Positive attitude. Knows what he's talking about. Has real world experience and relates it to the class. Great class.
He means well, however does not teach. Uses the book and gives no other insight. His real world experience is useful and he is willing to help. If you take this class, know you will have to rely on reading the book to take ridiculous scantron tests.
This guy is great: well-connected, has some interesting speakers come to class, and he's funny and smiley. He could definitely strive for more organization and clarity relative to lectures, though.
His tests are extremly hard. He does not explain the context of the book well. He expects you to disect and know every aspect of every detail in each chapter he is testing on. The speakers are a good adition, but him teaching the material would be better.
Class is fun, however most of the "teaching" is done by guest speakers. Very insightful to see how the real world works and what not but not much info. given about the actual class and content on the tests......Very hard grader!!!
He doesn't really teach, so basically read the book and you'll be fine. He has cool guest speakers come in.
Study up for the tests and take advantage of the extra credit quizes. If you want to prepare and learn about the business world take him

His class was interesting and insightful however doing well on his extra credit quizzes and tests and even the main project really depicts the final grade and he does not really take into account who in the group really works on project when giving grades. If you are in AMA you probably would get a better grade.
Was optimistic about this class, however he is VERY UNCLEAR about what he wants. PREPARE TO BE CONFUSED. He then gives grades based on favoritism, instead of actual work. He is unethical in the way he grades the group projects. Pulls the grade out of his ass right before your eyes, and then makes up an invalid excuse why he gave it. Should be FIRED
The best professor I had at CSULB. If you want to learn something you will actually use in marketing definitely take his classes. The guest speakers were awesome and it is a rare opportunity to see what working in the real world is really like. Everything he taught and talked about turned out to be true after taking his classes 5 years ago.
This professor was very unclear. he has a huge ego and is favorable to students who kiss his a**. he's a very unethical professor. you're screwed if you even miss 1 class.
Tough guy but he wants everyone to make it in the real world
Great Porfessor. Will do whatever it takes to help you if you put in the effort.
Tomlin is the man! One of the best teachers you can take cause he gives you real world experience. I am a graduate and work in an Advertising agency and I have to say besides interning - his classes were the best experiences and preparation.
First: Stop ****ing! He demands the best of his students. Just because he doesnt let you get away with being lazy doesnt make him bad. He is well connected and helps the students that make a TRUE EFFORT. He has been around forever and seen it all. I will say for the record the tests suck. Since he rarely lectures from the book, and the tests are straight from the book, kinda crappy. But it is our responsibility to handle our own sh**. Be grateful he holds us all to the same standards. Unlike other profs...
HORRIBLE! Avoid @ all costs!
if youre a girl you should take this class cause youve got the best chance at getting a good grade in the class. dont bother reading the book becaue youll probably do worse than if you guess on his tests. very unclear on what he wants, dont expect to learn anything from him. only good for scoring internships - if he likes you.
I just want to say - if you registered for his class for the spring semester - drop it while you still can....
Ok, uh I hate this guy. He got on my nerves so bad. Basically here this: You cannot tell Tomlin anything, he is always right. Don't challange him, he'll call you out in class. All he has is guest speakers everyday because he uses them as a cop-out because he can't teach...you buy the book and he'll never talk about it..just gives tests. Yuck!
IF YOU WANT REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE IN THE BUSINESS WORLD, TAKE TOMLIN!! I DONT KNOW WHY THESE KIDS ARE B*TCHING ABOUT HIM. HE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR ON THE CSULB CAMPUS. HE DOESN'T SUGAR COAT THE BUSINESS WORLD AND GIVES IT TO YOU HOW IT REALLY IS! TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO BE PREPARED IN THE BUSINESS WORLD!
This teacher doesn't really teach. He just brings in guest speakers each class period. I thought he would be a good professor at first but throughout the semester I learned that he is very unfair. Don't take his class.

I swear to the lord almighty, this man shouldn't be even TEACHING...oh wait, he DOESN'T TEACH at all! I swear, this guy is a joke. Kiss his ass and you will get a good grade, or better yet, have sex change cuz he sure loves females. Not saying he's horny but, you know what they say "Earn your grade the HARD way" LMFAO!!!w3r34
This teacher is great!!! He tells is how it is and prepares you for the "Real World"...Great with internships. His guest speakers are interesting.....the class is not hard but his test can be if you dont study a lot. Take His Class.. you will love it
If you are a GIRL- take him! Will NEVER lecture, all guest speakers. Tests are kinda hard but he gives Extra credit pop quizzes. Project is a ****, he expects over the top presentations. I got a C on most tests but with extra credit I pulled of a B. I would take him.
