funny, entertaining, i <3 him. jamaican talk...repeats old stories but you will still love him. I improved my writing abilities.

The class is not boring, VERY INTRESTING! He is so funny and the class is FUN! The only thing is YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED WHEN TAKING HIS TESTS they are HARD if you do not study!! and take his LONG notes.. but over all his class is awsome!

Mr. O is craaazy mahn! Take his class just for the fun of it. He likes to tell his funny adventure stories to Jamaica, Brazil, Mexico, etc. while he lectures, so listen closely, take notes, and be prepared to write on the spot over things you've read. His class is fun and he writes a good rec. letter if you can tie him down long enough to get one.

I took opolicky for 4 classes and he rocks....English 13001, psych 2301, psych 2314, Hum 1315!!! I recommend taking him whenever you can!!!!! I wish there were more professors like him!!! I miss you O!!!!

I recommend Mr.Opolicky. He is the coolest teacher I've ever had. He makes writing easy and fun. Go to class every day and you will be fine. Easy A!! trust me.

His class is so easy.He tells a lot of stories.We did not need a book which saved $85.If you take notes and do exactly as he says you will get an A.The only way you will fail is if you miss class and/or don't do the work. His playfulness can become a bit much.Overall he is gr8 but I wouldnt use him again but i recommend him to others HE IS FAIR!

GREAT teacher! Some other english professors like to get all the attention on campus, but he really is a great teacher and worth taking. Makes writing simple, and I learned alot. AND... you will never be bored in class! He has fun teaching. Listen to what he tells you about writing abd you will do great, and he prepares you for the next Engl class.

Opolicky is smart and very helpful. With a little hard work and his help and guidance I made an A. He is hilarious. There was never a boring moment. That him u want regret it.

I would take him over and over.He is the best professor.If you are not doing your work correctly,He will let you know right then. He allows you to make adjustments before given you the final grade. He will help you pass the class you have to pay close attention and take notes.You don't need a text book. He is a comedian very funny.You will love him

This is by far the best teacher i had at cvc! He is funny, smart, understandable, and crazy as heck. He let me when i was on the verge of failing and guided me thru my papers that counted most. I made an A+! Take him!

Makes sure you know what to expect he is very upfront. Funny, helpful, and quite the character. He jokes alot so dont be sensitive enjoy that he has personality. He will tell you everything you need to know just do it.

Mr.Opolicky is a good teacher. Class can be difficult if you don't pay attention, yet easy if you follow instructions and ask questions. The professor is helpful,smart,and funny.

Great guy. I took him in person the previous semester so felt comfortable taking him online. His assignments are pretty clear and usually sends examples of how he wants things. Quick turn around on grading and plenty of notes of what to fix if you mess up. Would recommend you take comp 1 and 2 from him if you can.

This professor is amazing. I dont know how some people are rating him low. He is very clear with what he needs out of you. If you show up to class and do as he says you can make an easy A. I just think people need to stop acting like children and do their work. Take him he is great.

I took Professor "O" back in 2009 and I loved him to pieces. Show up and participate or "your going down like the Clowns in Flower Mound"

He is one of my favorites in the entire time I have been in school. I hate writing but he is very clear in what he wants and what he does not want. I have learned more from him than in my English I class. He actually reads papers and gives notes on what you did wrong. This helped me actually learn to write and not hate it like I did. 3 Thumbs up!

Professor "O" is hilarious. I learned a lot in his class. But, you have to study hard or you will not pass the class.

I don't enjoy the subject but with this professor he makes it really simple and funny as well. His laugh just makes everything funny. He can be very sarcastic but he's a cool professor. FYI: If you take him for 1301 make sure to take him for ENGL 1302 (ENGL 1302 is even easier as long as you had saved your work from ENGL 1301) Flashdrive is a must!

Professor Opolicky is up there with the top professors on my list. I took him for Psych 1, and his teachings surely made learning the material very easy. He is also a jokster, and likes to throw in a few jokes here and there to keep the class lively, and some of the jokes actually pertain to his lesson plans.

There is a lot of writing but the papers aren't long and they are very easy. He gives great feedback on his graded papers to help make sure you don't make the same mistakes. One long research paper on an animal of your choice. 1 Assignment every week but, again, easy, not time consuming. Take his class, you will be happy you did.

Professor Opolicky is hands down the most amazing professor I've ever had. I am taking his online course for ENGL 1302 and love it. He explains everything in such detail. If you do not do good in his class it is entirely your fault. When he gives you an assignment there are very easy to comprehend instructions. You won't regret taking his class.

Just take notes. Not a good idea to miss class unless you know someone you can get the notes from. The class is really fun which makes it easier to pass.

He has a straight foward syllabus with expectations clearly laid out. Due dates are not to bad, just keep an eye on the calendar. He always plenty of times between assignments and answers emails quickly. His feedback on work you turn in is actually helpful. He grades as the work is turned in so you never have to question where you stand. TAKE HIM!

Professor Opolicky is the BEST! I always looked forward to attending his class. You will definitely learn and there is never a dull moment. You have to take notes and he gives you a study guide before the test. If you fail any of his test, then you didn't try. Good teacher and fun class.

Professor Opolicky is the BEST! This was one of the best online classes that I have taken. Mr. Opolicky will provide you with everything that is needed to pass this class. I will definitely recommend anyone to take this class. You will not be disappointed.

