i like this class

Greatest teacher EVER. He really knows his stuff. Tests are easy, and based entirely off of lecture. The ammount of take-home work is small, and very do-able. He teaches controversial topics from a non-biased viewpoint so as not to offend anyone. I don't think anyone in this class has below a B average.

Professor Rose is a very intelligent and interesting guy. His lectures are great, and he teaches as if he were at a University. As long as you pay attention in class and study notes, you'll do great. Don't bother buying the book.

Very energetic and intelligent professor. Passionate about psychology and it rubs off on you. Tests are based entirely off of class lectures (powerpoints, which he adds info to during class), so get them from someone if you miss any classes. Some quizzes on Fridays. Some homework, but do-able. He's genuine, I liked him and would take him again.

great class. attendance is not mandatory, but you wont want to miss a single class. explain the subject to where it is easy and interesting. also very funny.

Only material from in class notes and powerpoint are on the tests and quizzes. A few homework assignments and a semester paper. Very helpful teacher. Will work around any problems you have.

I really enjoyed his class. Hes very quirky and LOVES psychology. You dont need the book at all. Test are based completely off the power points which are posted online. There are quizzes and homework but they arent extremely hard. He gives extra credit. You wont want to miss a class.

Teacher is awesome. He loves what he does and nothing is boring in his class. You don't use the book at all. All the questions on the test are off the powerpoints. He gives you equal amounts of homework and quizzes. And extra credit. TAKE HIM. he is very understanding. Best teacher I have had yet.

I took this class online with Prof Rose as the mentor. As online teaching was new to him and most students he was very understanding of the problems involved. Although there were problems that he couldn't fix at times he helped make up for these issues with other assignments. He is very understanding of students need and all in all a great prof.

The BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! I loved every minute of this class. He is funny and loves what he's talking about. I couldn't have asked for a better professor. Class was always interesting and he is so funny. Take him if you want to laugh hysterically and learn at the same time. Best ever and always willing to help you. What a GREAT GUY!!

He's a little goofy, but it makes him fun and easy to pay attention to. He thinks about things in a strange way sometimes tho, which can be confusing when he gives tests. But other than that, I totally recommend taking a class with him. :)

Excellent Professor. Knows exactly what he is doing. He is vivacious and facetious during his lectures. I strongly recommend him, however, do not expect an easy A and expect to work a lot!! he makes it fun anyways!

I am now on my third class with Professor Rose. He is an awesome teacher, very enthusiastic and humorous. I absolutely love the way his courses are laid out.

Be prepared if you take him for any short mester's. No tests, BUT... 4 personal presentations, one 7pg paper, and one group presentation in 3 WEEKS! Its a lot of work in such a short time. Would have probably been better with tests. He is BRILLIANT though and you will learn a ton! Great teacher & I got an A, just don't think it will be a blow off.

AWESOME PROFESSOR!! Took him for a honors class and he is EXTREMELY helpful with putting you on the right direction for transfering. Hes passionate about what he teaches and makes it fun! I highly recommend him! He will help you with anything you need in this class!

Professor Rose is awesome, however, I did not like his Life Span class. It was very unorganized and hard to follow. P. Rose even admitted that he did not like teaching Life Span as much as his other classes. I made an A, but it was ALOT of work!

Love Prof Rose. He makes learning fun. He interjects fun stories that are relevant and ask what we think of the reading materials and for our opinions. Tests are from his slides(provided on his website). I would take him for any Psyc class.

Amazing teacher! Loves what he does and makes every class enjoyable. I always leave wanting more. He gives take home tests which are lengthy but other than that, no real homework. He always works with his students and loves each and every one. If I had room in my schedule, I would without question take him again.

Taking him for Honors Lifespan. Amazing professor. Reasonable expectations in terms of work required, extremely passionate about psychology, extremely knowledgeable about psychology, very knowledgeable about everything (politics, current events, etc.), very funny, very class-discussion oriented. You would be a fool not to take one of his classes.

A bit of a narcissist, but you learn to love him for it! This i smy 3rd class with him, if you take one, you WILL take another. Take home tests are horrible, LOOK UP the answers and challenge him on it of you get it wrong, he is tricky that way... He will make you crush on him at first because he is just a cute little nerd that way!

Rose is very intelligent and shares this with his students through an enthusiastic personality. Learning was made easier with an environment that?s all about the desire to learn! His tests, or ?celebrations of knowledge? are tough, but if you put in the effort you are sure to pass! My love of Psychology has only been intensified by Rose.

