Best teacher ever!
Very caring professor. He makes sure that students on task. He follows up with all students and encourages them to do great. He helps students in his office, and answers all emails fast. I emailed him many times for help, and his response was fast and helpful. He eased the pressure on me instead of waiting a longer time.
He cares so much about his students. the subject is hard I agree, but he made it so helpful for the students. If you take him make sure you will put all of your effort in your work so he can help you.

He says stuff like, "I gave you a hard test so you could 'appreciate me'" THIS IS NOT AN APPRECIATION CLASS! WE DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT YOU! He's easy nonetheless.
He would bend over backwards to help you. Very caring and very kind. Only problem is that he'll try to cover a whole section in 20 minutes (and not go back over it) if you let him. Ask for help or a review, though, and he'll re-teach or help you outside of class.
When I first started in math I was afraid that I wouldn't do well. But Mr. Z explained everything thoroughly and I began to really enjoy math. I would highly recommend him to other students. He makes class fun and educational at the same time.
Habibiiiii this professor, hands down the best professor in HFCC who cares about his students! GO FOR HIM!!!!!! I am not an A student, but I earned it this semester without even trying.
He's honestly a great professor. He will stay 10 hours later if you were to ask him to just to make sure you get the material. If you respect him, he will seriously make sure you pass... IF you try. You won't pass his class if you don't put in your part though. Otherwise, I did not try at all and got a B
I hated him at first because you can barely understand him, but he grew on me and hes pretty chill. Only assigns occasional online homework, never really used the book.
One of the best teachers I have taken. He is very clear with the subject material. Very very very easy A if you pay attention. I failed the same math before with a differnet prof and with this class I got a 3.7. Online homework and quizzes are very easy and same with the tests. They are very short and simple. Also hes pretty funny.
If u feel a little lost in the beginning, DO NOT PANIC! Mr. Z HAS GOT YOUR BACK. No student left behind. Ppl have flat out told me "no matter what,you wont pass statistics" They obviously never had Mr. Z! Believe me this subject isnt easy, you MUST make an effort & keep up w attendance as each lesson key 2 move on. But Mr.Z will get u there. Beast!

You want to learn statistics.. take him then. he has long lectures, so make sure you can sit and focus. . If you can sit and learn through examples this is the teacher for you. all you need to do is attend class everyday and you will get an easy A.....i recommend him for anyone looking for a good teacher
Annoying class. The professor is not helpful. He explains very fast and expects you to learn 3 chapters.
He will definitely get on you if you're not working at a fast enough pace but he just really wants his students to do well. Has extra lab hours to ensure students who need extra help get it and constantly makes jokes during the class which lightens the mood since most people hate math.
Had him for Calculus. Tough Coursework but he makes things easy and understandable by giving a lot of examples. He went slow and easy for the first 3 quarters but then flew through the last 3 chapters to finish before the semester ends. Even then, he was very helpful when I went for help during office hours. Also he gives extra credit!!
If you just attend classes and do homework, you'll absolutely pass with an A.

This professor is more than great. He makes the calculas easy and fun. If I'm required to take higher math class i would probably go with him. In addition to his great way of teaching, he is so funny you might spend the whole session laughing. I'm so glad to had him for this class. If you care about the class he'll help you to succeed.
Professor Zalzali hands down is the best henry ford math instructor. I would higly recommend him , he makes his lectures fun and he is hilarious. If you want to learn calculus take it with him.
Stay away from this teacher in condensed semesters. He moves too fast for himself, where he will write down wrong answers to problems. Shows a couple examples that are easy, but when you get to the homework you're lost and need mymathlab to guide you. I failed this clasome, if math doesn't come easy to you don't take him.
One of my most favorite professors at hfc.. very nice, helpful, funny, and always willing to help his students.. explains math very easily and is very easy on grading.. don't take it with any other professor except him
I took a math 110 with him over the summer. The material wasn't the easiest, but he isn't a picky grader. Overall a great teacher who wants everyone to do well. Don't leave class early, pay attention and asks questions.
The best math professor ever! Very easy grader, admits mistakes if they occur, and genuinely funny and nice. I'm a PolSci major and I took this class just to be fulltime so for me to get an A, you can too!
The professor is good he explain everything and he is always in his office hours to help you all the time and he will not be bored if one student goes in his office hours several times for different questions . He really wants to help students succeed and protects their privacy. I also have to admit that he helped me several times. Great job. A max
Best math professor at HFC.
he does not teach anything and also takes his time to answer a question in person and in an email. when I was in this class he made it seem like his class is the only thing that matters. so i did not like this teacher for many reasons and suggest that no one takes him.
his online class was very easy. i have never met or seen him in person and he rounded my A- to an A without asking. there were 2-6 online assignments every week and one quiz every 2-3 weeks. one of the assignments requires you to show your work and post a picture of it. there were 3 tests worth 100 points and the final worth 150.
Great teacher, but he does not respect his students. He will embarrass you in front of the class if you ask a question.

