Boring course material, insane and entertaining prof. Enjoys Star Trek.
entertaining prof
very funny
detailed online notes, good teaching, fun classes, fair exams, very funny prof!
great sense of humour
funny, and strangely enough, his humor actually helps to clarify the material
Terrible course. Boring and unhelpful prof, boring textbook.
Very arrogant, unique sense of humor and what is up with that hair??
made a potentially boring class more interesting with strange humor

boring textbook, brutal exams, didn't like him at all
Great class. Odd sense of humor, but he made the concepts interesting.
boring class, tests are friggin hard, 3 tedious assignments to do
Difficult assignment but fair tests. Made a boring topic more interesting.
If you have to take this class make sure to have this prof, he made it bearable
hard hard hard class
hard exams

Of course I was talking, you weren't worth listening to! BORING
super HARD class, VERY BORING TEXTBOOK, the concepts are hard to be understood!
GREAT prof! Loved the way he wove examples into lecture!! :) Would have been nice to have more flashy notes... but not necessary... when the prof is this interesting! Text ain't half bad either... and material is okay.
Great Prof, Many examples. Down to earth. Don't come to school if you aren't there to learn.
Good prof, but has a few personality quirks. Exams weren't particularly good, but lectures were interesting.
Spent too much time making jokes and telling stories, not enough time covering material. Marking criteria was unclear for project. No one in the class knew what he wanted. Generally a very difficult prof. Not one nine given in the class
AMAZING Prof! The subject matter rocks!!! My favorite class by far! Not only does he talk humourously about interesting things, but he makes material that could be boring so interesting that one wants to learn more and more and more!!!!
funny hair style
boring class, hard exams
Excellent teacher. Missed his calling-should be doing stand up comedy on SNL. However, the course material is terrible unless you're REALLY interested in the millions of ways in which a ****eon pecking a key can be interpreted.
More difficult than other 200-level psych courses due to high cutoffs and written exam format.
He's a total ball of energy. Think trekker (startrek-starwars fanboy) turned stand-up comic
Very good prof. You can say that he's either funny or corny. Either way, he tries to make an otherwise boring course more interesting by telling funny stories and jokes. Exams he gives are moderately hard because of the format.
Only need one word to describe his Evolutionary Psych of Beauty class: AWESOME!!
His role model is David Brent. "nuff said.
An amazing prof. You can really tell that he loves what he does and that improves the quality of the course about a hundred times. He is a tough marker but you'll learn more than in any other course. It also helps that he's hilarious!
the worst ever, the only suggestion to everyone plans to take this course, DON'T!!!
what a waste of a good class by a prof that is so extremly annoying and arrogant. the guy is terrible and his humor is worse, his lectures are very unclear and exams very difficult.
Terrible prof for 281 - much better suited to high level psych classes. Exams are MC & written - written was always the easiest. Can be a difficult marker, but usually fair. He's pretty arrogant, but if you put that aside, he's a super smart guy & I learned a ton from him.
Funny guy! Made class interesting! Really knows his stuff!
This guy is a little neurotic. Jokes deadpan and so he tries to keep them going...bad! exams require tons of deatails and his examples didn't really help you remember the theories on the exam...just the 'jokes.'
Only reason people don't like him is probably because they didn't do well. You have to work hard in this course. But he's hilarious and a great teacher!
He knows he's a geek and he doesn't care. He really knows his stuff, especially in Evolutionary, you can ask him anything. Yes, his jokes sometimes deadpan into awkward silence, but at least he TRIES. He makes me laugh. Oh, and I voted him "Hot" because he finally cut off the pony tail. Go Snyder!
thanks for getting that haircut..this man knows his material inside out..excellent in-class...not everythings he says/does is funny but he keeps you interested..you have to work hard for this class..3 assign, MT and final..do well on assignments cause theyre worth 35..boring but not terrible content
Terrible class, text and prof. his jokes are a waste of time and do not help at all for exams. very annoying.
He's a little stiff at times, but overall he knows what he's doing and his exams aren't hard if you read!
If you attend class and ignore the jokes, you will be fine. I can sort of see why people would have a problem with him but none of those concerns actually address his teaching: lousy jokes does not make a crappy prof. He'll take lots time after class to address your questions,
Snyder's a killer prof. Some of the material he has to cover is a tad dry, but he tries to make it interesting. His requirements, such as poster presentations can be really fun if you're not a slacker. His 4XX classes are a blast and I totally recommend them if you want a break from the mundane.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!! Wake me up when this is over, or at least kill me.
my goodness. this guy thinks he's the funniest thing and his jokes are awful. not to mention the material to be covered. bleh. avoid this class. or perhaps just this prof. the textbook is also very dry.
good prof, funny (which helps given the material he's covering), overall interesting subject matter, presents it well. BE ADVISED though, he posts lecture notes hours before the class starts, seems a bit controlish on that end. Thats my only complaint!!Enjoyable overall otherwise.
