Definately the best professor to take for poly sci or philosophy. He is probably the most educated professor there

I've had the honor to take 3/4 undergrad classes he teaches and he's simply the best. 8 degrees, 4 of them Phds. He's absolutely amazing. His classes fill up fast, even the 150+ ones, so sign up ASAP. The best.

My favorite professor! Explains things clearly w/ great examples, and easy midterm + final (both are 30 matching questions and the final isn't cumulative) if you take good notes and pay attention to the lectures. We never use the text in class so save your $. Good sense of humor too.

Best Professor I have had in a non-education course. If you have to take political science you have to take it with him. Don't buy the book because you will never need it. He lectures from his own notes and only tests you on what he lectures. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Great teacher! You can miss every class except the class before the midterm and before the final. I just think the you should go to every class and got the note from the class since you are paying for it.

An awesome teacher. I had no interest in poly sci before this class and now i'm a poly sci minor. Minimal effort is required and he doesn't take attendace but his classes are so interesting & funny you should go. The man is so well educated that he barely uses notes to lecture and speaks from personal experience making the class even better.

first time you take his midterm, it's a little rough but when the final comes around you'll have a better idea how he makes up his test. He tends to curve grades. Just take good notes and try to attend class as much as possible.

I have taken every undergrad course Dr. Soupios has offered. This man is brilliant,witty & very intelligent.Any prof that teachs intro Pol Sci, CAN'T COMPARE to Dr. Soupios. Don't graduate w/o taking a class w/ Soupios.You can shoot the breeze with him or ask him questions about class. He is very generous with his time. He is the BEST Here. Period.

Though I hear that his regular classes are in a lecture hall, I have him for Honors Poly Sci 303. He's amazing. If you want an interesting lecture with a teacher who's practically a genius, go for him. Though, the only grades (in Honors) are a midterm, a final and the paper (which may be 2 papers instead of one 10-page long one).

I never thought political science could be not boring. This guy is awesome. if you have the option, get him as your professor for poli sci 1 and 2 its the only reason I was able to even stay awake :-P

The material is ver interesting, and he presents it well. The tests were horrible though, matching 33 questions. I know it's tough to grade 300 tests, but he has the find a better way. The tests are detailed and insignificant. Show up, take notes on everything, and study, and maybe you'll pass.

any teacher who gets a bad rating here should sit and watch this guy work. very knowledgable/informative/clear/concise. no suprises. tests are a little wierd but its ALL in the notes.take him for as many classes as he teaches. worth the price of tuition no B.S.

Easy...go to all his classes, take good notes...he gives 2 exams the whole semester midterm and final pass them and u'll do great...he doesnt take attendence but if u dont have the notes for the exams...ur screwed!

One of my favorite professors of all time. Even if you're not interested in the class he will make it fun for you. Definitely take good notes in the class - you'll need them. Class is not boring, as POL usually is...he'll break up the lecture with random stories about his family or something. Tests are matching but not too bad and he curves...nice.

EASY A. All you have to do is: 1) attend lectures and take good notes and 2) reread notes before exam.

This course is amazing. The lecture setting prevents him from taking attendance, but don't miss a class! 30 out of the 33 questions on the midterm, and the same with the final, are based on what was said in class. Take good notes and you'll get an A! He's got a sense of humor and knows his stuff. I learned a lot.

He is very intelligent, knows exactly what he is talking about, and makes the classes interesting. You think that just because his tests are matching they will be easy-they are the most ambiguous tests i've ever taken. I'm on deans list and his class is bringing down my average. On another note i've been to every class and take notes like no other.

Professor Supious is who inspired me to become a political science major. He keeps a very large lecture class hooked with his comedy and blunt honesty about America's Government. I would HIGHLY recommend his class!

