She tries to make jokes that aren't that funny but she really cares about her students. Her tests are straight from the notes, so if you study that you will get an A. Essays are required for gordon rule but is not difficult, if you have problems, ask her!

Awesome teacher, even if you hate history

Easy class, test are very straightforward. Learn alot.

Go to class and take notes, read over notes before test, and get an A. Dont need the textbook if you take good notes. Essays arent hard, she grades fairly and tries to joke w/ students. Loves her job.

Test are straight from her lectures. Writing assignment is also easy.

Watch Out! Some take her class too lightly, but with good notes and some studying anyone can get at least a B. DON'T HAVE TO OWN THE BOOK TO GET AN A!

She is a great teacher, and makes the class interesting. The writing assigments are simple and a breeze. She cares about the students and really knows her stuff. Best class ever! EASY A OR B for most students.

I took her for AMH2010 and 2020. She is the best professor I've ever had at UCF. She genuinely cares and is willing to help everyone better their grades. She will even proofread your essays. There is NO reason not to get an A in her class.

She knows her history very well. The tests are multiple choice...there are 4 of them. There are also 3 papers that are easy if you take the time to do them. Test are worth 50 pts. papers are worth 25. She doesnt do attendence but you neeed to go for notes

I've enjoyed the way she teaches the class she keeps it intresting pretty much all the time. She is willing to help her students and is very flexible and understanding. As long as you take good notes and study them you will at least pull a B.

Fairly easy class. She really knows her history and is very willing to help you if needed. Just make sure to keep up on Essay due dates. Tests are multiple choice & short answer. Attendence is not mandatory, but notes given during lectures are helpful.

You don't have to memorize dates, but you do have to write papers and she is willing to look over your paper. I received help on every paper and got 100. I'm not so smart and I hate to write. To pass this class you have to attend it.

I took her AMH 2010 and AMH 2020, and got A's in both. All you need to do is go to her class once a week and take notes. The small essays are easy to do, and her tests are like high school tests. Dont have to read the book or even buy it to get an A.

Loved this class! She makes history really interesting and entertaining. 95% of the stuff you need to know for the exam is in from the lecture notes. 3 papers in 2010, 4 in 2020 but they're easy, you just answer questions from the book in essay form. I highly recommend this class!

She was a great teacher. I loved her class, she teaches it as a story so its very easy to follow. If you study the night before you can get an A or B on her exams. Papers are really easy just follow normal english writing technique and you will be fine!

Prof Adams is great. After taking her class I have become a History minor. History is not something that can be totally encompassed in a textbook; insight and perspective are also required for the student to have a good understanding of it. I loved her class and I am taking her again next semester

Professor Adams is awesome at making history fun and entertaining. She tells things like a story and is consistent so notes are easy to take and make sense. Yes, there are a lot of notes, but with good notes, you'll ace the tests. I never made less than a B on a test. And the essays are easy!

Incredible teacher! Going to her class is like going to story time where you happen to be taking notes. Tests straight from the notes and are no trick Q's. No dates to memorize either! She makes history interesting and class flies by with her corky input and stories. Definitely recommend taking her!

She is a really nice lady and teaches history is a fun way. Her papers are very easy to get A's on just make sure that you use correct grammer. The tests are all multiple choice and she does grade A, A-. The only problem was that she really showed her personal political views in her lecture. That was someone annoying. Teachers should be objective.

Took her two semesters ago and then took another professor for amh2020 b/c couldn't fit her into my schedule. Yeah, that was a mistake. I totally recommend her. She was entertaining, the workload was great. Just gotta take notes every class and a couple essays throughout. I got an A. Take her.

She is always cracking jokes and trying to debunk myths in our history. Very knowledgeable. Her class is extremely entertaining. I hope I can get her for AMH 2020 next semester, too.

Adams is the best. Take her for any class you can get. She keeps it interesting and amusing and actually teaches you something without overloading you with too much. Just take notes in class, the test is straight from the notes.

It is important to go to class to get lecture notes which often provide test questions. Module notes online are helpful if you don't make it to class though. Go to class on days before the test to get specifics regarding what the questions will be about. Adams is a fair teacher & theres a few projects throughout the semester but nothing too hard.

