He is a great teacher and cares if you care. He is willing to answer any questions you have, and he dose use the text book for examples (just for the record) and long as you go to class and do your hawks you'll do fine.

Best professor I ever had. Class was always a blast and we got out early almost every day. 4 test, which are multiple choice and he drops the lowest grade. Don't need the book at all, he shows you everything you need to know. It doesn't get any better than this.

Very good teacher. He doesn't make math as complex as most professors. Most of your work will be from the online maple quizzes. Tests are based of those. I would highly recommend taking him. :)

Took this class online in summer 2, not that bad. Lots of online homework and quizzes but it is easy and you can re-take it as many times as you need to in order to get a 100%. All the tests and the final are online as well. Overall, pretty easy class if your somewhat good at math or if you have someone to help you.

Online Class: Summer II: evrything was done online on a site calld mathxl. so i bascially did evrthing frm the comfort of my home. barely used the book. only 4 test, lots of h.w. nd quizzes. mathxl was kind of complex at first but then it became managable. i got an A in this class. he replies to emails quickly nd he is an excellent prof overall.

This teacher is SUPER funny! I'd crack up EVERY class! But I had to withdraw because he teaches off of Maple. He never uses the book so don't waste money buying it. But if you can handle Maple, go for it! He is still a great teacher! Just that kind of teaching style isn't for everyone n I had to learn that the hard way.

Took him online. Worse ideal ever. Thought it was be easier than in class but I was mistaken. All work on mathxl is not the problem. It's the test. The test are on mathXL. So you must get everything strictly right or you fail. Thought i was doing good on test then results show me something different. Dont take online your better off in class

Schramm is a great teacher. He tells lots of stories, but it sure makes the day go by quicker as well as make math class fun (instead of boring). All of the classwork is completed through MapleTA, though its really to your benefit; do the HW, the test is the same exact format at the HW. Do your HWs on time, practice the HW, and you can't go wrong.

Online: Professor Schramm is a very good instructor. I have heard he is better in the classroom but online was not bad. Definitely need to be self motivated due to the amount of homework; however, Professor Schramm is always quick to respond if you need help. I would recommend him.

He's super cool with people, he likes to joke around at times. his class is't really mandatory because he records his classes on Echo360, his tests are kind of easy but can get a little confusing when choosing answers. The book isn't used but you need the code in the book for MathXL

His class was very easy. I love his teaching style. The tests aren't that difficult, just don't over-think. Textbook is not needed, but if you're not good at math, I suggest you to use it for textbook homeworks. I would take him again for another math class, but he doesn't teach Stats. :(

My favorite professor of all time. He has a passion like no other and he doesn't make you feel dumb because you don't know the math. Mr. Schramm's recorded lectures are on echo and he uses the smart board,he is an excellent teacher!Tests are on math xl,no multiple choice,but the practice tests are just like the real tests.Good Luck!

This class was so simple and easy. There are four tests and a final, one of the four tests gets dropped. All the tests have practice tests that are exactly like the real thing. All homework has unlimited attempts. The course is simple and Mr. Schramm is very accommodating to everyones specific needs.

Very organized for online class. He had an entire semester of classes recorded for us to watch/listen to. Answered questions quickly. I'll probably take him for future math classes if I can.

Gave me a W instead of failing me with a D. This really helped my GPA! I failed because I don't understand martian (i.e. calculus), NOT because Mr. Schramm is not a great professor. I appreciated his patience with all 2 million of my questions during the semester as well.

Quick responses to emails. Gave me an extension on a test , which helped me score a much better grade. The online course was MathXL, which can be painful at times. Didn't really use the book at all. I just needed the code that came with it.

Awesome professor! He really cares for his students and wants you to pass. As long as you show up to class, do all homework, and study a little before each test you're guaranteed to pass. His lectures are never boring and he always comes up with fun and quirky ways to remember things.

