this guy is awesome, great teacher will not hesitate to help you at anytime during the class, lots of chances to get a better grade and very clear on what hes talking about

Prof. Raleigh is so cool. He has the best sense of humor as well (French jokes). Tests are easy, and you can bring a page of notes (typed both sides) for them. He even tells you to bring a magnifying glass if you must. Extra Credit, and tests are based on a curve.

Good guy. Good teacher. Good class. Good jokes? Any doubts about taking a lab class for your csu/uc requirements then take him and one of his classes. Im a english and history person, hate science and math but liked his class and got a b in it.

Kind of a corky guy. Stupid but funny jokes. Is a Political Liberal, which was great for me. Grades are based on Test scores. Lectures are mostly power points and interesting. Good class.

He's a really cool guy. Just a current event and three tests which are based on powerpoint presentations. He usually finishes early. Most of all, he's extremely nice and genuine. It seems he actually cares about you and your grade. With a minimal amount of studying, an easy A.

this is the first time i have ever been interestd in any sort of science class and it is because this man is awesome!

I took his lecture and lab class over the summer. HE is by far the easiest teacher. Leacture class 1 paper, Field trip to the zoo (observe monkeys). You can use class notes on tests. Lab Class final is on bones very easy to memorize. Sometimes he gave the answers to the assignments in class. He's also a very nice guy and easy to understand.

Very good instructor. Keeps your attention. Makes you want to learn more about the subject. Has a GREAT sense of humor. If your looking to take a class in Anthro. He is a must.

it's important you go to class because a lot of class points are from the labs and homework. One test which is the final is not hard if you know the material. The homework answers are right out of the book, you usually get out early. He gets frustrated with questions though. I got an A, but know the material for the final its a series of lab statio

I loved the class! He is funny in a cheesy sort of way, loves to talk. Always very helpful! Just take notes on his powerpoint presentations and make a "cheat sheet" that he lets you use on tests.

I love Prof. Raleigh! I have taken him for Anth and Anth Lab. Easy class. You do have to study but he is very helpful and accomadating. Very approachable and I really felt a learned a lot from this class. You have to go to class but he usually lets us our early. Definitely take him!!!

I found the tests hard, but he will curve them. You better study even though you get to have notes during the test. There's no telling what will be on the test even if he tells you. He's pretty laid back about turning in assignments.

Probably the best teacher I've had - took M01 + M01L together (recommended). Very helpful, jokes a lot, very personable, gets to know your name. Lays it out well to get a good grade if you study for tests and do his small projects. I looked forward to class weekly & learned a lot - would take him again. He's extremely friendly and quite smart too.

Michael knows everything under the sun about biological anthropology. He is willing to help you understand no matter how long it takes. He is pretty easy and offers lots of EC and lets you bring pre-prepared notes to class for the tests and final. Each week he asigns a project (three questions out of the text book). class was always over by 830!

Extremely nice and easy teacher. Curves all tests and gives extra credit at the end of the semester. One easy zoo project and weekly 5pt projects that are usually only 3-4 questions from the book. Recommend him for anyone!

At times he is funny and nice, however, I do not take kindly to rude teachers. He is very rude and condescending when you ask him a simple question. He will take out his anger toward the few students that text, talk, etc. on the innocent, straight-A students like myself. I would rather take a slightly harder teacher than deal with his attitude.

Professor Raliegh is great. He teaches really clearly and goes over everything that will be on exams before hand. Easy projects every week and an easy zoo project at the end. He accepts late work too. Tests are a little hard but you can bring in notes so it helps. Awesome teacher!!

Excellent teacher, he knows just about everything there is to know about bio anth. He does a great job of answering questions, but goes through the material a little fast. I would recommend using a laptop because he puts his ppts online, and you can follow on your computer as well as on the projector. Great class, great prof. Highly recommended!!!

wow great professor! took the lab at night he let us out as soon as we finished our assignment class was from 7-9:50 normally got out by 8 or 8:30. He's really nice test are kinda hard so study. always come to the lab you work together too which is great!

Raleigh was sweet, best Lab to take. Easy A if you pay attention. Even he realizes that he's rambling some times and stops. He's really helpful just DON'T TEXT IN HIS CLASS, otherwise we'll make you feel stupid.

Best teacher I've ever had! Respects students to the max, however doesn't like it when students talk/text in class. Take notes and do the reading and you'll get an "A".

I took the Lab class with Raliegh and it was great. He is very clear on what he expects upfront. Attendance is important and texting is a definite no. Just follow the lab instructions, do the workbook exercises, and study for the midterm/final (lab practicals). I'm an English major and I did just fine. Easy A.

Pretty easy class. Do the workbook, go every week, and study for the quizzes using notes he gives you, and you'll be fine. Four quizzes (lowest gets dropped) and one final. The labs are fairly easy, you can expect to be out anywhere from 1.5-.5 hours early each class. Good teacher, take him!

