The best teacher I've ever even heard of!! He is like a motivational speaker for every class. It's all about the experiance and NOT about the grade. Please take this class from him, I promise you won't regret it.
I took this class online. This was an easy class. A few assignments each week, but nothing bad at all. I enjoyed the stress management techniques that I learned. I would recommend taking this or any of his classes. If I lived closer to campus I would take his Advanced Stress Mngmt class. Too bad for me.

I don't care if you think you're life is a perfect little world that has not "stress" in it or you think you don't have to take this class...but trust me, it will be one of the best college experiences ever. why don't they make this into a part of your core requirements? well they should!
Great professor. My life is so much better due to the wonderful things I learned in Professor Olpin's class. He is patient and easy going. He is able to explain things so that everybody can understand. I loved it!

Dr. Olpin is great. This class is easy- a couple assignments every week, but they are easy and actually interesting and helpful. No tests. This class should be a Weber requirement because you learn so many great tips for managing stress and being a happier person for life. Dr. Olpin really cares about both his students and this subject.

This class was excellent! The assignments really made me stop and think about my life; the tools and techniques I learned are going to help me better manage my stress levels. He offers another class-art of emotional wellness- Im going to take next semester! Definetly recommend!! Very knowledgeable and more than willling to answer any questions.
My sister recommended I take this class, and I'm glad I did. I think it's impossible to not like this professor. He's clearly invested in the students' well-being. I learned useful information in this class. I felt that the homework definitely took some time, but it was easy. The class was so thorough, not only about stress mgmnt. Take this class!
Took stress management online. It was a very helpful class; I learned a lot. There are weekly assignments. They aren't hard but do take some time. This professor was really responsive which really helped since I took it online. I would recommend this class and professor.

I took Stress Management from Dr. Olpin, I would suggest this class to everyone. You will not be sad you did it. There is 3 quizzes in class, with your notes. You learn so much and its a great way to de-stress. You couldn't possibly get a better professor this class is a easy A go into it with your mind open.
I took this class online. you will have three or four assignments a week. EACH WEEK I DID HOMEWORK FOR THIS CLASS FOR 15+ HOURS. These assignments take forever. I received an A but i didn't learn much from this class. I heard that his department was on him for giving too many A's so he has changed his curriculum which is more work and harder.
Whoever dismisses Prof Olpin doesn't realize that this is college and you spend more than just 3-6 hours on a class. This is college, not highschool. There is homework because what do you expect? His assignments are fun and reflective and certainly helps you if you take it to heart. I recommend this class if you REALLY want to learn to manage stres
I took Stress management and Mind Body Wellness with Dr. Olpin, I would recommend this class hands down to everyone take this class in person and attendance is a must. But if you want an Easy A this is the class for you. If you want a class that will help you for life this is it.
I took stress management online and it was the best online course I have ever taken. The class is well organized and there are lectures you can watch if you need to. Dr. Olpin will also get back to you if you have any questions.
I was a skeptic! But this class was by far the best class I've taken. Dr. Olpin is amazing! He studies his teachings and he creates a great atmosphere to be in. I practice his teachings everyday. It really helped me out more than I could of imagined!

This class has been the best class I have ever done at Weber. Make sure you get the DVD because its required and you will be glad you did. The techniques helped relieve a lot of stress. This class was amazing! I learned so many things that I will actually use and refer back to after graduation. Wonderful teacher whose lectures are entertaining with relevant anecdotes. Course load starts out a bit book heavy, but lightens throughout the semester as other courses tend to get more difficult. HIGHLY recommended!!
Took this class online There are 2-5 short assignments due every week from the book and/or experiential assignments such as meditation and yoga, one book report on a book you choose, and one final paper. I loved this class!
Best class to take, you would be surprised all of the useful knowledge you take away from this class. Teacher was awesome, especially for an online course. Every module was extremely clear, and so helpful. I HIGHLY recommend taking this class especially with this teacher!

This online class with Dr. Olpin was by far one of the better classes that I've taken at Weber State. You will need the book, which is very interesting. You use the book weekly and there are almost weekly quizzes (open book) and assignments that are usually one word to one sentence responses. Class was super easy could go at your own pace.
There were no tests in this course. The lectures were long and sometimes boring. He is an easy grader and was passionate about his lecture.