How Tomlin ever got hired as a professor, I will never know. He never lectured once the entire semester so you don't learn. I was looking forward to this class but was severly let down. You have to do a group mktg report but he doesn't even teach you how to do it! Once again, this all goes back to the fact that he's lazy, so you're all on your own.
Very fun and imaginitve class. Helps prepare you for the real world.
Cls is interesting & not difficult at all if you study on your own for test. The subject matter is not difficult so if he did do lectures Ppoint like mot teachers..it would be really boring. His guest speakers, and Pro.Tomlin, tell you everything you need to know-make sure you get a group without slackers or you'll be introuble.Love him as a teacher!
He doesn't lecture--get over it!Just study the book and ull be fine(it's not a big deal!)Do the assignments thoroughly and ull get full credit. Choose a good group, ull learn ALOT from the project. Appreciate the guest speakers, its a good opp to hear them.i got an A.Have fun with the class and it will pay off. Work hard, welcome to the real world.
This guy is rude and unfair. He doesnt like students that have a difference of opinion and will try to embarrass and intimidate you in class. He's disrespectful, treats his students like children, doesnt ever lecture on the book yet he tests you on the most trivial info, and if you dont understand something, he will NOT help you, just scold you! :(
Easy class. Has class pets from AMA or other classes, but whatever. Attempts to lecture at times, but there's really no need for it as long as you read the book. If you're taking this class you're probably a mktg major; learn to do things on your own. Overall easy class. I rarely went and got a B. Could've gotten an A if I went to class regularly.
Good guy, hard class. This is harder then 330, so be prepared. Quizes and exams are harder, so studyy the book!! even the stories at the beginning of chapters. Know the speakers too. Ok, know everything. lol but its a good class, you'll learn alot and its not that hard if you just study the chapters and actually stay on top of things
Tests are really hard- they are straight from the book and you need to read really well to do well on the exams. There are 3 exams, and one big project. The project is fun, and you learn a lot. Guidelines are spelled out. He grades easy on the project.
You learn a lot from the speakers he brings in. Just like most other marketing classes, just do the readings thoroughly and u'll do well. Good guy, doesn't lecture (literally). 3 tests and one group project which is pretty easy if you just follow the guidelines he gives out. Really pay attention to the speakers and ask them a lot of questions.
Best teacher I've had at Long Beach. Very difficult tests, but his speakers actually teach you about the real world. 3 difficult tests and one major project. Fun and interactive class. I highly recommened him. He is a great contact to have for your future.
Good professor. He knows his stuff, but he treats the classroom too much like a business setting. No lectures, just extremely successful guest speakers. Project is great if you really want to go into advertising. Take him if you think you want to work for an ad agency.
If you like to go to class, but not to learn anything on the tests, just talk (which no one would probably do) then take this class. Other wise he assigns a project due, exam, another project, another exam. No help. He thinks he's all that, and expects you not to mess up. Lame.
Great guy! One group project (10 ppl), a few exams (study/memorize the definitions in the chapters and you'll do fine), no lectures, in-class quizzes on review days, different successful speakers each class, and he can hook you up with some cool internships! Good reference for the future. :)
doesn't teach at all!!!!! only guest speaker...he assigns 3 test and group project. so lame!! take other professor, if you want to learn.
I was very hesitate about taking Tomlin's class after reading everyone's reviews. But, I'm glad I listened to my friend and took him anyways. This was one of the best classes I've ever taken! It was a very enjoyable class, not boring at all! He doesn't waste our time with pointless lectures that most students don't listen to anyways. I got an A.
All these kids that are complaining about Tomlin will never make it in the business world. He expects a lot out of you and can offer a lot in return. He is very well connected in the business world, so if you are serious about marketing, take him. The project is pretty hard, but good for your portfolio if you do well.
Tomlin doesn't teach at all. All he does is show off all his contacts throughout the semester. He's not a very respectful man either. I wouldn't take him again.
I'm disappointed that this professor gets rude if you ask him for help - this class is a sink or swim environment. I feel that unless you know Tomlin personally or are familiar with his "teaching technique" you will have an sad surprise in store...it would be nice if he would explain what is expected rather than expect a student to read his mind
Tomlin is a nice guy, but a biased teacher. If youre in AMA or have an internship, he'll like you. Very vague on the project, gives minimal detail. Lecturers are usually pompus name-droppers, have little to do with anything. Tests are completely based on the textbook. Nice guy, potemtially interesting material, but somehow lacking in usefulness.
