he is good at making time out of class to help his students understand the material. it was only a Little hard sometimes, and he's very straight forward and uses a lot of funny and helpful analogies. (but he Does talk about 'billions' of years ago.hmm.)

Great instructor.

Not a very good professor for the reason that he always uses the same words like "totally cool" and "right on." However, he is helpful at answering emails even though he just says "don't sweat it" and when you get your score back it has minus points even though he said "don't sweat it."
One of the best! I once sent him an email in the wee hours of the morning and was shock to see his reply within minutes.
Good teacher, very fun to be in class with, but insanely hard tests. He gives enough extra credit to still squeeze by with good grades, though. Very helpful!
Covers material in a humorous manner. Although his class is incredibly difficult. He gives you all the information needed but than bumps it up come test time. The extra credit given out was a fantastic help that kept me afloat. Great teacher!
If it wasnt chem, i'd love this class
The best, most dedicated teacher I have ever met!! He wants his students to succeed. That may not be evident by his insanely difficult tests, but he really just wants us to know this stuff inside and out. He knows SO much and wants to share it all. He takes the time to remember something personal about every one of his students. GREAT!!
Top quality professor. His letter of recomendation helped me get into a top medical school. Class is difficult beccause the subject is difficult, and if it is not made challengings, I would not have been able to do as well on the MCAT test as I did.
Great teacher! He is really into chemistry which is a little annoying, but, he is extremely knowledgeable and is very willing to help. His classes are hard, but, do all extra credit and always turn in problems sets on time and you'll be fine.
Dr Russell knows his stuff. If you want a down to earth teacher, willing to go the extra mile whether it be in class or out, he will help you succeed. By no means is his class sugar coated, it has its challenges but the challenges in his class go very well with the lab or lecture for that day. --Best Chemistry Teacher I've ever had--
Michael is an amazing teacher! He's very helpful and great at explaining things. He makes class and lab very enjoyable. ...lots of extra credit opportunities too!
Amazing teacher. Really nice guy. Kind of an oddball. He keeps chemistry intersting and helps you understand the material by using metaphors and tricks to help you remember everything. HIGHLY recommended.
A ton of workload becomes very overwhelm within the 2nd week of class. Lots of extra credit opportunity but without it the average person will not pass. Very helpful and even podcasts which are very nice. But overall his coursework takes up WAY TOO MUCH TIME. The homework for the class takes FOREVER. Tests are WAY TOO HARD ALSO.
Nice and funny but too hard. Got a decent grade but had to work way too hard for that.
Really knows his stuff!
Super nice guy!
Dr Russell is awesome. He works really hard to make sure that you know whats going on. His class is hard, but his lectures are very fun, full of him taking his "Prof Hat" off and making a vague reference to using/taking LSD or alcohol. I had him for 221/222, and if you arent on top of it, you will have a hard time. Do the extra credit!!
Amazing guy! A lot of material to cover!!! A lot of extra credit opportunities. He is always willing to help, "never thinks a question is stupid"lecture is never boring!! Exams will make you cry! I have seen it happen!
Amazing teacher really easy to learn from him and he has a hole lot of ex credit! i got like 64points in chem 222
Russell is an over-caffeinated stand-up quality teacher. He is an extremely nice guy, but his tests often aren't. He is always willing to help and explain when he has time in-office or through e-mail. Make use of his extra credit and learn equations and concepts from front-to-back.
I took CH 151, 222 & 223 from him. He's nice, funny, helpful, goes the extra mile but also HARD. Test will kill you, make you cry, NOT kidding. Extra credit saves you!! DO ALL the extra credit! He KNOWS his stuff, he will help if you ask but you have got to WORK HARD in these classes! He roots for his students though, he wants to see you do well!
Dr Russell is a great teacher, always up beat and positive and will always encourage his students. His tests are challenging but far from imposable and best yet he offers a world of online worksheets and prior exams to study from. He offers as much material as any student cares to make use of. It's great to have you here Dr Russell.
Awesome professor! Good personality, easy to listen to. Try's to relate all the material to everyday life. Horrible quizzes and exams. They are very hard, and require alot of work. But, he always offers extra credit to make up for it. Good guy. I'm taking him next term.
Dr. Russell is the best professor I've ever had. He wants his students to succeed. He's incredibly fair, and funny and really knows his stuff. I wish he could teach all my classes!
