He tells you what you need to know to pass the test and quizzes, very easy if you can pick up on it. If you do homework each night and decent with math its easy.

I've had the honor of having Mr. Zugates as my Trig teacher. (And this was an evening class!) In spite of his monotonous tone, he conveys the subject in a most commendable fashion. When you get the chance, take him.

At LBCC take Mike for Math 105, 110 and 130, if you can. He is the best, you will understand Math and get A's if you do the work he lays out for you. Avoid Ladera Rosenberg for Math!

I got a C in his class. He is a pretty easy professor, but I do not like his grading style. He tends not to give partial credit. If you actually show up (not like me) you might do well in his class. semi recommended

Michael likes to help students if they don't understand. However, students tend to not ask (shy?) or make use of resources therefore falling behind and dropping the section. Near the end of class, an approximate 30 students dropped; just a picture of what's to come.

He is a nice, helpfull and smart guy. He will give you a similiar questions for the quiz, midterm and exam, but NO EXTRA CREDIT. Well, if you keep doing homework and listening, you will doing fine.

this teacher is not an easy teacher. He explains his material thoroughly. His test exams are not so easy because the problems are a little different from the homework. He's an easy going teacher and is helpful, but he sometimes makes you look stupid in front of the class.

This teacher is very decent. I like how he is concerned with whether or not you get the material. He will answer any questions you may have for him and he's always happy to help. He does not like cheaters and will tear up your test if you get caught cheating. He did that to 2 girls in my class. Nonetheless, he is good, and has pretty eyes!

his finite math is not easy, but he does explain everything thoroughly and does answer questions. he also tutors, well, at least when i had him...overall, he's hard but it's worth it.

He's a good teacher, but a very hard grader. The way he explained things made sense, but when you had to do them on the test, the slightest mistake would take off big points, overall a fairly good teacher, just remember he grades pretty hard

He is clear and a great teacher, if you can take him, don't consider anyone else! He has lots of little tricks to make it easier to understand and remember. He gave me an A but I give him one too. Summer semester is the best way to take his class

He's a really helpful teacher and helps you answer questions on problems but the class isn't very easy. I managed to earn a C but be sure you ask questions if you're confused with any problems.

I came into Beg.Alg. not knowing anything! Mr.Z is SUPER helpful..Super mellow guy...doesnt take roll..his notes are clear and he explains things in an easy way! He wants you to learn and help you! Even though I didn't get an A...I learned a lot and wish I could take him for the next class! Do the homeworks..they help!!

Mr. Zugates is a good teacher. He is always willing to answer any questions you have. Gives fairly easy questions on the test. Kind of a lot of homework sometimes but they are odd #'s so you can always check your answers!

had to drop class, summer class was way to fast. and i have 3.8 gpa. was failing. he didn't seem very empathetic. if you like math he might be great, but if it's not your bag, i would avoid. he was good, just to fast. not much on the warm fuzzy side.

He is a very nice professor. He really cares about his students and will take the time to explain anythiny ypu may have questions about. A very nice and uplifting professor. I would recommend him.

Zugates is a nice and approachable guy. He teaches at a fast pace. The only bad thing about him is that he has messy penmanship.

Zugates is great. He goes over things clearly and makes it easier to understand certain math problems that normally would have been confusing. His tests aren't bad, and if you do the homework, you should do fine on the tests. He gives out practice tests that are almost identical to the actual tests and helps out when u dont understand something.

Mike is a good guy overall, but he is harder then the average teach. I know I am no math wiz but this is the worst I have ever done, I did my homework i did tutoring etc. But the tests are extremely difficult and he grades them with points all over the place, he requires you do homework he should up the points he gives and lower test points

Zugates makes everything very clear & doesn't mind going over a problem or explaining things. Near the end over half the students dropped. But the majority of them acted immature, arrived late, didn't turn in hw, goofed off, & then wondered why they failed. Only bad thing is his writing is bad. Just practice 1hr a day at home & you'll pass.

you either get math or you don't. zugates helps you out when you don't understand. his handwriting sucks. attend every class because you WILL get lost.

Mike is a great dude know he cares. BUT SUPER HARD. if you struggle even a little bit I would not recomend him. I went to every class, I did all my homework, I got his help after class, i had tutors, and had other outside help. but the tests were rough, and hard. i had to withdrawl from the class for fear of getting an F.

i took his 8 wk course. i did my homework EVERYnight (3hours a night!!), and i got an A in the class. more then half the students dropped/failed. he does grade hard. ex. i worked out a problem but i forgot the negative so i received 1 point out of 6 for the whole problem. If you KNOW math, then take it, if not, i dont recommend

Mr. Zugates is a good teacher. He makes it easy to understand the content and cares how the students are doing in the class.

