this professor is funny as hell.. but when it comes to information he lacks it.. its all outta the book all he uses are power point presentations.. but he goes through them reall quick.. hes a good professor if u have a basic knowledge of the criminal justice field.. oter than that hes a good guy at heart..

Dont listen to any of these bad comments. He is a really good teacher and knows what the hell he is talking about. He can teach criminal justice a way only somebody involved with it can. At the same time he can support both sides of any argument and is very non- partisan.

I agree with the last comment... Overall hes a great prof and a person... He is not difficult prof at all... also, the way he teaches is by making you think, he wont give you a bunch of info and not go over it... He will make scenarios with the stuff that he lectures which is usefull...

This guy's the man. I took him back to back in one semester. For Criminal Justice 2 and Criminology. He has a sharp sense of humor and knows his stuff. Midterm, Final and a paper for both classes. Make sure you read the text book tho. I can say without question, he is one of the coolest teachers I've had. **Mental telepathy**

He is the easiest prof in the world!! there's a mdtrm and final along with one research paper. for the paper as long as you use the MLA format and your paper makes sense ur good. never uses the book - dont really need it - just come to class take notes and u will never have to study

Excellent teacher! He made teaching so interesting and enjoyable. I had him two semesters ago and always check up to see if he has new classes avaialable. I would definitely reccomend him. He is a very helpful professor, and loves his job which makes class more enjoyable.

His class is pretty easy and its actually worth attending, considering he has more than enough experience as a police officer and the legal system to make it interesting each time. Also doesn't make attendance a big deal but do try to come as often as you can. I'm not a CJU major but loved the class.

Great professor. He is good in every aspect. Professional, interesting, informative, and also gives you a chance to succeed. I learned a lot of interesting things in his course. In addition, he is patient and often answered questions without making anyone regret asking like all to many professors. I would recommend him to anyone who is unsure.

Mr. Paquette is extremly nice and the professors I had at mcc. his test are based on notes he gives in class..if u go to class i dont see how u would fail. him being a retired police sargent helps even not bc he will give u info thats not in the textbook

Mike is an awesome professor and I learned a lot. He is the retired chief of police in South Brunswick and he was a cop for 28 years. I took him for 123 and I am taking him again in CJU 124. If you listen, you cannot fail.

he is a great teacher definitely take his class .. you are supposed to read the book as he teaches throughout the semester but he doesnt check .. i didnt read one page and i failed the research paper because i handed it in late and i still passed .. midterm.research paper.final are his grades .. easy .. and he gives plenty of oppurtunities for EC

Absolutely the best professor to take for criminal justice at the University of Southern Edison a.k.a MCC. Chief Paquette explains everything perfectly and keeps the class entertaining. Also the finals are not to hard, Read the book! Deffinetely take this professor for CJU 123 & 124.

He was absolutely wonderful. He made learning fun, threw in anecdotes, very understanding. A bit harsh when it comes to grading, but very fair. I think he wants you to push yourself to see what you're capable of. He is an amazing instructor, and others should learn from his example. Wonderful person. Can't stress that enough.

I was told to take paquette by an older student and i did not regret it. I enjoyed the class so much, i looked forward to going to class. He's funny and very knowledgeable. You will have fun and still learn if you take this class.

I took this course after reading reviews on this site. He was extremely helpful with my technical difficulties. He was able to make connections from textbook to real-life examples. He also shares his real life stories to make the course more realistic.

Professor Paquette is a great professor. By far my favorite professor out of all the courses I have taken. He's very informative and has a good sense of humor. You can tell he enjoys teaching and helping his students get a good education. Definitely take him for any course involved with Criminal Justice because you will not regret it!

Had Chief Paquette once and whenever I can want a class with him now. He knows who you are and cares for you. Go to class and pay attention and you really don't need the book, although I'd skim through it. Mid term, Paper, Final. He has some great stories from his time in South Brunswick as a police officer and is the definition of a good cop.

Hands down the BESTTTT professor there is at MCC!!! I've had him for CJU I, CJU II, & Pol 201. His classes are great. He knows his stuff very well & he's always there for you. He also gives out extra credit. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM!!!

his midterm and final were pretty hard you have to legit read every page in the book to pass, does not give any homework just a midterm, final, and a paper so you HAVE to do good on your midterm and final in order to pass. Great professor. He has so many funny jokes and interesting personal stories. Take notes and read the pages he tells you do for the midterm and final and you will pass. I have taken him 3 times so far and he is easily the best teacher I have ever had.

Fantastic professor. I had Professor Paquette for 4 classes during my time at Middlesex. If you show up and pay attention you'll have no problem getting an A. He has a lot of experience in Criminal Justice and he keeps you interested during his lectures.

Great professor! You only have a midterm, final and term paper for grades so participation and class attendance does matter. Very clear grader. Explains lectures very well and incorporates life experiences from his police career into them. Class is easy. Textbook is mandatory and you do use it. I would definitive recommend taking his class again.