Holly crap, you couldn’t ask for a better teacher. Just take her over the summer, pay attention to the NOTES and write 3 very easy papers, I got a 100% on all three and I HATE writing. If you try you can't possibly do worse than a "B".

I HATE HISTORY....AND SHE MADE ME LOVE IT. I have NEVER learned more or payed attention more in a history class. She makes it soo interesting, but she gives huge tests that basically make up your grade so u really have to do well....but she is awesome, it just sucks that her tests are so long, but IT'S WORTH IT!

If you know that you can't wake up for her 730, then don't take it. It is way too easy and interesting of a class, but if you don't go then you will blow it. So, either use self discipline to get up and get the easy A, or skip out and take another class. You won't get an A if you don't go to class!

Great Professor, I never really enjoyed history before I took her. Makes it interesting and has a great sense of humor. As for the person below - she is not a liberal, but I would say a middle of the road Democrat. So she likes FDR does mean she deserves a bad rating.

GREAT teacher-- very interesting. I do like history, but, you don' t really have to like it in order to enjoy her class. Very easy to talk to and doesn't make you feel stupid. I had a bad experience with a prior history teacher (the one with the essay tests) at UCF. She brought back my interest in history! She is extremely helpful. She tells history like a story not just bullets on lecture notes. You should attend ever class because she has a lot of important information that is on the multiple choice tests. Take her!

Wow! If you hate history..you will learn to love it! I dont like history so I didnt go to class at first. After getting 2 D's on the 1st 2 exams I decided to go to class & read da modules (Didnt touch da book at all!).I made 2 A's on the last 2 exams and managed to get a B. I have her now for 2020 and know I am in for fun. Going to class = Easy A.

If you want a fair class in which you actually learn something, Professor Adams is perfect. I have had her for both American History classes and she is honestly an amazing teacher who is NOT out to get the students.

SHE IS WONDERFUL! Must write 3 essays (Gordon Rule) but she grades easy. Tests are easy if you study from notes and modules online. Bring computer for notes, you can copy hers exactly from board. My favorite GenEd professor. She makes the class go by really quickly with her unique sense of humor, funny accents, and drawings. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Make sure you show up to class, because a lot of the test material is based on the lectures. Essays were actually interesting. Sit towards the front of the class!

This professor is top-notch, but she is great at sending mixed messages. After leaving her lectures, you will feel confident that her class is an easy A,.. until you bomb your test because you thought it was going to be easy. I caught on to this and managed to salvage my grade. As "cool" as she is, treat her class like a life or death situation.

Overall, she's a good professor. She knows herself and gives interesting lectures. Just make sure you go to class every day and you won't have a problem receiving an A. I barely missed an A because I missed a few days and other students are Nazi's with sharing their notes

Highly Recommended. Great Teacher, Great Subject, uses powerpoint effectively. Make sure to attend class everyday and take notes, also do not procrastinate essays. 4 tests 3 essays nothing else. Her class fills up quick so make it a priority to add this class first!

Take this class. Grade is based off off 3 essays that are easy A's and 4 test with no cumulative final. Class is optional but I would recommend going bc her test are based on her lectures alone. I opened my textbook only once for this class and got a high B without too much effort. Go to class and pay attention and you will get a high grade.

"Four exams (55+55+55+55 = 220) Three writing assignments (60 points, 3 pages each)? Grades grammar. One writing assignment came from book otherwise book was not used. Class is not boring and she is funny at times.

Online class is great! I worked fulltime and took 2 summer classes (incl this 1). She gives you enough time to plan, study, and submit assignments. Definitely recommend! She has a good sense of humor.

Prof Adams is an amazing History teacher. She loves the subject and is willing to help you after class if you need clarification. She reviews the tests the lecture before and will give additional reviews in her office. She tells you everything you need to know for tests. Awesome!!! There are 4 tests and 4 essays although she changes them so they are not real essays, very easy to complete. Did not open the textbook once. She tells history like a story; she makes it really interesting! I wish she taught AMH 2010! I LOVE HER! :) HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Took it online summer C, assignments/exams are spread out. 2 essays and 3 short response assignments and 3 exams, no final. Teacher responds timely to emails.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Professor Adams!! She is the only teacher to ever make me love history, let alone remember the facts and details!! I enjoy going to class. She is really funny, there is not much extra work required. Just go to class and listen to her lectures, which are super entertaining. She tells history like it's a story and it all makes sense!