If you aren't in AMA, don't bother trying. He chooses his favorites for everything and decides who the "winner" will be before he even assigns the projects! I thought I was going to love this class, but after how badly he screwed us over on the final project, I have 0 respect for him.
He does NOT play favs. Yes I'm part of AMA but it doesn't mean he favored me over others. I got a low score before.trust. Teaching style is very different, however once u become accustomed to it, u may benefit greatly. I highly suggest his class ONLY if u r interested in mktg & hav the time & effort for his class. If u hav a busy schedule, 4get it.
Tomlin is extremely bias towards the hot girls in class. He himself, doesn't offer anything of interest but has good key note speakers to do the job for him. He is extremely fake and pretends all his actions are fair and real world scenarios. IN THE REAL WORLD THERE IS COMPROMISE AND NEGOTIATIONS. He is an absolute joke and a B.S. teacher.
He plays favs to his AMA followers, and he shows it in class. He doesn't teach anything, so reading the book is mandatory; however he does have some interesting speakers. He is unclear on tests and the group project. Avoid if possible unless you like teaching yourself "Mass Marketing Concepts".
Impossible to get a hold of because he does not accept e-mails. I called and left him a voicemail and never got a response. Has amazing guest speakers come in and does not do any teaching, so be prepared to teach yourself EVERYTHING. 2 extra credit pop quizzes which help tremendously. Graded fairly on the group project.Very disappointed in course.
Don't call him out on favoring AMAers, he'll never admit to it and he'll hold it against you. He's cocky. Get your internships on your own. Pop quizzes check attendance. 3 exams. 1 group project. Some guest speakers, but not as many as his 330 class. The book is your teacher. One advantage, the group project is great to take to job interviews.
I am so disappointed for taking his class. He's just not a fair or nice person. So arrogant. I was a fan of AMA but it seems that everyone involved is so damn cocky. Tomlin really doesn't teach at all because all his "connections" do all the speaking for him. He gives you the impression that he is there to hook you up but it's all an act.
No lecture just guest speakers however he does know what he's talking about when it comes to the "real business world". He plays favorites does but isn't that how it is in the real business world? Join AMA if you can and speak with him in his office about internship opportunities. If you want a taste of the real business world take his class.
Doesn't teach--just talks about real world stuff. Mostly guest speakers (good ones). He favor AMAers. He says he has the ability to help u get an internship but it took him over 2 months only to keep me on my toes and ultimately tell me that the position was never available. However, he is very helpful with other advice. Very fun class
He's not a good teacher. He has guest speakers every week which is nice to hear about the real world but you get tested on vocab words for like 7 chapters. If you aren't good at memorizing vocab don't take this class. He isn't helpful in anything besides maybe getting you an internship. Definitely a class where you will teach yourself everything
Does not teach. Brings in guest speakers almost every class and they do the "teaching". Read the chapters because that's all there is on the tests. He says he can help you get an internship, he doesn't. If you go in to ask him for advice or help on anything, he will talk about himself the whole time and you will leave with nothing.
Ok, compared to most of the professors in the business department he's not bad. Thats not saying much cuz most professors suck. Hes funny and interesting and his classes are never dull, but he doesnt really teach you anything. Loves to talk about how influential he is but if you ask about intern opportunities he ends up being full of crap.
Very entertaining. Fun class that actually gives you a taste of the real world. Read the text book and memorize the vocab terms and you should be fine with the tests. He puts you on the spot too, so don't expect to sit in the back and remain unseen. Tons of guest speakers, some interesting some boring but all very knowledgeable.
Horrible teacher!Don't ever teach anything. bascially you just read the book and memorize all the vocab term. have guest speaker almost every section n they do the teaching. Have 2 midterm with 1 finals n a group project. the group project you don't really have a good direction form him but he expects you with high quality on it! stick with gd team
does not teach what so ever. only has guest speakers. read the book front to back and over again to do well on the tests. get in a good group for the project and make sure you go all out for it. do not have expectations going into this class, its pointless.
Even though he is difficult on tests- I really liked having him as a teacher, although I do agree with other students in that he should be teaching more instead of only having guest speakers (who you learn a LOT from BTW). Go ALL OUT for the group project, the other groups definitely will. Really read through the book- you will need it for tests.
