very very good in lecture, he explains every thing thoroughly. The exams are based on the material covered in class, meaning that if he doesn’t cover a certain thing from the book he will not test you on it. His exams include short answers, mcq, essays and matching. He is not that good in lab. Don’t expect him to explain anything in lab!

He likes you to figure out things on your own according to syllabus but he is available via phone and after class

He'a a brainiac and tends to be chauvinistic but is likable. Gives first impression of hardcore but really is soft. He wants u to work hard and learn on your own. If u come to class and work hard, he will help during lab. Talks very fast but welcomes recorder. NO CELLS, EATING, DRINKING OR GUM. Will drop u from class after 2 offenses.

Encourages group studies, walks you through the process to help you answer your own question. Is crazy insane when it comes to cell phones.

This is a hard class so if your not interested in showing up and studying forget it. Rintz wants you to learn, he does everything in his power to help you pass this class if you show the INITIATIVE. Bring a cell phone at your own risk. I thought he was one of the best teachers I've had in the science department, he knows his material.

This guy is sharp and VERY fluent in current knowledge in the fields of biology, medicine and American law. He takes no prisoners and does not acccept excuses. To the best of my knowledge he is a doctor of biology and a attorney. He demands much of himself and his students. He explains the nuances of biology COMPLETELY. You learn the big picture.

If you want to learn something, this is the guy to go to. Comes on strong, but is really soft once you get to know him. He likes chocolate cake, but not the frosting and he likes coke slurpees. Study and you will do fine.

Rintz is an awesome instructor. come to class take notes and whatever he says is going to be on the exam its there. bring him a slurpee and he will have a good day. i totally say choose RINTZ.

I had this professor for 233/234. He is very good. He IS hard but if you are going into an AH program, get used to it. Record the lectures and then STUDY his notes. Commit to memory ANYTHING he says will be on the test. As for lab, he WILL help you but ONLY after you try to find the answer for yourself first. Bring him a slurpee or a bagel!

This is a HARD class and Very HARD in short sememester. Dr. Rintz is upfront about his expectations and he does not cave. Does let you record his lecture, loves slurpees. Hes gets through info very fast but likes to review in class the day before the test. He will FORCE you to learn info thoroughly.

This is a very hard class but I can't imagine it being easier with any other professor.I can't say enough good things about him.I think that the poor ratings before were students who came for the first week and then dropped.He is so pro-student & goes out of his way to help you not just pass but really learn.Bring him cupcakes! Very tough teacher but it's college and a hard class if your going into medical field you should expect a challenge. He offers extra hours and 3 phone numbers to contact him anytime. Despite his hard appearance he is about teaching and helping students! The attorney in him gets straight to the point with no BS. Wants you to try your best though.

This teacher makes you work for your grade. His test are really not that hard as long as you bring a tape recorder and study directly from your notes you will not fail. Bring him treats and coke slurpees for extra credit. Loved this teacher hes a riot. Great personality and very intelligent. He's not arrogant can come across as intimidaing. Study!!

I think he was a hard teacher, but he definately was very smart. He likes to use essay questions on his test and they are somewhat difficult. I stressed out quite a bit about this class. In the end, I was happy with my grade, and I think he helped everyone of us out to pass the class. Definately record his lectures, test are based on them.

He is tough and his tests are not easy, but if you take good notes you will be ok. Record all lectures, tests are based off of them. If he says something will be on the test - IT WILL BE ON THE TEST! He is very knowledgeable and very pro student. He will do what he can to help you pass, but you have to work hard for it. I would recommend him.

Come your first day with a recorder. Take notes off that. You'll get an A in lecture. Amazing speaker, doesn't miss a thing. He wants everyone to do well but you have to put in the work. Lab is up to you but he will assist you if needed. Wish I could take him for 234.

Dr. Rintz is well informed of the subject matter, and taking his class means that you will get your money's worth. I was fascinated by the new information that I acquired during this class. Although it may seem astonishing, but you do have to study the material and pay attention. His tests are 95% based off his lectures so be prepared to take NOTES

Dr Rintz is the best A&P professor at HFC. He is incredibly intelligent on the subject matter, and gives real world examples regarding the topic, which is very useful for aspiring medical students. He runs a laid back class (no gum or phones though) and likes to have fun with his students. A+

Hard class, after all it's meant at a weed-out course for students going into medical careers. You must study and apply the information to pass the tests. 98% of his tests come from the lector. If you are not up for a challenge find a different professor. Ps he likes to call on students to test there knowledge from previous classes.