I took his Math 110 and Math 130 class both back to back 8 week accelerated math class and I got two A's. I worked my butt off for those two A's but it's possible. You can't afford to miss class and do the hw as soon as possible, it 's very helpful.

I was dropped from the class because of low test scores, but if you really, really study and you really, really try, and you ask for help often, you can pass this class. Zugates is a good teacher it just depends if you're a good student to get a good grade.

Im taking him now in the summer. He is great and he will make sure you understand every step to each problem, its up to you to ask questions or sit there and fail. I suck at math, and so far I have a B.

Although I dropped his class, because it was an accelerated, he was a great teacher. He was always willing to stop and make sure you understand the formula precisely! Even though the whole class already knew, he wanted YOU to know too. He even stays after class if you need to ask him more questions. He CARES, and it's great!

Math is progressive, so if you plan on not showing up-you WILL get lost, regardless who your professor is. Zugates is a great Professor, he wants his students to pass but you must put in effort. Do your homework, ask questions and SHOW UP for class. He gives practice exams that really help prepare for the exams.You can't skate through math people!

Very good professor. Don't be late or you will get confused, as he tends to start his lectures at exactly class time. Gives a good amount of homework but it helps you a lot. He doesn't do the work for you, but if you have any questions he will always answer them for you. He gives practice tests that are very similar to actual test. Grades easy.

Great teacher. Took Math 110 3 times with others and couldn't grasp it, took his class and passed with 97%. Homework is all odd problems and due at test time every two weeks or so. Answers any questions you have before each class, and even stays after class for additional questions. Study guides are almost exactly like the test. Easy A.

he has study guides!!! the study guides are exactly the same as the test if you use the study guide you will pass lots of homework but it all helps

This teacher. WOW. Other math teachers have never taught me what he has and the way. He has such a way of teaching that it literally feels like you're the only one in the room. I'm currently taking his summer class and although math has never ever been my thing... I TOTALLY RECOMMEND him because he will make mathheaven.

He teaches very well. If you miss at least one class, you probably will miss a lot. He gives out study guides and the study guides are literally like the test. He doesn't put anything extra, so straight forward.

I actually understand math with this professor! He goes over homework and goes through the problems until everyone understands. He gives out a study guide before exams which are identical to the exam itself. Highly recommend to those struggling with math! You also don't need to buy the book, he will let you take pictures of his copy for homework!

His teaching style is great because he goes step by step and if you have any questions he'll answer them until everyone understands. He'll tell you straight up if you're failing and attendance is mandatory to pass. Would recommend to those who are willing to put in the effort because it really isn't that hard with the way he teaches.

The professor was good, the lectures are clear and to the point. He even gives us all the material to study for his test and the final. Don't miss any of his classes because each day there will be a lesson and if not a test.

Zugates is an amazing teacher. His technique is eye opening. I would have never passed if it weren't for how helpful and clear he is. Definitely do not skip class. You will get lost. Try not to be late either because he usually starts right away if he's not helping with hw questions first. Definitely recommend.

Great Math Professor! He gives you study guides that are almost identical to the Exams. As long as you study your study guides and do all your homework, YOU WILL PASS HIS CLASS. I passed his class with an A. I struggled with math all of high school and now I love math.

Professor Zugates is a good professor. Our class was once a week so it was really difficult to keep up with the homework. Gives a LOT of homework. If you do the work and do well on the exams, you will pass. He is happy to answer questions, but he says don't take once a week math classes. Do NOT miss class, you will miss a ton, he covers a lot.

This teacher is great. However, the class is very fast paced. I am taking it on a weekend.. Attendance is mandatory. For me, I think he's a little fast paced, but if you put a lot of effort you can do it. The exam study guides are great. I just wish it wasn't so fast paced...

This professor will help you during office hours! I truly recommend taking him. He will help you even when you're struggling. Just ask and he'll make sure you pass and know what you are doing. He makes sure that all of his students understand and doesn't move on if they don't.

Professor Zugates is a great professor. I took his Winter Class. He is very clear of what is expected of you. pay attention in class and make sure to do the homework and practice solving the in class examples. The study guide is very helpful coz it's very similar to the actual tests and quizzes. I wish he teach other Math Classes.