Super fun teacher with with so much information... this guy knows his stuff. I just felt his expectations were out of wack. Quizes and exams were really tough, no notes or help sheets such as polyatomics, diatomics or formulas to help... its a first experience chem class and its as if one is expected to have taken lots of chem in the past.
Dr. Russell is very enthusiastic about chemistry and tries to impart that enthusiasm to his students. He's always willing to answer questions (no matter how stupid you think you sound) and he wants you to be very comfortable with the material. The only criticism I have is his organization of notes on the board. His process is hard to follow.
Dr. Russell is by far my favorite instructor ever, and just happens to teach my least favorite class at MHCC. The class and the material are genuinely difficult and require a lot of dedication. But if you're willing to put in the effort, his helpfulness is seriously without limit. He's the only teacher/instructor I've ever added on Facebook.
Awesome, very helpful and willing to answer any questions.
Had Dr. Russel for the full year of gen chem and he was amazing! Very helpful and understanding of life sometimes getting in the way of school. Just don't get on his bad side!
very helpful
Best science teacher I've ever had. Extremely helpful and makes sure all students understand the material. No complaints at all.
Very helpful. Replying your email within an hour or two. All of the lectures are online. Many extra credit opportunities. Very harsh on grading, especially quizzes, lab reports, and exams.
Very good professor! His powerpoints are full of good visuals and his lectures do a really good job of getting to the core of what needs to be learned. Always willing to help. Answers questions in class w/o ridicule or making you feel dumb. Very useful website for class and great communication. Lots of extra credit available! Take advantage of it!
Very good professor! His powerpoints are full of good visuals and his lectures do a really good job of getting to the core of what needs to be learned. Always willing to help. Answers questions in class without ridicule or making you feel dumb.Replying your email within an hour or two. All of the lectures are online. Lots of extra credit available!
Russell is great! You won't regret taking him. He works at making you successful, enjoys being a teacher and knows his subject. Take him!
His class is hard because of his exams. I took all 3 gen chem courses. Ample extra credit is given to balance this. Must read labs before class to understand why you're experimenting. Russell is committed to excellence of his students. He brings unmatched energy to lecture that can't be duplicated by other teachers. I highly recommend him.
This instructor is OK, but he's very hard. Harsh grader. Mark you down a point for one little thing. There is no 0.5 or 0.25 of a point. His exams are hard and some questions are not even discussed in class. 25 multiple choice and 4 essays questions. 4 points for each M C question, which is disaster.
His tests are really tough! He offers a ton of extra credit which will definitely save you from failing. He's a really nice guy! Even if you bomb the tests, if you do a bunch of extra credit and actively show him you're trying your absolute hardest, he'll pass you. If you slack off, you will fail.
This techer is very hard. His exams are full of wacky questions. Never discussed in class. Very harsh grader. Imagine he marks U off for little thing. His scale is 1 points and over. There's no 0.5 or 0.25 points. Very picky. I had an A in CH221 with different instructor, but with him I got B in CH222.I don't recommend him at all.Stay away from him
Take this class. I won't lie. It will be hard, but if you expose yourself to all the content you can pass with an A. Go to his office hours. Seriously. Everytime you can. Dr. Russell is extremely down to Earth and an all around groovy dude. Exams are hard, but he gives Xcredit to fill point gaps. I consider him both a teacher and a great mentor.
While it may be a somewhat more difficult class, he is passionate about his subject, and dedicated to helping you learn (Though he has a tendency to go off on tangents). He goes over homework in class, and explains how to do some of the problems. I feel he has quite an effective method, you just need to be willing to put the work into it.
Nice guy and helpful in class but its horrible he is the only option for gen chem 200 series at mhcc. The tutoring center is reluctant to help.Expects way to much.5cr/hr class with 20+hrs/wk of hw. No notes is a killer. The layout of his website is difficult to navigate. Hard to get info from readings often have to search online for clarity.
Dr. russell is an awesome guy and very helpful but his exams are incredibly difficult. Extra credit is available that will help your grade
This man is a saint. It's been a long time since I saw a teacher care so much.
Great teacher! I hate chemistry and he was so patient!
Do NOT slack off the first week of class. As soon as you walk out the door the first day of class, you WILL have stuff to do. Do it and you will pass. Read the chapters, do the problems sets, the chapter guides, the labs. The library is your new home and the LSC is your new bff. It's hard but it's not hard and Russell's the best around. Good luck.
