He's a shy guy, but not unfriendly. He mumbles constantly and flies through his PowerPoints, making it quite hard to follow him. On the bright side, his class wasn't overly difficult. His practice questions he gave before exams were helpful and similar to the real tests, but it was hard to get answers to them because of his quiet voice and speed.

I am incredibly disappointed in my senior year and his class was certainly no help. Why is this man teaching a psychology class? Why am I doing in depth research analysis, hours of homework, ridiculous tests, research papers, and labs that last longer than the class period for only 2 CREDIT HOURS?! Aside from the work he's a terrible instructor.

Mid prof w/ attitude, made honors section 2nd exam harder b/c we did too good on the 1st one & gave us 1/2 the extra credit as reg section. 10 hmks worth 15%, 2 tests worth 25% each, project worth 10%, and final worth 25%. Do good on hmk, tests, and project and he will exempt you from the final, I got an easy A this way. Just pay attention in class

He is a great professor in terms of his knowledge of the course. He usually will tell you to ask the TA in his response when it comes to emails. This course might be challenging if you are not good with application-based questions. The homework is relatively easy. No quizzes. Two exams.

Ok overall. First exam was hard but once we got into R it wasn't as bad. He is not the most organized lecturer and the hw is tough. Attendance policy was kinda wack and there wasn't a real textbook or uploaded notes to use as a backup if you missed class. But he is funny asf and his guidelines got a lot chiller towards the end of the semester.

I really liked having him as a teacher. However, if you don't go to his lectures, your grade will reflect that, you absolutely should not miss them or else you'll be lost. There's homework about every week and a few exams. He gives a lot of extra credit and is super nice and helpful.

Professor Stutz was fairly good. He tried to be intimidating at the beginning in order to keep students coming to class, however, his teaching was pretty clear, and the exam questions are not meant to trick anyone. He gives some homework to review the material and study guides before the tests, which are very similar to the exams, so study them.

Does not post lecture slides or notes, so you can't look back to study later. Only 2 13 question exams throughout the semester which are (mostly) easy enough, but if you make a simple mistake it'll cost you. He drones on and doesn't really engage the class, tells us instead of showing. I made an A, but he just sucks.

lectures can get pretty boring because you just watch him put everything into the R coding software and he doesn't post his notes, so if you miss class make sure you get the notes from someone else. The exams were very easy and straightforward and the study guides were very similar to the exam

He isn't a bad professor if you understand his type of humor, which can be very off-putting if you don't know he is joking. He knows his stuff made it easy to ask questions even though its confusing. Class was very easy if you attended lecture and did the homework, exams were short, he is never on campus and selective to the emails he responds to.

Do not take Professor Stutz!! I missed 2 classes and fell extremely behind. Practice tests are exactly like the exams, but also are easy to fail. He cares more about the R coding on the computer than the actual statistics concepts of the class. He does not respond to emails and if he does, they are brief and rude.

If you miss the class then you really will fail since he doesn't post any of the lectures. The exams are like the study guide but it is multiple choice from a-f so it is easy to fail it. It is exam heavy with only a few homework. If you do well on the research project, you did not have to take the final.

The first exam is super rough but after that the class isn't too bad. He curved my 52 to a 70 and I managed to end with an A. Your grade is 2 exams, 10 hws and a group project, and the final is optional if your grades high enough. Attendance isn't mandatory but he doesn't post the lecture notes so you really have to go.

Dr. Stutz is a kind and respectable teacher. I do not understand the low ratings as they are pretty much false. The professor stresses asking him questions and wants you to pass with an A. He is funny and respects his students. Come to class and be prepared to learn or you will have a hard time. Pay full attention and study well. Do not get lazy.

Only 2 exams a semester with less than 10 questions on each which makes it easy to fail. Focuses on R coding more than the stuff we actually need to know on the exam. Wasn't very helpful when I tried to reach out to him about my grades. Has a TA grade everything so it takes forever. Seems annoyed when people ask questions in class.

Class is biggest waste of time as he only codes into R and doesn't teach anything on the exams. The exams are easy to fail due to lack of questions & multiple choice questions w one word difference. Makes you do a group project and present it. There are other stat 205 professors who teach better, have easy exams online, so take them instead.

There are no notes posted for the class, so if you miss, good luck. He handwrites all his notes in class in chicken scratch, and they don't make sense going back. He requires you to use R code on everything, but you don't use it on exams. His exams are usually fewer than 8 questions and all multiple choice, usually A-J or K. Do not take.

Overall, he was a nice guy; that being said, this class was insufferably boring. Exams have only a couple of questions; they're multiple-choice, but the answer options are all so similar. All content is taught in class with no notes posted, so you never miss it. Managed to do well, he gives a lot of extra credit. Useless class, that's too hard.

Attending class is important in order to not get lost. Lecture notes posted online are not related much to what is taught. Study guides and homework are helpful and are basically what are on the tests. Only a few tests, and they are short with many multiple-choice options. Can be very easy but hard if you do not know what you are doing.

Not my favorite class or professor. Be prepared to show up to class because online notes provided do not help at all. The exams don't have many questions but are worth a large part of your grade. Also there is a group project but as long as you do it right he grades nicely. If you want an easy class you don't have to go to this he is not for you
