he's strict but if u pay attention, class participation and pass all exams u should be fine. everyhting is from the book.

He motivates students to learn. And he is very nice and kind. If you attend the class on time and pass the exams, you will get a good grade.

In the beginning of the class, I thought he was inconsiderate, rude, and conceited. But he turned out to be great! He gives extra credit, he does fun business games where you can get prizes! his exams are not easy but straight from definitions in book so study! He ended up giving me a A and the last day of class told me I was a great student! =]

All tests from the book. Definitions and multiple choice. strict on attendance and will lower your grade for it. Gave me an A. have to read and should use practice tests. Inspired and a good guy as well as a good role model. Participate and be respectful and he's really cool. great!

he teaches in power point.... don't really explain the subjects... if you want a good grade you will have to study the book by yourself.... he does give you chance to do presentation in class for those who needs to pick up their grade.his test are moderate. but it is true he is a great teacher..but if u study u will pass...

Philogene was the best business professor I've taken at LaGuardia. I took his intro to business class & he gave great lectures every single class. He is very big on entrepreneurship as opposed to most teachers who encourage you to graduate and get a regular 9-5 just like them and be broke for the rest of your life. Philogene is tough professor!However we are in college and we should focus on learning instead of what grade we get! I enjoied his class!!It was challanging,not like other classes where you get 20 review Qs and 10 of them are on the test.It was a hard class,however his inovative ways of teaching were excelent.I read a lot and learned even more.

Professor Philogene is very funny. His way of teaching opened my eyes up. I wasn't interested in marketing before, but I decided to major in it because of his method of teaching. One on one, he is very helpful. He is willing to go the extra mile, if you are willing to put in that effort yourself. GREAT PROFESSOR.

A humorous professor who is very knowledgeable. he uses powerpoint presentation for all his classes. although very clear, you WILL need to read the book if you want to get a good grade in his class, as all of the questions on the exams are taken directly from the text. but fear not, he is a very easy grader and always grades on a generous curve.

if you are smart (which at laguardia is rare) then this class is a piece of cake. if you are average or below average intelligence then you will need to actually study the book before going to class or taking the tests. even after that you should still get an A since he curves up 2 full grades for everyone. yes... a C is an A. and a D is a B.

Inspirational.... not a boring class... you will have to study, but its rewarding. By taking his class I learned a lot but in a different way any of my other professors ever taught me... he gives extra credits if you make presentations... he gives tons of opportunities to get an A all you have to do is deserved it.

An awesome inspirational Professor. I don't understand why people (those who don't study but want to get A!)rate him bad. He encourages students a lot to study & shows the path to shine in practical life.He helps you to be creative and really wants you to succeed. Full of positive energy, inspiring, genuinely funny, and knows Marketing. My opinion, but he's probably one of the top professors in the Business Department. If anything but that he will try to reach everybody (not just the easy ones). Relies heavily on internet (Connect), excessive with chapters covered in six weeks but plenty of extra credit!

Prof. Philogene is a superb professor. His class are always fun, and there's never a dull moment. He uses PPT slides to teach mainly, so if u want to get a better understanding READ THE BOOK! He is always energetic and even though his exams (all online) can be a bit tricky he does gives you the opportunity to earn extra credit. Take his class!!

He is really good,if you do some blogging, youtube video you can easily get an A for sure...lots of extra credit.try to get those...i got 19 points as extra credit,and before the final many of us got 85.he knows how to make you work.do ur work.and get an easy A

I just finished this class with Prof.Philogene and I loved it!He not only teaches a great Management class buthe adds Real World touches and Motivation for his students to be the Best ... He is tough but He reaally does care and prepares you to be a Manager ! I recommand taking any course that he will Teach.

He is an amazing professor. I took him for spring 2013. I'm not gonna lie his test is hard, but if you just read you should be good. He helps you a lot and motivates you to become a manager one day :)

Tell you the truth the man knows what he is talking about all you have to do is come to class read the book do the assignments and parcipate for extra credits if you study you will pass he will help you all you have to do is show motivation. Please pay strict attention.