This class was easy for me when I normally hate math. A lot of homework but option to redo questions until u get them right equals 100 on every homework assignment. Each test split into 2 parts including final open to take whenever not just on assigned days! Great practice tests uses math xl so u need the access code that comes w textbook.

To Schramm for Trig although his tests are pretty tough, he is very fair and sets clear expectations. You will need to work hard to do well. The nice thing is that you can re watch his lectures on echo. I wish my professors did this . Funny, really knows his math and enjoys teaching it. Note, MEMORIZE THE UNIT CIRCLE AND YOU WILL DO FINE

I've never liked math, but he actually made me love it! His tests were easy and were very similar to the notes from class. He is also very attractive, which is a plus since it made it easy to pay attention! I ended the class with a 97 on my final, with minimal studying thanks to his lectures.

Quite an interesting character. He wants everyone to pass and tries turning the entire class into a math majors. If you try, you WILL pass. Has multiple choice tests, the typical online homework, and 4 test1 final. 1 test drop, 2 homework drops. Encourages you to ask questions. Overall, if I was better at math, I'd ask for his number.

I took his online MAC1105 course. The course is laid out pretty clearly. He posts his lectures on blackboard, but they're really long and kind of boring. However, he posts study materials and third party videos under "Content" that helped me tremendously. He always emailed me very quickly whenever I had a question. Really nice guy, great teacher.

Are you serious about your math education? Do you have to take the Calc sequence? Then DO NOT take Schramm. He is a nice guy but that is it. You cannot spend 25% of the class telling little life stories and trying to make half of your class engaged by stopping the lecture. We are here to learn, not to listen to golf battles. EASY A.

His Echó 360 recordings are awesome. The fact that he splits your all of your test in 2 parts and he has a practice test for each test and you can take as many times as you want. I took him online and I am going to take him again for pre-calculus hopefully in the fall.

I had fun. Seriously. He just opened my mind and taught me to love math. I did my homework. When I got stuck, he answered all my "little math" questions and never once judged me. Took him for summer I,liked it better than regular semester. I don't recommend skipping even just 1 class, every single one has important critical material. If you practice the methodsstepsprocedures for a problem, you WILL do good, especially if math in not your strong suit. And using mathway for the math XL, really doesn't help one bit on tests

Took the online class over Summer II. Expect to spend a good amount of time doing HW, and math XL will drive you crazy if you don't enter it in just so. Over all a good class, really fast paced. Do not take during summer if you dont want to spend time studying.

MathXL is great for hw but makes test difficult because of how specific you must enter your answer(not multiple choice either). The lectures are several years old but still helpful. The great thing about taking it online is you can fast forward, he gets off subject faster than a squirrel. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be in person.

Although I took an online class rather than face to face, he was very direct with what he wanted and answered emails promptly. His tests are exactly like the practice ones. I would recommend taking his course.

Schramm is an amazing professor but DO NOT take his math classes online. Completely different than his on campus classes, which have multiple choice tests. Online has no lecture recordings, and hard fill-in-the-blank math xl tests. I had to take an incomplete because I was unable to finish it, then sit in on one of his real on campus classes.

This was the first teacher where I actually enjoyed going to class. He's funny and keeps things light, while giving clear direction of what's expected. He's more then happy to help. Truly cares about his students and that they are successful. His test reviews are very similar to his tests. Very happy I was able to get him for trig next semester.

I loved having him as my math teacher. He keeps the class fun by telling stories and explains how to do math problems clearly and is very fair with his grading! You do not need the book for his class but you do have the online mathxl for homework.

LOVED Schramm! Took his class for 3 semesters. It's not an easy course, but he makes it bearable and makes everything clear and understandable. He always reviews the tests the day before and is extremely helpful if you need help with anything after. The tests are all multiple choice, 25 questions, not unreasonably difficult.