I had him a while back and he was a very caring and good grader. Took him again this semester and he was very rude and always brags about how he's the highest math professor when all of his students have a failing grade. he should be nowhere near a professor.
Terrible.
Impossible to pass unless ur already proficient in math. It was hw, quizzes, and exams on campus. The amt of hw was crazy yet it barely counts for worthy points. The hw has no guide, and incorrect answers get no explanation. There are also quizzes and the exams (worth about 400/700 pts) on campus. Not to mention, he isnt helpful thru email either.
This is by far the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. He stinks. I have been good at math my whole life, but everything changed when I met Michael Zalzali. I have never had to write notes so fast in my life. I don't know who gave this man his degree I really don't. Terrible. Save yourself the time, the money, and the disappointment. BYE.
I enjoyed the class very much. He is extremely caring and tries his best for his students to succeed; he gives multiple opportunities for you to do well. He is very educated on the subject. I would definitely take him again. He understands that not everybody understands math as quickly as others. He is very understanding and is humorous as well.
Mr. Zalzali is a great math teacher, certainly better than the alternatives. Show up, do the homework, and ask questions. I did all these things and this class was a breeze most of the time. Don't do these things and I think you have no right to complain. He is always In his office incase you do still need extra help. Don't hesitate to take!
hes really nice, dont use his kindness as an advantage because he will hate you lollll, homework and quizzes are all online. his class is an easy A if u show up and listen but you still have to work hard. hes accessible at his office and explains very well. I very well enjoyed him as a teacher
Mr. Zalzali is a good teacher. Show up and do the work and you will be fine. He cares about his students and whether they understand the material or not. He sometimes teaches fast but he is always available during his office hours. Math is not my best subject and i thought this class was going to be very difficult, but Mr. Zalizali made it bearable

Worst professor I have ever had at this school. I had a 3.9 GPA before this semester and I put more effort into this class than any class in my life and still received a D. He puts stuff in the homework forums that weren't even in the videos or eBook. He will also throw random problems on tests that only appear once all semester. DON'T TAKE HIM!
Did not respond well to my clear, polite, and direct questions. Gave me a 0 on a forum even though I did every single question on it except for one because the question wasn't even in the book or in any of the videos. Unless you are a future engineer or physicist, this professor is probably not for you.
I love Mr. Zalzali he is like, the best math teacher I have had for my entire college experience. I can understand and process math because I'm horrible at it. His office hours are convenient and he is open to help individually and without bias. He is also very funny so that's a bonus. I'd strongly recommend his course.
Idk how to feel about him. I took the online MATH 110. Exams on campus. I didnt like it at all it was very hard, he gets annoyed when you email him. Kind of unapproachable. I barely passed this class & Im not the type to slack at all. But you have to teach yourself the material of course. It was all around hard.
Exams are on campus only. Homework for almost all sections and quizzes for every chapter. Responds to emails pretty straightforward (if it seems rude, he isnt trying to be). The few times I met him he was nice, just a little blunt. I wouldn't say he's a really hard grader but its stricter than other professors I've had.
Hands down the best professor , he is very caring and helps you. I hated math and thought I would never make it though , but he the professor to take! Will give you breaks when needed and go into depth of what we need to know & why.
The final exam is HEAVY on your grade and finishes many chapters in a week. Hard to remember all the criteria (taught so fast) for a test.
He goes over the material like a rocket and gets mad if you ask him to repeat something. very boring and only talks to the smart kids, also he says a lot of dad jokes which actually get annoying. He barely knew how to grade quizzes and got mad when I didn't like the grade The good thing is he will talk to you and open homework for you if needed.
Prof. Zalzali gives lots of homework every week that is only worth 70 points total in the end. His notes do not focus on what's important for the test and is not helpful when you ask for help. I would not recommend him to anyone unless you are already good at math.
I took this as an online class. Normally, I am pretty good at Math, but I had to teach myself everything. If you are doing bad, he opens up the work for the whole semester and you can turn it in right before the final. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU PUT IN THE TIME