The material may be a little dry, but he tries his hardest to make it interesting and succeeds! His ridiculous jokes make the class enjoyable and easier to pay attention to. There is a lot to memorize for the tests, but they are reasonable. I recommend this Snyder, hes hilarious.
Snyder is awesome!! His jokes and analogies seem kinda corny but they really help to make the course less dry and more understandable. He's also very helpful if you see him at office hours. Be prepared to study hard though.
Snyder is absolutely crazy, one minute he is funny and the next you think that this guy just got out from Albert Hospital. I would defintely recommend his 302 class and 486 is good if you don't mind group work.
i have never read a more BORING txt book in my life. fortunately most of the chapters aren't as long as most other psych courses. teacher=ok
i don't know what was worse, his terrible jokes or the girl in the front who laughed at every single one of those terrible jokes.
He is a madman and I mean this in the best way possible. He made it very clear what the exams would look like and class reflected it. Totally nutty and I thought his classes were definitely entertaining, bad jokes and all. Knows his stuff and is very helpful and smart.
Snyder is a good prof. I've actually learnt alot from you. But this course is VERY HARD, consider that it is only 200 level. There is alot of reading and work involved. I would not recommend this course if you want a GPA booster.
Totally hard class with a really boring textbook. I love psychology (it's my major) and this class, despite Snyders attempt to constantly be funny, was not worth it.
Really liked Mr. Snyder as a prof. The course was very hard, need to study alot for the exams (even that might not help!). The text book was useless. Found the concepts very interesting though.
He's a good prof but his jokes get old very fast. I've taken a couple of his classes and found his notes are very good but his constant use of bugs to demonstrate his point can get a little tedious
I started off with high hopes for this class. But just how it goes in every E-True Hollywood Story, "... then it all came crashing down." Snyder's notes are awful, the book is incredibly dry, and the TA doesn't know what is going on. If you need a science psych credit, try something else.
His jokes are kinda lame, but he is the nicest prof I have had in my 5 years of university. psych 486 (advertising) was the best class I have taken. He is totally approachable and will go out of his way to help you.
The material in this class was really boring but Dr. Snyder actually made it somewhat interesting. He tells lots of lame jokes but that's what makes the class fun. Also, he always was super helful in answering questions and explaining things. I did well in this class and I think that was mostly due to Dr. Snyder. He is awesome!
Worst class i EVER took!
Snyder isnt a bad prof at all, his jokes do get old very fast (I found him annoying at first). But he explains concepts very well, if you go to class, theres no reason for you not to do well in the class. His lecture notes are similar to the book, and assignments arent hard as long as you go to class.
Yeah, the assignments are easy, but the TA really seems to enjoy marking them badly
Snydes is a gross human being who tries to make friends by telling retarded jokes and just makes a fool of himself however, the course is very easy, he tries hard, and anybody who says its hard obiviously put no effort in. Take this if you need a psycho science credits
GGAAAA!!!! If I have to hear one more cuckoo clock or banana slug analogy on habituation, or kimchi story for food aversion I will throw up. So annoying. I hated the scullet.
Easy, easy course but too many lame jokes from Snyder and the TA is probably one of the worst most inconsistent marker on the planet. Written part of tests a complete joke but a few too many ambiguous dumb MC questions to try and make it hard. Also very dumb that he will ask questions from the text and I mean like foot notes!
Just a note on his T.A. for 281 Fall 05 semester: He is USELESS!! When I went for help on an assignment question he told me to search Yahoo for an answer because he wasn't familiar with the notes or the text! I was so frustrated that I ended up sitting on the stairs in the Psych wing of BioSci, bawling. Thanks a lot man, good luck with the rats.
Tries too hard to be funny, which detracts from his clarity when explaining concepts. Also, don't bother bringing any assignments or exams to him after because he's stubborn and doesn't like it when students disagree with him. My friend was short of an A by less than a tenth of a percent and he wouldn't budge.
I had to take this class for degree. I missed an A- by like 1% and he wouldn't give it to me. He was helpful with concepts though, and a pretty funny guy.