Although many of the previous comments are true, Prof. Tomlin is a great example of a Marketing professional. Learn to work with him and network with classmates. Group projects are the closest thing you'll get to a real life experience.
Tests are pretty easy, just read the chapters and study them. I definitely learned from the guest speakers. The group project is something that you can put on your resume if you do a good job.
He likes to dramatize situations a lot. However, he does offer a lot of real world insight & experience. MUST READ THE BOOK to do well. PLEASE do NOT be overwhelmed by the group project! Do NOT let it consume your life! It's not worth nearly as much as ONE exam is! FOCUS ON THE EXAMS! They are worth MUCH more than the project. Pop quizzes r ex. cr.
My absolute favorite teacher! He tests you on the book material but doesn't teach it in class so you have to at least skim the book - the test questions come straight from the book so it's not too hard. He brings in a lot of guest speakers who will teach you more than any book will. The group project is intense, though.
If you are truly interested in learning Advertising, do not take Mr. Tomlin. He will leave you uninspired. He does not teach, instead he conveniently has guest speakers to fill the void. The textbook will be your only useful tool to excel in this class.
Does not teach the subject of advertising but rather fills class time with comedy routines and guest speakers. He puts on a entertaining show but avoid if you want to learn.
This guy is A JOKE! He claims to have real world experience but he doesn't share any of it! All he does is waste time and takes your tuition money! Class break down: read text for all quizes and exams. interesting guest speakers come in from time to time....He's kinda creepy with the ladies too, just sayin'
Throughout the semester, he has guest speakers come and talk about their experiences with the company they work with. I took Tomlin for both advertising and promotions class. Rarely lectures about the book. You have read it and teach yourself the material in order to good on the test. THIS IS NOT AN EASY "A" CLASS.
This class was good for building a portfolio of work but Tomlin doesn't teach or lecture. You get successful guest speakers who make you believe achieving their caliber of accomplishments are so simple. You’ll need the textbook to teach yourself. Focus more on studying for exams because the projects are a lot of work and worth little of your grade.
Tomlin is a great professor. Rather than lecturing about the assigned chapters, he trusts that your read it and lectures on how it is being/would be applied in real life. In addition, he brings in guests speakers that often offer internships. Take him if you are actually interested in the marketing world. He has a million connections.
He rambles on during lectures, doesn't focus on a one topic most of the time. He requires you to "earn" his help, and acts like a celebrity to those naive enough to follow. He stresses internships and real work experience quite a lot if you really feel the need for that kind of motivation. Tests are straight from the book. Not recommended overall.
I took both Tomlin's Advertising and Promotions classes. Tomlin is the ONE professor I had who truly prepared me for the real world and a realistic experience. Success in his class and especially the group project led to a great piece to discuss in interviews. I have personally hired several Tomlin graduates over the years. Tough but worth it!!!
After transferring to CSULB, I found every professor to be bland until Tomlin. He's the prof that truly inspired me. Group projects are tough and not clearly told what to do, so you'll have to network. Doesn't lecture but usually great guest speakers. If you can't handle this class then it's a sign to change your major.
Professor Tomlin is the most inspirational professor at CSULB. He does provide lectures on the textbook but by the end of the class you will walk away with real world experience and knowledge that is applicable to any aspect of you life. He provides quality guidance so go to his office hours!!!
Tomlin is by far one of the best professors in the Marketing Department. If I didn't take this class, it worries me when I would have been taught what a marketing deck is. He needs to teach more MKTG classes, but the school completely ignores the students' wishes. Never had so much fun in a marketing class. Real world marketing cases
I once had a heated discussion with him - while all the other students watched in horror. This guy wants you to believe that he is the door to your future - I choose to take my own. While he may have accomplished great things, he is not a king. Pushes internships and his connections. If it works for you, I'm glad.
Prof. Tomlin will offer you valuable real-world info & exercises. Class is engaging, can sometimes be stressful, but by end of semester, you'll have the confidence, experience and presentable material necessary to get you an internship and be a top-contender for rewarding careers. Avoid if you are a procrastinator andor looking to breeze through.
The class itself is useful to gain creative marketing experience, however, he loves to talk about himself a lot- it's overwhelming sometimes. He knows marketing, but thinks he is god's gift to it, so don't take his words too seriously sometimes- you don't need his approval on everything like he's gonna make you think you do. Still, take the class.