Soupios is awesome! although he has some classes that are semi-boring,they are extremely rare. he manages to keep a lecture hall of 200+ college students entertained and interested for most classes, which is hard to do. only a midterm and afinal and attendance isn't mandatory. best polisci prof post has and one of the best profs to teach in general

Just want to say I have never been more interested in a class than his honors political science classes. I am not as religious anymore after taking this class. He's an awesome guy and he will always be willing to help you out. Tests are hard, but if you really develop a way to define the terms he throws out in class, you should do well.

he's a great teacher but i wish his classes were smaller and he was able to really interact with the students. i took a class with him in the fall and then in the summer and really enjoyed the summer session better. other than that, he's pretty cool. make sure if you're not always in class, go to hoxie hall for that binder for the notes!

Although I do enjoy the class the format of the midterm and final are unfair. Going into the test knowing the material seems nearly irrelevant, being aware of his specific terms and phrases seems to count for more. If you cannot take two matching formatted tests for your whole grade, do not take the class.

The most intellectual professor I've ever had. His honors class is much more difficult than the regular classes, but if you read, analyze and really put time and effort into understanding the paper topics he assigns, you will leave the class with a good grade as well as real knowledge about western politics.

Mr. Soupios is an absolutely incredible teacher. He is understanding and kind. He is clearly passionate about what he does and is an inspiration to each of his students. its been some years since I had Dr Soupios as a professor. IF you're taking his class and want to learn something of the subject you will be FINE! Slack, and you burn.

Dr. Soupios is one of the smartest men I have ever met. He has four ph.ds, four masters and one bachelors degree (religion, biology, poli.sci and philosophy). I mean, when a man has got all of these degrees, in which way all of them contribute to the different aspects of politics and human nature in general, you are guaranteed to learn alot.

Awesome professor. Took poly sci one with him last semester. Attend class and take notes and you will be fine. There is a midterm and a final which are both matching. Those are the only 2 grades of the semester.

This professor is one of the best professor at cw post. You will learn a great deal in his class. Also his test are not bad as long as you study and attend class and take notes. Also he gives you a review sheet for the final and midterm.

Soupios is the most honest and caring person I've ever met. He takes his job personally and puts all he has into it. He's entertaining as well as fair, I honestly don't see how people fail his classes.

He clearly spoke, but you had to really listen for the notes to take so you are prepared for his exams. He also made you think, which helps A LOT

In poly sci 2, you get two grades. One mid-term and one final, they are the easiest things in the world if you just go to class and take decent notes.

Amazingly amazing teacher and guy even outside the class. His favorite word is FOLKS. Take his class and you will learn a lot.

This may be the best professor I've had and am going to have. He is an amazing teacher and truly enjoys his work and is dedicated to his students. He makes sure you comprehend what he is teaching, and does reviews on any questions you have before taking the midterm and final. You are very lucky if you get to take his class at some point!

Wouldn't recommend taking him if it's a huge class. It was over 200 students enrolled in the class I took with him, and even though the lectures were fun(and long!), the exams were completely standardized and not with much room for showing what you really know. Also, it was midterm(50%) and final(50%). No room for a bad test with other words.

Very interesting lectures, but kind of overwhelming.

I literally LOVE this man. He is one of the absolute best professors at this school. He has been here for a while and definitely knows what he is doing. He gives a lot of good information during lectures, which are helpful for the midterm and final. For the papers, you read excerpts from some books and are well set. I urge you to take his classes.

This is the BEST teacher you will ever have. I LOVE HIM! Just go to class & take notes for an A. He's engaging & makes it so easy to understand. His lecture is amazing, easy testz. His pol 2 and 3 are the very few classes I enjoy going to.

He only gives a midterm and final, and they are extremely difficult!. You can not memorize the material; you have to understand it.

This professor is awesome. He is clear, concise, and professional. He is charismatic, and knowledgeable. Would take his course anytime. He is one of the best Professors I've ever had.

He's really passionate about Political Science and the world in general. I took many of his classes, a few the big lecture hall style, and regardless of whether you care about the subject, he'll keep you excited. He's funny and entertaining, which is rare for a professor with so many doctorates. Take his class, you won't regret it.

Supios is known for his 90 minute long lectures with no homework, but the final and midterm counts for 50%. Studying for a vocabulary test is essential. Witty and intelligent. Knows exactly what he's talking about.

