This prof is great. Comical style to teaching is his strong point. He made a boring class fun, especially with his personal anecdotes.

really fun to look at, makes coming to class alot easier. also very good at illustrating points. seems a bit big-headed....maybe he's been reading thinks he's all sexy now. lol. either way - i 100% recommend this prof.

Some of these comments seem to be very immature and negative maybe because they recieved a poor grade. Dr. Riddell is a great professor who always was nice and helpful whenever I went for help at his office. He made this course very enjoyable and interactive. Highly recommended.

Taught Fri Health lectures. Really funny and enthusiastic. Knows his stuff. His exam questions are tricky though. Interesting class even at 9:30 in the morning.

BEST, BEST, BEST prof I've ever had!! He has a great sense of humor and explains incredibly well. He relates the course material to current events to it's more interesting. Exams are fair and straightforward... no tricky Qs. You'd enjoy any course you take with him, I promise!!

Very enthusiatic and passionate when conducting lectures. Excellent at communicating information to the class. He is funny and can be random at times during his lectures. He is a very positive guy and truly believes in what he does. Listen and take notes during his lectures and you will do well. His exams are a lot easier than kuks I find.

Cool prof. Explains things clearly. His tests are fair. I won't say his exams are easy but if you do the work you will be fine. He isn't trying to trick you with questions. Plus he's not bad to look at lol

Dr. Riddell is one of the most caring professors I know at York. He is such a nice guy and always tries to make his lectures fun and engaging. He answers all your questions. His jokes are really funny and the man knows what he talking about. He makes kinesiology much more fun. He is one of few professors who will actual teach and fun to learn.

Best professor out of all three for Kine 1020. He makes class interesting and his exam part is easy if you study.

He is a great lecturer but I think he is a little full of himself. I have heard he isn't the best person but don't let someones real personality get in the way of having a good class. Highly recommend him :)

as a first year student he was oen of the best profs i have ever had. he is so funny, inpirational, cares about the students, his lectures are aweosome and you will never get bored in his lectures and he is clear also if you listen and focus sometimes you can find out some of the quetions that he will asks you in his exams overall great teacher

He has the facial appearance of a bald eagle for some reason. His course is great and tries to engage students in group discussion. Highly recommend the course.

In my opinion, Riddell is a great prof. he isnt boring or monotone like some profs at York and he makes the material he teaches fun to listen to by being open and sharing personal experiences that help you remember certain topics.

He is a great professor and to do well on his part of the exam you have to read his content well. his stories are engaging and he puts effort into making the content easier to understand.

He is a great professor that explains his content very well. His slides are organized but can be improved. His test questions are fair but not easy. Sometimes he does not record the lectures because of technical difficulties that only happens for him!!!

He has a very unique teaching style. He incorporates a lot real-life examples to solidify the concepts of endocrinology in class, while at the same time delivering some really good humour. He also allows for a lot of participation/discussion in the course, which I think a lot of upper year science courses are missing. Excellent course & great guy.

He has a great personality and loves to help students as much as he can. Test questions are quite difficult because they're more conceptual and there's a lot of concepts to understand in this course. Lots of jokes and stories make his lectures easy enough to pay attention to. Super likeable, especially because the content he's teaching is what you'd expect from Kin and Health sciences, as opposed to KINE1000

One of my favourite profs from my first year in kin! He keeps lectures interesting, makes you want to show up at 8:30am. The material can be a bit tough if you don't keep on top of it, but just go to every lecture and study throughout the semester. His exam questions are very fair and straightforward. Would definitely take a class with him again.

I can say for sure that he is easily one of the best profs ever. He makes the material interesting to learn and his lectures are great too. Posts lecture recordings and slides too if needed.

Really enjoyed this class and professors. As long as you study hard twice a year (Midterm and Final) and stayed caught up on lecture notes you'll do well. Enjoyed Riddells lectures the most as he was a person that connected with students and brought humour to different lectures. If you slept in and couldnt make it to 8:30 the lectures are recorded

Very interesting class. He motivated me to be in class so early even with the long distance from home to school.

Dr. Riddell is an amazing prof. He makes students first year to university very exciting and fun. He always made sure to share personal stories while teaching, which helped students like myself remember course content. Overall this class is very manageable and enjoyable, but make sure to study hard as the midterm was worth 38% and final was 40%.

Riddell is an absolute gem. He was the best professor out of the entire KINE 1020 teaching team. When it was his turn to lecture, I felt so relieved. He really knew how to get his point across without crowing the slides, and made the material relatable

One of the best professors at york. Treats students like human beings rather than robots. He's always willing to help and accommodate students when requested. Course material is heavy but tests are fair if you put in the work. It's a fourth year phys course, its obviously not going to be a walk in the park. Super interesting material!

Dr. Riddell is the best prof in the kinesiology department. He treats students like people, and is always willing to answer questions. He made online school bearable, and I actually enjoyed listening to his lectures and going to his live class. I wish he was the head of the undergraduate department! All in all, awesome guy, take the class.

BY FAR THE BEST PROF AT YORK! Overall a great person and prof and he's very kind. Dr. Riddell gives amazing lectures and teaches like he's having a conversation with his students and doesn't just read off the slides being presented. Even though the course is content heavy, he does a fantastic job and explaining everything. AMAZING AMAZING GUY!

Riddell was one of the most real profs you may come by as he is truly funny through his arrogance and does not play nice but still manages to engage the class and be a good lecturer. He says everything as it is and he was one of the reasons why I passed this memorization-heavy course.

Prof. Riddell made my first year much easier for me. He takes things slowly and makes sure to mention what is on exams and what you need to know throughout the lectures he teaches. He also cracks me up with his horrible dad jokes during the lectures but that's what makes him even more likeable. Who doesn't like a prof who can teach and be funny

Had him in my first year for Kine 1020. He's passionate about what he teaches, cares about his students and explains the material in a clear and precise way. To this day, he's still the only prof that made me not want to look at my phone while he's lecturing. Might honestly be the best prof at York.

Great Prof. I transferred out of York but he was definitely the best professor I had and he made his lectures entertaining and enjoyable.

Funny, approachable and kind professor but I found his slides to be repetitive and all over the place. There were also a lot of diagrams which he asks not to memorize, so it was difficult to tell what he wants students to study. He is very open to regrading tests if you bring up an issue to him.

Amazing lecturers and 3ppl teach this course together, so not sure who writes exams but questions were average (closer to hard) but the whole course doesn't have so much work. only a single mid-term and a final, no extra midsem work.
