To be honest, I only attended the first 3 class sessions. I had previously learned Calculus 1. The WebAssing homework is easy and the quizzes/exams are basically identical in many cases to the homework. The pace is very easy. Now, the class is not for the weak math student as it heavily relies of self study. He knows his stuff, but can be boring.

Unless youre absolutely great at math, DO NOT TAKE HIM. His class is not what you think itd be.. he wants you to teach it to yourself instead of doing what hes suppose to and teach his students. Also is not very good at responding to emails. Only good thing is that he drops the worst quiz and exam grade.

Though the class was 100% online, Prof. Wright gave twice a week time zoom meeting us, reviewing and making sure all students have clearly understood the subjects. Straightforward with the content and homework was required if you want to do well on the assessments.

Dr. Wright does most of his lessons on a chalkboard. For me, this was slightly an issue because I could not go back and see what we had done so far. His tests relied on knowing past material and had repeat questions from quizzes which made studying easier. The homework was much harder than tests and there were some questions he could not answer.

To summarize the course in 1 word: inconsistent +The lectures are decent, you work on problems alongside him and ask questions. -The tests are super random and contain some problems you have never seen before (most problems are from lectures). The Tests and Lectures depend heavily on his mood and sometimes he gets mad and just walks out the door.

Teaches diffeq in a way that is very example focused. Most of class is spent working through problems together on the board. The WebAssign problems are usually harder than anything you will see in class or on exams. Exams are cumulative, quizzes are not; reuses exam problems that people got wrong on the last quiz/exam. Plenty of EC opportunities.

His lectures are okay, but the way he picks his problems is incredibly lazy. He doesn't fallow his own syllabus. EVERYTHING is cumulative. He is reluctant to tell you what to study. He gets angry often. Makes mistakes frequently. Pretty much just comes off as a tired and completely apathetic teacher who got stuck with the job and just doesn't care.

Never had a lazier teacher. The syllabus schedule? Throw it out he didn't fallow it. Course is cumulative. Any quiz or test can have literally anything on it. No guides. He pulls questions right out of textbook and can't even be bothered to change the numbers. Gets annoyed/fussy. Math often wrong during lectures. Pretty much teach yourself. Avoid.

Took his class 2 years ago. He cared for his students and usually graded on a curve. He always put time aside if you need additional help with a lesson. He often would let us work with each other in class to help build better skills with lectures. Take this professor if you can, laid back class where you work for your grade in a fun way.

Three major issues with this Professor that need to be fixed. Methods used in class do not reflect what's in the text book. Barely explains what he's doing in class. He just writes it on the board with little explanation. Also the practice he gives doesn't match what we're tested on.

Does not explain what he writes on the board. What he has on quiz and test is not what he teach. He writes everything from the textbook. He expects you to remember and know everything he is writing on the board. Extremely unhelpful teaching and he will call you out if you don't know the answer and still will not help you.

Professor Wright is a great guy. He takes time to talk to his students and seems to truly care about people. Be aware though you have to put in a lot of time outside of class because lecture only consist of watching him do problems on the board. Overall though his exams are fairly simply compared to homework and textbook problems.

Professor Wright is a smart guy. He does problems on the board that are way harder than the test questions, and if you pay attention in class the tests are super easy. He does have a hard time figuring out where people are confused, so questions usually turn into a ten minute thing. Great personality and hilarious. Always extra credit offered.