Ok yes his jokes are totally lame and he tries really hard to be funny. But I went into this class because I needed the credit and actually LOVED it. Because of his lame jokes and supposed wit, he makes the classe interesting and keeps me awake. As for the TA, well Winter 06, he seemed ok and didn't mark hard on the assignments.
best best best prof in the whole world. I'd marry him if I could. Hah ... thats how wonderful he is. His lectures are very interesting, and impossible to fall asleep in. Very highly recommended.
I had to take this class for my degree, but he is seriously one of the GREATEST profs EVER!! His lectures are really interesting, and others may call his jokes lame, but I thought he was hilarious!! Seriously, if you have to take this class, take it from him! It's totally worth it.
The class material is pretty easy, you are not learning anything really new compared to psych 104 and 105. Snyder needs to lighten up though. He goes crazy if u talk, read a magazine or listen to music. Also his jokes are sooooo bad, once I counted and he told 60 jokes in a class, but i guess it helps the time go faster. I would suggest this class
Snyder is my absolute favorite prof. He is extremely smart and his lectures are highly entertaining and very intersting. Ok, so his jokes are lame (still kinda funny), but I actually learned information relevant to daily life in his classes. I would recommend him as a prof to anyone. People warned me not to take his class, but I LOVED him!
First and foremost, this class is an easy psych class. Secondly, he is a good lecturer. His jokes, while usually not too funny, help time pass during class and help to explain concepts. Thirdly, this class is not curved, so take advantage of the few classes that are not curved and easier than most classes.

The most passionate atheist I have ever seen. There is no debating him about anything- he really thinks he knows his stuff. He also thinks he's funny -which is entertaining. I enjoyed the class.
Snyder's class is really fun to go to. He makes a lot of jokes that help explain the material. The only thing I have problems with him is that he is really mean and sarcastic to some of the students in class.
I've taken 281 as well from him and he is AMAZING. The best prof I've ever had. If I could take every course from him I would. He explains material SO clearly, he's funny, you can do well on his tests and assignments. Although his courses are a lot of work because he asks for assignments and papers, its worth it. He's my hero.
Not on a curve and easy to get an A, but this class didn't make me a Dr Snyder fan. He was rude to students and wasted a lot of time with irrelevant stories, ending the night class at 8:00 nearly every week. Even with all the time he spent on topics his explanations were often unclear. Overall, it's an easy class if you can put up with the prof.
The class is not difficult if you may a decent amount of attention to the text. Snyder wants to come off more easy going than he actually is.
This class is a fairly easy one, and his exams and assignments are pretty much straight out of the textbook. Going to the lectures was more or less a waste of time. Dr. Synder tried to be funny but really came off as more ignorant and disrespectful at times. He also wastes alot of time on stories rather than getting through the material in class.
I found him to be very off topic almost all the time. I found it so frustrating that I quit attending lectures and I managed fine with just reading the textbook, but kind of a waste of money. His class was avg psych course difficulty but I would avoid if possible.
If you like to skip this is the class to do it. Read the text like its your life and you will pull off at least a B+. The assignments are easy and the exams are straight from the text. His classes are so boring and winded that you feel like killing yourself, stay away and enjoy the easy grade.
Lame jokes... I was sooo bored every week... I would have dropped it after the first hour if this class wasn't required for my degree... I was so not interested in this topic after taking this class but if you can manage to read the text, you'll be fine.
He is a really funny professor and his classes are stimulating and interesting to take.
This prof is a complete and total fool. Attending his class was a waste of my time. He spent most of the class attempting to be funny and failing miserably. He would be much more effective if he just explained the material and left his SNL sketch comedy dreams at home. Fortunately, the material is easy. Read the text and you'll be fine.
This class is interesting and easy. The prof is horrible. He is very rude and spends more time reciting lame jokes that don't help you learn. Attending class was wasteful but the powerpoint notes and text are good. Test and assignments are fairly easy.
Most useless class ever. So boring. Not funny. And the assignments are easy but just dumb. Read the book, and use the classtime to do something actually productive.
I enjoyed having Snyder as a professor, having taken two courses taught by him. He frequently incorporates jokes into his lectures, some of which are humorous. His exams were fair in both the grading process and in terms of the material tested (i.e. it covered the entire curriculum and did not include minutiae).
This is his specialty so he knows his stuff, he's very enthusiastic and tells interesting anecdotes about the material. He's also helpful outside of class and willing to spend his own time discussing material. I would recommend him for this class.
