Awsome teacher. Is so clear when he teaches you math if math isnt your best subject definatly take his class.

He's very helpful and is very clear. He helps you understand and is a great techer. I suggest for anyone to take his course if they want to learn.

Excellent teacher! Take him if you have math anxiety. He makes sure you understand how to get the basics so you will succeed in higher math. I will take any math class he teaches.

he's tight

in your face type of class... very involved, not at all boring (like some instructors) good notes.. lets you use notes/hw on quizes. DO YOUR HW and its almost guaranteed a good grade. 70% on final was an "A"!!!! i took the sumer class.

Just awesome. You can not only understand him when he's speaking, you can understand his math techniques, which are easier than the book! Plus, you get free financial planning when he digresses!

I hated him! Found him aggressive then I realized why he is loved: HE IS AMAZINGING! He will delay tests 2 your advantage out of the blue, gives pre-tests, tests on what he teaches, just an UTTERLY great man & his personality? HE IS UNIQUE & FUNNY! Don't be fooled the 1st two weeks. Stay in the class. You will see what I mean! & He has a cute butt!

No nonsense teaching. Tells you exactly how to do each problem. Homework collected weekly and wasn't alot. Allows plenty of time on quizes and tests. No accent. Funny at times. Rants a little. Good teacher.

very good teacher. I would not take anyone else. I hated math before I took him but now understand it and it makes sense. You'll have a quiz each class but they are easy because he explains and teaches so well. Homework is alot but it will help you understand the stuff. Take him. I highly recommend him, plus he is funny.

I really enjoyed studying in his class. His instruction is clear, interesting, and fun. I think he is a very nice teacher who cares his students a lot. His homework and tests are not difficult at all, and he answers all kinds of questions even thought they are easy. I recomend to take his class if you have a Math anxiety.

To all you people who hate Mr. B, you forget that it is a MATH class, and you have to put the TIME in to get a good grade. This guy speaks perfect english so there won't be a problem understanding, you just have to show up and DO the homework and you will be fine. I am in no way good at math and pulled a B, so it's not impossible just TRY!

Great teacher. Goes a little fast but he helps with all of the math shortcuts and tips that he gives + he makes sure that all of his students understand the concept clearly. Speaks loud and clear. Pull your own weight(show up and do the hw)and if you do that you will pass the class! Also funny and lightens the mood with his humor. Highly recommend.

I took Mr. B for Math 50,70 and 102. I was upset to find out he didn't teach statistics. Literally, UPSET. I love him and his teaching style. He's to the point and no fuss. He teaches easy shortcuts. He does have some raw humor but being over 30, I found it to be very funny. Best teacher I've EVER had!

I think that he talks to much about other things and not math

This man took me, a complete math idiot, from not understanding a thing to an "A". As far as I am concerned, there is none better. As the other comments I see say, just do your homework, show up to class, and ask questions. The learning center helps as well.

I TOOK HIM FOR MATH 70 & MATH 102, HE'S A GREAT MATH TEACHER, BECAUSE HE TAKES THE TIME TO HELP YOU & SHOW YOU EASY WAYS TO GET PROBLEMS DONE. Mr. B rocks! The first couple of weeks are difficult, but I think that is to weed out those who are not serious about math. Goes out of his way to teach shortcuts, and his grading policy is favorable. If you need to take math, choose this instructor.

Excellent teacher, I actually now like math due to Mr. B. He cares about his students, easy going, funny, and very flexible, will let you retake quizes/tests. Highly recommended!! Too bad he does not teach Math 60, but i'll take him again for Math 70.

i LEARNED SO MUCH iN THiS CLASS

I had Mr. Bellavia in HS and so I took him again in college. He is very helpful. He'll tell you step by step how to solve a problem. He gives homework every week but they help a lot during the tests! He goes over the problems until everyone gets it. I highly recommend him.

Very fun class. It was very clear that he not only knew the material, but understood everything before hand. Manages to drive the lesson in (if you do the homework) and still make the class fun, with a little bit of goofing off.

Don't go to his class hungry! He loves Bex and talks about it all the time. Great teacher, learned a lot. Was willing to work with you. Due to family problems I was not able to complete, if he was teaching this math again would take him. Goes over everything until you understand it. Great teacher, really loves math.

he made math simple. most of the class he just chit chats but he makes math so easy you dont really need the whole time to focus specifically on math. he also taught me a lot about life. his life advice is extremely useful and i got allot out of this class, he is by far thee BEST teacher i have ever had!

