it, he gives a lot of pep talks and gives extra credit for attending SI or getting hw done early. You should go to class as the concepts can be hard without seeing them in lecture.
Professor Myrick is BY FAR the best chemistry teacher in the department. He goes above and beyond to ensure that all of his students succeed. He creates his own Youtube videos where he works through each problem. He has practice tests that are very similar to the exam.
Professor Myrick does his best to ensure all his students have the tools they need to pass. He is very active in the class GroupMe even at midnight. The in-class explanations of problems are crucial for succeeding, and iClicker attendance is taken. It's a challenging class, but with Myrick's help and a little bit of effort you will do very well.
Lecture can be hard to follow because hes very smart so he talks about things we dont need to know that are more for upper level classes so going to SI and doing the practice tests help. He provides so many resources to succeed and gives a lot of extra credit for each test. He is also very willing to help you and has provided many ways to do so.
Myrick is super sweet, but his lectures are kind of unclear. He goes on tangents a lot and there are better ways to explain things.
He definitely goes above & beyond to help you succeed; uploads videos for each practice exam question, provides in-class recordings of lecture that day/from past years, responds in the class GroupMe @12am w/ answers to questions, & provides EC if you do hw early which helps you learn material before lecture. Put in the work & use his resources A+
the best professor he is so sweet and cares so much about his students. He genuinely wants everyone to succeed, he posts videos of him explaining practice problems, answers in group me, and tries his best to make you succeed. The hw is simple you just can't procrastinate
Best professor you can take. Gives about 6 practice exams for each exam and also does a great job of explaining everything. Gives 6 extra credit points for each exam and 20 on the final for doing the homework early. Really approachable and understanding. I corrected him once and he gave me a high five and apparently thought I was a genius.
Really cares about students succeeding. Offers plenty of extra credit and gave options for students to increase their exam grades with the final.
He is such a nice teacher and is so helpful. He puts up videos of him explaining each question on the practice exam. He genuinely wants his students to pass and gives extra credit opportunities.
Hands down, Best professor ever!!! He actually listens to his students! he is understanding and wants everybody to pass with a good grade. gave a lot of extra credit for complete assignments early, super easy grade booster when it is time for a test. He made a youtube video for every practice exam question and final exam too! Take him!!!!
Very sweet teacher who wants the best for his students
Dr. Myrick is super smart and at times it seemed like he had a hard time bringing concepts down to our level of understanding. Confusing lectures but does not try to trick you on exams (will drop hints at what's on the exam), and he let the final plus HW count as your class grade if it was better than your grade with the 3 exams. Really nice guy.
His lectures felt like it was him solely deriving an equation a thousand times and there were not many example problems that he does in class. Half the class was failing and half the class was passing so he allowed for the final to be the overall grade + homework as your average if you did well on the final.
If you have to take Chem 111 online, take Myrick's!!! He is the most caring prof I have ever had, communicates with us through GroupMe and advocates for student's grades. Grade consists of homework, 4 exams, and many practice exams (2 pts each). DO THE PRACTICE EXAMS!! They are very helpful. The key is to practice as many problems as possible.
He's super nice & understanding, great at explaining & the lectures are helpful. Definitely go to SI sessions because its a difficult course, no matter the professor. Final Grade is mostly based on exams, which I would study a ton for, but gives 6+ practice tests per exam that are very helpful for studying. Highly recommend taking a class with him!
I don't know if it was just because the class was online, but the schedule was absolutely chaotic. We would have a few weeks of hardcore lectures, homework, and practice exams, and then a one week break before the actual exam, which might sound nice, but he moved so fast that the one week break was not enough time to teach yourself everything.
Myrick has been one of my favorite professors. Caring, funny, and understanding, he truly loves his students and wants them to do well. Take him if you can.
Basically, the online class just had a ton of lectures that we had to go through by ourselves. It was pretty tough because he didnt have office hours set up, but we could ask him questions through GroupMe
Professor Myrick genuinely wants to see his students succeed and is very responsive to student feedback. If students ever make a comment about something they are unhappy about in the class, he acknowledges it to the whole class and makes a sincere effort to do better. So happy to have him! An extremely knowledgeable and kind man
One of the best professors I've ever had. Very genuine person and responsive to input by students. Gives literally all the resources you could possibly need ever and you can tell he dedicates a LOT of time to the class. Does a really great job at thoroughly explaining concepts. If you try even a little bit theres no way you would fail.
