Dr. S is by far the best teacher in the Bio department. He's so down to earth and easy to talk to that if you have any problems he's more than willing to help. His tests are hard but he's a fair grader. Makes the material interesting w/ a corny humor.

He's really teaching because he loves to do it. He's a unique teacher who really cares. If they ever do a movie based on his life, get Kevin Spacey to play him.

Dr. S truely is a teacher. I have never had a more inspirational professor in any subject. Microbiology no less?!)He is extremely down-to-earth, incredibly interesting and surprisingly normal for a biologist!If I pursue a Ph.D,it will be thanks to D

NOT easy but that is a good thing in context...because he is totally willing to give any help needed. The comic relief is unique, and he can be so serious, you miss the joke and it hits you a half hour later, and you think-Did he REALLY say that?

Dr. Sulzinski is without question the best professor I've encountered at this University thus far. He goes out of his way to make sure that students learn and that class is more than just note taking

Dr. S. is the meanest guy in the world. He will do everything to make sure you fail! Hahahahaha just kidding the guy is a terrific professor and hilarious. One of the best I have ever had.

We have input into the lecture schedule as the semester goes on, based on topics that are important to us. This class is great, the prof is the best. A MUST TAKE for non-majors bio.

great teacher, actually makes you interested in bio, gives you an outline on blackboard of whats gonna be on the test the week before exams.if you study it you'll get an A!

I have had Dr. S for every class he teaches. He is the greatest!! You will learn more from him than any other teacher!

Great class, but a little difficult. Dr. S. genuinely cares about his students and helps them to improve with each test. Each test has a lot of notes, but he's really fair in his grading. Your final grade will work out if he sees you're putting effort into the course. Take the class. It's worth it!

This is a must take course. Dr. S. is awesome and makes the class enjoyable. He finds his own jokes to be histerical, which makes it funny even if u didn't get the joke. Just laugh at them and he'll like you more. He is also an easy person to talk to if you need anything. Great asset to the U!

If something doesn't seen right in your notes ask him, you can even e-mail him and he will respond to tell you. You learn how to spel things on the test. Always wiling to help. Great lab. TAKE HIM. AWESOME. KNOWS HIS S***. EXPLAINS IN A WAY THAT IS CLEAR. EXAMS ARE CHALLENGING ENOUGH, OUT OF LECTURE NOTES, NO SURPRISES. MUST TAKE! IT'S WELL WORTH THE WAIT TO GET INTO HIS CLASS.

Dr. S. is the best teacher I've had at the U. There are a million reasons he was 'Teacher of the year.' He tells really nerdy jokes during class, but you can't help but laugh at them as he keeps the mood so light. The tests are a little tough, but he's always willing to help, and if you take the time to learn the material, they're not too bad!

Dr. S. is by far the best prof in the Bio dept. When you find yourself looking forward to a long bio class, you know you have an amazing teacher. Just make sure you take good notes in class, participate, and study for the exams, and you'll be 100% fine! He's teacher of the year for a reason!

There is no doubt why he is Teacher of the Year at this Univesity. Without a doubt, absolutely the BEST! A genuine scholar and a gentleman.

Best Teacher by far at the U of S. Def. Take his class. Real easy test, fair grader.

Second time I had him and class is still great. Def think that virol was easier than micro. Study everything well and it will be a breeze. Also, he loves questions about vaccines and the genome and how the genome is expressed. REMEMBER: HE LOVES POLIO!

Knows more about polio than Albert Sabin himself. He is fair and a straight shooter; but you better know the material inside and out. You should not graduate with a biology major without first experiencing the Teacher of the Year.

Must take him at least once, you'll be hooked.

Class is interesting because he lets you choose the topics you want to cover. Tests are tedious and ask questions that are not necessarily in you notes. Tests always cover a lot of material. Class is based on 3 tests a special project (term paper 5 pages) and attendance which is mandatory.

Sulzinski may be a great guy and teach extremely interesting classes but he is somewhat biased. For this class he especially favored the more gifted students and allowed those who struggle w/ the material fall by his waist-side. Yea he does offer help but when the material is challenging and you have the stars of the grade in the class your screwed

Oh, come on...he "favors" students who actually have thoughtful questions and comments to contribute in class or lab; he helps those who are smart enough to ask for it.

Class could have been more fun if we didn't take so many notes and if we could have done more in class 'experiments' like dissections and guest lecturers. Some of the test questions are picky but it's MC so the tests are fair.

Amazing teacher! Don't need text for course. Fair grader, memorize all your notes and you'll do well. Curves course average to an 80. Final is optional and if you take it and do well your grade will go up to the next notch. So funny and super cute! Take him!

He is the best science teacher I have EVER had. Not a bio major and did well-Tests are TRICKY read carefully, study just notes, curves to an 80, so funny and nice I loved him wish I could take him again!

Just a genuine nice guy who really cares about his students. He has a lot of non-bio majors in this class so he gives a lot of healthy life lessons, like a cool dad talking to kids

Dr. Szl is the best professor I had ever had. He is super nice and very helpful. He wants his students to do well. This was definitely my favorite class at Scranton. At first I thought that this class would be awful, since I'm not a science major but it turned out to be one of the best. I so glad I registered for this awesome class. TAKE HIM NOW!!

Dr Szl is by far one of my favorite teachers I've had in Scranton. While he isn't the easiest, he is very thorough in teaching and is incredibly fair. Knows everything there is to know about Microbiology. Relates course material to the real world. A straight shooter, no BS, I respect him like no other. He truly cares for his students. One of a kind.

Hands down best teacher at Scranton. Dr. Szl is awesome and very very helpful! He enjoys teaching the material and is always there to answer any questions. He truly loves helping the students. Micro was one of my favorite classes because of him! The material can be hard, you need to study, but his grading is very fair! You will learn a lot!

He's a great professor for a non-bio major course! I had a little trouble in the beginning of the course, but he helps greatly if you go to him before tests! 4 tests in the semester, one optional extra credit paper. Lectures are great and interesting because he makes jokes throughout it and incorporates information that is helpful for everyday life

Szl is the best. Don't graduate Scranton without having him for class.

From a non-bio major, this is the best bio class you could ever take. Szl is probably my favorite professor at the U. He teaches what you want to learn about and makes everything interesting. It's an easy class too as long as you study your notes and his notes online for the tests.

Dr. Sulzinski definitely makes the class challenging. His tests are pretty in depth but definitely not impossible. He can be a little boring to listen to, but the material is really interesting so it evens out. Really nice guy and really knows his stuff. Taking him again for Virology.

Med school? Grad school? Want to actually learn biology? Dr. Szl is the guy for you. Test aren't easy because they actually make you THINK. He doesn't want you to regurgitate info back to him, he wants you to be able to think through things, and that's what makes him such a great professor. Funny too. Love this man. Take him!!

Dr. Szl is the best professor i have had at Scranton. If you don't take him for a class before you graduate you missed out. His exams are tricky but if take the time to study and know your notes well, you will do amazing. He did an online review session before each exam with sample questions and he tells you what to focus on. Take him!
