He is a very hardcore speech teacher. While he always seems to offer help to his students, he is a very hard grader when it comes to them and is very demanding.
he is no help. not willing to work things out with students. i had technical difficulties throughout class, and he wouldn't help me out any on allowing me to re-submit things or re-do anything. he sets you up to fail online.
Will make you work for it. I can say that I am a better speaker.
Very helpful. He loves what he teaches and is quite good at it. He gives superb feedback and actually cares about you and how you do. Would recommend him to anyone who asks!
For so much work being crammed into 8 weeks, it was definitely harder than if I had a normal class but, I still feel like I learned as much as I would in a normal class. The work provided biweekly was implemented on the next speech so that was nice. The only weakness from this course would come from the students part and their inability to keep up.
210 online is hard. i thought it wouldn;t be but it is. u need your own audience and must be ready to work. the course is short and super intensive. be prepared. he is nice but makes you work for it
I took COMM210 in a FIVE WEEK INTENSIVE. Hardest thing I've ever done, but honestly learn from it and it'll help you substantially. There's a lot of reading, but its worth it. There's a lot of work, but its worth it. Don't expect an easy A. Mike is amazing too. He has passion for teaching and respects hard work. Take this class, and emerge a BOSS!
I am currently taking this online class in eight weeks and you truly have to work for the grade you receive. He makes it clear at the beginning of the class that you cannot skate by. You must manage your time well and make sure you do EVERY assignment. Participation and effort is key. A lot of self work, but he is always there if you need help.
hardest online comm professor ever. I worked my butt off on speeches and he'd give me a C or D. quizzes are short answers. AVOID STORR
Follow the syllabus guidelines and you pass this course. Also email him and he usually responds quickly! However he is a tough grader he expects you to really go in depth with your answers.
Mr. Storr has always offered to help in any way possible for you to receive the grade you think is reasonable for this class. I've met with him multiple times for help finding a topic and he goes through numerous (around 15-20) possible topics and articles and explains how you can use them. Quizzes are short answer but are in the textbook.
Have to work for your grade. Overall, replies to email fairly quickly. If you are trying to take COMM online because you think it will be an easy A, YOU ARE WRONG (with Storr at least) I took this as an 8 week class, so it was pretty rushed (a speech every other week)
His online course requires a lot of work and he's a tough grader. He's willing to give good pointers when writing your speeches. Sometimes his comments can be harsh when he grades your speeches, but he gives helpful feedback. Definitely start working on the assignments as soon as he gives them to you.
Storr was overbearing when it came to passing out grades. Although COMM 210 is simply a beginning level (introduction) of communication, he still found it necessary to hand out poor grades like they were candy. If you can handle sitting through lecture of this boring yet required course, I would strongly suggest it.
I am currently taking Prof. Storr's 8 week online class, and it is definitely a pain in the ass in terms of preparing speeches. I personally thought online COMM would be easy, but after reading the syllabus, I was so nervous. Although he is a tough professor, he has provided me with his patience, time, respect, and helpful feedback.
I took this class in an 8 week online format and it was tough to say the least. But it was a good tough, you definitely have to work for your grade as it is rushed (being 8 weeks). However, if you show improvement and you work hard your grade will definitely reflect it. He gives great feedback to help you continue to improve.
He is a tough grader but if you follow the syllabus you'll be ok. Also he is easily accessible.
He is a tough grader to be honest but the syllabus is quite clear so if you follow it you will be ok. However contact him when in doubt! because you will pay for it later. He is also easy to reach if you need him.
While the class itself may seem difficult, Storr grades the presentations on how much effort you've put into your speeches and presentations. As long s you honestly give it your all, you'll do fine.
If you don't do the required work, it's easy to fail. He gives feedback!
Professor Storr truly cares about his students and as long as you apply yourself and take his suggestions you will pass. He it makes it very clear that you can come to him for anything and after completing the course I feel I have progressed as a public speaker. CAUTION: Expect Some Dank Memes!
Took the 8 week online COMM210 class. There is a ton of work that goes into this class and it can be very time consuming. On the other hand, I did learn a lot and I think the course itself is really valuable. His syllabus and most instructions for assignments are very long and have a lot of bold or all caps, but they're important to read.
Grading was a little more strict than I had anticipated going into the class, but the feedback he provided was more than enough to allow me to focus on areas that needed improvement without digging myself into too deep of a hole.