Snyder really knows his stuff but his arrogant personality can rub me the wrong way. Overall he provides excellent examples to clarify the material. Psyco 305 in and of itself is a really interesting course and i recommend it to anyone. All in all how can i complain about a guy who gave me a 2 day extention when i lost half of my term paper?
Such boring material but he made it interesting! I wish he would have taught 381 because he taught way better than my 381 prof taught the material. Tells some funny jokes, but exams were a bit hard.

This guy is a joke. If you put his lectures on tape you could fall asleep after the first sentence. Don't bother going to class because it is really redundant. Read the text and his notes online and you will do just fine.
I took this class just because Snyder was teaching it, I love this prof. His lectures are so clear and his exams are very fair. I wish he was teaching some grad courses, I'm gonna miss him.
Bit of a windbag. Exams are arbitrary and ridiculous (average for psych) and assignments could not be more trivial and juvenile. Not the worst in the department, but that would take special effort (I'm lookin' at you, Roy). Podcasts are great (when they work and when sped up to 1.6x with Winamp).
Classes are boring...strong emphasis on textbook use. Assignments are difficult. Funny to a point, then it gets old. He takes a LONG time to post grades--even when the exams are all multiple choice. Anybody who studies the textbook well should do well in his class.
He is entertaining (sort of lame) but it keeps the class interesting, hie assignments are easy marks if you spend the time to do them. He teaches everything very clearly and makes it easy to understand. I would definitely take a class of his again. Also the text for this class was very readable and short.
Can spend 10 min on a point that only needs 2min. Has some good examples, but tries to joke about everything, which is tiring. Makes a podcast for each class, and assignments can be grade boosters. No curve but brutal grade standards. Concepts aren't too difficult but has dirty/tricky exam questions. Pretty good textbook.
Loved everything about this class and the way Snyder taught it. Assignments help with your grade and exams were very fair.
I've taken all his classes offered, he's amazing. You need to go to class and do your readings, but if you put in the work you'll get rewarded. He really wants to help out his students, and explains everything so clearly. I wish he taught more classes, I love this guy.
Alright, he's a pretty good prof and all but I wanna warn. Highest mark last semester in the entire class was an A- (you can look it up). Not even 1 A/A+. It's easy to do OK in his class but if you want a high mark it becomes difficult since assignment marking is kind of random and even having the full answer is no guarantee at a high mark.
If you're going to take a night class, take it with this guy. He has so much energy and enthusiasm. Good sense of humour too--well, a bit corny at times, but he tries. Material is challenging. No curve though, which I find kind of disturbing considering the class size. Podcasts of the lectures are available online for those who don't attend class.
Synder is a WICKED prof. He posts podcasts which are great for studying, and in case you miss a class. His exams are fair, but the grading scale is too hard! His explainations are very clear and he is really great about answering questions in class.
Absolute wind bag...Grading scheme totally unresonable. Ruined an interesting topic. Snyder should get off his high horse and start helping students instead of trying to crush their gpa.
Decent course. Records & posts his lectures which is very useful. It does encourage you to skip & procrastinate though. He's really cheesy with his jokes, and could finish the lecture in a third of the time if he just focused on lecturing and stop going off topic to make lame jokes; but by reading previous posts, looks like he hasn't & won't change
His powerpoint slides are pretty useless and he wastes way too much time on jokes and speeds through some of the points when he runs out of time at the end of the class. He seems fairly approachable in class during breaks but is no where near as nice during office hours, and doesn't really reply to email either.
This guy LOVES to hear himself talk, although the podcasts are a great idea and were really helpful when studying, when you go through them you realize how much time that man wastes. For each topic you do not need 13 examples plus a funny little story no one really cares to hear.As was said, the lectures that take 3 hours could be 1.5.
This man loves to hear himself talk, and isn't nearly as funny as he thinks he is. Most students stopped coming to lecture. Read the book, spend lots of time on the two assignments, read the ppt slides, and you'll do fine--though he doesn't curve, so there' a chance you could get the highest mark in the class and still only end up with an A-.
Snyder is a joke. 7 examples for ONE concept? 7 JOKES for every slide? Class time could be cut in HALF if he didn't love the sound of his voice so much, but unfortunately, he does. Total Windbag.
Absolute joke, do not bother taking his class. Wastes an inordinate amount of time with useless jokes. Examples are generally extremely basic, and do not reflect what will be on the test. Tests are difficult, and grading scheme is very high. If you do take his class, do not bother attending lecture.