His test reviews are tricky. I failed the first two tests but I managed to pick up the slack and pass the last two. He's very engaging. And he knows his stuff. I ended up with a B, but it was not easy. He's a cutie too. :)

Took online class. 1 chapter and one test every week, no midterms no finals, no surprises. Great class learned so much. Prof. is helpful whenever you need it.

I took his web honors class. Loved it!! He is very helpful and wants his students to think for themselves. Radio lab podcasts used were awesome. I am better prepared for advancement now thanks to Prof Rose. I got an A and earned it. He is firm but fair. He is understanding and very clear on all his assignments. Great honors class. A real super guy.

TAKE HIM! He is organized, clear, extremely helpful, and kind. Due dates are at the end of the semester not per week, bonus- life happens. He wants his students to be successful, honestly can not ask for a better professor! Weekly reading, assignments, tests, discussions- Not difficult, not a breeze either. Do work, Get an A. If you get lucky enough to take him, you'll absolutely adore him. His passion for teaching and the subject shines through and he's just an all around great professor. He's amazing to watch work and if I turn out half as cool as he is, then I'll be happy. He respects his students and every class is a fun ride!

Mr. Rose is one of the best college professors I have had in a while. He actually makes me want to come to class. He is an amazing teacher. He explains things thoroughly and the tests are really easy .(He never puts anything on the test you haven't covered). He is a really nice and understandable guy and is really willing to work with you sou pass.

Easy grader, not too much homework (a discussion once a week and a 2 page (EASY) essay every 2 weeks maybe), and he will except some late homework. Pretty easy going guy!

Professor Rose was amazing. His lectures are far from boring, makes learning psychology exciting! He is very leanient when it comes to homework. Do not skip class, a lot of his test questions come straight from lecture and not on power points. I would definitely take Professor Rose again if I could.

I took this class during wintermester, and he was amazing! Incredibly clear in what he wants you to know for the test and the discussions online. If you need any help he's there and will help. His lectures are not boring, and are very engaging. Was able to relate the material to the real world which i liked a lot. I would definitely take him again.

I took Prof. Rose's online class and he was amazing! Answered my emails very quickly, was super organized, and very helpful. He would periodically post jokes as well to remind us not to get stressed out. It was my first online class and he made everything very enjoyable and easy to understand. Great professor!

Took this online,best professor! Responds to emails quickly and is very helpful when you want to know why you got things wrong. Assignments and tests are crystal clear! Very easy class as long as you do the work and the assignments he has listed weekly. Never makes you feel like you can't ask a question; very understanding.

Hands down my FAVORITE professor I've ever taken. His class is super interesting and you can really tell how passionate he is. He responds to emails quickly and he's hilarious. You do have to do well on the tests and study, but pay attention and take notes and you'll be fine. He's absolutely amazing and I'd definitely take him again.

Favorite professor at Collin so far! I recommend taking his class. He's funny and approachable ;) I enjoy his lectures too.

I love his lectures, took him at El Centro on Sat class but i know he teaches most classes at Collin. He gave real examples and made lecture very funny. His tests are mostly from his slides. Sad i cant take him for PSY 2314, and he's not single lol

He is genuinely interested in psychology and he makes learning fun. The classes were really interesting and useful, I'm taking 22 pages of typed notes away from this one class. He teaches a human sexuality class and some of his examples show this, the lack of awkwardness makes it hilarious. I plan on taking 2 more classes from him, for fun.

I took his hybrid wintermester hybrid class and it was an easy a! No textbook,he didn't take attendance, and is a super easy grader. There are 5 2-page writing assignments, 5 discussion boards and 2 tests that he curves and gives a study guide for. It sounds like a lot but it's not, I'm not a good student at all and I made a high A in the class.

I really enjoyed this class. I took it with The LEAD option so i'm not sure if that effected the curriculum. Professor Rose was a lot for fun.

Its not really a lot of work. You have discussions, quizzes from the book, and some other little things. But honestly can be done within a month. He responds to emails quickly and seems to care. Definitely recommend.

This class was amazing. It was one of the most fun classes I've taken. Rose gives full credit for doing discussions by the end of the semester (plenty of time) and offers extra credit. He curves tests because he doesn't get through everything so you get bonus points for getting curved questions right. He's so understanding and if you try he'll help

Best psychology professor ! He makes the lecture really fun and easy to learn. Not a lot of work- just discussion which he gives plenty of time to do. There even a test review and powerpoint up online in 1st week of school. The test is a lot similar to the review.