Great Instructor! Was suggested to me that I take Chem with him and I would suggest the same to others.
Dr. Russell will go out of his way to help you, you just need to ask. Drop by any time during his office hours and he will explain it over and over in different ways and show tons of examples til you get it. Not gonna lie, tests are tough but he gives extra credit and wants you to succeed. If you study enough and put the effort in, you can get an A
Hands down the best professor I have Egbert had. Clear instruction, constructive feedback, probing questions, eager to see students succeed and exceptionally positive!
Great guy! Gives you all the tools you need to get an A in the class. However, the class is hard and if you are not using the tools provided you wont pass easily. He's energy is amazing!!! He is always in a good mood and easy to approach. If you are having a problem if is willing to work with you as long. Communication and internet are a must.
This class kicked my butt, no doubt. Chemistry is not my thing but if I needed help Mr. Russell was there to help. There is a good amount of homework and the tests can be pretty tough but if you actually apply yourself and ask for help when you need it you'll benefit a lot from this class.
He's tough, but fair; the material is tough, but the class is fun. I recommend him, just be prepared to study. Loved his sense of humor.
I really enjoyed this class. Yeah, tough, but doable, just study, study, study, all ok.
Dr. Russell is an exceptional teacher. He gives very hard tests and time consuming assignments that are graded critically. A very challenging class but the teacher is always willing to help, and is very effective at doing so. Rising to the challenge of this class was difficult, but after three terms of it the ASC was a breeze.
Liked it, even tho I don't like chem that much
He is the best chemistry teacher at MHCC, really cares about the students and is always well prepared for class
He is a funny and amazing guy that will put up with you. Very good teacher.
Russell is an extraordinary professor. He belongs at a university, so you are so lucky to have him. You will need to work your butt off in order to be successful in his classes, but it will be worth it. His problem sets are long, but extremely helpful. His tests are extremely hard, you need a few days to prepare and study prior. But, he rocks!
Great instructor, clear explanations that help you to relate the text book knowledge to everyday applications and situations. What you need to know for exams is in the syllabus and problem sets. Show up listen and do the work and you will be fine.
Michael is a natural teacher. He is patient , intelligent, and very knowledgeable about the subject(s) he teaches. It was evident almost immediately that Professor Russell really loves science and his enthusiasm for the subject was palpable.
He is an AMAZING teacher! Quite helpful! You need to attend class and actually listen to the lectures to understand anything. But his teaching style is amazing. If he explained it, I understood it. He is so helpful, funny and caring towards his students. He made class fun!
Russell is incredible. I don't usually like going to lectures, but with him.... totally different. And they helped - my grade was higher in this class than it probably should of, thanks to his guidance and ideas.... recommended.
The most amazing professor! I have NEVER liked chemistry or have been good at it, but he changed that. He was very clear and broke the material down so you could understand it. He's also super patient and will NEVER make u feel dumb. I looked forward to class and was sad when it was over. I DEFINITELY recommend him.
ok, so i basically suck at chemistry but have to take this - and what do ya know, he's actually really good, and flexible, and smart and most importantly friendly - very enjoyable, a surprise to me, worth it tho, take his class!
Mike Russell is the best! He answers questions cleary, uses relatable analogies, and responds to emails over the weekend. When I struggled in the class, he helped me realize I could get the grade I wanted (B). His lectures are funny, helpful, and interesting to listen to. He is definitely not the kind that makes the crowd sleepy.
loved this class
Rocked it, great class, take it!
A really nice, cool guy, but a bad teacher overall. He grades WAY TOO HARD. I am a good student (4.0 all 4 yrs of HS in college level classes), and even I had to put in about 20 hrs of homework & studying /wk plus the 7 hrs of inclass time just to struggle to get an A in the class. Tests are way hard. Takes many pts for small mistakes on asgmts.
This was one of the best classes I've ever had. It can be challenging, but great style, fun jokes, helpful feedback. Highly recommended.
awesome. absolutely awesome.
I worked hard, but I learned more here than in most classes.... amazing class. Recommended? You bet!
