hard test but he curves extremely high if you make around a C on test he will give you an A for the class

Hey is awesome. I mean the class is very hard, but he really does scale the grades a lot!! He makes the class fun to go to also, I think it is the only class I look forward too. He's really funny and he tries to do goofy things to help you remember stuff!! It's a challenging class but it's not too bad!!!

i took him my freshman year for psy. 120, and i loved it. its not the easiest class but hes hott and a great teacher to listen to. his tests arent bad at all, he scales them good and be sure to be there for tla's and quizes and you'll do fine..i think that was my fav. class the whole semester

Doc the coolest teacher i've taken yet! He's totally hot, totally fun, and totally awesome at teaching. He makes class interesting. I actually look forward to it! Take it, its great!

Gordon was a great prof, he actually cares about whether or not you learn psychology, not so much whether you learn the book or not. Pay attention in class and you'll do fine, and it's not too hard because he's a fun and engaging teacher. There are some test questions (and pop quizzes) from the book, so try to read, but dont stress over it.

this guy LOVES psychology!! i def recommend taking him! his lectures are very interesting and many of his test questions are common sense!!! this is a GREAT class to take!

Great teacher. Shows an obvious genuine interest in his field, and in his students. Is very helpful and a very good teacher! He is very concerned with his students and seeing that they succeed. He teaches well, and always presents the material in an interesting way,and makes learning enjoyable.

he was an AMAZING professor--knows how to keep your attention--his passion for psychology definitely shows! he is great about helping you out w/ anything you need.. he's easy to get in touch with if you need him and great about getting back to you quickly... his tests are really easy, especially if you attend the study sessions

One word: awesome. You only use the book for quizzes, he gives you chances for extra credit, amazing lectures-he makes sure to capture your attention and his knowledge of psychology shows. Always willing to devote his time to help you, he has everything you need for his class on his website, which he frequently updates. Like I said, he's awesome!

My favorite! best prof ever, very nice, helpful, and interesting, will take time to explain if you dont understand. tests aren't too bad if you show up to class, which you should bc it's fun and interesting and you get extra credit! notes available online, but you should take more, only use book for online quizzes.

Great professor. Text is used for online quizzes, exams come strictly from lecture, which is always interesting; at least he makes it very much so. I wouldn't recommend missing any.

he will keep you the entire class period. he gives you the notes online. the tests were hard but lots of extra credit points were available. he holds study sessions before each exam..which are very helpful. he is a good professor. i would recommend this class.

if i had him as a freshman instead of as a junior i would be a psych major. he gives you every opportunity to make an A in the class. he does keep you the entire time (you get your $'s worth). WORTH TAKING.

He makes his lectures very interesting, gives you a chance to get extra credit points. I never made an A on his tests but I came out with an A in the class. He is always prompt to answer any questions if you call or email him. I recommend going to his pre test study sessions.

Very, very awesome teacher. I loved psychology in highschool and he only strengthened it. Lectures are very interesting and essential for class-test questions come strictly from lectures and not everything in the notes online cover what he says in class. Many oppurntunities for extra credit and easy to make an A. I would recommend sharing a book.

He'sa GREAT professor, but it's kinda hard to concentrate on his lectures and not just on HIM because of his appearance, sense of humor, and all around charm and attraction! He is a wonderful lecturer, though. He has great study sessions before each test that is a MUST to attend. The online tests are also helpful.

Great prof. Wants you to experience his zeal for Perception, tries his best to help you understand, really cares a/your progress, approachable, & will give opps for xcredit. Class very interesting & beneficial overall-great group discussions & study sessions. His class was so much fun. You can actually use the knowledge learned in this class.

He walked around barefoot most days. His tests are all multiple choice. He lets you bring a bluebook to the exams to justify your answers. In some instances you might have marked one wrong, if you justified it you would still get points. Go to the study sessions that he holds! His final has some exact questions from the other exams.

Dr.Gordon is an excellent teacher. He helps his students out a lot by holding study session for the midterms and the final. He reviews everything in class and never hesitates to answer a question. You take online quizzes and theres a lot of easy bonus opportunity. The research participation isn't bad either. You only have to attend 7.

One word- enthusiastic! He loves what he teaches and it is shown during lectures. Though the class wasn't extremely easy, Dr. Gordon made it interesting and found different ways to make you learn. There were not many tests, but there were quizzes that can help boost your grade. All in all, the class turned out to be rather fun.

he is one of the best teachers i have every had. the class is very easy if you come to class and pay attention, he doesn't use the book and all this test come form lect notes.

This is a very well prepared and enthusiastic professor. His love for the subject really comes through during every lecture- which is a rare find. I encourage everyone to take his class. I promise it's not boring, plus... you actually walk away with more knowledge than when you came in--how often does that happen!?

He is such a great prof. You really have to come to class and pay attention, but he goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure you understand the concepts. Also, always take a blue book to the test. If you do, and you justify all of your answers, you can't fail. The only people who fail are those who choose not to bring the blue book.

Professor Gordon is incredible! He really loves Psychology and that shows in his lectures. Every time I've gone to class I've always learned something new that I'll pass on to a friend. He knows how to make everything interesting, even if it is the middle of the day and you're tired already!

he's definitely interesting and a lot of fun. but since it's your grade that matters, his tests can be pretty difficult. but he gives quite a bit of extra credit so most people don't come out to bad even if they do bad on the tests. share a book with a friend, you never use it except for on the online quizzes. bonus for attending class :)

Extremely easy class. It mostly concerns general things that are mildly interesting as opposed to real science or psychology history. If you're looking for real higher education in college, I'm not sure this class fits the bill, but it's definitely fun. Even idiots can make A's, and Dr.Gordon is a really likable person. Pretty too =).