If you are looking for an easy A this is DEFINITELY NOT the class for you. Dr. Rintz knows his subject matter VERY WELL and will make you earn your grade. The plus side is that he makes himself available to you and truly cares about his students and passing them. If you want to truly learn something then take Dr. Rintz.

Took Bio 234 during summer, it was not easy! But he is a very good teacher, he knows the material inside and out!! And he is very fair. I can honestly say after taking this class, my knowledge base has expanded and I can confidently move forward to the next level.

Best professor to take BIO 233 with because he is very educated on AP and makes the class very interesting. Doesn't lecture off the book, just record lectures and study every thing off of that. His sense of humor is the highlight of the class. I definitely recommend taking Dr. Rintz.

Dr. Rintz is absolutely amazing. He is a wealth of knowledge, and a very enthusiastic lecturer (funny too!). He is not one of those "straight from the lecture slides" professors. In fact, you'll certainly want to show up to lecture if you plan on getting an A. He gets straight to the point, lets you know what you need to pass. I love this guy.

I took Professor Rintz for BIO 234. Great teacher! However, you have to make sure you attend every lecture. Exams are based solely on lectures. Only negative is that it takes 2-3hrs to write lecture notes from recordings. He started to give out lecture guides midway in the semester and it helped a lot.

Took his class in the spring and his teaching is hard to adjust to at first. There's no homework or quizzes, which causes the exams to be weighted more. Only buy the textbook if you're a diagram person, otherwise the majority of exam content comes strictly from lectures. He's helpful in answering questions and will hint at the big point exam q's.

Easier lab exams, tougher lecture exams. Will give big hints to difficult material to pay attention to for exams. Textbook is used more than 233, but focus on lectures more than the reading, the level of detail he goes into is important. Encourage him to use handouts to make lecture easier to follow. He honestly does his best to help everyone pass

He was one of the best instructors I ever had. I returned to college to take classes for leisure. He is very knowledgeable . He cares about his students. He goes out of his way to make sure they have the tools they need to learn. I have been telling everyone I know to take him. I learned so much, and have used what I learned even at work.

Tells you the biggest point questions for the exam during lecture (about 30-40 points worth each test), his tests are based off his lectures which i record and listen to while studying. did not find it hard to get good grades at all. most the students that complained came late and didn't make any effort to pass. final isn't cumulative

The best way to do well in Rintz's class is record the lectures and study solely off of them. I never opened the book besides for visual reference; he does not do power point or anything. He likes participation so be ready to answer questions. Tells the big point exam questions so make sure you know them. No homework or quizzes. Just study to pass

He tells you everything you need to know to pass. Bring a recorder and a laptop and just keep up with his lecture. Organize and study those and you will pass no problem. I was doing this class side by side with nursing school and passed with a high B. Not a "show up and pass" class, but strongly sets you up to succeed in nursing in schools courses.

Dr. Rintz clearly knows his stuff, and he expects his students to pay attention. But he always emphasizes what will be tested & even tells you the point value, & also what to know to get extra credit. Just take good notes & don't wait till the week before exams to study. He is super knowledgeable & makes himself available for questions anytime.

I failed anatomy and physiology twice prior to taking him, and he helped me understand everything. He gives great lectures, in lab youre on your own but he walks around and quizzes people and/or answer any questions. He gives you time for questions to be asked. He creates his own tests and gives you a review day to help you. I enjoyed his class!

Dr. Rintz is GREAT! Put in the work & you will get an A in this class. Record his lectures & you will pass by just studying that. Exams are straight forward. He's a great lecturer. Mr Rintz was one of the best professor Ive had he made biology interesting, he pushed us to study, it wasn't easy to get an A in his class but study the notes, record his lectures and you will do good and for lab go to learning lab and memorize the words and you will be more than fine.

professor Rintz was a great teacher and tried his best to teach the material, He is very hard the first few weeks maybe as a way to weed out the students who want easy passes but if you just stay in the course and study, you'll pass. there's 3 lab tests and 4 lecture tests so study those because no homework. show up to every lecture.

the best professor I had BIO233 it's tough class and a lot to learn he provided us with lecture notes also he told stories and examples related to the materials which also helps remember the materials. There are 4 lecture exams and 3 lab exams for his lecture exams it is all from the notes and for lab everything from the lab book. He got nice shoes

Dr. Rintz is interactive and hilarious! Your grade is based off exam scores so make sure you thoroughly STUDY his lecture notes. I found that recording them helps alot and I rarely used the textbook in his class. He doesn't teach much in lab but he is always happy to help out.