As far as chem professors go Myrick is pretty great. He explains things really well, is receptive to feedback, and honestly just cares about his students. Tests are the same for the whole chem department so he doesn't control any of that but would absolutely take again
His voice is the type of voice you just fall asleep to. There is no extra credit! Ik this class sucks but he is just such a bland teacher. He was pretty helpful with groupme but he just is so boring to listen to and just goes over problems and it just not a good way to learn if the exam questions are different than the question he gives in class.
I enjoyed Myrick's class! He is always willing to help and made Chem 111 a great experience. He provides practice exams with worked-out problems. Also, he will respond to emails and Group Me messages very fast.
Myrick was a great professor and was very kind and understanding. However, his teaching style can be improved in certain areas and his lectures are fast paced but are always recorded. He overcomplicates content and makes It harder than it really is. The tutors are extremely helpful and so are the iClicker problems done in class. Save yourself.
Professor Myrick is a great professor! He explains everything very well in class and even though the majority of his classes are large lectures he prioritizes getting feedback from his students and he is very accessible outside of class. He had a groupme with all of his students and was constantly answering questions and helping with homework!
Very nice guy. He cares alot about his students. He was dealing with alot outside of class and was still always there to help especially on groupme. Only downside is his lectures can get pretty boring but other than that hes great. You also need the iclicker app for lectures.
Myrick is a very good professor who is very easy to reach outside of class. He's active in GroupMe and helps with homework questions daily. His lectures are interesting and always posted online after class. He does require iClicker so you must be in class to participate and get points.
Professor Myrick was one of the best chemistry professors I have had. He cares for his students by providing worked-out examples on his YouTube channel and being active in GroupMe whenever we have questions regarding homework and test reviews. He is also good at explaining the content in lectures for you to understand.
Great professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but he records and posts all of lectures online incase you miss one. Is very helpful with homework and exam questions.
Won't lie I didn't do great in his class because this class is basically just a math class, but he's a very good professor who knows what he's talking about and is easily accessible outside of the classroom.
He was fair and nice. Make sure to go because of the clicker problems. The tests are departmental, but his lectures prepare you very well for the tests. He also goes over problems relevant to the test the class before it. He asks for feedback from his students, which shows that he really cares. Also, do the practice exams, they are very relevant.
Professor Myrick is an engaging lecturer, often posting recorded lessons online. Though the content can be challenging, his GroupMe accessibility and resources like unstuck ai make this class manageable.
Very caring and responsible professor, however, lectures are quite intense. Should maybe not be a base level chemistry professor, as general chem is broad and material heavy. With Dr. Myrick's teaching style, he may be better suited in higher level classes.
Professor Myrick is a very sweet guy and he really tries to make you pass his class. With that said, he has a pretty monotone voice and it's the best at actually getting the information across so you will be teaching yourself. The tests are pretty hard and will require a lot of studying, and you get points off on homework if you make mistakes.
I was a biochemistry major but this class was so bad I ended up changing my major. I tried to stick it out for a while but after failing the first 2 test (I studied a lot) I decided to withdraw and change my major. Myrick is a nice person he just is horrible at teaching. He moves so quickly and is very old school. The TA Pinkly was not qualified.
The class consisted of some of the most boring lectures I've ever sat through. He would often go off on tangents, talking about topics unrelated to the course content. Wasn't the best at actually conveying info, and most of the class felt they had to teach themselves. Exams would have questions for which there were no practice problems. HW sucks.
Professor Myrick is a very knowledgable teacher, however he does not teach 141 well. He goes off on tangents and often glosses over things that are very important for the exams. The homework is very long and time consuming, and it takes credit off after ever mistake. He also provides "practice tests", but they are nothing like the actual exam.
Dr. Myrick is a really caring, passionate professor. This class is pretty lecture heavy and they can sometimes get boring. But Dr. Myrick provides tons of recourses for students to prepare for exams, including numerous practice tests, lecture recordings, online problems, and even went out of his way to have extra weekly reviews. Just try in class.
While he is very lecture heavy, he cares about our grades and tries to meet us halfway. The hardest part of his class is being able to understand the material from his lectures because he does load on a lot of information each lecture.
His lectures are very stale and often hard to pay attention, but he is very easily accessible and provides great resources to succeed.
Professor Myrick is a really good teacher. He cares about his students and even takes some time to film practice problems and lectures. Just study the practice exams and understand the concepts in general then you will be fine.
Dr. Myrick showed passion for chemistry, but lacked the skills to effectively teach the subject. He read directly off the lecture slides, skipped calculations when solving problems, and talked about irrelevant topics during class. Tests were difficult, and not a reflection of the practice. Everyone I know switched majors after taking his class.
Super nice and helpful