EASY A. Professor Rose is super laid back and tends to get side tracked during lecture :p Puts all of the power points online. There are only two tests and the reviews give you the answers. Discussion assignments are a breeze (and can be turned in late!). You won't learn much that you probably didn't already know, but it's a fun class :)

I would definitely recommend taking Professor Rose. Taking a human sexuality class can be intimidating at first but Professor Rose creates a comfortable atmosphere in the classroom in which you're welcomed to ask any questions and participate in interesting discussions. It was an overall fun and interesting class.

Professor Rose was an amazing professor with interesting lectures that contained even more interesting life stories. If you wanted to comment during class you definitely could but in not that was fine to. You can tell genuinely cares about his students. I wish i could take him again but can't since I'm transferring to UNT.

Professor Rose is super easy, energetic, and entertaining. great GPA boost, the only is graded are the tests, if you go over the tests with him afterwards your grade could jump as much as a whole letter. Homework is all completion grades, so you basically if you get 60's on the tests you could still get an A in the class.

Lots of assignments, yet he accepts them all the way until the last day so you have plenty of time but dont procrastinate too bad. No quizzes or tests except for a final and midterm. His lectures were the highlight of my days, he is a master of lecturing. He is honestly the best professor i have ever taken so i highly recommend!

Easy A. All 5 tests and 5 quizzes online with power point notes for each chapter. Didn't read textbook once. There are two discussions per week and three extremely easy papers (all you do is listen to a podcast and talk about your opinion). Professor is very nice and responds quickly to emails. Just do your work and you can get an A+.

By far my favorite professor I've ever had. I'm taking another class of his next semester just for fun. You won't regret taking him!

I took PSYC 2314 during wintermester and got an A. Professor Rose was funny, always had his Starbucks with him and made the class enjoyable. He speaks fast, but he also acknowledges that he does. Sometimes he wonders off with his lectures, but not too bad. Like another person said, you won't regret taking him.

Professor rose is absolutely amazing, please for the love of all that is holy take his class! Not only does he make sure that your questions are answered in class, he's funny and if you have any issue what so ever he is very easy to talk to and will for sure help and work with you. Make sure you go to class because his lectures are the best as well

Takes what can be an uncomfortable conversation and makes in fun and engaging. Has a good time teaching and enjoys learning from his students. Good sense of humor, considering the subject. I only wish the in-class discussions had started sooner.

I took his honors class, but it is so easy to fall behind if you're a procrastinator since there were no due dates on any assignments. The way the assignments were laid out on Canvas were a little confusing at first, but once I emailed him, he cleared everything up! Professor Rose is a caring professor and is willing to work with you.

I can't say enough good things about him, he's an absolute gem of a person. So much passion for teaching and it's very evident. I look forward to his classes every week. Just take him, you will not regret it. He's also hilarious even when he's not trying lol.

I'm about to be a Junior and Professor Rose is by far the BEST professor I've ever had. Be prepared to have fun and enjoy every day in his class. You do need to show up, but you leave class in a better mood then when you walked in. The few assignments he has are easy, if you do them you get an A.

Professor Rose is absolutely amazing. His grading criteria is beyond clear, and I absolutely cannot explain how much I appreciate that as a student. He does not have exams in this class, but there are one or two writing assignments each week, and mastering training homework which is really easy, and really fun. Things are always consistent!

Relatively easy class to pass. I took his online course- Assignments include 2 main discussion posts every week along with 1 response to another students post for each discussion. Very clear grading criteria/layout of the course. There are no tests/quizzes, just a few single assignments outside of discussions. I am taking his PSYC2314 class too. :)

Took his online class. One of the most organized courses I have taken. He makes it very clear on what you need to do. Would be difficult for you not to make an A in my opinion. Highly recommend him!

Professor Rose was outstanding at giving lectures. He moves a bit fast paced, but his exams were super easy and straightforward (basically the review he gives is the exam). I took him for a Wintermester Lifespan and Development lecture and highly recommend you take his class! You'll learn a lot, as he is very passionate about teaching. :)

Prof. Rose is the funniest professor I have ever met! He tells you what will be on the four tests & what to expect from them. Everything is online. There are 4 separate assignments/homework due throughout the semester & he also gives you extra credit options. If I had time & money, I would take all of his classes.