This was my first year and this was by far the best class I've ever taken. Prof. Paquette is so down to earth and gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit. He's always cracking jokes and giving real stories to help us better understand the material. I signed up to take him again.

Man, I really like Professor Paquette! He's very specific, a retired cop, and tells us about his experiences when he was on the police force. Everyday you're going to hear funny jokes from him. Whatever you know about the Criminal Justice system, I'm pretty sure he'll be impressed

Took him for Criminal Justice 1 and liked him so much I also took him for Criminal Justice 2. Often times i looked forward to going to his class because of how funny he is. He has really good stories from back when he was a cop and he also was chief at one point. His lectures aren't boring at all and he informs students about job/internship offers.

Pasquale really tries to connect with his students. The assignments are sensible and often based in opinions in response to in class lectures. His tests are from the book, and he does a good job of sticking to necessary information. His lectures are fun, entertaining, he talks like "your favorite uncle". He's a great professor.

Best professor I've taken and probably ever will. He use to be the chief of police in the town I live in and is very very knowledgable in policing of course. Honestly, I love his class. He is the best professor that I have ever met on a college campus by far. He loves his job and tells stories about his time in Law Enforcement. I plan to take whatever classes he has to offer. He is awesome, take his classes you won't regret it. He has inspired me because I want to go into Law Enforcement.

This is a great class and an amazing professor. Because of is experience he has more than knowledge to give. He is supportive of career goals and any questions about policing. Professor Paquette is really respected & uses his own experiences as a Police Officer to teach his students. My class was online but he takes the time to interact with every student in the discussion board, ask questions and he will answer, emails too. Study for the mid-term and final, start work early on your term paper and do the extra credit.

I took Paquette during Fall 2020 for Law Enforcement/Community. Paquette did not really give much work, but he did offer some extra credit. The book for his class is really helpful and when it is time to do assignments youre all set! Paquette does not really do much to keep class interesting, but he still is pretty decent.

Professor Paquette is a wonderful professor, I learned so much from him! If you enjoy actually participating in class, take his class! He has great lectures, especially because he used to be the Chief of South Brunswick. You will leave with a lot of great information, lots of important stuff to know. Raise your hand and participate and you'll pass!

Chillest dude ever

Professor P is such a funny guy. His lectures are fantastic, hands down. He replies to emails quickly, which came in handy when I had a question. He does count participation and attendance, so make sure you participate. If you have the opportunity to take him, I suggest you do. In addition, we had to do a term paper, but he gave us plenty of time.

Profesor P was awesome and funny he makes jokes which made me feel comfortable in class. He does not leave homework but you have to pay attention to the lectures, that is where you are going to get most of answers you need.

Professor P. is great! my major is CJ-liberal arts. there was a couple of assignments not a lot at all. the midterm. and final exam aren't hard, there really isn't any pdf on the notes you will take so just make sure you take as much nites as possible. text books are needed fro midterm and final. I HAD PERFECT attendance and was never bored!

Professor Paquette is extremely knowledgable on these topics due to his background in policing, and while there are really only three big ways to get your grade he does review for every exam and will clarify any questions that anyone has. On top of this he also gives extra credit throughout the semester and on the two exams (midterm and final).

Professor Paquette is such smooth professor. I mean this by the way he lectures the class. this class have presentations, but majority of the time he would speak and use his past police stories as examples to help you understand better which I personally love but, there were only 3 assignments and 2 extra credit. make. sure. you. study.

I love this professor went back to him for 3 semesters. Very funny, and honestly take this class for an easy pass. Just be ready to study and take notes. He does give extra credit, but the only assignments that are given are midterm exam, a project, the the final.

Professor P is fantastic - he makes the material engaging and is always there to support students. I found Unstuck study really helpful for study prep, along with attending lectures.

Prof. P is by far the best teacher-figure/professor I've ever had. He is genuinely hilarious, personable, and makes understandable examples daily. My attention span is usually horrible, but he makes the course incredibly interesting and easy to pay attention to. All you have to do is pay attention, take notes + study them (no homework).

Proffesor Paquette is one of my favorite teachers, he's really respectful, make everything seem easy, he's very good at explaining things, and I love his humor. He's this type of teacher that shows how much he loves his job with his actions.

Awesome lectures, not at all dull. If you're worried that politics may be disputed in the course, don't worry. Professor Paquette makes sure all debates are well-mannered and respectful. He's the best professor I've had so far, and that's saying a lot, since I'm homeschooled. Very good professor, would take again if it wasn't already filled.

His lectures are the best and provide real-life experiences from his time as a law enforcement officer. Class was fairly easy, with one midterm paper and two examinations (make sure you review your notes and book for those). He gives opportunities for extra credit as well, so there are plenty of chances to get a decent grade in his class. A+++