Very accommodating, and will help where he can. Drops the lowest test score. It is a very hard course to take online (mainly because of MathXL), so if you can take the physical class I'd recommend that. You do not need the book if you buy the access code. He responds to emails promptly, and considers the amount of effort you put in for grading.

Schramm is the man! I've never been a fan of math & he completely changed how I feel about it! He drops the lowest test grade, and really works with you if he sees that you are trying. Math XL is huge so make sure you always complete it. He's very passionate & hilarious. He made math fun!

Easy class as long as you study the material and listen to the way he explains the problems. Tests are mostly based on notes. He is also really funny and I learned a lot of things from him that was not just about math.

I suggest taking him at the campus rather than online. Everything is through mathXL which is harder than the material taught in the echo videos.

Schramm is awesome!! Definitely one of my most favorite classes ever. He is VERY clear about what's on the tests and he keeps class interesting by telling stories. If you have any questions he is very willing to answer them. He definitely cares about students and wants everyone to get an A in his class.

I took this class online in summer 2 which made it extremely fast. tests are on mathxl which is harder than an in class test. i wish i wouldve taken him in class. lots of mathxl homework and watched his old lectures on echo to help understand the material, i would recommend taking him in class if possible.

AMAZING! I have never been good at math at all really, but with Mr. Schramm as my professor I passed the class with an A. I would take him for every math class if I could.

Would definitely take Prof. Schramm again. We did not use the textbook but did use the online code. There is lots of homework online but if you stay on top of it you will do good.

Professor Schramm was fantastic. I am a dual enrolled student and by taking this class, it has boosted my SAT math score by 110 points. Mr. Schramm will teach you more than just math, but life lessons as well. Made me enjoy and be good at a subject I wasn't so hot at.

Best Math teacher I have EVER taken. I would 100% recommend anyone who is struggling in math or is great at math to take Schramm. Not only does he care about his students, but he is very passionate about math and will do as much as he can to ensure you're understanding the material. Best Math Class EVER! Math is not my strong point, but he made it interesting and his class was f un. Lots of homework on the computer, stay on top of it. He is a great professor. Did not use textbook, but did use online code. Would definitely take again if I needed another math.

I am not by any stretch of the imagination, a math person. I will study all day, and freeze under pressure. I worked so hard in this class to understand the material, and get they all the mathxl assignments. His online echo lectures are great. They made me wish I had taken his class in person. Schramm is the best professor I've ever had. He is so inspiring and believes in his students. He wants you to not just pass, but excell. He gives amazing lectures, and all are recorded on Echo to watch at home. He gives tips in class (turns of the Echo) for what will be on the test. Tells hilarious stories and makes class fun. Mr. Schramm was very helpful. He answered emails quickly and really addressed the questions in them. He communicated with the class well and helped when he was needed. I would definitely recommend him for any class. Just a tip for college algebra: do not take it online if you are not self-motivated or if you are not good at time management.

I never got to meet prof. Schramm in person, but his online class was still awesome! He responded very quickly, and was always helpful. He drops 1 test out of 5, and drops your lowest homework grade. Loved him and hope to take him again!

Hands down best prof at IRSC. I've taken his class for both MAC1105 and MAC1140 and each time he was an amazing teacher. Make sure you actually do the HW well because he rounds up your grade if its high. Tests are all mult choice and there are only 25 questions. 4 tests, online HW and quizzes, and the final are all his grades. c

He makes it clear to his students that he really is on there side, and wants to see them succeed in the class. He makes things easy for the students, and does as much as he can to help everyone pass. Do. All. Homework. Doesn't put trick questions on test, but you have to meet him in the middle, study enough to know the material, and you'll pass.

Prof. Schramm was perhaps the greatest math teacher that I have ever had. He is not only a great teacher but also a great person. He does an amazing job at conveying and explaining the material in the course while at the same time sharing funny stories and making people laugh when the material is a little dry. You cannot go wrong by taking him.