Whoooo boy. Can this guy drag classes out or what? I swear, I have never met a professor make 3 hrs drag out so long by dropping joke after punishing joke, like some second-rate comic gone horribly demented. If he'd just cut back on the jokes and realize that his class isn't the Chuckle Hut, we'd be done in an hour and his class would much better.
HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Makes class drag and if you even ask a question he replies in a way that makes you feel like a complete moron and then doesn't even answer it properly, just read the text.
I think this guy was my favourite prof this term. Yes, he tells a lot of jokes, and no, they aren't always wonderful, but it gives your brain a chance to absorb the material and they actually helped me remember the information. Personally I don't see the problem. I expected to hate this course, and I enjoyed it. And got a pretty easy A at that.
Snyder teaches a ridiculously dragged out night class, huge waste of time. On the upside he did post podcasts that made class optional (and you could skip those stupid 20 minute long examples and jokes) Tests are easy if you study even a little bit. My mark got dragged down on assignments that were worth way too much and marked way too arbitrarily.
I agree with many of the comments below. class could be shortened to an hour by cutting out even half the jokes, and the prof is not particularly approachable. that being said, the material is very interesting and easily applicable to everyday life, so it is not hard to memorize. if you do take this course, spend A LOT of time on the assignments
I think he is so cute. I love that he approached every lecture thinking that we wanted to be there. His jokes were terrible but I love how the 'mature' aka old students respond to his jokes with hearty laughter :) This class is for people who take night classes SO don't call the babysitter just read the textbook whispers *you'll be fine*
His jokes are terrible and the people who laugh just egg him on. The assignments were difficult to do without going to class so I suggest going. I agree with everyone who says the lectures could be cut down at least an hour if he would make less or no jokes. Kinda felt bad for the guy, but I'm not paying him to try to be funny.
Make a lot of jokes, yes. And I suppose they are just not good enough for all of you with a sophisticated sense of humour. But surely it is better to have someone who jokes a lot than someone who makes the class painfully dry and boring, no? Anyway, I quite enjoyed the class.
Skip all his lectures learn from the material posted online and (fast forward through) his podcasts. He has the most annoying voice ever. This man loves to hear himself talk and has an annoying upper inflection when he speaks or cracks sarcastic jokes. You aren't a kid, Snyder. Stop talking..like...this?
I've taken all his classes and loved every one. He is an amazing prof, the best I've had in my 6 years of university.
Horrible jokes causing awkward silence. Very patronizing, talks down to students. likes to make remarks lamenting "the poor situation of our education system" if you dont know about an obscure or irrelevant piece of literature.
Easy material, easy exams so long as you know the material. Awkward nerd to the extreme. Miserable jokes and absolutely clueless. Decent guy to approach one on one though. podcasts and posted notes make it easy to not go to class.
This man is a useless excuse for a prof.He never responds to emails,he marks HARD and arbitrarily.Obsessed with himself. If you want to hear a grown man talk like a little kid/frog-voice all day about his 3 degrees, take it.Otherwise he puts a bad mark on the psyc department and should be fired.Demeaning to students in marking comments-HORRIBLE!!!!!!
WORST professor i have ever had...half the course is based on STUDENT evals, what is he too lazy to mark?!? students are out to get you!. he has no heart. every time i went to see him for help he ended up making me cry. absolutely no feedback. does NOT want you to succeed. should NOT be ALLOWED to teach. what the hell was the dean thinking?!?!
Although he is very knowledgeable about the material, he often explains concepts in a roundabout manner. Poorly worded exam questions which are incredibly vague but requires unnecessarily specific answers. Unlikely to accept thinking "outside the box" even when reasoned logically. Very difficult to know what he is looking for in an answer.
This prof is terrible. All he does all day is talk about the cancer he had 20 years ago,in order to get pity, and all his education and degrees.Doesnt respond to emails, marks extremely hard. Will give you a 0 with no explanation.Material is interesting but Snyder ruins it.Need a new prof for this course, and get Snyder out of here and on the street!!
I did enjoy the way he did sometimes explain things. He told some interesting stories that helped to keep the story in your mind, but I can see how he will commmonly ramble on and on and not get to the point. His multiple choice questions I did not think were too difficult, but his written answers were quite ridiculous. Even if you had information
Small class, no exams but he lectured the entire time to about a total of 8-12 students with no discussion or participation type exercises (He loves to hear himself talk). No point in attendance but he would send flustered e-mails about low attendance, I wonder why? A lot of work outside or class that should have been done during class hours.
Great professor, great class. Notes follow the text pretty well so just read the text and go over the notes and youre golden. He also puts podcast of each lecture online in case you miss class. Paper is nice since the topics are so broad.