Mr. B an awsome teacher I really hated and sucked at math before and now I like it and I passed his class with an A. If he talks down to you or doesn't help it's because you probably missed alot of class or you were screwing around instead of listening. You have to take his class seriously anf he will help you. Wish I could take him for math 60.

Mr. B was an amazing teacher who KNOWS HOW TO TEACH! He has a great personality and is very patient with students, his tests are easy if you study. A lot of homework from the book, but it's worth it! I felt very comfortable coming to him for help and would love to take him for future classes. GET HIM!!! =]

I took his Math 50 class over Summer 2011. He was an awesome teacher. He has his own way of teaching us the math which was more clearer.We talked about a whole lot of different topics as a class to get away from the math. I will take all his math classes! Best math teacher

If you learn from going slow do not take his class. He does go fast, but this is because he has little time to cover a lot of material. He is always willing to help out and will stop his class just to do so. I passed with a B and wish he taught even higher level classes.

Took Math 50 in Summer with Professor Bellavia. Even though it was a fast paced class 8wks instead of 16wks he manages to make Math fun and I was extremely Math phobic. Show up for class take the quiz ,do homework, study for the test you should be fine. He is a great teacher and because he made math easy to learn I got my First "A"ever in Math.

great teacher. he breaks it down to everyday usage rather than technical formulas. cant wait till spring to have him for math 70

Bellavia is a great math teacher, he is very engaging and relates math to the world. My only advice, do not take his class if you need to go slow, he usually goes pretty fast but will answer all the questions you ask :)

AWESOME TEACHER. Out of all the teachers, he's definitely been my favorite teacher at AVC. He answers all of your questions, he explains everything clearly, he genuinely cares about everyone passing and he does tutoring. He also has a great sense of humor and tells funny stories. Definitely recommend him.

Mr.B is amazing! He has all the short cuts that make everything so much easier to understand and he will answer all the Q's you have until you get it.I would recommend taking him!!

I took Mr.B for intercession 2012 for math 70 I couldn't have choose a better teacher. he is very helpful he has a great sense of humor and always keeps the class fun. I did not understand math one bit before I took his class and surprisingly I passed the class with an A..... I now plan to take him for 102 summer 2013

Honestly. THE best teacher I ever had. He truly cares for his students and making sure you understand. He scared me away at first because he went so fast but then I got used to his teaching method and I understand mostly if not everything! DO THE HOMEWORK! Very crucial to your grade. If you do, You will notice that the test ARE some HW questions.

This professor was very helpful. I went into this class hating math and came out loving it because i finally found someone that could make it stick with me. He is a fun teacher, but is down to business when it comes to teaching. He is funny. i never missed his classes because there wasn't one class that was boring. Awesome Teacher!!

Do you want an easy trip through your math education, or do you want to learn the subject. If you want an easy A Mr. Bellavia is not for you, but if you really want to learn the subject, there is no better math teacher in the world. Mr. B assigns a lot of homework, and his tests are difficult, but if you put in the time, He'll get you there.

Often tells funny stories during class. As long as you pay attention and do the homework you will pass. Mr. B. seems in a rush to get to and from his other classes and is often late. Almost every time he set a date for a test it was pushed back because he was unprepared. Keep all of your work because he may forget to give you credit for it.

Great class took him for intersession and passed couldn't have done it with such a good grade if I didn't take his class. He really tries hard to have everyone understand the material plus motivates the class a lot. Do your homework, study, and don't miss a lot of class and you will pass.. No calculators for anything

I took mr. B's class for intercession, and even though it was only 5 weeks i learned so much every class. He is very funny and gives you the same respect you show towards him. He's very helpful if you have any questions and always gives you a chance to get a good grade its just up to you to put the effort in to it. I would definitely take him again

The best math teacher there. Cares about his students and their grades. Works all day everyday and doesn't complain. Will take all his time out of his day to help you. He won't let you fall behind.

This is the 2nd time I've taken him, took him during intercession this time. Very helpful, won't let you fall behind. You will not fall asleep in his class, he's hilarious. Usually gives students pep talks before finals!

Professor Bellavia is amazing! I'm horrible at math and he made it easy to understand. There are tests, but he's willing to go over whatever you're having trouble with before the test. The HW isn't easy but he's willing to walk you through it, and gives A LOT of examples and short cuts. I wish he taught every level of math, I highly recommend him!