Mr. Schramm is hilarious! He knows how to make College Alg feel way easier. He explains every little step and doesnt move on until we all are on the same page. He also records his voice, and the smart board to post on blackboard so you can go back if you miss something. He gives as much extra credit as he can! He makes math painless.

Michael Scramm is easily the best math professor I've ever had, I took his blended course and it wasn't the best choice, but he made the class much better than I expected it to be. 10/10 excellent professor, and person. I would definitely retake him if I could. Do all of the mymathlab and you can't fail.

He is the best Math professor at IRSC! Show up to every class and take neat notes! (I used colored pens so I wouldnt get confused). If you dont like math, he helps you out as much as he can & will stop what hes doing to answer any questions. He gives lots of extra credit! The book they make you buy is somewhat confusing. I didn't know that charts would be provided on tests. Would have been great to know before the first test because I was working on memorizing all the formulas. Once you figure out how to use the calculator in this class and to refer to the charts it becomes much easier.

Took in spring w/ 4 other classes. SUPER easy. Wants you to pass & helps you if asked. Doesn't teach everything that is on MML but will teach you if you just ask. BUT does NOT put ANYTHING he did NOT teach on tests. On MML if you havent learned it just use Mathway since it won't be on test anyway. Hilarious, good stories & great teaching. Very kind

SCHRAMM is the best Math professor at IRSC! Show up to class! He gives ample extra credit opportunities. Relaxed, very understanding, has a great sense of humor and lightens the mood with his hilarious stories. MML is horrible as usual, he doesn't test on anything he hasn't taught. Gives test reviews of actual ?'s that will be on the test!

Fantastic teacher!! He loves math and will help you out in anyway posssible by giving extra credit or dropping your lowest quiz or homework grade. He takes it step by step in his PowerPoints as well. I would definitely recommend this teacher!!

He was always willing to work with students to help them improve their grade, he gives lots of extra credit and he is overall an amazing teacher. He explains things in a simple way to help students understand and he never wants to confuse you.

I loved professor Shramms class and coming from me-someone who hates math, that means a lot. He was hilarious and kept me awake throughout the course. hes not too lecture heavy but teaches you everything that you need to know for the test and gives good extra credit opportunities & great study guides. Also drops the lowest test score.

Im not the greatest at math but with the way professor Schramm taught, step by step I was able to do decent on exams & make it out with a B. exams are based on lecture notes & study guides. Mathlab hw can be a pain and theres not enough time to go over everything thats on it so just use mathway & go to ASC lab to get hw done.

Normally I am pretty decent at math but due to a lot of personal things going on in my life I started doing not so well and considered dropping the class but professor Shramm was always so encouraging in making me feel like I could do better on each exam that I decided not to drop & thank God I didnt. He tends to get a little off topic during lecture trying to tell stories, but other then that he explains everything very well when teaching. He genuinely cares and wants you to pass the class!

Wonderful math professor. Breaks everything down which makes it really simple to understand and he really encourages the class to ask questions. He is very friendly and likes to tell jokes and get off topic sometimes but it keeps the class fun and interesting and you still learn everything that you need to learn for the exams so I dont mind.

Great professor. Lectures are easy to understand and he happily answers any question. Though he does have tendency to go off on tangents, but they keep his lectures fun and interesting.

I took it during the Summer which I wouldn't recommend doing if you struggle with math because he doesn't have the time to go into detail with every single thing. He was still a great teacher though and offers lots of ways to get your grade up.

Really enjoyed the online class. Lectures were very clear and easy to follow, and he kept them somewhat entertaining. Exams were not tricky, the material came straight from the homework and exam reviews. Extra credit is available. If you do your work and stay on top of it, you will do great.

Took this class online. ton of homework but every math class I have taken has been this way so no surprise. Plus the more practice the better you do on exams. If you complete the 2 practice tests before the test he gives out 10 bonus points which is amazing if you are not the best at math! He also extended tests due dates to help us out!