Took his Honors class during Maymester and let me tell you it was totally worth it. Professor Rose is the best . It was a lot for maymester, there was about 2-3 things due everyday but it was worth it. Don't procrastinate

The easiest A you'll ever get... Took his online course. No tests or exams. His course consisted of all discussion posts, and were actually very interesting and easy to respond to. He posts articles on theories or concepts, required 3 paragraph (5 sentences each) responses to the articles.

Professor Rose is your professor who is ALL OVER THE PLACE... which I loved. If you have the option to, definitly take his lecture NOT online. His lectures in class are HILARIOUS. The lectures are mostly stories about studies which help remember material. It is a hard class at time and the homework is tedious but if you do them, they are completion

He is SUCH a great professor. So funny, makes class go by fast, gives examples and stories.. amazing. He's the best like I loved this class. I never used the book except for access code to do the online hw (extremely easy). He gives reviews for the midterm and final and they're spot on. I'm so glad I had him as my prof.

Professor Michael Rose is very genuine and respective. I took this class Fall it was an amazing class no stress If you want to understand psychology take this Professor you never regret.

Took his online Maymester class while working full time. Did not make us buy the book. Everything was powerpoint lectures. 4 quizzes, discussions, and two short essays. left all assignments open until last day. Totally achievable if you manage your time. Would take his class again!

Awesome, Professor Rose is an awesome guy. He cares for his students, he wants them to understand the concept beyond the class work. Be ready to do the work and all will be well.

Highly rec taking his honors pysch course if possible. Small class size, more personal, and fun! We get to discuss fun topics. Work load is three assignments per week, not difficult at all. Easy grader!

You have at most two assignments a week to complete by Sunday. He explains in the modules how he would like everything to be written or done. There are attached videos and/or notes for you to read to learn and understand the topic. Professor Rose is amazing at communicating. Just remember to do the assignments and you'll get an A!

His lectures are hilarious. You need to show up and take notes. There are power points but all of the info is not in there. There are online lectures for some of the power points. Tests are worded in such a way that you have to know the material.

Fabulous professor. Lectures are interesting. no homework. Test reviews have everything that will be on the test.

Rose is one of my faves. Doesn't grade attendance, gives ample warnings for quiz days, doesn't grade harshly as long as you are attentive and interested. Quizzes were worded oddly, and on material you wouldn't think you'd be quizzed on- so read the books! Books are $4 each- cute comics and super informative. Lots of terms, but he explains it all!

He is the best professor I have ever had. He has the videos explaining the lecture that made us feel like in classroom. The videos are interesting. U will learn a lot from them. He gave HW, just finish them, U will get full credit. Study the review before taking the tests, you will get high scores. I took A&P before I take him. He is amazing!!

Professor Rose is a cheerful, easy going instructor. He communicates clearly on assignments and expectations, quickly replies to emails, always engages with his students in class, and has ample office hour time. The assignments aren't overkill, and he gives comprehensive exam reviews. I would highly recommend him to anyone taking a psychology class

Professor Rose is an awesome professor! I have debated on taking one of his other classes. His grading is very fair. He is very passionate in his lectures which makes listening to them so much easier. You do have to actually study, but it is not hard. Highly recommend!

Professor Rose provided the information, and was up to the student to apply themselves. It was a fun and easy class. He had me engaged in every thing he taught with fun psych facts and interesting stories. It is pretty obvious he is passionate on what he teaches, therefore, had me just as passionate on learning. Winter term, do the workpass.

I love this professor, his class is so easy but I take a lot away with the assignments he gives us. they really make you think its not hard. attendance really doesnt matter neither does participation. he posts the slides on canvas so its all good. :)

his powerpoints are straight up the test, he doesnt give you extra information on the powerpoints, everything there is what you need to know! his tests count less than the podcasts which is amazing considering the podcasts are the easiest things ever. he did require attendance before coronavirus shut down the school. hes also lenient. 10/10.

I took Michael Rose for a fast 2-week Maymester course. He is a diamond in the rough. A generous grader, he covers interesting material, and he is intellectually curious about psychology. The workload was manageable even for a Maymester. He posts all of his video lectures online and has several discussions. Highly recommend taking his course.

Easiest professor for this course. Most of assignments consist of discussions. As long as you read the assignments related to discussions and show you understand the material, you will get an 100% on them. His class contains a midterm and final that together only account for 25% of the grade. He provides a really good study guide for both.

Take this class- really chill online class. Weekly assignments consist of an essay and notes, there is a midterm and a final exam. Power-points are interesting and clear, essays pertain to what we are learning and are interesting to write. Professor Rose seems nice and caring! No complaints.