I took his biological anthro class and loved it! He is very funny and easy going he has his lessons then once finished, dismisses the class early. He is a fair grader and usually rounds up the test scores and also drops your lowest test! I would recommend him in a heart beat!

I think Michael Raligh is a great teacher. He is pretty straightforawrd. Everyday he goes through powerpoints, and lectures a bit. It was a 3 hours long class but he let us out 1 1/2 hours early every week. 4 tests (he only counts the best 3), about 8 assignments (only 5 points each), and a final. I recommend him!

Good professor! Grade is based on a project, the final, and 3 quizzes (there are 4, but only your 3 highest scores will count.) The book is helpful but not required. if you pay attention, take notes in class, and review powerpoints at home you will pass!

He was super strict in the beginning of the semester, but got friendlier. I didn't learn a whole lot from him, but the class was SUPER easy, you just need to show up. I took it at night and it never lasted the whole class. There were 4-5 15 question quizzes and he drops the lowest, the final took some studying but he always allows notecards.

I loved Dr. Raleigh. The assignments were interesting and fun. I didn't have to study much because I took the lecture class with Messinger, which his class pairs with VERY well he even recommends it. His tests are not hard and you can use notes. He had so many jokes he had us cracking up. He takes the time to get to know you too, Take this class.

Professor Raleigh is probably the best professor I've had at Moorpark. He is so kind and just makes learning about Biological Anthropology so fun and easy. His tests are easy and you are allowed to bring one sheet of handwritten notes to each quiz and two sheets for the final. I would take this class again.

Had him for the lecture class and the lab. He's a pretty cool guy. Always lets class out early. Lectures aren't very informative (he basically reads from PPTs) so make sure you buy the book to study but he lets you use a full page of notes for tests in lecture class and a notecard for tests in lab.

Overall, a pretty good professor. Tests are easy if you read and study. His lectures are not that helpful but he is really nice and helps if you ask. It all comes down to whether you study and asks questions.

Show up to class and you will pass! You have to try to get a C in this class. He is such a gem, and always lets you out early (especially in the 7-9:50 pm lab). Quizzes are difficult even with the cheat sheet you are allowed to use on them. You get to use a cheat sheet on the final as well which rocks.

Though a sort of disheveled old guy, Mike is such a kind, patient, and unexpectedly sarcastic professor. He really goes overboard in helping his students, and has made the structure of his class an easy A. He not only lets you out early, but there is virtually no homework and he lets you use your notes or book on just about everything.

Raleigh is a great professor. Sometimes the lectures can get slow, at times. Not long lectures then goes straight into lab work. Got out of class early all the time. Goes over important info before tests. He made biological anthropology really interesting.

Prof. Raleigh has been in this business awhile and it shows. His class is very formulaic, almost boring, but he is a great guy. Just be prepared for the lectures, which can be hard to get through when you take the night class. He has several quizzes and a final, none of which are too difficult. He also never goes the full 3 hours, so that's good.

By far one of my favorite teachers I've ever taken. He gives hella opportunity to raise your grade by end of class chapter questions as well as easy extra credit. His tests aren't crazy whatsoever, you just need to be familiar with the material and you are allowed to bring in a FULL sheet of notes & Lastly, he rarely ever keeps you in all 4 hours!

All i can say is " I just loved him" Super Kool!! Kinda like a hippie, great teaching skills, so kind, really cares about your success, great grading scale curve. What else can you ask for? Really ! Take his class and you will do great. Trust me !!

An amazing professor. He has such a passion for Anthropology, which makes his lectures more interesting. Prof. Raleigh allows one full page for every "quiz" (it's the length of a test). He also gave our class two extra credit opportunities, both being worth 2%. Raleigh is just an over all awesome guy, with a lot of passion for what he does.

Super easy class! Awesome professor, he cares about your success and as long as you do all the work and show up once a week, it's almost a guaranteed A. 3 quizzes out of 4 count to your grade : you get a full sheet of notes and they are only 15 questions. Be respectful and he will help you succeed!

This lab class is very easy, as long as you show up and put some kind of effort into each assignment. He lets you out early almost every week. He is a very nice professor and wants to help his students. However, he is getting quite old which might contribute to the class getting boring sometimes. Take this lab class if you want a relaxing, easy A.

Great Prof. Old fashioned, but in a good way; values respect and timeliness. Despite his age has a vibrant personality and sense of humor. Quick lectures, easy assignments, and always lets students go as early as possible. We only stayed for the entire class once the whole semester. Most of the time got out an hour early. Great guy.

Professor Raleigh is great, he really tries to make sure everyone succeeds. The labs are a bit difficult since its online, but he's very accessible and will answer any questions. I also took his regular Anth. class and it was also very easy once you adapt to his teaching style. Just don't leave assignments to the last minute and you're fine!

Prof. Raleigh is by far one of the kindest, most caring professors i have had in my 4 years at Moorpark. He LOVES his students and always sends little thank you messages for attending zoom. Weekly quizzes that are easy if you follow material. He is really one of a kind, so happy i took his class and met him! Very simple, easy to follow teaching!
