Not the best class you can take...can be fun and boring at the same time, very helpful, gives students many oppertunities to improve it all depends on weather or not you take the help..he is always willing to help in the best way he can

Very fun and enjoyable class, very nice and funny teacher.

Very kind man who wants all his students to really learn the material and grow as writers.. I recommend him because he's one of the few teachers who actually cares for his students and wants them to succeed in his class.

no real homework but he grades you based on in class essays and on 2 papers. you should come to this class knowing how to write because if you don't know don't expect to learn it in class. He only offers help via phone calls.

really nice guy. he seems to really care about his students and wants them to pass the class. he's an ok teacher and he's pretty easy if u know how to write a basic 5 paragraph essay (eng 101). but if you didn't do too well in your previous class or english is not your first language he's harder.

Hes good & bad...Good because no matter how bad your work is, if you show improvement towards the end, you can still get a good grade...Bad because he seems to be tough on his grading & it hurts....He is nice no doubt about it. But he seems to get annoyed when u ask him questions that he went over & u missed....So its a coin toss if u take him

Great teacher. Very easy. Explains the material very clearly and is always helpful. Not a picky grader but you have to work for an A. By work, what I mean is just doing everything he says and paying close attention in class. Highly recommended teacher.

It is pretty easy for Mr.Naugle to favor you if you simply read the poetry and the novel, and come to class. He is seriously helpful and will always be in his office to answer questions and clarify stuff. If you manage to get a poor grade in his class, i don't know what's wrong with you.

I felt bad for the students who didn't know how to write coming into the class. He doesn't utilize the class time properly, and you can only really learn something if you ask for help. he is a very influential teacher. I guarantee you, this class is different than the usual english class. essentially, the grade is based on in-class essays and a research paper. reading assignments are very manageable: poems, short stories, novel, etc...

Hands down the best teacher in GCC. Amazing sense of humor, cares sooooo much for his students. He'll go out of his way to see you improve. Went into the classroom with a lot of fear since it was a 102 class but that all disappeared after the first day. Professor Naugle went out of his way to make the students understand the material.Such an amazing human being. The in-depth discussions of material helped a lot> He was amazing. Take him if you want to learn and be inspired.

Mr. Naugle is an excellent professor. He is extremely sincere, kind, and helpful. It is evident that he wants all of his students to succeed. Before coming into Prof. Naugle's English 102 class, I had very little appreciation and understanding for poetry. Now, at the end, I have found this course to be one of the most enlightening classes with respect to both English and life. Though poetry may not be my favorite aspect of English, I now have a more comprehensive understanding of it.

Professor Naugle has released his first novel, and I must say it is very good. One forgets that it is Mike that wrote it. I found myself lost in the world that he created. I could see the images he described, smell the smells described, and felt as if I myself were in the book. I really did not want it to end.

Writing papers were always my list favorite but now its the opposite. He puts his own time into each and every one of his students and makes them brighter and stronger. We appreicate it alot!!ty

Prof. Naugle is an awesome teacher. Taking his class is a wonderful experience, for both English 101 and 102. Naugle & Jessica are always there to help you. Lecture's are very clear and simple. Light reading is required, but you gotta do something for an A! Best English teacher, take him and you wont regret it.

Professor Naugle was excellent at directing students towards creating opinions. His has an unorthodox style that influences creativity. I liked his easy-going-zen-like nature of communication. Take his class and you will gain huge confidence in forming opinions and most importantly, communicating them.

an easy grader. final was easy, just read the novel and write a character analysis(i barely read the novel). He LOVES to know your names, so try to talk in the class. speak out your opinions! even i rarely talked in the class, i still got an A. It was unexpected to me so i was satisfied enough.

okay he hasn't been teaching for the past few semesters but rumor has it that he will be back. Kindest professor ever. The coursework is do-able with readings, discussions and a few short writing assignments. Wish every English teacher was like him.
