class is EXTREMELY BORING betcha will sleep in class everyday, tests aren't that hard, easy As hopefully

what a joke, i dont know how he got job, or if he just shows up and decided to pick a random lecture hall. he gives no helpful notes. i am lost in the class. i can see why he is teaching at SUNY and not yale.

Boring, dresses and sounds like Mr. Rogers, is nice person tho. Teaches straight from book by putting the pgs on the overhead. To get an A read the study guide & have someone call your name during attendance which is mandatory but still no one goes.

Seems like a nice enough guy, but annoying as all hell. if i never hear his laugh again it will be too soon. lectures are painfull to get through, he teaches about one paragraph from the book for every lecture.

This guy is a ****ing dumb jackass idiot who has a laugh that is a variation of the wicked witch of the west. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS You will pray for the Lord to strike you down every minute you have to sit in the class. He is so God damn boring, if your stuck taking his class get some therapy

Something like Mr. Rogers on steroids. His sense of humor would appeal to elementary students. Class is boring, and the tests and HW tend to be exceedingly hard. I get more from reading the textbook than his lectures. Better to sleep through class and read later...it works better.

BORING is all I have to say! He teaches strictly from the textbook and it's hard to pay attention to him bcause he is so boring. He laughs at his own corny jokes, which almost makes you feel sorry for his poor soul. Some hws are tricky. The tests for the most part are fair but make sure you study!

Very boring class, and boring textbook. Frequent homework from textbook, and exams are tricky. Easy to fall asleep, laughs at his own jokes, and takes attendance when the class looks a little empty. Other than its an okay class.

Extremely boring lectures, has monotone voice and corny jokes. Takes attendence, but kind of keeps calling the same students' names - those that were absent the first time he called attendence. Weekly homeworks are hard to get perfect grade, textbook is boring but way better than lectures. Just read

It's just really hard to concentrate in his class, maybe it's his voice, I don't know... Just keep talking and talking and I have no clue of what he taught, I got most of the things I learned from the textbook and study guide.

Sattinger is a nice man, however, I cannot disagree with the comments over here. Please adhere to them!! I was optimistic and loved Econ, now I hate it. He is more suited for research. Tests are ridiculously difficult, considering the poor quality of instruction.Umm..not recommended.

I dropped this clowns class. He tries to be funny and make jokes but doesnt explain class content well. His tests are hard but usually have good curves. I guess he is better than the eco professors that dont speak english but he is still a garbage professor.

This guy is completely useless, you learn absolutely nothing in his class, You sign into class with an electronic clicker so half the people just give someone their clicker and never showup. Your grade consist of 3 25 ? test and weekly homeworks over the internet which are easy. Read the textbook and you should get a decent grade

Terrible class!!! Boring as hell but its a gen ed so u gotta do it. so boring, he attempts to bring some humor into the class but fails miserably. Homework is easy and due once a week online, tests are not too bad if u can study mind numbingly dull material. he is rather monotone so bring something to stay awake, u have to go to class for clicker

I had him for micro economics and didn't learn a thing. This was my least favorite class. He's corny and I learned nothing. His tests are ridiculously hard but sometimes he does have a big curve. Overall though I hated the class and DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

He is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He has no idea what he's talking about and i've learned absolutely nothing from him. the textbook has been my only source of knowing whats going on and the tests are ridiculously hard. dont pick him as your teacher if you wanna take micro! you will defintely regret it !

If you take him, big mistake, he teaches absolutely nothing. The only reason to go to class is the clicker.

The dude thinks he's hilarious. However, he is very wrong about that. The only point in going to class is the clicker questions. His lectures are ridiculous. They don't really help with the tests or the Aplia assignments. You better be able to study on your own or with a group.

Sattinger does not do a good job of conveying the course material. I got an A in the class but only because i taught myself out of the textbook. He often times thinks he's funny when in reality he is not funny at all. His curves on tests are nice, however if your used to getting spoon fed everything you need to know you will not enjoy his class

This says it all about him, the class average on the final was a 60 out of 120. The class average for an intro class on the final should not be a 50, hes a horrible professor. That pretty much sums everything up. Not very clear, very boring and dull,

Way too difficult for a 100 level class average on the first exam was around a 60 and on the second exam it was a 48. Online homework not coordinated with lecture and is very difficult. Honestly a very bad professor, doesn't explain things well at all

Absolutely the worst professor I have ever had. In therms of lectures and tests he is slightly fair, but when it comes to the online homeworks they are extremely hard and you have to teach yourself everything that he doesn't cover on the lectures. Choose another professor, you'll thank me

Got an A in this class, but definitely not because of him. He is so confusing in class, he makes things overly complicated. The homework is really hard. Tests aren't too bad. Buy the book and read every chapter the class covers.If you don't you'll be lost. Class test averages were 60something, 58 and 55. If averages are that low you know he's bad.

Here's what you need to know. I graduated high school with roughly a 92 average, econfinancebusiness is my strong suit ... so for this class his exams were easy but a few questions are quite tricky. 3 exams, final is NOT cumulative but does consist about 9 chapters (when i took this class) I got a B overall because of not going to class

No one really likes him. Lectures are so-so. Doesn't seemed like he wanted to help. All he wants to do is go over his slides. No extra time in class for questions. Review sessions were always at a conflicting time. Our finals review session was at 10 in the morning on reading day, mind that the dining halls doesn't open till 11.

Sattinger is very boring. Test are difficult but the curve is huge. Very hard to pay attention. Aplia is annoying but good review

If you're looking for a class just for credits, take this one. He doesn't put much passion into his teaching, probably because he is part of administration and is close to retirement. His tests aren't too hard if you study for them. The only annoying thing was that some test questions were about specific graphs in the textbook.