I took this course online, it was super easy. For his essays he provides examples of how the essays should look. You must follow directions. He doesn't give extra credit or accept late work. 3 essays 1 1/2 pg. One research paper. Not a tough grader but on the research paper he grades a little harder. Take him. He is easy

Good Professor, great feedback. Be prepared to write a lot. Papers are assigned randomly, and are graded in and out of class. There are multiple opportunities to practice for the final essay. For my semester I had one research paper, and three main essays and five quizzes . He can be hard to work with sometimes, but still a easy A teacher.

He is a great Professor. I really enjoyed my time in his class. He is very big on paying attention during lessons.

He is a wonderful teacher and straight forward about his expectations in his class. If you're asking questions, you will get the answers. As long as you're paying attention there is no way you will fail. Thanks to him I can write papers with my eyes clothes and still make A's on them. IF YOU REALLY WSNT TO LEARN take his class.

I took Prof. Opolicky for English 1301 and I loved it! Just pay attention and his work is simple. He helps you out a lot if you need it, and he leaves really good feedback on your papers. He really wants to make sure you pass. 10/10 :)

He's amazing, his lectures are so interesting and fun you forget you are at school. Professor Opolicky gives extra points at the end of semester for showing up and being a good student. Also, he truly makes you feel comfortable asking him anything and makes it easy to participate!

Took it online for summer. The course work was straight forward and had detail on what he wanted for each assignment, there was a total of 3 essays, 5 quizzes, and 1 research paper. They weren't difficult to complete and he gave examples. However he does grade a bit hard but he gives feedback.

I am an international student. I took English 1302 in summer 2 online. # 3 essays, 1 research paper, Quizzes. Don't skip quizzes, and do not make any grammar mistake. he checks every detail and takes off points. tough grader but easy topics for a paper. Not easy A. no extra credit. very strict to due dates. no excuse for a late paper.

I love Mr. Opolicky he is a fantastic teacher. He cares about his students and wants you to pass. He expects you to participate and follow directions 100%. To take this class and pass you must stay focused and finish all work.

I love this teacher. All you have to do is do your work and follow instructions and you won't have a problem with him. He is very helpful and encouraging to his students. I have taken 3 classes with him so that should tell you alot. If you are not ready to work or don't strive for perfection then he is not the teacher for you.

Took his class in the summer. Was willing to help his students with any questions. Also very hilarious he is a tough grader but if you follow his instructions you will do fine. Definitely taking his 1302 class this spring.

Opolicky is one of my favorite professors! His class is very easy as long as you show up consistently, and turn your assignments in on time. He does not give out a lot of homework. We practiced writing essays and he gave very good feedback, but yes he his a tough grader. I finished the class with a B+ doing the bare minimum. I recommend taking him.

Professor Opolicky is one of my favorite teachers. He's serious when need be but is super funny as well. He makes the class interesting. When it comes to papers, he gives great feedback and as long as you pay attention you'll pass! He doesn't give much homework but practicing writting the papers helped alot. I found out I love writting papers!!

If you can TAKE THIS CLASS! I hate English, and I am sure not good at It. I took his course over the summer and It was the best thing that I could of done ! 10/10 The things that I did learn from that class have stuck with me, and helped me a lot along the way.

I was very happy with the work Prof. O did for me as far as grading my papers and giving me back feedback and it helped me a lot. He is amusing but he is not into joking around. If you don't know the difference, then you won't get it. My favorite professor ever.

The best professor for English. He provides great feedback and grades papers quickly. He gives very clear instructions on how the papers should be written and the layout. There is absolutely no reason anyone should fail this class if they read the syllabus correctly. I loved his class because it was very informative.

Professor Opolicky gives clear and precise instructions. As long as you follow his instruction to the fullest extent you will pass his class with a flying color. This is the English professor you need to take for ENG-1301 & ENG-1302.

Opolicky is a good teacher. The problem is class are lazy and don't want to do anything. You go Opolicky. Is very fair. Helped me endlessly with my paper.

Coming from someone who normally struggles in writing, I loved this class. I was scared by the strict syllabus at the beginning of the semester. However, he gives clear instructions and provides examples of every assignment. He responds to emails promptly and is always willing to help. Follow his directions and this class is a breeze! :)

Prof. Opolicky is a very easygoing and straightforward instructor. I took his online English 1301 class and I can honestly say I wish all English teachers were like him. While each assignment had a handful of reading, it was vital to get an A. Just read the little page or so he gives with every assignment and you'll have all you need.

Wasn't difficult to follow the instructions. He literally gives you everything you need on the examples; all you have to do is change the topic. It takes time, but it is not difficult. He always responds to emails the same day. Not a heavy grader either; I lost a few points for grammar errors, but I still got an A on my assignments.

I took Prof. Opolicky ENGL 1302 class online in May 2023. I really enjoyed the course. I recommend taking his cIass if your not proficient with writing papers. I can honestly say that he cares about his students, and he will respond to your emails quickly. I made an A in the class.

Prof. Opolicky has very strict yet clear requirements for written essays. I encourage the students to read his instructions carefully before submitting assignments. This class is mainly how receptive the student is. As long as you do so, you can certainly pass the class. He provides useful feedback and responds to questions quickly.

Each assignment has clear instructions that tell you how to how to be successful. Read the instructions, get a good grade. Theres 3 essays, a research paper, and a final essay worth 30% of your grade which was just resubmitting an old essay that you correct the mistakes he originally found in them. Not a hard class, just requires time & effort.

Did his 8-week course. Great professor! At first, this class felt overwhelming, but he lays out his strict syllabus. READ HIS INSTRUCTIONS and you'll pass easily! Reiterates everything so you understand what he's looking for. 3 essays, 1 research paper, and 5 "short" quizzes. Responds within a day by email, and helps with any questions you may have