I highly recommend Professor Schramm because he actually cares about passing his students and goes in depth to be sure students get it, there is a lot of extra credit opportunities, he is extremely welcoming, and he makes the lectures interesting. He makes you feel comfortable in the class to ask questions, so that you're not lost or left behind.

Mr. Schramm is one of the most encouraging and inspiring professors I have ever had. He makes you feel like you can do anything you want to in life. Even though he goes off topic sometimes, he still teaches what we need to learn. And the stories are absolutely hilarious. I wish he still taught calculus because I would definitely take him for it.

Easy course to pass

Professor Schramm was super engaging and his passion for his subject was so infectious. The way he structures the course grades and extra credit is simple and obviously well worked out through a lot of experience and care. He teaches difficult concepts in a way that is manageable for someone like me who is not exactly adept in algebra.

Highly recommended! Algebra has been a struggle for me, but I passed the course with an A. His lectures are light and to the point. He tells funny stories in between to lighten up the class. He cares about ur grades. Attendance helps with extra credit opportunities. E.c is also offered on MML for each test. Book isnt needed, but the code is.

I am HORRIBLE at math and was so nervous to take this class, but Schramm made everything so clear and really cared about his students so It helped. Took it online, so I had to teach myself a lot, but he provided a lot of resources and was clear on all of his tests. 4 tests (lowest is dropped) and a final.

I really loved taking Professor Schramm's class. I'm taking him again in the spring making it my third math class that I take with him. He offers A LOT of extra credit and he drops a lot of assignments. He really cares about his students and his lectures are really great. If I could, I would take him for every math course I need.

Professor Schramm is a clear teacher. He tends to go off topic, but if you can get past that, he's probably your best bet as far as finding a math teacher. He gives a lot of extra credit. I got extra credit for doing a British accent in class. The tests are hard, and the final is cumulative, but do the homework and extra credit. Nice guy.

I took College Algebra online, and I was really nervous going into it. After watching Prof. Schramm's recorded lectures, I was much more confident. He is funny, interactive, and helps you to remember difficult concepts with mnemonic devices. He offered extra credit on every test, which really helped me understand the content and boosted my grade.

Schramm was probably one of the best professors I've ever had. He's super funny, caring, and wants you to pass with an A. There's a bit of homework because of mymathlab but its all worth it in the end for your grade. He will drop extra credit 24/7 until you get that A but that doesn't mean slack off.

Exceptional. I would ace tests solely through his class recordings and his lengthy extra credit opportunities that would blatantly be a 50 question study guide for each 25 question test. His class recordings were so hilarious and helpful that I wanted to retake him in a physical class. DE students, take HS level Precalc before Col. Alg, it helped!

Tough online class to learn the material but the professor has excellent echo lab videos that make you feel as though you taking it in person. Watch the echo labs (take notes), do the HW and Pre-tests which he will give you an extra 10 points on the test for completing! If you must take algebra 1 online take it with Professor Schramm no doubt!

Taught college algebra and precal extremely well. But felt in trig he became distracted; making the class harder than it actually is. Math Lab is the most frustrating program that is required to use. A teacher should be able to personalize the the H/W. Math lab is not learning, its time consuming & often over the top harder than needed to be.

Hes a very caring professor. His pre-calc and algebra class is easy but trig is super hard after the first test. Math lab assignments need to be more related to what we do in class. I didnt study much and still got a B. But plenty of people have to retake the course because its difficult. Some tests arent multiple choice, and no calc

He's a great professor. He teaches math well, and is very supportive. The only downside is he tells a lot of stories, which makes the class interesting , but can make it hard for someone struggling in math. I didn't mind the stories, but it did take away from valuable class time for someone who needs it. So keep that if you need extra help.

