Michael is an amazing teacher. He is personable and open and yet he challenges every fiber of brain mass you may think you have. He loves questions and will also help you individually if you need it. If you have no idea or even if you think you have an idea what software design is Michael will help you get there and beyond.

Michael is a lovable spaz. I had been fearing this class forever, but Michael made it easy, fun, and just the right amount of challenging. If he gets in a "mood," you will get an earful of non-programming related ranting, but it's all in good fun. He's a nice guy and a goofball.

Mr. Passalacqua is a great instructor he uses real life examples to make his class interesting and ties in humor when ever possible. He approaches different methods and ways to explain and give out information. He definitely goes the extra mile for his students.

Micheal is amazing. The lovely thing about him is the time to ask Q and if you have any Q.

With a topic that can be as dry as Computer Software design, its great to have a funny teacher such as mike. Be warned, if you are easily offended, you may want to consider taking another teacher. His humor may become dirty/ not P.C. at times.

An amazing class. I've wasn't sure how I was going to feel about programming, but he puts a spin on it. He draws you in and your hooked. He covers the material well in class so if you have no experience you will be able to follow along. Looking forward to more of his classes!!!

Canceled class far too often with little to no warning. Otherwise pretty good instructor. Tries to be humorous and engage everyone in the class whether they want to or not. Sometimes says things that might offend some people.

Michael is a very good teacher. He takes a very complicated subject matter (to some at least) and breaks it down so that it is very understandable. He made class fun and it was one of the most enjoyable classes I've taken at PCC to date.

This class was super fun! I haven't had this much interest in a class since taking my first accounting class over a year ago. Thank you for making my last class at PCC a fun one!

Engaging instructor who wants to make sure his students understand the concepts. He's always available to students and encouraged us multiple times to contact him if we had any questions. The assignments were challenging, so don't take this class if you want the easy A. Take it because you want to learn JavaScript.

His lecture is boring. I study business, but I need to take him because of the transfer requirement. He does not care about attendance. Homework and final are online. If you do not have any idea about constructing program(C++), this class will be very difficult and take lots of your time to do the homework. However, if you do know, it is a easy A.

Michael did a great job teaching CIS 122. Being a Network Admin. major, I didn't consider myself to be very strong at writing code and was a little apprehensive going into this class. Michael made learning how to write software a lot easier than I thought it would be and his lectures were both informative and fun. I highly recommend this Instructor

Online class. Not easy, but instructor is very helpful. Interesting material. Spends as much time "with" the class as possible, but faculty duties take away from his availability. Met or exceeded set standards for response to questions. Read student feedback and fixed problems! Would take another class from him.

I thought he was great and engaging. Has a good sense of humor. He cut classes early often or just straight up cancels class, which was fine because you don't feel like your missing any information that wasn't already covered. He makes himself available via email and gets back pretty quick. I hope to have him as a teacher again

Michael goes out of his way to engineer very application-centric lesson plans. His lectures are always fun, and he really encourages class participation. The classes are all about the assignments, with little to no tests or other tertiary grading measures. You WILL know how to code by the end of the class, but be prepared to work for it.

Great instructor. Many instructors teach a topic well, Passalaqua does this with JS, but goes above and beyond by teaching you how to think to become a better programmer. Although this class is offered online, I strongly suggest taking on campus. You'll get so much more out of the class. No text, free online reference material. Fun class too!

Michael was by far the worst instructor I have had at PCC. He doesn't seem to like teaching. In his syllabus he wrote he may not grade assignments-he doesn't tell you until after you complete it. Whines about not having a helper -makes excuses-but doesn't accept ANY late work. Not friendly or helpful-in my opinion. Confusing. Dropped his class

I read the syllabus and immediately tried to replace this class. Took it anyway. This guy is such a whiner & so lazy. The entirety of the class materials are complete and online on day one. And yet, he has no time to grade assignments, check the message boards or attempt to ask questions in email. I learned but not bec. of any effort of his.

He enjoys teaching and is great at it. I suggest class on-campus, as he teaches concept AND then interactively works a problem with the class, answers questions until you get it. He provide examples to help you with assignment too. Follow instructions thoroughly, read short notes, and ask questions you will do fine.

His syllabus says his class will be as intense as boot-camp, and will be the hardest thing you'll ever do. Just ignore that, this class was ridiculously easy. If you've taken any programming classes before (even just one on the basic logic of programming) this will all be review (and if you ask him he will say otherwise).
