worst teacher ever. has his own company and his own website that are total BS. fake company that he swears by, and he makes you turn all assignments into his website which never works... horrible at explaining assignments, and he's not very good at helping either... DON'T TAKE THE CLASS.

Worst teacher ever. Very UNHELPFUL and his made up company website never works, even though all work is to be turned in there. If you tell him the site is down you're still supposed to find a way to turn your work in. He's never prepared for class and he's not a great teacher. Frustrating to sit thru 2 1/2 hours of him speaking.

DO NOT TAKE HIM!! He is not helpful at all. Gets frustrated when I would try to ask a question about the projects. He's very picky about grading but his instructions are unclear. It's a must to have a good group that will work hard.

Professor Perry quite frankly, likes to hear himself speak. All of his power points are outdated, boring, and quite frankly, unnecessary He is very vague about the projects. Attendance is not mandatory, but it is necessary for the Excel case. If you miss one of the days during the team projects, you could be removed from your group without notice.

Assignments/projects in this class are very unclear, hard to follow and make you want to pull your hair out. All pointless. He talks way too much and all powerpoint presentations are outdated and boring. Too much of grade is decided by group project. Not easy to speak with. Not recommended. Find someone that will not bore you to tears.

Going to class gets you an A. You just have to play of the internet to stay awake. All of his assignments, he just wants the format correct. He could care less about the information shared. Mid term and Final are over nothing learned in class but are open book, which is the only time you use the book. take it with friends so you get in a good group

He's an idiot. If you ask him a question in class, he'll probably answer rudely or push it aside. Theres about 5 group projects you have to do, which he grades harshly and I feel does not pay any attention to. In addition to whatever he requires on your rubric for your project, he will take extra points off for things he did not require or specify.

Stay away from this professor. Will waste hours of your time on pointless busy work. IF you have trouble, he expects you to teach yourself from random tutorials found on the internet. His class is absolutely painful to attend because he just talks at the class from outdated powerpoints. You will learn nothing from him. Avoid at all costs.

This is absolutely awful. I am taking him for an online class. Doesn't respond to emails. When he does respond they are very short answers and you have to pry to get any info out of him. He doesn't teach anything. He doesn't give enough info for assignments and put you in groups an online class. AVOID HIM COMPLETELY!

I took this class online. As others have said, avoid him! He doesn't grade things in a timely manner or respond to things in a timely manner. He is completely unorganized and does not do anything to help teach,even for being an online class. Other friends with different professors do not have to do HALF the stuff he is making us do. Horrible.

Worst professor ever. Literally didn't learn a thing. Class lectures have nothing to do with assignments. Deducts points for reasons not listed on rubrics. Unorganized d2l. I sit in the back and can honestly say that 90 percent of the class is on facebook or buzzfeed for the entire class period, myself included. I do not recommend.

Worst professor I've had yet. He is incredibly unorganized and doesn't grade things in a timely manner. He gets upset if you point out things he is inconsistent about. Does not respond to emails in a timely manner. Faculty and other professors at KSU have even said he is a terrible professor and that you are out of luck with him

Do yourself a favor and do not take this man. He is not organized, uses very dated material and takes forever to grade the assignments. His projects are really lengthy and labor intensive. Basically all you need to know is that you should not take his class.

Awful professor if you can even call him that. He doesn't get grades back for MONTHS. His assignments are convoluted. His grading is all over the place. I took an Information Systems class with him. Easy and interesting right? WRONG! The group project was the worst, and his instruction are terrible. And forget about asking questions, Perry answers

He also does not give instructions on assignments that are clear; so if you have to take him, then get ready to learn everything out by yourself.

This professor is very disorganized and unclear. His assignments have vague instructions, he doesn't sufficiently explain what he's looking for, and he takes an unreasonable amount of time to answer emails. I learned nothing. That said, I got an A, so it wasn't a terribly hard class, just very annoying. I don't recommend him, though.

Do not take this class. Find a better teacher.

This was hands down the worst experience I have had taking a class at KSU. ALL of his instructions contradict them-self. He does not respond in a very timely manor unless you heavily complain. There was a group project which was fairly easy. The quizzes are all easy. His 'assignment' aka projects are what gets ya. His directions are unclear!!!!

This class is FILLED with busy work. The content made me feel like I'm in middle school and he's incredibly anal about grading. Instructions make no sense because it's 5 paragraphs of redundant or contradictory information. He definitely thinks his class is the most important one you're taking.

I tried to take this class online and it was the worst decision I ever made with this professor. Every single person in the class was confused on the first assignment. Just to turn it in was a six page instruction sheet. DO NOT TAKE ONLINE!!

Don't take this class online unless you want to be swarmed with confusing projects every week. His syllabus and cours schedule is just as confusing. I'd recommend taking this class in person.

I'm sure Professor Perry is a nice guy, but he is a very bad professor. Lots and lots (did I mention lots?) of unnecessary busy work and meaningless group projects. You do not actually learn anything about Information Systems. Multiple group projects and an Excel project that have zero correlation with the material. AVOID IF POSSIBLE

If you dont care about your grades, like unclear assignments, like 6 different instruction pages that contradict each other, like stressing for days per assignment, like getting low grades after putting in hard work, like having links and instructions that DONT WORK, like getting assignments changed half way in the week, then choose Michael Perry.