Look, it's an important class and you should definitely take it because it's about the most creative marketing you'll be able to do while at CSULB. However, he is NOT your only way into marketing, and his connections are NOT even close to the only ones you can get. Do what you want, he's gonna try to make you think he's your only shot at success.
Amazing. Changed my life. Read assigned readings then his lectures do cover material. He told me I was not that important. It made me a better person. Spent an 1 12 after class talking to me. Gifted at bringing out the good in students. If you feel like a loser take his class. He will remind you that you can be a winner. Make a wish. Take him.
Very high expectations for students who are just beginning their collegiate career in CSULB's Marketing department. Never taught a class, always had guest speakers. Instead of strangers telling me about their jobs, I would have preferred lectures teaching the material in the textbook. Memorize the book to pass the exams. 2 projects4 tests.
His classes consist of guest speakers most of the time, he seems very full of himself which gets annoying. If you try to ask him a question he already answered, he won't tell you. And the most annoying part, if you try to question him he just attacks you with yes or no answers. However all you have to do is memorize the back of the for the tests
Very knowledgeable in advertising. Has had real life experiences with big companies. I haven never learned so much from one class. Don't take this class unless it's taught my Tomlin.
Like the other reviews mentioned, doesn't teach, only has guest speakers, and talks about how amazing he is. Extremely annoying, disrespects students and finds it humorous to humiliate students. Extremely vague w/directions. No review for tests. No power points. Discussions rarely relevant to anything but his "amazingness." Avoid at all costs.
Professor Tomlin is by far the most inspirational professor in my college career. He definitely provides real world insight into what we will be doing after we graduate. If you are willing to work hard and apply what you have learned to real life situations, then you will learn a great deal. He respects who respects him such an inspiration.
Not a single lecture, only guest speaker, you're expected to read a book. If you're late for his class, just wait till break time and sneak in, otherwise he will take that chance and humiliate you in front of class and he enjoys doing this.
It's a good class to take if you're interested in working in an advertising or promotions agency. The project is a nice booster for your portfolio if you do well on it. If you blindly agree to everything he has to say he will like you. Basically don't have your own opinion and just smile and nod. Not sure of the appeal of him but the class was cool
I really enjoyed Professor Tomlin's class, he takes a different approach to teaching. There are no lectures, only guest speakers who currently work in the field of marketing. If you're a Marketing major, Tomlin is definitely someone you want to take & get to know. Also pick your members for group projects wisely, GPs are a big chunk of your grade.
Yes, the class might not be per say easy, but easily the best class I have taken in the CBA. Sure he is on his high horse all the time, but by far I have learned the most "real marketing" lessons. All other classes are based on a textbook that is non beneficial , but Tomlin's class are another level. Might not be easy, but most learning.
100% of lecture time is devoted to his opinions, guest speakers, and real-world case studies.... yup, nothing from the textbook! Yet 95% of the exam is textbook based... You're left to your own devices for these weighty exams. HOWEVER, you also get to walk away with 2 potential promotions portfolio pieces. Choose teams for these projects wisely.
Not that great. Here's a preview of his class: 1. Rambling about unrelated topics for half the class. 2. Telling you how mediocre you are and how much he gets done every day without sleeping much. 3. Guest speaker (only interesting part of his class). 4. Midterm based on textbook (doesn't teach a single thing about it). 5. Irrelevant team projects.
Tomlin is a good guy but he doesn't teach anything. He has some guest speakers that can be interesting. But otherwise you'll need to thoroughly study the book since there's no study guide and he goes over nothing. 75 Question tests worth 150 points each x 4. And group projects.
Avoid Tomlin! I just signed up to this website to warn you people! He will be only talking about himself and won't teach you anything. Mostly female guest speakers will be there in every class talking about how great he is.. On the other hand, he will be expecting you to know every detail from the book. Avoid him and save yourself a trouble.
AGREE: 1. Rambling about unrelated topics for half the class. 2. Telling you how mediocre you are and how much he gets done every day without sleeping much. 3. Guest speaker (only interesting part of his class). 4. Midterm based on textbook (doesn't teach a single thing about it). 5. Irrelevant team projects with no specifics.
If youre shopping around for a Marketing Professor its an all-around no for this dude. Doesnt teach the class a lick. Literally. Gives tests where you have to memorize the entire book. Claims to give extra credit but it wasnt represented in my final grade. Skip him at all costs.