Took COMM210 online. It is really time consuming and there are a ton of assignments. He's a pretty difficult grader.
It's not hard, but you do have to put in some time/effort. He is really kind & super helpful. I hate public speaking but he is very understanding & wants you to succeed. I'm terrible at giving speeches but as long as he sees you are trying & improving he won't give you bad grades. There are quizzes using the book, but they are actually helpful.
I took COMM 210 online. I met with him multiple times for help on my speeches and he was always very helpful. Somewhat of a tough grader. My course was half a semester (8 weeks) so it was very condensed and had lots of work most weeks. Meet his criteria on each speech, do the assignments each week, and you should do just fine.
I took this course over the 8 week period and it was not so bad. He is a tough grader though and he expects you to go in-depth with your answers. Also the course text is a must for this course, and you will need to really read the syllabus carefully. He is easily accessible which makes up for the tough grading lol. Also the speeches be ready to wor
This class was not easy but not impossible. Be prepared to work for your grade, if you want an A you have to put a lot of effort into it. He is somewhat of a tough grader but provides helpful feedback. He likes detailed, thought out answers to his assignments. Expect a lot of homework. Overall not a bad class. He also really likes grumpy cat.
The class was not as easy as I heard it could be. There was a lot of work in the beginning but towards the end it started to calm down. I didn't do one of my speeches which you have 5 in eight weeks and I'm still maintaining a C in the class which is not bad at all. The memes he puts up are cheesy but motivating.
You'll have to work for your grade in the class, it's not an easy A. Do all your assignments thoroughly and you will do well. He provides great feedback, and is available through office hours for help. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Not my favorite class, but also not my least favorite.
He is a hard grader but gives feedback. Expect a lot of work if you take it online.
He states at the beginning of the 8 weeks that, "YOU WILL NOT SKATE BY MY CLASS!" and he is 100% being honest. Ive had to give this class everything that i have and I'm still struggling a bit. But he lays everything out for you week by week and clearly lets you know what has to be done and for this I respect him. In all i have learned a lot.
I took this course in 8 weeks online and it was very tough, but in the beginning of the course we were told that this was not a class that you could skate by in. Storr was very helpful when I asked questions and responded within hours. There are a few weeks that seem like you won't survive the class, but his use of memes helps to push you through!
I took this class in 8 weeks and it was a lot of work. At the beginning he will let you know that you will have to put a lot of time and effort in and you cannot just simply "SKATE ON BY." However, he is very helpful! He responds to his emails pretty quick and gives good advice when answering a question! Be prepared to do a lot of busy work.
If you are taking the 8 week class, it is a lot of work! He will let you know at the very beginning that your are going to have to put a lot of hard work into the class to receive a decent grade. He is very nice and helpful though! For speeches, I thought he graded pretty hard. If taking the class, just be prepared for a lot of busy work!
I took this course in 8 weeks online and it was extremely tough, but Storr was very helpful! You have to have the textbook and you better expect homework! Overall, he was a great professor and was always very clear about expectations.
I am currently in the online 8 week class. Professor Storr makes it abundantly clear ahead of time that the class will go quickly and that you will have to put in the work. With that being said, it is hard work, but Professor Storr is always there for you to use him as a resource whenever you need to. It is clear that he is passionate about Comm.
I took comm 210 online with Storr, he made the class seem very hard in his first emails and within the first week. It was timely but it wasn't that hard. Overall I think he did a good job teaching through his online quizzes, and speech assignments. I'm better at public speaking because of his teaching. Also he is always available to help you.
Did not enjoy this professor. He did offer help whenever we needed it, but when I emailed him with questions he often sent back vague answers and answers that were rather rude. This was a required course and I didn't learn anything.
Took this class in 8 weeks, and thought it was going to be really tough. The first week was but after that it wasn't bad. Overall he is a good professor and grades everyone on an individual scale on their speaking skills. Otherwise just doing your homework will get you a good grade, and he is always available for help.
I am currently in the online 8 week class. Prof. Storr's class is a lot of hard work. As the course goes by really fast be prepared to really work hard for your grade.
This is a very intense course! The teacher is always available for help by any means (he offers face to face help if needed). Don't come in thinking this class will be a breeze, you must put in work to get the grade!
He was a very tough grader. He claimed that if he could tell you were trying, you'd get a good grade but that is false. He expected your speeches to be amazing, even if you aren't a strong speaker. His comments were often very rude on the evaluation and lots of unnecessary busy work. I would not recommend him to anyone.