I took the class online in Summer. It was a lot of work, but that's expected of a 5 week course. It was really fun though and I learned a lot. I'm glad I took the class. Recommend.

Prof Rose assigns various lectures through Youtube and Podcasts to make sure that you do not get bored. His assignments are clear, easy, and informational. I learned a lot without stressing about my grades. He is easily accessible outside of class and genuinely cares. He also opens up assignments so you can complete early if you need to get ahead.

A professor cannot get any better. Rose has an enormous amount of empathy, and it shows in his course. You get to focus on being intellectually curious and exploring the material instead of stressing about your grade. If you wonder what college would be like if the professors actually tried, take this professor.

Took the online honors course. Does not require a textbook, instead using entertaining yet informative videos. There are a lot of small assignments but it is manageable. He is very knowledgeable on the subjects, and he makes learning fun.

Easy peasy. 98. No textbook. Watch YouTube videos and read easy website pages. Learned more than I ever did in a textbook class. Don't waste your time taking this anywhere else. Easy class and actually learned a lot of valuable info. You can finish the entire class in 4 days.

Took for Maymester & it was obviously a lot of work, but definitely manageable. 1-2 assignments a day plus a ton of lecture videos to watch. The class is basically a bunch of discussions and 4 tests. The tests come straight from the PPT slides. Not a stressful class, would 100% recommend!

Workload is a little heavy for the first month but lightens up greatly after. 1 discussion post & 1 podcast post a week, then just 1 discussion post after first month. 1 easy paper. 4 VERY easy tests with study guides. Great lectures and you will need to listen to them to make the class easier and the work go quicker. Fun and easy class!

Professor Rose was great, had the most amazing lecture was funny and caring, responds to email really quickly, tests were easy, we had a final and a midterm just read the PowerPoints, all in all just put a little effort and you will pass.

The easiest class ever, and I never say that about any class. I took Roses's online course for 1301 and never had any issues with him or his assignments/grading. It mostly involved discussions but was an easy 100, and the test was an open note, so another easy 100. He records his lectures, so that also helps. If you need a PSYC take Rose!

Very doable psych class with great opportunities to control the outcome of your grades

Professor Rose is a literal angel. I feel super saddened that I will be spending my last 2 weeks of this spring semester with him. It was great having him as a professor. I looked forward into going into class because of him. Hes super cheerful. 10/10 You will do JUST FINE. Just study his study guides and you'll pass.

Just take him. My semester in his Life-Span Growth and Development course isn't even finished yet, but I already know I'm not finishing his class with less than a 98. Max 2 writing assignments per week. VERY easy, just read the articles. He has weekly lectures too, but you honestly don't have to watch them to do the assignments. Enjoy!!

Professor Rose is a great psychology professor! All of his assignments were very easy and straight to the point. If you follow his instructions clearly on assignments and do well on the tests, you will get a easy A+. Definitely recommend taking him!

One of my favorite professors!! I recommend Professor Rose so much!! I will say his assignments are mostly kind of like essays, like five sentences and four paragraphs, but honestly, I HATE writing but seriously enjoyed writing his assignments. They're primarily podcasts and readings, but they are super interesting!!

This class was exceptionally easy! Assignments were mostly in the form of short (really easy) short papers. Easy grading. A mid term and final exam with REALLY great review guides! As long as you actually do the assignments and turn them in on time this class should be a no brainer!

This is class is the easiest class you will ever take. Especially with this teacher. I just took his maymester class and it is 1-2 assignments daily. You could finish in like 5-7 days. He teaches very well and explains things perfectly. Grading is super easy just follow his rubric and you will get 100. The tests are super simple, there is only 4.

He is very compassionate about what he teaches, so it might seem like he's moving very fast, but he makes sure that no one is left behind and doesn't make you feel dumb if you ask him a question. All in all, he's a really great teacher and very interactive with students.

As long as you follow all of his guidelines for assignments, you'll get a 100. Most assignments are short essays due every week, no specific word count. He also gives thoughtful feedback into your submissions. His class isn't hard to pass at all, just follow his directions and you'll get a good grade.

I took PSYC 2301 online with him and highly recommend. No online meetings, each week we had a 20-sentence discussion post where he would provide sources to write about. No peer replies required. Sometimes we would have an assessment, but they were pretty easy, and a lot of the questions were on Quizlet. 10/10

Very good professor we would have weekly 20 sentence assignments that were pretty interesting. His feed back was helpful and helped give different perspective on things. His tests are pretty straightforward questions and no camera.