MEMORIZE TEXT. MEMORIZE NOTES. Dont need to go to class because he uploads podcasts - which I find so much better because you actually listen to them as opposed to doodling in class while hes talking. Hard to get an A in this class. Paper is really dumb and brings mark down. Midterm 1 was hard, 2 was easier but final was hard. Overall- STUDY HARD.
Good course to take. Snyder's 3 hour lectures are incredibly difficult to sit through and pay attention for the entire time, but he makes up for that by posting podcasts of all his lectures (extremely useful!) Exams are not too difficult and assignments are time consuming but they are not impossible to get a good mark on.
Nice guy. Tries hard to make lectures lively and fun. Unfortunately, he is not careful with his wording (spoken or written) and responds to questions without even making an attempt to understand them (again, both spoken and written).
Oi Vey. Get to the point! Snyder is nice enough and tries to be funny, but his lectures hit a certain point after which they just drag on forever. He spends far too much time on irrelevant jokes and examples and it gets painful. He does post podcasts, which is nice. Bottom line: read the textbook and you do fine. Seriously.
He tries to be funny even on exams. Had a lot of trouble understanding his question cause humour was apparently more important than clarity!
Dr. Snyder is awesome! He is so knowledgeable on the topics that he teaches. If you take the time to actually go and see him outside of class he is really helpful and really does want the best for his students. Just because the material is so accessible doesn't mean you don't need to try. Just like any other class, study and you'll do well.
A really horrible prof for a night class. He talks and talks and doesn't get to the point. He just makes so many stupid jokes. Class is easy to do decently in, but it's hard to get that A, if that's what you are looking for. Overall, just a really boring class. Nice that he posted podcasts though.
He is a really helpful kind prof and he wants his students to do well, yes he is quirky and goes off on tangents but I would rather a prof who keeps your attention than one who never deviates from the material and bores you, this material could be DRY but his enthusiasm and side comments stop that from happening. STUDY HARD and you'll do well :)
as a prof he was alright, the only plus for coming to class was that u dont fall behind.the text had alot of interesting reallife examples. test were not hard but not easy either. hated how assignments were worth 40%. however, its not curved so pulling off a B for me was do-able. not the hardest psych course but def not straightforward either.
I went to one class and left when he said he records all his classes and puts them online. Fast forwarded A LOT through them though cause he babbles and goes on too many tangents. Was glad to be able to fast forward all that garbage, ended up with a great mark
Not the greatest prof, but nice guy who tries hard to make you laugh. Podcasts for all the classes, so if you missed a lecture it was okay. Babbles alot and doesn't directly refer to the textbook. Assignments were doable. The final was tough. Tests on applied knowledge and situations rather than straight theory and definitions. Wouldn't recommend.
His lectures were not the most exciting, especially in the three-hour classes in Spring session. I felt that he spent a lot of time talking about a small amount of material, which was probably helpful for some students as he gave a lot of examples, but I found it tedious. Reading the textbook was more helpful, but he's a decent guy, very smart.
I liked this guy, he did his best to make learning and behaviour entertaining. All his lectures are podcasted (which is very useful), and he's a nice guy who'll gladly answer your questions. Exams are applications of the ideas, but at this level, that isn't too difficult. I reccomend him.
He shouts all the time and the material is very boring. It's mostly about lab rats and pigeons. The assignments are really tough, so make sure you give yourself lots of time to get them done. He also allows a lot of interruptions that are irrelevant to the class. Would not recommend. Could be really interesting if someone else taught it.
Very Nice guy, very approachable. Did not enjoy his class, found it hard to study for exams because he explains things in a very round about way and often drags on concepts, felt like the classes didnt really help as much as they should. I felt like i had to study from the text book. Assignments are long but do able, just takes time.
This class was actually kind of hard for a 200 lvl. Snyder is a nice guy, but he tells jokes for 1/4 of the class. I found the wording of his exams tricky, and it is all applied questions. Did well on the 1st assignment, but I worked on the 2nd in advance and got a low mark, so make sure you understand the questions. Assignments are worth a lot.
Awesome prof, one of my favorites, made a three hour night class bearable, absolutely hilarious and makes things really interesting
The class was interesting a few times throughout the semester but his constant jokes extended class too much. He also allowed a girl to interrupt every 5 times. One of the keener know it alls so that was annoying. But if you study good 95% of the test will be a joke, the last 5 % make no sense,no one got an A+.What he wanted on assignment not clear