She makes class, very interesting so attend. She tells you the fun stories of history. He tests can be tricky and she is a hard paper grader. If you pay attention and use the materials you will do fine. I would certainly take her again, and do recommend her.

She is a good professor. Her class is not boring, and she is funny and engaging. Self explanatory class: Four exams. Three essays. She emails the class a review before each exam. I got a B in her class but if I really applied myself more I would have easily attained an A. Use the book and study the review before the test. Very self explanatory.

Professor Adams is the most interesting history professor at UCF. She makes class entertaining with jokes and stories. Exams are easy and gives a study guide before each test. You have to write 1 formal essay and 2 informal writing assignments. I would highly recommend taking this class with her!

Easily my favorite professor at UCF so far. I didn't buy the textbook but I went to each class, listened and took notes. Do the study guide and review it for tests. The writing assignments were straight-forward and she graded them fairly. She made history enjoyable and funny.

Great professor! Makes class SUPER interesting. She teaches class as if she's telling a story, as if she was there for all the historical events being explained. Go to class and take GOOD notes, because exams are based solely on the notes. Attend class, study your notes before exam, and you'll be good. HIGHLY recommend!

She has 4 exams 3 papers which are super easy if you follow directions. The hardest one was the first formal essay. Come to class everyday and your going to get the grade you want. She is sooo funny. She teaches the class as if it was a story. As well, she always tell funny jokes and class passes by fast because it is so interesting.

Unlike another course I took online this semester, Professor Adams is outstanding. Her module comments are interesting and informative, and the work she requires doesn't even seem like work for a history lover like me.

She makes everything very easy, but she is very political. She states her opinion. The tests are very straight forward. Go to class and take good notes and you'll do great. The text book is not needed.

The most realest, down to earth professor at UCF. 3 essays given; two are formal and one informal but not too hard. Take good notes and you should pass with an A.

Great teacher. She is a little hard on the essays but by hard i mean it is hard to get an A on the essays. to get a B or C is takes no real struggle, just doing the assignment not last minute. Very clinical person in general but definitely loves her job (she will never say it though).

Professor Adams remind me of one of those rock-n-roll moms. Her teaching style is mostly auditory, which means she does not use any PPT. She writes the main points she is going to discuss in class on the board, but that is about it. Record your lectures if needed but she repeats so you have enough time to write down what she says;making history fun

She is a really cool teacher, & works well w/ the disability students. Only has 4 tests and 3 essays. I recommend her if you can handle a auditory lecture. Don't take her class if you need to see and hear the lecture. Don't think about skipping class unless a friend can give you notes. Other than that, she's a really good teacher.

Her lectures are entertaining, and I will remember the information I've learned in this class even after I'm done with it. If you go to class, listen, and take notes, you won't need to buy the book. Going to lectures is optional, however, most of material on tests is from what she covers in her lectures. I did better on tests when I went to class than when I solely used the text to study. She won't change your grade, you earn it.

I HATE history and I took this class thinking it would be an easy A if you work hard for it but it is NOT. She is very helpful but her tests so confusing and very tricky. To do well you need to study every single word that comes out of her mouth otherwise you miss the little details she tests on. DONT take if you hate history or you want an A..

I took her online class. We wrote 5 essays, the last being the longest at 6 pages minimum. Her rubric for what she wants written is very easy to follow, never got less than a 100. The tests are easy if you read the book or if you use quizlet/look up answers. She seems like a cool lady, I almost regret not taking her class online.

I enjoyed Prof. Adams class. She makes history fun. There are NO online notes though so you absoluty HAVE to go to class!! Whatever she says in class is on the exam. The textbook is not needed but is very helpful to clear up anything missed in the lectures. Do all of the ch intro's on webcourses and the exam will be no problem.

Really a great professor. She's very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the course material. She doesn't put that great of notes online so going to class is important but her lectures are easy to listen to and her humor to keep you interested. Only 3 tests and 3 papers, both tests and essays easy if you went to the lectures.

Her lectures are humorous and won't make you feel bored at all. She doesn't take attendance but the tests are basically what she talks about in class so if you don't go it will be hard to pass them. I Barely used the book, I wish I would've just photo copied the pages I actually used. But I was able to re-sell it so it was fine.