He's probably a nice guy irl but he's just a terrible, terrible professor. Confusing & pointless projects, no instruction, no communication. This guy has absolutely no idea what he is doing. You will learn nothing about IS, but instead learn how to waste time! For your own good and the sake of your physical and mental health, avoid Professor Perry.

Michael Perry is an awful professor and shouldnt be teaching at KSU. He teaches one of the most boring classes and its a big waste of time. He purposely failed me on an assignment that should have been a 100. Dont take this class!

Save yourself and don't take this man. No guidance, gives horrible instructions, meaningless projects, gives out bad grades for literally no reason. Expect to be assigned a project and have 8 different "instruction" pages that don't actually tell you anything! Avoid him. I'm serious. Otherwise you will deeply regret your decision.

No guidance, literally like 7 different instruction pages for each project (no I'm not joking) and none of them work, silly projects, ridiculous amount of goofy work, group projects over and over, failed several assignments for literally no reason. Seemed like a pretty nice dude, but his teaching skills and class setup were... lets just say subpar

Don't take if you have the option. Rubrics for assignments are super detailed, yet vague at the same time leading to confusion. Cost me a letter grade for a small detail on my final project.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! I am about 3 weeks into this course and it is more difficult than my three other classes COMBINED. Get ready for excruciating weekly assignments PLUS homework on McGraw Hill that has no clear instruction or due dates. If you want to live in constant distress by all means take his class.

Professor Perry is terrible at planning and does not take into account students having any lives outside of IS2200. Projects every other week, 1 or 2 quizzes every week, 3 tests, 1 group project. Incredibly stressful DO NOT TAKE.

Literally the absolute WORST!! long assignments every other week with no clear instructions, emails regarding any questions to HIS assignments make no sense, and expects you to have no life outside of his class. Highly recommend taking someone else

Perry is lucky he has no office hours because if he did they would constantly be full of students trying to figure out what he wants for each project. Projects, every other week, are somehow detailed yet extremely vague. He posts the project with YOUTUBE VIDEOS on how to complete the project and not even youtube videos he makes, he is not teaching.

Seems like a nice person. Very tough grader. Does not explain assignments or projects well at all. Marks points off for little things. One thing I really hated as someone who works full time is his assignments were all due on Friday at 9:30 as opposed to almost every other professor that offers submissions until midnight on sunday. DOES NOT TEACH!!

Please do not take his class. he gives unrealistic times for quizes and tests ( answer10 long questions in 12 minutes). Feels like teaching is his hobby. The structure of this class is so bad between the week 2-7 over 25 people left. Most assignments/help are hidden so he constantly has to email the class showing them how to find things.

The course has an insane workload for no reason. Quizzes and tests are just memorizing the textbook. SimNet activities with over 100 steps that make you feel like a robot doing mindless work for hours. Professor doesn't actually teach anything.

Horrible professor. The work in McGraw was really easy, a quizlet for everything. There is a semester group project in which you have to find your own partners, and the instructions are not clear and all over the place. Try to pick partners and send emails to peers early to get a good choice. Could have gotten an A easily but missed a few quizzes.

Unclear copy and pasted instructions that are all over the place. Will send plans about the week halfway through the week and seems like he doesn't care. Slow answering emails and way too many assignments. Seems lazy, idk how this guy even got hired. Crazy workload and things are due at 9:30pm and not midnight. If you can, AVOID taking Perry.

Changes due dates at the beginning of the week to be a week sooner????? Decides he messed up when posting the due date and then doesn't let you make it up when you miss it. Course schedule and D2L calendar still states the assignment being due later than when he changes it to. Unclear in directions and is unforgiving. Don't take if u want to smile.

Easy class. Awful prof. My first time on rate my professor because it was necessary rating this professor so people is aware of his teaching skills. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AL ALL COST.

This is my first rate on rate my professor just because he was so awful. I took his class online and some assignments are due at 9:30 on fridays randomly then others at different times and it gets hard to keep track of. He assigns an unnecessary amount of work at once.

Please save yourself from this disaster. Worst instructor I have ever had. Never taught anything. No prerecorded lectures. Only an excel project. Toughest grader ever. Unclear grading criteria and rude to multiple students in emails. I beg you AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I have never gone out of my way to write a review but Perry is genuinely that awful. We're not even halfway through the semester and I have spent quadruple the amount of time doing all of his work than any other class, not to mention the ridiculous group project he absolutely will not give any clear direction or care about. DONT TAKE PERRY EVER.

The class can be a pass if it's the only class you take for a semester. Other than that, his class is extremely time consuming. He assigns loads of work that is expected to be completed in short time which interferes with my other courses. He expects us to be on top of our group project, individual projects, and module readings/quizzes all at once.

This guy does not care at all about his students at all. Gives 50's on every assignment and assigns feedback that is no help whatsoever. He acts like this is the only class you have. There is way too much work for a 3 credit hour online class. Do not take this professor I'm telling you.