Zugates is a good guy. He is patient, understanding, well-spoken, thorough, and willing to slow down for anybody who asks. Study guides are nearly identical to exams. Homework is not overbearing and supports a good grade. I didn't hate math while learning it from Zugates.

I loved taking Math with Professor Zugates! His writing is not the greatest, but it's legible & if you don't understand it he will correct it. He's very open to questions & gives thorough explanations. Study Guides are nearly identical to tests which was great. This is the first time I've passed math in a long time! I wish he taught more classes.

Professor Zugates teaches at a very manageable pace and always asks for questions before he skips to the next chapter. If you have a question he will gladly go through the problem again. His grading and the assigned homework is very straightforward and is all explained in the syllabus. All homework is due the days of exams (4 + Final Exam total).

He really try's to make sure that you understand the lectures and willing to answer any questions you have

Mr. Zugates was a great teacher. Although he had a lot of homework, he would ask if anyone had any problems and would go through the question with you. He's really open when it comes to questions and you can even ask questions during the lecture. The study guides were almost the same thing as the exams too. (4 exams and 2 parts for the final)

His lectures are easy to follow. If you struggle in math this is the professor for you. Try not to miss test day because it may be hard trying to get the points back than it seems. If you do miss there is no make-ups for anything and everything not just test. If he drops you there is no second chances so just try your best. He can help you a lot!

Zugates helped me finally pass this class! His lectures are straightforward and hes constantly checking to make sure you understand the material. Lots of homework, but only odd problems (back of the book!) and he gives you chance to ask questions about any problem from the homework. His handwriting sucks but he clarifies if you cant read it.

This was my 2nd time taking Math 110 and this professor helped me to understand math in a much clearer way than I have ever been taught. His lectures are straightforward and everything he teaches is on the exams. He allows questions before the test to clarify any bumps. I recommend taking him in the summer! I will for sure take him for Math130

Fantastic teacher! 5 test and MLA assignments as well as homework. Homework is collected on test day. Gives practice test that you go over the day before a test. Has no problem stopping and explaining when needed. Teaches what is relevant and won't give crazy questions. Show up unless you have a friend who can give you copies of lecture notes.

Zugates is a very straight to the point dude. If you want to learn he will teach you. If he thinks you are too dumb to pass the test he will tell you to drop and take statistics instead. Practice tests are the actual tests just different numbers. Communicates "why" well. Highly recommend for Intermediate Algebra Professor.

You can't get any better than Mr. Zugates, he is an outstanding professor. I took him for Math 110 and because I was able to connect and understand the way he presented the material, I took him again for Math 130. Engage in the content, participate in class and don't just sit there silently, you will earn an A if you do the work! He cares.

Took him when we switched to online due to the corona virus, but he was a great professor! Assigned lots of homework, but he goes over any ones you do not understand. Good choice

Straight forward grader

Really clear and straightforward professor. For online class, he films the lectures for each chapter and does plenty of examples. He even provides practice tests and films himself doing the problems, so he can show you exactly what work he expects. There's a lot of homework but that's what you should expect with a 5 unit class.

Mr. Zugates is a great teacher! He is funny and very nice. His lectures are straight forward and he is open to all questions. He is very kind in his responses and ensures you understand steps necessary. Homework is due on test days. He replaces your lowest score with your second lowest at the end of the semester.

Be ready to do lots of homework! 4 tests total & then the final, he will replace your lowest test score with second lowest & homework is collected on the day of tests. Study guides are exactly like the test & you cannot miss class cause he covers a lot in one lecture. He does stop to clarify anything you don't understand and even stays after class

I took his Pre-Calculus course in the winter. He assigns a good amount of homework. Do NOT fall behind or you WILL fail. He makes his grading policy and expectations very clear. Take advantage of his practice exam videos, he goes over the practice exam questions which are practically identical to the actual exam. Put in the work and you will pass.

Mr Zugates is an amazing professor, but be prepared for lots of homework and a strict grading criteria on exams. The lectures are good and he explains well.

Only problem I had and made me withdrawal from his class was his lectures. Our lessons would be doing even problems from the textbook and our homework would be the odd. Most of the questions never were close to the ones we had to do for homework, also a TON of homework. My last straw was when we did about 5-6 lessons in two days.

Your grades depend on homework and exams. It is a normal math class. Loved this professor! He is super nice and taught very well! This class was very easy due to taking a similar class in high school.

Professor Zugates teaches with a clear system, but it requires dedication. The lectures are helpful, and going to class is crucial. unstuck ai was a game-changer for exam prep - I found it super useful alongside the textbook.