Very difficult class. Took it online because i was not able to register on campus. Every week we had 15 homework assignments, quizzes and classwork. Your grade will stay at 20% until the teacher logs in and updates everything. Which takes a month or two. He also does not like responding to emails. Tests are taken on campus or on web camera.
I should've dropped his class once I found out how he is. If you're trying to take a math class you won't learn with this guy. Take someone who actually teaches properly. My suggestion is to take another teacher!
Teaching? What teaching? In his online classes, he literally does NONE. You are paying for a stale, pre-made MyMathLab course that is made to be used hand in hand with lectures. BUT HE DOESNT EVEN LECTURE. You get no help, and he set the MyMathLab up so poorly activities dont show- but he'll claim its your fault for not doing work you cant even see
Professor Zalzali is a good professor, although for some people it may be difficult to understand him since he has a slight accent. Hes fair and cares for the well being of his students. The homework as well as the tests can be difficult and contain a ton of questions that take a lot of time. I suggest carefully planing by using a calander.
I took this class with professor Zalzali on campus but unfortunately because of COVID we had to take it online. Let mesay that it is an extremely hard class online, if you mess up on a forum he emails you being rude. When we first started he gave us over 10 assignments due in a week. He is not considerate of peoples situations during this pandemic

Professor Zalzali was the worst professor I have had. He did not help me so I had to withdraw, which I was trying to avoid. This class caused me so much stress and anxiety and would not recommend. Online is not easy, especially when the professor does not know what they are doing.
Went to one of his class the first day of the semester and IMMEDIATELY dropped the class lmao. This man looks like he's chillin feet up on his couch talking to us and it seems like he wasn't even gonna teach anything to the class. Felt bad for them honestly. Dont take this class Trust.
I took this class as an online course, so I cannot say my experience reflects his teaching ability. I had to teach myself from the pearson program that was used and extra youtube videos that the professor provided. I would recommend this class be take in person rather than online for someone who is not familiar with college algebra.
So much homework every week and even better you have to teach yourself literally everything. You have to take the tests while you're on zoom and its recorded, dude was literally eating while we were taking a test.

Very good professor. If you are struggling he is always there to help in whatever way he can just need to speak up and let him know. Definitely a lot of homework so I would not recommend taking too many credit hours with this class as you will need a lot of time to dedicate to this one. Overall great class and would recommend.
had to drop this class half way through the semester. workload equals to about 20 hours a week, no extensions. he doesnt talk to you its all on mathlab (if youre taking it online) and there is a lot of videos that can help you. if u dont have the time to commit then dont take this course
A few comments say hes easy but they had him online so thats a lot easier in person hes confusing and people fail his tests, he has no quizzes and a lot of homework. But ur grade is mainly the 6 tests which usually at least 6-7 people will fail and the rest will barley pass. Dont take just wait for a different semester w better teacher options.
Although this is a difficult course, Zalzali was a very lenient and nice professor. Cared about his students and wanted everyone to pass, he made the effort to make sure each student passed. You need to put in work, this isn't a blow off class and studying is a must in order to pass. Put in effort and he will recognize that in the end.