How to be successful in CH221, 222, and 223: 1. Pay attention to Dr. Russell, he's good. 2. Attend the lecture sessions. 3. Study the material concurrent with the lectures. 4. Do the problem sets and ask questions. 5. Seek help if needed. 6. Get enough sleep. 7. Eat your greens! 8. Enjoy the absolute best teacher ever, he's that good. That's it, if
I hated chemistry, but I decided to become a pharmacist. Glad I took Russell for chem - I worked for the grade I got, but it was "good work", I felt I got something out of the experience. Take him if you get the chance.
Cool class, would take again
Fun class!
you got to work it, but cool teacher with a unique sense of humor... take him, you won't regret it
CH151 in the summer was quite a ride, but my fear of chemistry is gone, I feel good about what I can do in chem now that I've taken his class.... on to CH 221! I wish I could take it with Dr. Russell at MHCC; take it with him if you can!
Michael is the most awesome teacher I've had at MHCC so far. He is not only a great teacher, but also a great person. He gives tough exams, but he's really great about being structured and offers tons of study material. Extra credit is also huge in his book!!
Mike is one of the best teachers I had so far. He cares way too much and very understanding of your personal life. you're the best :) the most important thing that he wants everybody to know everything and understand everything, he's so close to his students he's just awesome
Mike is possibly the best teacher I've had since 2nd grade. He's super kind, understanding, and flexible. His lectures are hilarious, and he makes things easy to follow. If you have questions, he answers them clearly and completely, and regaining lost points is relatively easy... All around a really great person! :)
He is the best professor that I've ever had, and he cares about each one of his students individually. Although he gives a lot of homework and quizzes and midterms, he makes chemistry more fun and gives lots of extra credit to make up.
Dr. Russell is amazing. He is one of those professors that you will look back on and thank because he made a difference in your life. His class is hard and will be a lot of work, but he is so encouraging and helpful. I wish this is how all teachers were. I can't believe (and am thankful) that this professor is at my community college.
Dr. Russell is by far the best teacher at Mt. Hood. He is always there to help out his students, and really cares about your success. Russell makes a hard class very manageable, and never makes you feel dumb. I only have positive things to say about him quite honestly. Great person.
gosh russell is just one of the sweetest professors out there!!! incredibly helpful, and makes lectures fun by just being himself. he genuinely wants to help his students learn and you won't ever feel like you're asking any dumb questions with him. be prepared for the workload however, but know that russell will be there to help you along the way!
Dr. Russell is amazing, awesome, actually there are no words can describe him. even though the chemistry is hard, he gives you a lot of explanation and if you don't understand anything you can see him or send him an email because he always replies at the same time. I took with him chemistry 221, 222, and now I will take 223 I recommend this class
Definitely one of the most enjoyable classes I've taken. It was definitely challenging and despite the fact that you're not REQUIRED to go to lectures, a lot of important material is covered and it's hard to pass if you don't go to all of them. He's a really great teacher and does his best to encourage and help everyone.
Great dude, go to class, learned a LOT!!!!!
FAVORITE TEACHER THUS FAR IN MY COLLEGE CAREER!! If youve had difficulty with chem in the past, Dr. Russel will help change that. Yes, chem is rough, but hes so organized and helpful its difficult not to get a good grade. I honestly wish every teacher was like him. If you have the opportunity to take one of his classes, you wont be disappointed
This class - wow - I learned so much, very fun, very cool. I had a blast and would take it again if I could.
Michael is one of the best! I took his 5 week summer term class and got an A. His humor and great examples helped me remember what I needed to. Also he is great at answering any questions you may have. Really happy with the way he teaches. This was my first ever chemistry class and Michael made it fun! 10/10!!!
Dr. Russell is an absolutely amazing teacher. His classes are HARD though. I took chem 151, chem 221, and chem 222 from him. I didn't take his 223 class only because I couldn't fit it into my schedule. If you want to take the 220 level chem at MHCC be prepared for hard work but an enormous amount of extra credit. Highly recommend Russell.
Dr. Russell's 151 classes are the most fun I've had in school, ever. I often find myself looking forward to the sessions. He is warm, funny and a genuine, good man. Fantastic instructor! He presents material in a way that is easy to absorb. Never have I heard him talk down or make anyone feel dumb; he is the most encouraging guy I've ever met.