This class is great because it actually applies to your own life and health. There are a couple of assignments each week and three papers total in the class. You are required to read a book of your choice and write a paper about it, but it's not difficult. Take this class if you are looking to change the way you handle your stress!
This was a really easy class, but I don't feel like I really learned anything. But, as long as you turn in all of your assignments, you should get an A!
Professor Olpin is an amazing professor. I have taken two classes from him and plan on taking another in the near future. This class is incredible and Professor Olpin is always ready to help. The best part is there are no tests at all and you learn really awesome life skills!

3-4 assignments per week, no tests, quizzes, or exams. Do what is asked and there's no reason you should miss points. I have a 100%, and I'm not bragging, I'm saying this to show you how easy it is to pass with flying colors. The information is great, and really opens your eyes to the reasons behind your stress, and how you can better deal with it.
No tests but taking this class online is a joke. I would not recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for a an easy A but want something fun do not take this class. All you do is write a bunch of crap that you really don't care about. But if you are okay with that it is an easy boring A class.
This class is great if you are looking for an easy A that takes little effort. There were some really interesting topics discussed in this class, but about 75% of the lectures were boring beyond belief. Olpin knows his stuff and is willing to experiment, but he isn't the most fascinating professor and maybe that's why I found him so boring.
This is the best class I have taken at Weber! Everything you learn is super relevant and helps you handle stress so much better! I would definitely take again! Easy A class if you do the work!

Dr. Olpin was amazing. Super friendly and truly cares about the stress release of his students. Assignments were easy, just make sure to answer each part or you won't get full credit. Take the assignments seriously as they are there to truly help. I would definitely take this class again.
Very easy class to take online. There are about three assignments due each week but it doesn't take a lot to do them. There are no tests, just assignments. You need the book to do the assignments and you'll have to buy his audio files.
Dr. Olpin's Mind & Body Wellness class was a bit unstructured, but full of great information. No exams or quizzes, but there is a weekly contract, three assignments based on the class book, as well as regular reflection papers based on the activities we learn and practice. Bit of drama in my class as not everyone's open to what Olpin teaches.
Fun, fast-paced class where students do most of the "teaching." The professor just helps us learn the methods to teach, while our grade is based on the lesson plans we develop and implement in class. Attendance and punctuality are graded, but there are no tests. One group work project and few miscellaneous assignments make up the rest of the grade.
I enjoyed this class. It was an easy online class. You read the chapter each week and do the quiz and assignment. There are three projects but are not hard projects, just takes a little more effort. No tests. The quizzes are open book!

Not a bad class to take to help you become an educated consumer, whether or not Health Promotion is your major. The class is pretty easy to breeze through, as I finished more than a month before the semester ended. Book is a must, which you can use for the quizzes. Three projects and several extra assignments make up your grade, all very doable.
He is easy to work with and responds to students. He loves what he does. There are about 3 assignments due each week. They are fairly simple assignments. Just sit down... do them.. and turn them in on time! If you do this, you'll learn helpful things and get an A in the class no doubt.
I LOVE MIKE!!! He is such a caring professor that will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! This class is by far the best one I have ever taken. Regardless of your major I would recommend taking this class. You will learn things that will stick with you forever like meditation, mindfulness, how to listen, relaxation techniques, etc. TAKE THIS CLASS!!
teacher is a little boring, but over all VERY easy class. if you show up and take a few notes on key points you'll pass. we did meditation, yoga, rock climbing and other relaxation exercises. very simple homework assignments once a week that you can finish within 30 minutes. i dont have the book and i havent needed it at all this semester.
Mike is a great guy and a great teacher. He really does enjoy and care about what he is teaching. He cares about his students. All assignments are easy. The book required for the class has assignments to read it and write about it what you read. Sometimes he goes on randomly in lectures & they can get boring but most the time they are inspiring.
Class was incredibly easy, just do the assignments each week and show effort & you'll get an A. Video lectures are painful to listen to and there's a decent amount of reading. Overall, the material was actually incredible & very helpful. Take online, only took maybe 2 hours every Sunday to complete each week's work.