Don't take this class online expecting to be an easy A. He makes it clear from the beginning that it is going to be a lot of work, which it was. But I think it was worth all of the work every week to be done in 8 weeks. He leaves rude comments when grading speeches, by reading his comments you'll think you did terrible but he grades pretty easy.
He makes the course easy to follow. Do your work and you will be fine. but this is not an easy online class. It's 8 weeks and you need to work for the grade. He is always available for feedback and help. I had great office hours with him.
I took the summer 5 week course, and it's very time consuming and challenging, meaning you can't BS it. Storr was fine, he doesn't hand out As but I never got below a B for a speech or any assignment, but I put effort into it. The quizzes/assignments take HOURS if you do them right. But honestly I'm glad I didn't take this in a real class.
I took the 5 week online class and I'm not going to lie, it was tough, but he makes it worth it. The class is very demanding of your time. The homework and quizzes take hours, but if you do it right, he almost always gives you extra credit. He even called me on a Saturday to work with me on a speech. This class is much better than the on-campus one
I really disliked him as a professor. He was very strict and harsh on grading, and that stressed me out. Even when I worked for hours on a speech, it was not good enough. I would not recommend him to a friend. I did well overall in the class, but that is because of the other work done (besides my speeches) like the final.
Ok. this class is not easy but it is doable. it moves very fast and you will have to spend a lot of time working on it because it's half a semster long, but it is doable. he will help you but you also have to take initiative. not my favorite class but who likes speaking? do your work and do it one time and you should be fine.
You know what you're getting into with this class. He makes it clear from the first day. There's a lot of reading, but it;s an online class so.
I am terrified of public speaking, but Professor Storr made this class bearable. It moved so fast, but I am thankful that I had a professor who encouraged me the entire way. He made this class fun and he really motivated me with his feedback on my speeches. He's a very fair grader as well. Just get your stuff done.
This class asked for alot of research but it also pushed you to get out of your comfort zone. Which I found helped me to become a better speaker and writer.
Make sure you sign up for the right course. I accidentally signed up for his 8 week course, and while I was successful, it was A LOT of work. The grading criteria is clear and helpful, just follow the instructions and complete work the on time and you will do alright! He emails back quickly and is super understanding. However, be ready to work.
I did the 8 week accelerated course. As expected, there will be a good amount of work, but just make sure you pace yourself and not get off track! Mr. Storr is wonderful to chat with. I was a "true distant learner" and had a few questions throughout the semester and he was easily accessible. Highly recommended
Professor Storr really cares about his students and wants all of his students to succeed. BUT, he is a VERY hard grader!!! I took this class online in 8 weeks and it was very difficult!!! There was so much work. If you think online speech will be easier, it is NOT. You still have to have an audience and you have to record yourself.
Storr does the large lecture. He's cool. Funny dude. Great speaker and kept my attention in a class of 400+. It's a gen ed and he does what he can and he models speaking very well. Just wish he would share his secrets more than he does in lecture. I felt he kept it real and modeled what he wanted. The grad student was fine but nothing special.
Gives you minimal time to do homework. We had like 4 days to write and film a speech.
Took the summer class. He's great. Hard grader, tho.
I took Mr. Storr's large lecture class (350+ students) and it was decent. It may not be the most exciting class but he does keep it pretty interesting and very relevant with lots of memes and real world examples on every PowerPoint. iClickers are a MUST. Don't skip lectures because he has clicker quizzes every class for points. Two tests only.
I took his comm 210 large lecture class. He goes over the information well. If you show up to class and take notes it is an easy A.
I only had Storr for the large lecture, and I loved him. His slides include a lot of memes and gifs, which I appreciate. He is a really good public speaker, and I found the powerpoints to be interesting. Make sure you have your iClicker because those count as participation points. Love him, would take the class again
hes beuatiful
great prof. lectures are just boring.
Really actually enjoyed this class and definitely learned more about communication and public speaking. Used memes and explained things very well and overall was just a chill guy. Definitely recommend Storr when planning to take COMM 210, wouldn't mind taking this class again.
Mr. Storr was great. He is such a great speaker and I learned a lot from him.
Very clear grading criteria and grades fairly based on the criteria outlined in the syllabus. Took the 8 week online class. Would definitely take him again. Very helpful!