Dr. Gordon is a cool guy. His test are tough so buying a blue book can really make a difference between passing and failing. I made a F without blue book and A with one. Also go to study sessions. He cares about his students learning. Printing slides offline is helpful. If you want to learn take him.

The course itself is hard, yet there's plenty of extra points available. Attend class and do all your research participation tasks....EXTRA CREDIT! The midterms and final are all lecture but the online quizzes come from the book. Take Dr. Gordon, you won't be disappointed!! By the way, sometimes, he tends to jump on tables when he gets excited!

Good guy, really easy to talk to. Very interested in what he teaches, and if you put forth the effort to go to his review sessions and do the extra credit (25 pts) for showing up! then you will come out fine. If you love abnormal psy, then he doesn't know a ton about it, he does teach with passion what he does know!

he's a good teacher but he is confusing sometimes. i think the class would be better if there were practice exams because there's too much information to take in so a practice exam would help out. online quizzes are cool but easy to forget about.

AMAZING!! only used books for online quizzes which you can complete in first week if you want then return book for full refund. Attendance isnt necessarily mandatory but most all his exams come from notes. He is very interesting and entertaining. Hes definitly one to take if your thinking of going into psych or even if you're not. LOVED HIM!!

Dr. Gordon is an amazing teacher and made his class very interesting and fun. Definitely my favorite of the semester. There are plenty of extra credit points available and, but you really should do well if you go to class and pay attention!

Dr. Gordon makes class very interesting, you pretty much have to go to do well, but it's not that bad. He knows SO much about so many different things and is a really funny guy. You only use the book for online quizzes and they're all pretty easy. If you go to class and do the quizzes, he tries to give you points. He's great - take him!

Dr. Gordon is a very knowledgeable, exciting teacher yet at times gets a little confusing. He's very eager to teach but sometimes does not clarify during his lectures. Tests are a bit difficult with distracting questions. However, he does try to help you out with bonus points. Not too bad!

Quite possibly the BEST professor I have ever had. You can tell that he really enjoys what he does. His tests are difficult if you don't study. Going to class is a must as he bases the tests on the lecture, not on the book. He works very hard to make sure that everyone understands the subject. I actually enjoyed going to class. Got an A.

He was awesome. I think he used to work as a magician because he did magic during every lecture. Each class was like a 50 minute magic show durin which I learned stuff without realizing I was learning. It was awesome.

He was great. Definitely take him if you get the chance. His enthusiasm is contagious... you can tell he really loves teaching. His tests are not as hard as people say and are actually pretty amusing. You need the book for outlines and online quizzes but don't need to read cover to cover. Highly recommended...

if you every get the chance take him. His class is the only class that hasn't put me to sleep. i acutally look forward to going every day. he's one of those few teachers who really love their jobs

I loved and hated this class at the same time. We had tougher assignments and tests than the regulars class, but the material we did was very interesting. He loves psychology and it's pretty infectious =] I'm glad I took this class after all.

I definitely loved Dr. Gordon's class! He made it almost impossible to do poorly! Very entertaining and funny! I never missed class because he could double as a comedian!!! LOVED HIS CLASS, and he isn't bad to look at either!

Gordon is super awesome! I took PSY120 and had the best time in the class. He makes all the things you learn super interesting and he's really into what he's talking about. At the beginning of the semester get the book to do online quizzes then return it before the bookstore stops accepting returns. We didnt use textbooks for the actual class. A++!

Took psych as an honors class and didnt expect much from it. Loved Dr. Gordons enthusiasm and the stuff we covered!!!! Great class - but hard!

Having to type outlines every week take away from the time I could have spent actually reading and digesting the material. It would be better to have to read the chapter and then take a short quiz on it. Otherwise, he is funny and nice and tries hard to explain things to everyone.

This is a great class!!! With the outlines they can be annoying to do, but they really make me go carefully over the readings and I learn a lot. The FLAs are awesome!!!!

I really like this class! It is pretty straghtforward after taking biopsych, but dr g demands a lot! Overall a good prof and moderate level class.

Wow, this guy made me want to come to class. I never missed a class bc of this. His tests are tough, but I don't think I've ever had more fun taking a test as his, with questions themed on ninjas and "cows falling the ceiling like one that had his legs cut off in some freak farming accident". Yea, exactly. This guy makes the class so much fun, I wish he thought more classes so I could take him again. If you take PSY120, take him. You'll actually have fun, and learn quite alot along the way.

I really don't think Dr. G is as hard as a lot of people say he is! The stuff is pretty straightforward and he tries to help those who have trouble! The outlines have been a pain but he was really understanding when I had family issues that came up. Good class overall!

Not always the easiest, but definitely one of the best. Heard he is leaving South and I just feel sorry for those of you who never had a chance to take his classes. :(

Dr. Gordon is awesome! He is HILARIOUS during his lectures. You can really tell he loves psychology because of how into whatever he's lecturing about. He paces across the front of the room and gets loud. He uses great visual examples that really help you remember the concepts he's teaching. I definitely recommend.
