Really tries to help everyone, if you goto class you'll do fine. She is a little confusing now and then.
A little confusing sometimes, but she really cares about all her students and tries hard to help everyone pass the course.

I swear to God this woman does not speak english. She uses words that she thinks are the translation in English but do not make sense how they are used.
I'll put it this way...I would've taken Nigam again, and LIKED IT if i had known i would've had to sit through this torture.
Avoid this teacher if you aren't good with math. She basically looks at the board the entire class and gets frustrated with you if you ask questions during class. She wants you to learn, and she is genuine, but she makes NO SENSE! She gives review sheets for each test so that helps a little
Extremely nice and helpful, if you pay attention in class you will do fine in the course, she truly cares about her students and if you are considerate and respectful to her, she is more than willing to help. Tests are basically open notes and she is always willing to help if you have any questions
She is a very nice professor. You can do well if you paid attention in class. She is also willing to provide helps if you had any questions. Tests are uaually based on the review that she gives before the tests and she will help you if you had any difficutlies during the tests.

Professor Alexandru is a great lady. She is there for you if you need help with the material. Show up to class, do your work, and the tests shouldn't be that hard. I would take her again, and would recommend her to anyone interested in taking statistics.
For both classes Professor Alexandru encourages students to acheive. She offers help before, during, and after tests are taken. She truly hopes students will succeed and in turn offers help throughout the semester.
Prof Alexandru is very commited to her teaching. She is always there to help you, and I truly mean this. She has a great personality as well. She wants you to get a good grade, shes there to help you. I def recommend taking here!! Shes the best Stats teacher out there. I had a wonderful time in her class. So take her!!!
She is such a genuine teacher and really wants you do to well in this class. She is always available for extra help. She is very encouraging and should be a motivational speaker. She is a great teacher. If you show her your struggling she will help.

Cares deeply about her students. Once you get past her accent her class is kind of easy. Homework is not manditory, but do it because if you don't, you probably won't understand the class. She answers all of your questions and is avalible before and after class. She's a great teacher! Highly recommended

Professor Alexandru was by far one of the best professors I have encountered while at Quinnipiac University. She is highly engaging as well as deeply caring about her students. Professor Alexandru relates statistics to real-life examples and tries to make the learning environment fun for her students. I highly recommend taking a class with her!
Professor Alexandru is one of the best professors I've had at QU. She cares greatly about how her students are doing and will give any help necessary to make understanding the material easier. I definitely recommend her. All of the tests are very straight forward and she does practice problems before the test that mirror the material on it.

Professor Alexandru is one of the most helpful professors I have ever had the privelege to learn from. She is always reminding us that she is willing to work with us anytime we need her. The course work is challenging, as Statistics can be very difficult. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have her as one of my professors.

Class is so very easy and she makes it easy. The class is just a regular statistics class just applied to Biological situations. She gives you everything you need to pass. She wants you to pass.

Math is one of the subjects that everyone learns at a different pace. Was able to take a class full of students with different abilities and give each student a full understanding of each topic. The best teacher I have had so far. More than willing to help struggling students. Highly, highly recommend taking her at least once while attending. TAKE!

Absolutely fabulous! She really wants to help you understand the material..she is willing to help you in whatever way possible-Even if material on the test is unclear she will make sure you understand. great teacher and definately one of the best professors I've had at QU.
She's an awesome teacher. She gives you the formulas for each test. She assigns homework but doesn't check it. It helps if you do the homework though. She's willing to help if you need it and really wants you to pass the course. Take her if you can!
Great prof! Gives you everything you need to know for exams. Always willing to help before and after class. Gives formulas for tests and also helps during tests. Optional homework. Didn't use the text book. Boosts grade 1/2 a point if you only have 2 absences. Take her!!
Has a very heavy accent so extremely hard to understand. Overall tests and projects are easy but going to the class is a bore. Homework is optional and the projects help boost your grade. Would reccomend for an easy A but MUST get extra help on side.

the class horrible and she actually expects you to do the work (well at least makes it seem like it) because some how i missed 2 major essays worth 20% of my grade and still got and A. If you dont mind listening to her voice or sitting in a boring class def take her for and A.
Her paper assignments for QU 301 are terrible. She asks way to much in page set up, size font, type of font, and spacing. DO NOT take her for QU 301!!!
She is a nice lady but a horrible teacher. she is very unclear about what should be in the paper and her font and spacing requirements are ridiculous.
She is an extremely caring and nice person and is willing to help however her accent is so strong that I did not understand anything said. She is also horrible at explaining anything. She puts the problem on the board and solves it herself and doesn't explain how to do it. Does not explain at all!