Professor Schramm seemed like a nice guy. I took him online due to coivd and he gave us recordings of him teaching which were very helpful. I course messaged him a couple of times and he got back to be pretty quickly. 10/10 the only thing I didn't like was the fact that the tests on mymathlab wouldnt let us see why we got the questions wrong.

It was an online course so not a ton of interaction. Pretty much teach yourself. There are videos posted but some didn't really help much. I would use the software and watch the steps they did to teach myself, if I still didn't get it I'd youtube it. He was helpful if you reached out.

Professor Schramm is extremely helpful and his lectures are interesting. He would often talk about the origins of math concepts and explain where they came from. During class he was very open to answering questions and was very enthusiastic about teaching. He would often break up talking about difficult concepts by telling stories.

He does have recorded lectures, but the homework isn't very helpful. Make sure to study for your tests because there are 4 tests and a final. Each test is worth 15 percent of your grade while the final is 20 percent.

I absolutely loved this guy! I took the class online and I thought it was fairly easy. He provides recorded lecture which are very helpful and then assigns about 5 homework assignments per module. Test were exactly like the study guides he gave out. Never asked for work.

If you put in the effort, you will get excellent grades, as the course offers plenty of learning materials and the grading is relatively easy. Although Professor Schramm may take a while to respond to emails, he does make sure to get back to you. I highly recommend taking his class based on my personal experience.

This is my 2nd time taking this course, as I didn't do well with my old professor. Schramm is awesome! This was one of his online courses, and his echo360 pre-recorded lectures had me cracking up! Mr. Schramm is probably one of the best math professors at IRSC. He is super funny and teaches very well in my opinion. He cares for his students and helps them out a lot. This class is very easy to get an A in since he has tons of ways to receive extra credit. He does tend to stray away from teaching but he gets the work done.

It is optional to come to class because theres videos of the entire course online on Blackboard. When I did come to class he did make the class go by fast and was very helpful. He taught shortcuts and easy ways to do math problems as well as step by step. He is funny and will give you more attention if you are a pretty young girl that I've noticed.

The professor provides many different resources to help you learn including lecture videos from a past class, videos from his colleague, and videos tailored to each question in the homework assignments. I will say though, his lecture videos are over a decade old, and do not line up very well with the homework assignments, which got very annoying.

Professor Schramm makes math fun and engaging. The Echo360 lectures are super helpful, plus the homework and tests align well. Definitely use unstuckstudy ai for extra study prep - it's a game-changer! Overall, a great class.

I had Professor Schramm over the summer and his class was great! The homework assignments prepare you for tests and I'm thankful for the extra credit opportunities. He teaches you exactly what you will need to know for the tests. He was also very accommodating to me when I had to go out of state before the final. I would definitely recommend him!

Professor Schramm is an exceptional instructor who shows great understanding towards students facing challenges outside of class. If you miss a class, he's accommodating and doesn't make a fuss about it, which makes a big difference. The homework load is substantial, but if you stay on top of it and complete assignments regularly, you'll be fine.

It was my first time taking a math class online, was not a smart idea but my only option. He has in person lectures for each lesson. Those lectures are much better than the one he has uploaded following the textbook. There are 4 tests together worth 60%, final 20%, and hw 20%. Tests and final are not multiple choice and was done through pearson.

His course was disorganized due to switching from blackboard to canvas, gradebook was incorrect leading to a false assumption and wasn't fixed until the last 3 weeks. Hw is a lot worth 20%, 4 tests 60%, final 20%. There is no multiple choice so you're on a time crunch. His in-person lectures make more sense than the one he gives. Take it in person!

The grading scale and expectations were clear from the start, leaving no confusion about how grades would be determined. Tests are on MathXL, but if watch the lectures and complete all homework and practice tests you are fully prepared. Lots of homework but again you might see some of those questions on the tests. Will definitely take him again.

He is a great professor. Class was never boring and I loved his lectures. Great dude and funny. Recommend taking his class in person so you know exactly what you see on the tests.