DO NOT TAKE if 1)suck at tests- 4 & he teaches literally nothing you must read ALL on your own!(75?s each test) 2)dont like working in groups, big part of grade 3)lectures about real life but wont help for tests 4) hes full of himself & thinks you need him to succeed, makes you look dumb 5)guests speakers 6)only go when you need to I suggest
Professor Tomlin's class is not designed for weak people. His class is hard and that's great. He's trying to show you that you need to rise above mediocrity and develop your critical thinking skills. He spends his class talking about valuable first-hand experiences and has great guest speakers. No point wasting valuable time on the textbook.
Be ready to read the whole textbook on your own. The professor does not use class time to lecture about what will be on the tests so all learning will be done on your own. There are group projects that are a big part of your grade and he gives pop quizzes randomly. The guest speakers are good but he could have gone more over marketing in class.
Do not take Professor Tomlin if you are lazy. He is a MUST take if you are a marketing major. If you can keep up and do well in his class, he WILL jumpstart your career. The grade is based on 2 group projects and 4 tests from the textbook. He does not lecture the material from the tests. Listen to all of his advice about his class, he hides nothing
He is so egotistical. First day of class he asks everyone why you're there & if you dont say someone referred you he wont accept that answer. He does maybe 4 lectures on content from the book & the rest are situational projects that he gives to you, then tells you how HE did it. the only good thing are the decks you make. I went to every class. BOO
This professor changed my life. Step up, get involved, take ownership and accountability for your work! The project decks you walk away with are portfolio worthy. Take advantage of his office hours and drop by to say hi. Prove yourself and he will set you up for interviews/internships. He got me my first marketing job and it was incredible!
If youre lazy dont take. He doesnt lecture on the book, should be reading on your own hes not going to feed you answers & the tests are not hard if you read. For people saying they dont like group projects news flash youll be working with a team when you graduate and get a job, get used to it. Overall tries to prepare you for the real world.
people who complain about Tomlin don't think outside of the box. Easily one of the most important teachers at this school, has INSANE amounts of experience in his field & truely cares about shaping his students into better marketers. Although you have to really study for test and consider non-typical sources his class is amazing.
Honestly the biggest jerk I have ever met. He called his student leader and I have it on recording. I was in his class one time and I had to switch so I wouldnt feel like I could be his next victim. He is a bully and truly no matter how much marketing experience you have, acting the way he does is cruel, unprofessional, and honesty unprofessional.
Don't recommend if you cannot take upfront honesty and criticism. If you suck, he will bluntly tell you that you suck. Might bother some people, but it didn't bother me. I enjoy honesty. You must read the textbook in order to do well on test; he does not lecture about it, instead, he mostly brings guest speakers. 2 group projects and presentation.
Prof Tomlin
During the early part of the semester this professor talked with each female student. Starting with general inquiries getting more personal until the student ask him to stop. Anyone of these exchanges by themselves would not be troubling. The fact that he interviewed every female student in this way and none of the guys is wrong.
Professor Tomlin can be intimidating but his expectations only make you work harder. He brings in many guest speakers and his lectures are all on his past experience as an executive + he encourages questions and has great advice to offer. You need to read to pass exams. This was the first class I've ever taken that felt useful to my future.
If you think you're going to get a job in marketing/advertising by just knowing how to read and memorize, good luck lol. Yes, this course includes that, but even more important is learning how to apply it and creatively problem solve. You get world-class work, world-class guests, and a shot to prove your worth. *Soft people will be weeded out.
One of the worst professors I've ever seen. It's mainly all about him, he doesn't even teach about the textbook, which is however solely part of the exam. There is only one solution for his marketing case studies and that is the one he found back then, all the others are wrong. Likes to degrade students & laugh at them.
Phenomenal. If you are going to school to get As and get a degree - don't take him. If your goal is to learn, to challenge yourself, to improve, then look no further because he is an expert at helping people to break through the boundaries of mediocrity. By far the best professor in the business department.
This is the best teacher I have ever had. He brings on the best guest speakers from Fortune 500 companies.
As a former student of Michael Tomlin, I can confidently say that he is the epitome of what every teacher should aspire to be. With his warm and engaging personality, Mr. Tomlin creates an inclusive and vibrant learning environment that has left a lasting impact on me and my peers.
talks and talks but youre better not going to class
Be prepared to read and listen to his "real-life Experience". Honestly, Class materials are really outdated. Real-life marketing requires hard skills like data analysis which he knows nothing about.
