Mike is a great professor at the Scottsdale College. He is very enthusiastic about philosophy and is very helpful to students. He makes the class intresting and fun. I would recomend his class to anyone needing a humanities coarse.

Valle is totally cool :) Makes the class fun and exciting. Gives you plenty of opportunity to earn an A if your willing to do the assignments. He also drops your lowest grade on a test. Tests are difficult but you will walk away learning a lot!

Valle is one of the best teachers i've ever had the delight of learning from. He really opens your mind to a whole new world. His passion is infectious. Holy cow did I have to study for this class. I got an A, but I worked my butt off for it. I never took a philosophy class before, but I decided to take it because it was about religion. It was very interesting, but the quizzes are hard, papers were easy, final exam was basically all the questions from the quizzes. Hard class but blows your mind!

Excellent Professor who clearly enjoys his work and knows his subject matter. It was not an easy class, you have to do the reading the the homework....but very interesting because Prof Valle keeps you engaged. What a great guy...recommend any class he teaches!

To put it mildly, this man is one of the brightest teachers you may ever come across in Philosophy. The man doesn't speak of what he is unsure of. Plus, the fact that Dr. Valle constantly has a smile on his face is incredible.

I took his late evening class and although it wasn't my preferred time of day (or night) to learn, I genuinely enjoyed attending his class every single time. His lectures were profoundly interesting and left me wanting to learn more, excited for the next class meeting to hear more of it. Very cool and passionate persona.

He's the type of teacher you want to drink beer with. He knows the material like he eats it for breakfast and his lectures are interesting and funny. He rides a motorcycle for extra "coolness" and wears a cowboy hat. Now, that is not to say that Prepositional Logic is easy, it is not. But you couldn't pick a better man to teach you the material.

Makes this course interesting; for those who don't plan on making this their career. Would rather him write the material (create powerpoints, lectures, etc) because he makes the material more relatable and understandable in comparison to the book. Never understood what I was reading in the book, but always could comprehend whatever he discussed.

He's personable, he doesn't assign too much work (but still probably not an easy A for most), and he's very willing to work with you if you fall behind or can't make it to class. He is very unbiased in his teaching about the subject, which is really important when talking about something like religion. Make sure to get the book and do all your papers, they're east.

I have taken PHI101 as well as 105 now with Dr. Valle. He gives a very unbiased and insightful lecture on all of the many theories he teaches about. Quizzes are straightforward and he assigns short 1 page papers which he grades extremely fairly. Hes always in a cheerful mood and never lets the class feel dull or drawn out. A great professor.

I took Philosophy 101, Philosophy of Religion, and Ethics with Dr. Valle in 2008-2009 and he remains my FAVORITE professor Ive ever had. He is a hilarious, eloquent, respectful, and captivating educator whose insights still ring in my head to this day. Dr. Valle is such a great and influential person in my life. I took PHI101 104 and 105. From a knowledge stand point you will only get what you put in. His lectures are masterful. Dr. Michael Valle is not only a fascinating instructor, but he is also nothing short of life experiences and a culmination of esoteric and philosophy knowledge. There is extra credit in his class and his assignments are very cool. His class is exciting, funny, and thought-provoking. Professor Valle is what every instructor strives to become.

Really Chill teacher. You get 10% extra credit if you have perfect attendance but attendance is not mandatory. You take a quiz every other week and write a double-spaced one-page essay every other week. He drops your 2 lowest quizzes. Pretty easy class. I RECOMMAND!