Mr Zalzali just spoke and spoke and spoke and spoke the whole hour and i still dream about him speaking.
Class is hard!!! Especially online. But the syllabus is very easy to follow, and Zilzali is very accessible and ready to help.
This is one of the best teachers I have ever taken! He cares for his students like his kids. He has a very open heart and is very inspiring. He has many techniques to help gain knowledge. He is very respectful and professional. I highly recommend his class. The bad reviewers are people who are lazy and want the information to be spoon-fed to them.
Wut to Expect: 1. Homework is on WebAssign 2. If you do the homework, you will pass the tests (the test Q's are pulled from the homework Q's, just with different numbers) 3. There are 4 Tests, 1 Final, 30 Homework Assignments in total 4. If Zalzali sees that you are coming to class everytime he will respect you 5. He's nice, take him!
The class of professor Micheal was from the best classes that I have taken. He explains in a simple way, gives you extra credit, exams are from class works and HW, when you study you will get good grades, you can get the full mark, and he is not a though grader. He wants you to pass with best grades if you deserve it. I recommend this professor!
Very good professor but not the best at lectures if you actually put in the work you will pass and if you really immerse your self in this class you will get a A.
I would not take this professor if you are trying to pass calculus without much issue. He gives lots of homework and his tests are harsh on your grade. you have little to no room to make any errors especially on tests. favoritism is strong in his class and I've noticed he likes to pick on less favored students by using them in some of his "jokes."
Do not take this Professor, he teaches his lectures like you are already supposed to know this class. Does not explain problems well and goes over them very fast. He will make you study several sections for a test and give you a review that does not match anything given on the test. Also, he gets mad when you try and reach him outside of class.
TEST HAVEY SO MUCH HOMEWORK AND QUIZES. All being on Mymathlab trust me you'll be trailing behind and all the work was busy that you must teach yourself. Most of your grade comes from 2-3 exams and for me, the stuff that I learned from the review guide was completely different believe me take an in-person class or a class that isn't test-heavy.
He does not teach it AT ALL. You have to teach it to yourself from the online textbook and homework, He is not accessible for office hours. I set up an appointment with him where he picked the time. I showed up and he was teaching a class during that time. Then told me it was my fault for not getting his attention anyways.

Mr Zalzali is one of the best professor I have ever had. he's very respectful and cares about his students. His teaching style is amazing. The exams are average and fair if you study the hw and focus in class.
I reached out via email to explain my awful work situation. The professor replied, “I hope your class is as important to you as your work.” This comment felt rude and unhelpful. My other classmates have also been sent such remarks with the same weird and ill-mannered comments, I hope that in the future he can improve how he responds to others.
I took the 8 week online course w in person test. If you're really good at memorizing and applying formulas then the course shouldn't be too difficult. He responds to emails quickly and sometimes extends assignments. But there is a lot of homework, like twice as much as my other classes.
A lot of unnecessary homework, he speaks quickly and when you tell him to slow down he just does not listen. Test reviews are helpful but overall you basically need to teach urself if you're too "slow" for him. Sometimes gets annoyed when you ask him a question. Most of the hw isn't smth ur gna be tested on so again focus on test reviews he gives.
Mr. Zalzali is a very nice person, but can be a difficult teacher. Attendance is important, because he will not put much information online. He will post lecture notes, but only after complaining about having to do so. He makes a practice test before each exam, so study it very, very well. Tests are hard. I did pass, but almost did not. Stressful.
Left due to health issues for half the semester and got stuck with math tutors as “professors” but for the time he was there he didn't rlly explain too much of his notes js reads what he wrote- unless you ask him. Does go a bit fast but will answer questions. Gives lots of hw on XYZ some are unnecessary- not included on the exams. Exams online.
I found this class particularly challenging due to communication difficulties, the instructor's English was hard to understand. Additionally, making jokes during tests made the environment feel less focused and added to the difficulty. If possible, I would recommend exploring other options for this course to ensure a smoother learning experience.