Dr. Russel cares so much about his students. As long as you put in the time you will enjoy this class
Russel cares so much about his students and is always willing to help. If you put in the time you'll get a lot out of the class
Great professor and a great guy. He does his best to help students succeed, though that's not to say the class is easy. You definitely need to work hard to pass. Attendance at lectures is not mandatory but I did find attending made the class a lot easier. I would definitely take his class again.
I am so glad to have taken chemistry with Dr. Russell, he is a real gem of a teacher. He cares so much about his students and is quick to reply to anything you may need. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had, and a true inspiration. If you are scared to take chem like I was, I promise you Michael Russell will make you love it!!!
Hands down the best professor I have ever had. He clearly cares about the success of his students, responds to emails promptly, is very helpful during office hours, and gives a boat load of extra credit so there is no way to not pass the class unless you don't try.
The Corona Virus has messed things up, making this class all online.... not my favorite. But I gotta hand it to Russell, he's making it ok, and I'm getting through the class in a way I never thought I would. I think you would like Russell, he cares about his students, take his class if you can!
Russell is the best teacher I have ever had. He is the most organized and most available when you have any questions (he will reply immediately). He is also hilarious and sweet. He gives you lots of extra credit but make sure that you really work hard and understand the topic to really get those credits. DEF RECOMMEND HIMMMM!!!!!!!
I took Mike for all of my chemistry classes. I wish more professors were like him; he cares for your success and will even respond to emails outside of office hours. He is a fair grader but gives so much extra credit so if you try, getting an A isn't too hard. He is the best professor I have ever had so if you have the chance, take his classes!!!
covid, i hate you!!!, but Doc R, you made it better, getting through this plague and actually laughing - at chemistry! - more than once even!!! wow, stunned, wish i could take more with you, amazing class, amazing person, recommend yes (:
Never taken a chemistry class online, but needed it for engineering. This class was much more fun than I thought possible! Despite snow storms and covid, I actually learned some chemistry and wished I had credits left to take CH 223 with him the next term. Recommended.
Good class, good experience
I hate science but you will love his class. Great teacher, even for those not going into the science industry. Very caring, and the explanations were amazing.
Overall one of the most caring Professors I've had. He really wants you to succeed, but will make you work for it. I've learned so much in his class and wish he taught more chem classes. He is a tough teacher, but all the while worth it. This is my first Chem sequence and I learned so much from this course. It was so worth it to take him.
I only needed CH221, I would have liked to take more classes from this teacher. Take him if you can, great experience.
He goes above and beyond to provide resources for getting thru a challenging subject, even made his own website for the class with videos, handouts, etc. He treats students with respect and is great about getting back to emails. Highly recommend
Great professor, always available to help. I would take him again, definitely. By far the best Chem prof I have had. He is laid back and gives enjoyable lectures that are easy to follow and fun.
I hate science but you will love these classes. Great teacher, even for those not going into the science industry per se. Very caring, clear explanations, amazing.
Coolest instructor ever! Very clear powerpoints and videos, and very eager to answer questions. Took his basic chem class and it was pretty easy but you still learned the information. Recommended
Professor Russell literally MADE my college experience. He was so kind and friendly and always made sure I was feeling okay in my personal life as well as in my school life. Whenever I had a inconvenience pop up he would always bend the schedule in order to help me. Be respectful and kind to him and he will be your best friend.
Mike is a great chemistry teacher. He offers extra credit and is very kind when answering any questions that you have. We made it through COVID together and although we never were in person I still felt connected to him as a teacher. The class is hard but if you put in the work you will create great memories with one of the best teachers ever.
He creates lots of availability to students and gives lots of opportunities to succeed (and pull up your grade). There's a lab, quiz, and problem set every week. He's super friendly and always willing to help. This might just be a me thing, but sometimes it felt like main topics were hard to follow/distinguish through the lectures. Overall, 10/10 tho
Dr. Russell is an amazing human and teacher. He is obviously passionate about chemistry and keen to help his students learn. What you need to do to succeed in the class is very clear and his practice tests match the exams. Russell is humble and despite his Ivy League degree never makes anybody feel stupid. Would 100% recommend to anyone.
Dr. Russell is passionate about his subject as well as ensuring his students succeed. His lectures contain lots of information but he explains the topics well. Each week has a problem set which he will go over before the weekly quiz that relates to the problem set. He offers multiple extra credit opportunities and is always willing to help.