She's so hilarious, I love her lectures. Her final grade is really based on tests which sucks for me but that's not her fault. I love her and I'd love to take her again if I have the chance

Had a total of 3 assignments and 4 tests. Pay attention and take notes in lectures and study, notes were online too and tests were based off of those notes + handouts. Best professor I've had since starting UCF. Her lectures are amazing, and she relates a lot of stuff to current events. She's hilarious and knowledgeable. You should get to know her! Honestly just show up and you should pass. All she does in lectures. About 4 assignments and 4 tests. None are cumulative.

This was the best history class I have ever taken! 9am lecture but she was always so entertaining that it was easy to stay awake. As long as you go to lectures you don't really need to read the textbook. No powerpoints. She goes through everything you need to know for each test in class. 4 papers but the topics are very interesting to write about.

Very easy. I know NOTHING about history and I did not even buy the textbook for this class and still got an easy A. She grades the essays very easily in my opinion, I got 100% on all 4 of them. Definitely a very easy Gordon Writing class. I highly recommend this professor, I put in minimal effort for a high A.

Definitely the most helpful professor. I took her online for AMH 2020 and she basically summarized the textbook chapters in the corresponding webcourses modules and it made learning about American History fun because she included her own opinions and funny comments in there to make understanding some of the more complicated chapters, fun!!

I absolutely hate history, but actually enjoyed Professor Adam's class. The exams are somewhat difficult but all the questions come from her lectures so if you study you'll do fine. She's very approachable and likes to joke around which makes the lectures less boring. The essays aren't bad if you don't procrastinate.

Papers are opinion based papers. So you really dont have to read the textbook just write what you feel. Tests are 50 questions 75 minutes. tip for test: have a friend, a google doc, and quizlet.

She's a real gem. The class isn't easy. You have to go to her lectures, take notes and maybe even read her modules. This should be expected since this is a college course. With that being said, this class isn't hard. We only had 3 papers- all opinion based, and all of the tests were straight forward and were based off of exactly what she lectured.

She grades 4 tests and 3 essays. Essays are opinion based and she is a pretty easy grader. Her tests are based completely off of her lectures, so if you miss a class you should go in during her office hours and see what she talked about. She was always really nice to me anytime I went to her office, and was really helpful.

Professor Adams doesn't give busy work and her exams are pretty easy, just make sure you take any notes needed prior to the exam opening up (she closes all modules relating to the exam content). Also, download Grammarly or something similar because she is quite nitpicky when it comes to that in essays. Besides that, it was an easy A

Great teacher, can be a little tough as it is an online TBA class, so most of the responsibility falls on you and your motivation to keep up with the class. Glad I took Michelle over the others in the department!

I took her over the summer and the class was extremely straightforward. 3 essays and 3 (or four?) exams. It really wasn't hard at all, the book is not needed. It was an easy A as long as you don't slack on the essays/test.

I love listening to her talk about history! Her lectures are very engaging! Make sure to take notes and read through them before the exams and you will be just fine. The only reason why my grade was so low was that there are only three papers and four exams. I had one really bad exam which brought my grade down a lot.

I LOVED prof. Adams! She is such a great teacher and really ensures you know all the material. She gives you everything you need to know for the exams in the lectures and then publishes the notes she used to teach in the Webcourse modules. The exams are easy, all multiple choice and she's such an easy grader with the essays, which are super easy.

Professor Adams is a really nice person who teaches in a simple, old-fashioned style. She gives great lectures then tests you on those lectures. There are also some small 3 page essays thrown in as well. If it weren't for some left-leaning political bias then she would be a 5/5.

Professor Adams is an amazing lecturer, she somehow made a ton of history concepts very entertaining. I will say that there are very few tests and assignments to rely on for the grade, but as long as you attend class, listen, and take notes, you'll be successful. The tests never have anything that she doesn't talk about, so attend class!

Professor Adams does a great job in regard to her lectures. What is stated is likely to be on the tests with no random or unfair questions being present. Four multiple choice/fill in the blank tests in addition to four easy writing assignments. She's not a tough grader so as long as you can write decent paragraphs, you'll pass.
