I took her for HESC 210 as well. She is the coolest prof around. She teaches, yet interacts with students at our level. I would take her for all my classes if I could. Tests are hard, but she makes them easy with her teaching.

YES!it is true she really does make you learn all what you need to know about Anatomy.The class went by fast so be ready to keep up with her b/c she kind of rushes in teaching some stuff.But make sure to ask any Q if U dont understand anything. Tough class...great teacher. A lot of math, which is my strength. Took it in summer school, so it was accelerated. Group project sucked. Got stuck with 2 lazy asses from computer science. I ended up doing the entire project by myself.

Very funny teacher, and loves to teach. Also, she is sympathetic and aware of students different learning styles. I learned stats from her. Super teacher!

Like a lot of other people I was hesitant to take a STATS class, but Prof. Barr definitely made everything clear and easy. If you attend class, and make a strong effort to learn you'll get at least a B. Attendance is required, & you must buy the manual. No text book though.

There is NO ONE like Michele that's for sure! She is dang hilarious first of all. She knows what she's talking about and she cares that you get it. Don't be fooled, she doesn't make the class easy, but she makes it challenging and fun-the way college level classes should be. In her words: "Easy-cheezy, lemon-squeezy!"

Michele Barr is a fantastic teacher! Her lecutures cover a great majority of what are on the tests but you definitely need to read the book and study off of your study guide. She is funny, incorporate experiences or stories to model the subject, and makes the class extremely fun to attend every day.

As far as teaching goes, Michele is AWESOME! Her class is difficult but not impossible. She gives you a study guide for each test and along with the study guide she gives you a crazy amount of notes. I studied my butt off and got an A.

Dr. Barr is one of the best professors have ever had. Her class is NOT easy, but she helps you along the way. The quizzes in the class are not normal quizzes, they are labeling who skeletal systems, etc. Her exams are actually really easy compared to the quizzes. STUDY HARD AND YOU WILL DO FINE. :)

Absolutely an amazing Professor. By far most engaging yet. She is very clear and makes in want to be interested in the subject day in and day out. However, this class is very difficult and plan to study weeks before. Tests are very specific so study hard. But overall, and AMAZING professor!

If you have to take 191A, make sure it's with her! She has to be the most influential professor I've ever had. Zero tolerance for tardiness. 1 free answer on tests. Gives you the notes so you're not stressing trying to write everything down. She made the class so fun & interesting! I read the book, studied a ton, and got 97%. Not easy but worth it!

In order to do good on tests, you really have to know the physiology very well so make sure you pay attention in her lectures. Read her notes, skim the textbook, and pay attention! This is my second time taking Dr. Barr. The class itself is difficult. 4 lecture tests (all between 45-65 ish questions) 4 lab tests (all fill in the blank) and attendance is mandatory. If you do really well on the lab tests, most likely, youll do fine in the class with passing grades on the lecture! Great professor and highly recommend!

Dr. Barr is AMAZING. I wouldn't advise simply memorizing the material, you have to understand the concepts to do well. Pay attention to her lectures and really study using her study guide and you can pass. She uses a lot of anecdotes and analogies to help you remember the material. Lab practicals are WAY easier in comparison to the lecture exam.

Three small group assignments, three non-cumulative exams. Go to class, put a little bit of effort in and its a pretty painless course for a math class.

Barr is an excellent teacher--her lectures are long but she makes everything easy to understand + she's hilarious! I only used the textbook for additional readings, otherwise I used her in-depth notes posted online. You're only graded on tests (4) so make sure you study--they're pretty tricky so put the time in!

Dr. Barr was super funny. I took her class in the morning and worried I'd be sleepy in there, but her jokes and enthusiasm for the topic keep you awake and interested the whole time. This is not a class to slack off in. All exams are based on the notes and a few extra readings, which are provided. There is a lot of material, but by studying each day, you will pass. Professor Barr is PHENOMENAL! She has her own manual that you NEED to have, it literally has everything you need. Her lectures are very similar to high school classrooms - you get time to work together and individually on examples from lectures and she walks you through them. Don't listen to 1.0 grader on Barr. She's a wonderfully eccentric professor that has a sense of humor that can bother you if you're very sensitive, provides her own cheap textbook that's very well written, willing to break down any tough lecture/concepts if you ask, her exams/quizzes are exactly what she goes over. She's the best person for stats.

the course material itself is difficult, but Barr is a great lecturer and is obviously passionate about what she teaches. but, she can be judgmental about questions asked in class. there are only a few exams in both lecture and lab, but the lecture exams are harder and impact your grade the most. a textbook is required but i got by without one.