If you attend all classes, don't screw around, and actually take notes and study them, you WILL beyond any doubt do well. Although, if you don't take his class seriously, and just mess around on your electronics during class, prepare to fail.

Not really sure how I felt about this class. At first I was a little nervous due to the fact that there was only a midterm and final. I failed the midterm and studied really hard for the final and ended up with a B+. He ends up curving your grade. He is a great guy and very easy to access out of class. If you're interested in the topic I recommend!

I wasn't excited to be taking a political science class at first but as i went through the semester this became one of my favorite classes. He kept the class interesting even though it's a lecture class. The class is an easy A if you show up and take notes. He also curves your grade at the end of the semester. i definitely loved him as a professor.

If you just show up and take some decent notes it's an easy A. Only two grades (midterm and final) but they're literally just matching words and definitions, and he gives you review sheets. I actually found his lectures very interesting and I'm now taking him again for another semester.

Soupios is hilarious!!! He won't care to learn your name or if you showed up to class but if you don't you won't do well. There are no presentations, nothing on blackboard. Just his voice speaking for the whole hour and a half. It can get boring at times but take good notes and you will do fine.

Sometimes explains in one and is written differently on tests. you don't need to go to class but if you don't you probably won't do well on testsl curves grade at the end of the semester

Tests seem hard at first but he tried everything he can to help, even curves the whole class at the end of the semester

Hands down one of my favorite professors here. Very well respected and knowledgeable. While he doesn't take attendance I would recommend going because thats all the information on the Midterm and final. You don't get any outside papers or homework just a midterm and a final. Would definitely take again.

Professor Soupios is great. He knows his stuff, and discusses a lot of information in a short period of time. For POL304, you definitely need to attend class, write notes, and actively listen to the lectures. Participation is not required. If you read the material he assigns and do the papers, you will be okay.

Soupios was a great professor, personality wise. He was a decent professor, teaching wise. If you listen to every single thing he says and write down every thing he says, and carefully look over it every day, you will no doubt get an A+. However, he does talk for the whole class, so thats a tough feat. I enjoyed the class but would not take again

I really liked Dr. Soupios. He doesn't count attendance but definitely go and write everything down and don't paraphrase. A lot of the test questions are written in the exact same way he said it in class. He's really funny and makes the class interesting. Would 100% take again.

I took his class on Greek History over two decades ago. I felt so inspired that I changed my major.

He's a great professor, curves up but I won't take this sort of class again. I really had no interest in politics but needed a liberal arts elective. Lots of note taking and you have to study, which I should of done more of but he was nice enough to give me a passing grade.

I took classes with Dr Soupios 2 decades ago and he helped me get my masters degree. His classes and assistance with my disertation helped make me a better human being.

This course is clear cut. The professor presents the material well.

He is an amazing person and is willing to help you as long as you show him the effort. The grades are based off of the midterm and final only. If you fail the midterm then you will most likely fail the class as its only these two exams that get graded.

very funny and made class interesting , was an effective lecturer. beware , he only grades two things . I attended every class and took extensive notes but i'm not a good test taker so I didn't receive the grade I would've liked. still , he curves grades and is really an awesome prof

Awesome, awesome professor. Highly recommend taking a class with Soupios. While the lectures consist of him mainly talking to explain material, I never found myself losing interest, I was always engaged. Great class, great professor, worth it overall.

If you ever get the chance to attend one his smaller classes, such as Political Science, then your world view of waking up to the subject gets ignited. Not only does he take the classics, such as Plato, Hobbes or Locke but he puts them in their historical times and narrative to actually explains their actions, and makes you question yours.

He basically gives you all the answers to the two tests you take, just study the review sheet using your notes and not the internet. Easy to follow along and his lectures are very sensible and understandable.

Soupios is an amazing professor to have for Pol 2. It is so obvious that he loves what he teaches, and he just wants to give that information to you. His tests are super easy, just match the word or phrase to an associated phrase. The only readings are pretty simple and he can clarify anything that you don't understand