Easy class, easy teacher. She primarily uses power points. As long as you pay attention in class you'll do fine. She has short quizzes that really help, especially for finals.
She's a really nice lady but you really can't understand her. She is a really easy grader though and the projects help boost your grade if you aren't doing well.
Professor Alexandru is a great teacher. She is passionate about her work, and really cares for her students. She explains concepts clearly, easy to understand, and extremely helpful. I strongly recommend her as a professor, you will not regret it.
Easiest A+ i have ever received. she'll practically give you the answers for test if you ask for help, even the final. got a 100 on a test that still had errors on it. re tests are also possible. has a strong accent though. both bose and bay see cally

She is an awesome teacher if you're struggling in math! I'm really bad at it yet she helps me understand it so well that I have an A- in there! I you really need to pass a class I recommend taking her, you'll learn a lot!
Still have no idea how to do statistics... No idea what is going on or what she's saying. The lowest grade she gives is a B- and there are a lot of group projects. I once had a test grade up 67% that somehow rounded up to a 87%. She's really sweet and really genuinely adores all her students.

This class was super easy. I just showed up for class and studied the material right before each test and got an A. I'm pretty good at math so it wasn't too bad, but if you don't understand the material she is very helpful and basically lets you redo problems you get wrong on the test for credit. She's also fairly nice. Definitely take this class.
Professor Alexandru is one of my favorite teachers at Quinnipiac. She genuinely cares about and respects her students. She wants to see all of her students succeed, and she is always available to help you if you don't understand the topicsprojects. 6 projects are assigned and if you do them you will better understand the material for exams!
Prof. was hard to understand, and not only because of her strong accent. Lectures didn't make much sense at all. I had to teach myself everything from either the book or youtube videos. I still can't say I know much of anything about statistics. She really is a genuinely caring professor, and gives multiple chances for retakes.
Professor Alexandru was ok. If you want just an average professor, take her. Good luck if you want to understand anything though; her accent is so thick that its near impossible to follow along with the material. She is such an easy grader though, and as long as you put some effort in, you will get an A.
Can never understand what she is saying, she has such a strong accent. I didn't learn anything in this class because it was so confusing and I am generally a very strong math student. Even when I didn't know anything I still got 90's on the tests because she curves grades. Easy A on assignments but I didn't learn anything.

At the start of the semester, everything in the class is easy (most of it I had learned in high school) so her inability to teach is no problem, but as the course gets harder you are left lost. Good thing she grades on a huge curve (get 2 questions out of 12 right and get an 85%). Never opened the book or paid attention and got an A.
Overall she's a very easy teacher. She puts everything online so you can miss class and still pass. Curves every test and never gives below a B. Grade consists of group projects and tests. Super nice too but tough to understand/learn from.