If you come prepared to class, read the book and participate, you will definitely pass. Prof. Philogene will take his time to help you pass the class. His classes are very interesting. He makes learning interesting. I will definitely take another class with him if offered.

Great guy, he'll do anything to motivate you. He really enjoys when people participate and gets very emotional and excited when he teaches. I gained the skills to make my own website and generate revenue online just from this one course. Do it right and the class pays for itself!

The guy's a comedian, but he knows what he's talking about. Shows us all of the ways to do business, and create a presence online. He pushes students to engage in online interactions and communication, in order to get good at it. Not a purely theoretical professor, but great for ambitious students.

Enjoyed his marketing class. If you do your work and are engaged in the class you will get a good grade. He is very helpful and has a lot to say. He's one of the best professors in LGCC

The only notes I ever took in his class were his hilarious quotes. Reading them over, I can mentally map out the lectures he gave. He uses powerpoint for his lectures so read the book and do the online chapter quizzes if you want to pass the exams. If a less vulgar Dave Chappelle taught a course, it'd probably be like this.

Best teacher I've had. Hes so easy to pass if you listen during class. The textbook is kind of optional if you get the learnsmart. Hes also really funny and makes the class fun.

His lectures are the best, and if you study the class notes you can pass with great grades on tests. He is the funniest guy ever! Never boring.. and there to help anyone understand. I only messed up because I worked so much at the time that I barely got to study but he's the very best for business.

Okay here's the deal about Prof. Philogene. If you're a serious student who wants to learn, does the work, comes to class on time, acts professionally in how you present yourself then you will have an easier time than another student who comes in late every time, doesn't do the work, doesn't pay attention, and generally slacks off. Do the work!

Very aggressive speaker, does an excellent job in getting students to engage in group projects. Provides extra credit. Work hard and it will be rewarded. Exams are a bit unconventional but reasonable. You don't need to buy textbook for this class since exams won't be focused on it save your $$$.

Test is challenging but he's the best professor I've met here yet. Also, he gives a lot of extra credits to make up your grade. Don't give up early.

Mr. Philogene is great at teaching. I have his class on Saturday for four hours and it does not feel like a drag. He explains the chapters and gives good examples so you understand the material. If your a good student taking school seriously you will enjoy this class and do great. It's up to you! Take advantage of all extra credit given!

I think this is one of my hardest class I have ever taken. It's a lot of information but it's really useful given by Professor Philogene. He'll give you secret links to websites like "how to make money", "crypto currency", and if you're a graphic design major use "Fiverr, up work". Yes, the tests are hard. Just study and you'll do fine.

I got a grade higher than what I felt like I worked for. Make sure to study for the quiz for all the chapters and you'll be alright. One of my favorite professors here at LaGuardia and easily the funniest one as well. Take this class if you want to learn something, gain knowledge and resources for this field and enjoy funny professors.

I failed the final exam but I did everything else he asked. He saw my effort and understood and passed me. Just put effort in everything you do and hes will pass you. All the reading was a headache! Every weeks quiz was 10 questions max so you need to read those chapters more than once! Good luckk!

(Be prepared to use Cengage In his class), Hilarious and its never a dull day. All lessons are carefully explained in class, and is pretty open when speaking one on one in his office hours. Just be sure to keep up with the deadlines, and use the test prep on cengage; and you're guaranteed to pass

Professor Philogene is one of the best professors to teach. He's very passionate about his work and very well informed on the latest most current business practices used today. I really enjoyed his lectures. He may seem like a tough guy and strict but he's a very nice and fair person as long as you pass most of the quizzes you're fine.

No lie! Philogene is a really tough profesor. His quizzes can be insane but I guess its my fault for not studying seriously, just study and you'll be fine. I failed the final quiz and would have failed the class but he gave me a passing grade. He's not a bad guy, just a tough grader. Outside of teaching, he's a cool guy. And he gives extra credit