Amazing professor. Always helpful, clear on the lectures. Does the practice chapter test which is very similar to the actual test with you. Answers any questions a person may have and tries to answer as clear as possible. Best teacher I've ever had.

Great Professor!! Answers any question you have on any homework assignment and test. its important that you attend lectures becasue then your missing the homework sections that hes going over. Reviews before every test, easy to pass as long as you do wats expected for you to do!! HW helps!!!

He is a great instructor. Lectures are clear and easy to understand. He explains math in a way that makes it easy and fun. Lots of homework. It is needed to practice the concepts and prepare you for the test. I highly recommend him.

I only put 4 of level of difficulty because he does make you work for it, but he is a wonderful teacher and knows what he is teaching. Falling behind? Don't stress it, he will help you. Hilarious guy, doesn't let you fall asleep in class because he makes it interesting. Even offers tutoring during or even after you finish his class.

I took Mr Bellavia during intercession and he was the best Math teacher I have ever had. He will go off topic every so often but it actually helps keep the class engaged. Because it was intercession you can not miss a day or you will be dropped as he will do 3 to 4 chapters a day sometimes more. All in all great professor.

I took him during summer so the class was fast. I was never good at math until I took him, he made everything easy and tells you exactly what will be on the quizzes and works out problems from the study guide so that you can study the steps, which are very similar to the test problems. He is the BEST, take him!!! And he is really nice and funny!

I recommend Mr. B to all of my friends that needs to take Math 65, 70, 102. He is smart, funny, cute, and genuinely happy. He works hard and is well respected. Definitely take him if you have a difficult time with math, he will not stop teaching until everyone understands before he moves along. HE IS A MUST TAKE FOR MATH!

Mr. B is really funny, casual, but still maintains a respectful relationship with students. He also works at the high school though so sometimes he's late to class by several minutes or so. I took him in the summer and everything was a blur, he goes through material quickly but thoroughly. He is very helpful and I recommend him to anyone.

Hes really a great profesor , I took him for 65 and 70 , he show how much he loves math, fun fact: if hes not in the mood when the class is just starting, after some problems math hes mood become happy haha , like his therapy is math

Mr. B is great im so glad i took his class he cares about his students an want u to pass .. ask questions he will answer eveeyone with out making you feel bad ive failed math twice until him go to class do the homework the homework is only practice for the test/ quizzes an u will pass if you dont pass u only have yourself to blame..

M B cares about his students, and one thing I really like was his clear syllabus, as we know when tests etc will be and homework due. He explains things well and is very willing to answer questions. He WANTS to answer and explain. Class is well planned out so you arent rushing thru the last and hardest chapters at end of semester

He's very reasonable on turning in late homework if your consistently turning in work. This was my first time taking an 8 week Math course and I passed the class with a C, he's a great teacher. Don't be afraid to ask any questions I sure didn't! I would definitely recommend him on taking 065, 070, and 102!

He is a great prof !!!! He tries his best to help and is very kind when answering questions. He really cares about his students. Do the homework because it is practice for the tests and quizzes.

Mr. B is such a great professor, this is my second time having him as a professor and lectures are easy to understand. He does give out bit of work but if you do the work and study you should have no problem passing this class. Only problem is he doesnt respond to emails so if you need something, ask him in class.

Mr. Bellavia is a math wizard. Although he goes a little fast when teaching the day's lesson, he always leaves room for questions. If someone didn't understand something, he'd go over it for them until it registered. He's a fair grader and a caring professor. No complaints at all.

He is amazing and cares about everyone, he answers questions and never makes you feel bad about anything. He does give homework but come on guys, it helps prepare for the tests and is necessary. Please take him if you do not like math, he will really help you out. Best math professor i've had, apart from the one that taught me how to count to 100.

Awesome proffesor, seems like a lot of homework but he gives plenty of time to complete everything, tries to be as helpful as possible during class hours, only had a few office hours throught the semester, is always up to date with the class grades, you'll pass as long as you do all of the homework, study for tests and quizzes!

He's very caring and helpful! He goes a really fast in lectures so if you don't really know basic algebra before like me (I didn't take trig and college algebra) then you might need to study more by yourself. But everything is doable and he'll help you if you ask questions. He gives homework but he also gives you A LOT of time to complete it.