AWFUL! After QU had to move online, we NEVER met on Zoom ONCE! Bought the textbook for class, NEVER used it once! Try emailing her, you don't understand what she is saying. Ask for questions on group projects? Tells you it is wrong but doesn't explain why it's wrong. Please try to avoid her class if at all possible
Run away. I received an A but I have no idea how to actually do statistics. She acts all sweet in the beginning, like she cares but she really just cares about not getting fired. She is a terrible teacher, she doesn't actually teach. She expects you to learn off ppt. Yelled at us for not doing her calculations when she made simple addition mistakes
Professor Alexandru is a very sweet woman. However, she is not the best at teaching statistics. I barely learned anything in this class and anything I did I had to teach myself. Lots of group projects, not very accessible outside of class, and her directions are extremely unclear. Didn't even need the textbook she told us to buy. Super stressful.
THE WORST! Even though I will get an A in this class, this is the worst experience I have ever had with a professor at QU. She is a very smart woman but she does not know how to teach. I have had to teach myself the entire course and pull my hair out doing assignments that have unclear directions. You will get a good grade but be frustrated!
Professor Alexandru is very caring professor. Definitely recommend you taking her for your stats class. I can assure you that you will pass just ask for help.
Professor Alexandru would rather sit behind a computer screen and give poorly written and hard to follow presentations and readings to teach than give guided lessons to her students. She assigns too much work and her class is hard to follow, says she has been teaching the same course for 15 years but that is impossible due to changes with covid.
Prof means well, and she's good about letting you out early, but even if you go to class you will learn NOTHING. her teaching and slideshows are unclear and make zero sense. she lets you take tests from home with no lockdown browser, but you don't know anything so theyre hard. no tutor at QU for her class. you'll have to teach yourself everything
worst professor I've had this semester. she gave no lenience with anything and as a fys teacher, she gave WAY too many reading assignments and expected to write research and argument papers every week. On top of all of this she YELLED at me and other people in the class for not doing our assigned paper which she gave the wrong due date for.
She'll give you an A every time, but her assignments never make sense and what she wants from her students isn't clear. Her class was very stressful because the work made no sense and she wasn't clear in her lectures, but you always get good grades. If she is your professor I would change classes, a nice woman but not a good teacher.
Professor Alexandru means well but she is not a good professor. If you have never taken a statistics class this class will be very difficult. Her lectures are unclear and it is hard to understand what she is teaching. Only positive is that all exams are outside of class and replace the class period and not on lockdown browser.
God please avoid this prof as much as you can. I know she means well and it is not her fault she has an accent and is hard to understand, but she is so unaccessible outside of class. I once emailed her 5 times in one week and never got a response. Thus class is honestly terrible.
This was the worst class I had ever taken. She makes you retake the test if you take less than 40 minutes even though its 10 questions all on chegg. She means well but she will give you so much anxiety because you can never understand her. So unclear and inaccessible outside of class.
Exams are so easy and all the answers are online but still a nightmare. Will revoke a test if you finish in under an hour. Put three of my exams in as 0 instead of 100 and never answered a single email about it until two hours before grades were finalized.
She is AWFUL. You can not understand a word she is saying and you're probably not gonna learn a thing. If you talk to her a little outside of class tho she will be an easier grader. Doesnt use lockdown and answers to everything are on chegg. You will pass but just not learn one thing.
Only reason I didn't put awful is because she's a nice lady and wants you to pass, but my god she's a horrible professor. Learned NOTHING and the class felt like a huge waste of my time. You cannot understand anything she is saying. Taught myself everything. You'll most likely pass but the class will feel useless.
Professor Alexandru has been a delightful teacher to have. There are not many individuals like her in Academia, and the caring kindness she exuberates consistently is a refreshing sight within this environment. She may be more difficult for less independent learners, but she is more than willing to provide her insightful expertise to those who ask.

she's very difficult to understand and the content makes no sense even though I took stats in high school and basically just learned the same things over again. she wants us to succeed so like we never get below an 80 for anything. let's us out of class very early and very often. it's just nothing makes sense overall.
DO NOT TAKE. Sweet women but cannot teach. Learned absolutely nothing and felt the class was pointless. There are lots of group projects where she gives no instructions and poor feedback. Class is confusing and over-complicated for no reason.

This class was a whirlwind. If you know anything about statistics you might do ok but the material is super dense and although Prof. Alexandru is very sweet and understanding, her teaching style is confusing. Very lecture-heavy, but you will pass the class if you just do the work to the best of your abilities. Overall wouldn't recommend it.
If you can, avoid her please. You need to teach the material yourself and even if you took Stats in HS, that knowledge won't help you. It seems easy, but it is hard.
Prof Alexandru is honestly so sweet but avoid taking her if u can. She has a rly thick accent that makes it hard to understand, and with the way she explains concepts in class it's pretty hard to follow along. U have group projects due per unit which can get pretty stressful if ur not good at stats. Rly don't recommend unless u know what ur doing.

I've never taken a Stats class before, but shoutout Chegg. Professor is super hard to understand, but so nice. Tests are on computer, she doesn't walk around, and chegg will give you everything you need to pass. She is better than the other math stats professor. You have to show work on the exam, but chegg shows it to you.
She was the sweetest person ever but I could not understand what she said ever. All the tests were online and Chegg was my best friend. Made us work in groups to do group projects which was annoying but not too bad