Mike is an awesome professor, and really cares about his students. His lectures can put you to sleep at times but if you put effort into practicing the methods he teaches your life will be changed for the better. He teaches lots of amazing things. Every day I left the class feeling less stressed than when I walked in.

Professor Olpin is one of the best professors I've had. He gives great feedback and gives you a timeline of when stuff is done. As long as you put forth effort in your assignments and read the textbook you should easily pass the class. H e definitely gives you a new perspective.

Just take the class. It's absolutely life changing and will improve your performance in all other classes. The professor is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. It's easily the best class I have ever taken.

This class changed my life. The material is super useful and very interesting. Dr. Olpin is a great professor who cares about his students. I would recommend this class to anyone. He does not have any tests, to help avoid any extra stress for his students. You also will learn some very helpful relaxation techniques.
Loved Dr. Olpin's class! It helped me be less stressed this semester. The relaxation exercises are so awesome. This is definitely a class to take for easy credit, but you learn a lot of useful stress relieving information. I almost want to take it again!

I really liked the Stress Management class. It's been very helpful and informative, and it's one of the few courses I've taken that I feel is actually applicable to life outside of school. He's a very great professor and is easily reached via email. I did the online class and it was super easy. Just complete the assignments with honest effort.
I took the Stress Management Class online. It was pretty good, but there were a lot of little assignments that seemed to pile up. If you don't want to do a bunch of relaxation exercises, don't take the class. Not necessarily an easy A, but useful if you are really interested in the subject. If you ask for help he is very understanding and flexible.

You do one quiz and one discussion a week, the quiz is more of an assignment where you just look in the book for the answers that are word for work in there. The discussions were actually interesting a thought provoking, without being overly difficult. I learned a bunch from this class, he definitely wants you to to come up with your own opinion.
I took stress management online from Dr. Olpin. I took this class to meet a credit requirement needed for a scholarship, but it ended up being one of the most useful classes I have ever taken. The material is applicable to everyday life and I've learned how to effectively manage my stress levels.
Dr. Olpin is an amazing professor and is definitely passionate about this subject! I took this class online and it does have a few hours of homework each week, but it's really not bad. I LOVED taking this class from Professor Olpin. He was always helpful and reachable for questions. His lectures are so eye opening and have helped me learn a lot. Professor Olpin is the best professor I have ever had! He is so passionate and knowledgeable about the mind and body connection. He teaches in such a practical, simple way that anyone can understand. He is such a good teacher. He has done an excellent job in designing this class to help enhance your mind and body connection, it is life-changing!
I learned so much from this class on better ways to cope with stress and to develop overall wellbeing. Dr Olpin was very mindful of each student's perspective and beliefs and incorporated that into his lessons. Some of the concepts seemed a little different but keep an open mind! Definitely take this class!
Mr. Olpin is one of my favorite professors at Weber State. I took a mind/body/spirit wellness course from him and he taught an incredible class. His lectures have tons of information on stress management and overall wellness, and he is a very kind and educated person. I think every college student could benefit from taking a course from him!
One of my favorite classes ever! Lots of little easy assignments that really apply to your life. You choose how much you get out of this class, but if you put all of the things he talks about into action, it will really change your life for the better.
Dr. Olpin is an amazing professor who truly cares about health. His online lectures are funny to listen to and easy to follow along with, these lectures go hand in hand with a quiz so make sure you open the quizzes while listening as they are untimed. The exercises are also easy to follow, just a lot of questions after them. 10/10 professor.
Dr. Olpin was one of the best professors that I have ever had. He is extremely caring and passionate about his job and teachings. His class was very helpful to my stress management. He sent out weekly announcements and had a very clear outline of his class. It was easy to follow and he made sure his students had the help when they needed it.

He is willing to work with you and has a passion for managing stress. I took this class as an elective credit but I would recommend taking it if you need an extra class!

Wow, this course definitely isn't an easy A. There are 3-4 assignments due every weekend, a writing assignment about the textbook, a video lecture quiz, an exercise that you have to do and write about, and occasionally a discussion board post. Professor Olpin is great though, he puts a lot of thought into the course, try hard and you'll be fine.
Professor Olpin really is passionate about overall wellness and enjoying life. He is kind, caring and easy to listen to during his lectures. He tells fun stories to help concepts easy to understand. This class is gold.