Mr. Storr is a cool guy but overall this course has been a huge disappointment for me personally. You spend more time learning vocabulary and acronyms than actually working on your speaking. There are so many extra unnecessary writing assignments. The criteria and sequencing for the speeches is ridiculously specific as well.
Great professor. Would always make sure that the powerpoints for each week were posted on Blackboard. If you're worried about your grade, don't worry because there are so many extra credit opportunities. He also posts study guides for the tests. Make sure you study. I always made quizlets and did great. You will need a book for small lecture class.
Funny lectures, you cant fail this course
Mr. Storr does his best in the large lecture. I sometimes zoned out but did not often. He is funny and very knowledgeable. Clickers are needed. Two tests that are hard, but show up to class the tests aren't too bad.
I normally HATE lectures. However, this class made it fun. He was very good at keeping attention and helping us retain information. The two tests were fairly easy (just study for a bit before the test and you're good). This combined with Prof Tulowitzky is perfect. Easy A.
Mr. Storr is very nice and is very interesting when he gives lectures. He keeps the attention of students. One of the more fun lectures I've been in.
He's a very nice teacher! When discussion political content (which you will do), he is very good at remaining unbiased and respectful of all opinions. Pretty funny. You get participation for being in large lecture, SO SHOW UP. Pretty easy class to pass. Don't be afraid to ask for help with speeches.
Overall hes really good at lecturing material so you remember it. Hes nice but sometimes I got bored.
Tough class, great professor. If you struggle with Public Speaking he will work with you.
I thought the lectures were okay, he tried his best to be entertaining. I enjoyed my small section teacher which made me enjoy COMM 210 more as a whole. For the most part, if you just make the time limit for each individual speech you'll be able to pass no problem.
Makes gen Ed credits tolerable. Great speaker.
Large lecture with Storr is a solid choice. He is interesting and class goes by pretty quickly. You have to use your iClicker every day because there are 5 participation points each class and it'll hurt your grade a lot if you don't use it.
bring your iclicker to class. show up for every class and participate. the midterm was surprisingly difficult, expect the same with the final. Good lecturer and my discussion leader was great to our class.
He's engaging to listen to and always made his lectures fun and interesting. Make sure to bring your iClicker for participation; exams can be a little difficult, so make sure you read the book. There's a lot of busy work, but overall it's a pretty easy class as long as you study thoroughly for the exams and practice for your speech well.
He does the bigger lectures for COMM 210. he is honestly hilarious. he makes lectures go by super fast. he lets you on twitter during the lectures and you can tweet him or the assistants. he is very relatable and knows how to keep things up to date with society
I really enjoyed this class with Storr! He made lectures interesting and was very good at explaining the subject matter. Attendance will definitely help boost your grade, and study for the exams! He is upfront about the class and is very funny.
write down iclicker questions those are exam questions.
Hes the only professor for large lecture Comm 210, and sometimes I wish he wasnt. Going to large lecture was my least favorite part of the academic week. Comm 210 is a very rough class for those who just want to lay low. The topics are extremely dry, and he tries to make it interesting, but they could never be.
Dr. Storr is engaging. He plays to current students and keeps it interesting.
Mr. Storr gave good lectures and tried to make it interesting. He talks fast and uses all 50 minutes so be prepared to take a lot of notes. His exams are kind of tough even if you study.
Mr. Storr gives amazing lectures. He makes them modern and doesn't just spew information from the book. Definitely a solid choice.
he's okay. lectures go by fast. he tries to make it entertaining. come to class every week there are iclicker questions for points. he also offers a lot of extra credit. tests are not that bad.
When we moved online he was on top of it.
Prof Storr has a very passionate personality and genuinely tries to make his lectures informative AND interesting. He can be a bit much at times, but overall he made COMM tolerable.
Mr. Storr is the large section professor for COMM210. He makes the tests and give you the majority of the information. And while I though his lectures were informative, they could be quite boring at times. His exams are also quite difficult; however, he provides plenty of extra credit to balance it out!
Storr is a great professor. He is very funny and approachable. He uses clickers to ensure you come to class, so dont skip too often. Hes easy to understand and his powerpoints are helpful. He posts them online and expectations are very clear for all assignments. Tests can be difficult if you dont take notes or read the book.
Mr. Storr taught my large lecture Comm, so he never got the chance to be one on one with any of us, but he was nice! His grades are literally iClicker points for attendance and then your midterm and final. Study the dang powerpoints and that stuff because I failed both of the exams but luckily the grade gets combined with your small section grade.