Excellent instructor; very organized and prepared for class, available at posted office hours and always wanted to help students succeed. Dr. Russel created his own website for the class which was well designed and easy to use. Homework and due dates for were consistent and easy to understand, and guidelines were grading homework were clear.
doc is the real deal. The fun guy. If you try, you get rewarded. 3 exams, research project w paper and pres. he knows chem. Lectures epic. Exams usually hurt. Has site w everything. Helpful. Nice. Cool. Respect his time, and he'll respect you. His seq is a painful trip, but worth it. Chem ain't easy. Do your best, even if it sucks. Take the pain...
Doctor Russell is the best prof I've ever had. I didn't even know I liked chemistry before taking his classes. The material can be difficult but it is some of the most exciting and rewarding work I've done in school. Michael makes chemistry awesome; his lectures and labs were always my favorite part of every day. Super cool, smart and humble guy.
While this class is very difficult and requires a great amount of initiative to study, Professor Russell is the best professor to help you through it. He is always available to answer questions, is happy to help and very flexible if needed. He cares about the subject and his students and appreciates those who put forth the effort. BEST PROF EVER!
Dr. Russel is one of the best professors out there. He makes sure that his students succeed. He cares for his students and that they truly learn the material. If you want to do well in a chemistry class take him ;) His class can be a lot of work but he is a great teacher that you will definitely love.
His lectures are very engaging, and he uses many comparisons, so you'll remember what was taught during his lessons. I wish I had taken his previous chemistry classes because his teaching style has really helped me retain the information.
Dr. Russell is AWESOME!! There are so many resources on his site, and the textbook is free. His lectures are always engaging and humorous, and there are a lot of extra credit options. There's a lot of work if you want to ace the tests and quizzes, but he's the perfect prof to help you get a deep understanding of chem.

I took him for Chem 221 to 222 (223 next year). He is totally understanding, fair, and patient. Lectures are optional but recommended, and heavy, but I like that. He has past lectures on YouTube so you can re-watch and that was awesome, and there's a lot of extra credit. I wish he taught Organic Chemistry as well so I can take him for another class
I am so glad to have taken chemistry with Dr. Russell, he is a real great teacher. He cares so much about his students and is quick to reply to anything you need. He's one of the best teachers I have ever had, and a true inspiration. If you are scared to take chemistry like I was, I promise you he will make you love it!!!
Wow, "prof hat" Russell will go way out of his way to help you, you just need to go up and ask. Drop by his office and he will explain it over and over again in many different ways and show TONS of examples until you have nailed it. Not gonna lie, tests can be a bit tough but he gives extra credit and wants you to do well. You CAN get an A like me
I was surprised: I had not expected to like this class (I had to take it), but the instructor made it enjoyable and bearable. I recommend him.
Great class and organization, glad he did not use BlackBored (: take it!
Such an amazing professor, I'm no chemistry person but he made the class so interesting. A week usually consisted of a quiz (about 4-6 questions), a lab (about an hour to do), a homework assignment, with a term-long paper. The midterm and final are rather long but are completed on paper, so no real time limit, same with quizzes. Highly Recommend!
Mike is a really cool professor and honestly I would rate him higher if I had taken his class in person but for his online class I have to say it was a let down. The biggest issue is that he doesn't use blackboard and uses his own website which is a spider web of random information that is really easy to get lost in.
I was in bad shape outside of class, too crazy to talk about now, but Dr. R helped me out of a jam I was in, and I am forever grateful.
Prof Russell is a great chemistry teacher - engaging lectures, helpful resources, and lots of extra credit. The class is challenging but manageable with the right study strategies, like using unstuck AI alongside the free textbook.
I took the hybrid versions of both classes, so I saw him once each week for a roughly four hour time slot... and it was great! Often i did not feel like going to class, but once there, I was engaged and ready to learn - which surprised me - wow! Recommended highly!
I had not been in school for quite a while, so this class was intimidating at first. Michael made it enjoyable, was patient, answered questions quickly and thoroughly, and made me feel content. This turned out to be fun (I never thought I'd say that), but he managed to do just it. Difficult class at times but very rewarding.
Fun class to take if you only need lab credit to graduate (prob good if you needed more too lol), cool prof
Great professor! Dr. Russel made lectures fun and memorable. Very helpful office hours and easy to reach outside of class. He will answer any question you have and won't make you feel stupid about it. Lots of opportunities for extra credit.