Storr was great. Huge personality and his enthusiasm made it bareable when I was really scared. I really appreciate his craft and energy even though he plugs in some personal opinions.
Overall awesome speaker and tries to make this core class as fun and interesting as he can.
Took this class a bit before the virus took over... The transition was not great and Im thankful they removed some of the assignments we had to have in, but the fact that he made us take a 50 question exam in 30 minutes, that was definitely not fair. He was nice enough to take our midterm grade for the final grade tho.
If the class weren't required, I'd urge everyone to stay away at all costs. The way Professor Storr's chosen to respond to the pandemic, and the little to no consideration to students, is demonstrative of how he conducts himself and his course broadly. He paid little regard to student concerns amid the pandemic and has been largely inflexible.
Storr set up the best Canvas class I had at BSU this semester. He gave extra credit. Cool dude and lectures were easy.
Mr. Storr is a fairly good professor, he is interesting and the lectures aren't terrible. The problem I had with this class was the small section that was in person, it was boring and not useful. The speeches are grader very tough and there is a lot of work.
You must watch the lectures for this class and be prepared to pay attention. This professor is pretty strict about late work. The mid-term and final exam have a very small time limit so studying is a must. The class structure was very organized.
He's overall a very good professor in terms of feedback. But if he doesn't like you then you are screwed. Just don't take this class with him if he is the one grading your speeches because I can promise you he grades them 10x harder than your small group professor would.
This professor is awful. I know he takes a lot of pride in speech but not everyone is as talented as him. His tests are ridiculous and he is a hard grader. I ended with a D+ and it completely tanked my gpa.
Professor Storr is a wonderful professor and his lectures are super entertaining even online. You can tell he is passionate about communication, and he himself is an excellent communicator who really engages his audience. The tests are a little tricky, and I would recommend taking advantage of the extra credit so youll raise your grade.
This class that is treated like its celebrity when its actually like a person on tik tok who has one viral video. I barely got an A, I studied hard for the midterm and got a C. He asks questions over words that are very closely related and has spelling errors on his exams. But were expected to be perfect.
Teaching in a pandemic is not easy, and Dr. Storr was wondetful. I am a freshman and he helped make my first semester more easy. I highly recommend him.
I had Mr. Storr for the large group lecture online, not for the small section. I really enjoyed his lectures and they were easy to understand and follow along with. Deadlines are very set for all the assignments, but he sends out frequent reminders and was helpful when I had questions.
Storr runs the large lectures for COMM210. His grading is very frustrating at times, but he loosened up and offered some extra credit. His lectures seem to drag on forever and are very boring. He acts like his class is the most important one you'll ever take (it's not) and the midterm and final are more difficult than the rest of the class.
This is the professor that your high school warned you about. Storr is VERY strict when it comes to deadlines and what he expects in your speeches/assignments. The exams are tough, so you'll need to do lots of studying. He throws in some extra credit once in a while, but don't expect them to boost your grade significantly.
This class was well put together. Storr and my small section teacher Denker did a good job. As a freshman, I appreciated how easy the class was to navigate.
Mr Storr's lecture is super boring, and his exams are super hard. I really don't want to take this class but it's required. He just gave the video which was already recorded and used them again and again. He's very strict and the small instructor graded you with the rubric that he designed. You will never get a high grade. Don't take this class!
Just took midterm It wass hard but the info he covered well and he teaches online. it's okay overall he's cool and good teacher. i got an A on the midterm he's funny n smart
He assigns way too much. I mean he expects you respond thoroughly for all of the assignments which makes it take longer than it should. The assignments that usually take long to do arent worth very many points either so it is just pointless. Also, him and the small instructors take off points for absolutely anything and it is super annoying.
Great professor! Small section leaders do most of the grading though, so good luck with those.
Professor Storr was my large lecture professor for my online COMM 210 class in the fall semester of 2020. Despite the fact that class was moved primarily online, he still did his lectures really well and was very entertaining. Weekly lecture quizzes due on Monday with 5 different speeches make up the majority of the grade. I recommend for sure!
I really would recommend any professor besides Storr. His lectures are boring and the small section leaders take off points for absolutely anything.
As a freshmen I really appreciated this class during the pandemic. It was organized unlike other classes. I felt less anxiety with expectations and assignments.
The instructors treat this class like it's top-notch and important, but in reality, the majority of us don't want to be there, yet gotta be because this class is required. Storr's lectures are enjoyable and interesting sometimes. Take good notes on the lectures! prepared for tough grading on your speeches if he's your small section instructor.
It was a pandemic and he was great. The course was so clear. I never had questions. I was impressed with how the course was structured.
This class had me so less nervous as a freshperson. Others need to take note on how to make an online class work.
I enjoyed Comm 210, however, if you are a last-minute person this class is NOT for you. There are lots of assignments and a quiz over the lectures every week. The finals and midterm are hard even with a study guide and notes. Pace your work for the class and you will do fine. Speeches are not that bad, but they can be nerve-racking.
good dude
If you get Mr. Storr to grade your assignments do not think you will ever get a perfect grade on a speech. He does offer extra credit and give good feedback. There will always be a negative in the feedback he gives. Just hope you do not get him as your small group leader.
I just finished the 5 week summer class. He was great but a tough grader. I talked to him on the phone several times for help.
I had Storr for large lecture and it was alright. Not my favorite class but he was passionate about it which helped. He was the only option for me to teach COMM210 but if that is the case for you it isn't the worst thing in the world. Just a average required class with an average teacher.
I loved taking this class, there are just a few things I wish I would have known going into the course. Definitely show up for large lecture and small instruction. Your grade participation wise will thank you. I didnt necessarily need the book. For speeches, be prepared and DO NOT WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE. Ask questions and communicate.
Storr is a great professor. He makes lectures interesting and enjoyable to listen to. He sends out reminders when assignments are due and he does not flood his students with homework. Would 100% take his class again and recommend it to anybody.
Large lecture feels like a waste of time but you need to be there. He makes it seem like everything he teaches should be common sense to everyone so don't expect deep explanations from him. Lots of busy during the semester.
I read some comments about not offering extra credit, but thats changed since they were commented. He offers so much extra credit now. I am happy this class is about to be over because giving speeches are terrible, especially for people with terrible anxiety aka me. Im typically confused in large lecture too because it isnt explained throughly
inspiring guy
For my section, we did virtual lectures on monday with Storr and Tues and Thurs with our small lecture leader. Easy but you have to put work in if you want an A. Some unnecessary assignments. Do the extra credit. Brought my grade up a whole letter grade. TAs give good feedback quickly. I had Peyton Bonine as my instructor and loved him.
Mr. Storr was a good professor, however, be prepared to take really intense notes during lectures. He talks really fast so sometimes it is hard to keep up, but the slides are posted on canvas so you can always go back. Test and midterms are a little challenging, but read the textbook, study, take notes, and listen in class everything will be ok.
Great speaker, friendly personality, lectures were very easy to pay attention to because they were somewhat entertaining. Homework was sometimes difficult. Attendance is graded. The mid-term and final were both somewhat difficult.
Professor Storr was an amazing lecturer and most of the content was easy to comprehend. I can admit, at times he tried a little too hard to appeal to the "gen z" cultural memes and jokes and it kind of backfired, but he was a good teacher nonetheless. No one likes taking gen ed. classes but he made COMM210 more enjoyable.
Mr. Storr always makes his lectures super fun and entertaining for class. I don't even mind going to lectures because something fun happens every class.
Mr. Storr is a good professor. His lectures are a bit long at times but he tries to make them interesting and engaging. iClickers are used and attendance is taken for a score.
Had him online no complaints good feedback i feel that i grew
Professor Storr gives long lectures, but he makes them engaging and knows how to grab the listener's attention. He provides detailed feedback on assignments and is willing to work with you if you have accommodations. He also offered various extra credit assignments, which can really help if you do not do well with your speeches and tests.
Storr made comm fun! I am an honors kid so I took honors comm and we had 7 speeches, but he gives tokens which u can do extra credit basically and earn rewards and I got enough to skip the last two speeches! As long as you show up and try your best ur sure to pass!
As someone who is not passionate about public communications and speech/presentation-centered classes, I struggled through this class. I didn't feel guided by the critique given, because there was a lack of constructive feedback. I did not grow in this class because I didn't know what I was doing "right", and only knew what I was doing "wrong".
Its been years since I had it yet it still stands as the worst course I have ever taken. I think this example should demonstrate the kind of insanity these policies displayed. I'd attempted recording my speech so many times that I no longer needed notecards. I did it successfully w/o them. Yet? I WAS DOCKED FOR PUTTING IN THE WORK TO MEMORIZE THEM
