Maybe because it was a summer class she was nicer, but she is the nicest teacher i have had! Helped me a lot. She paid attention to our speeches and helped us afterwards! overall i liked the class

Honestly, I thought she was tough. Yet, I realized that although tough, she got her point accross: "Do your work and if you're confused, see me". Not that difficult, but she was strict. Grading was on point. I didn't have a problem with her teaching/grading style.

Had her for speech fundamentals and i thought she was awesome. Tough grader-- you have to make an effort in each and every assignment to do well but it's not that difficult. I thought her activities to help with nervousness were extremely effective. I didn't think she was rude at all, she just doesn't tolerate nonsense.

LOVED THIS CLASS!! I am an alright public speaker, but this class made me LOVE IT! Her grading is hard, but it's what you take out of the class that's most important. She actually prepares you, which to me is more important than an A+. All of the work is self explanitory. Just show up, do your speeches and homework and take notes. Spectacular lady!

Speech Fundamentals. In order to do well in her class, you have to listen to every word she says, because she anticipates everything done to her rigid expectations. However, just listening to her is a challenge because she speaks at 500 MPH. Makes my head explode sometimes. All for a 101 course. Still, it could be much worse. I'd recommend her.

Has to be the best educator in the Morris county college. Hard but very complete with the subject matter, always willing to help and makes the class interesting and gives the class all the opportunities to learn and succeed in public speaking. In her syllabus it says "students who complete all work get a c... to get an A you must go above and beyond." she is preparing you for a real college course at a real school. It's a lot of work but you can get an A and have a good time

Great professor. People who say otherwise are lazy and not willing to work. She's tough with grading but if you follow her guidelines you'll get an A. However, the 3 speeches you give in class are equal to the final exam. What's the point of taking a public speaking class if you're going to be graded the same for a test as your speeches?

Professor Altieri is awesome! I love the material in class and she is very outgoing. Lots of group discussions. Her deadlines never change and she doesn't accept late work but I never had a problem with any of the work. Tests are very fair too. Loved this class!

I would recommend this class with Prof. Altieri. She knows the material and gives you everything you need to know in order to become a great public speaker. It isn't an easy class, you have to do your work and stick to deadlines, however, if you do everything she asks of you, you'll be in good shape.

As long as you follow her directions, there is no way you can get a bad grade. She really gets the class involved and makes it A LOT of fun. Her quizzes are easy and she gives a few extra credit opportunities. She's very easy going and fun and realizes that everyone is apprehensive about public speaking, but she helps you through it. One of my favorite professors at CCM. if you go to class everyday, pay attention and follow her guidelines you will without a doubt get an A or B. she makes the class interesting and gets everyone comfortable with each other. her teaching methods are very clear and helpful as well. (fyi take it in the summer it goes by fast and it's easier)

People complain about her a lot because she pushes you to do work and be respectful, when all teachers should be like this. I truly enjoyed her class because you actually have to put in the effort and your effort is reflected in your grade. Professor Altieri created an environment that promoted friendly and professional atmosphere to learn about speaking. Professor Altieri was probably my favorite professor this semester. She seems hard at first, but she walks us through each and every step. Also, she is very flexible with her time in helping people proofread their work. I truly enjoyed this class. I learned a lot more than I thought I would have. I have taken many online classes and have always had a poor experience due to teachers not grading course work or participating in forum posts. Professor Altieri however I had a very positive experience with. She always responded to our forum posts and gave her input, which was helpful.

I had her for speech. She is an amazing professor. She let us pick our own speech topics and gave us plenty of time to write them. If you do the work, this class is an easy A. You have to work on presenting in front of the class. That's the only hard part. Also gives like 3 quizzes the semester. Amazing professor!!!

Awesome professor. I was dreading this class. Learned a lot, I am defiantly a better speaker now. Ignore reviews that she is rude. Shes extremely helpful and accommodating. Hands down one of the best professors I had the whole time I have been at CCM! The material isn't so dull to read and she makes it fun to top it off.

At first I was nervous because I didn't like public speaking. But her approach to this course made things so much easier to do. I found this class a lot more interesting than expected. The conversation boards were interesting to discuss topics with others and the textbook was very good for the course. Professor was timely about providing responses to work.

Took her class for Speech Fundamentals. She was an awesome professor. She is very CLEAR on what she wants. There are 2 Tests... 3 Speeches and a Final exam. All 3 Speeches were easy! You do the work, and you most likely will get an A. The tests were easymoderate and the final exam was easy. I would definitely take her again. Textbook used once

Interpersonal communication was honestly one of the best classes I've taken at CCM. I am someone that really enjoys class discussions, and this class had a large emphasis on that. Overall it was a pretty good class. There are a lot of reading and homework, but nothing too difficult. I just wish she was a little more flexible with due dates. The tests are hard and seem not to have questions related to the textbook, but it's not too bad. She also seems like a really cool person, and is always willing to help.

I am deathly afraid of public speaking but if you follow her criteria and listen to her suggestions then you'll get an A in the class. She is funny and makes lecture more interesting. The participation activities actually really help! She is so nice and approachable and gives great feedback for your questions. I highly recommend!

I'm not one to go up and give speeches, but Professor Altieri was the best professor I could ever ask for. She has activities for the class so we can feel more comfortable speaking to an audience, and she makes every speech seem like so much fun. I was actually pretty upset when the class was over.

Great Professor, great class. Speeches are essential in order to pass the class; therefore, make sure to do the workshops correctly so you can feel confortable with your classmates. Be aware of the vocabulary for the persuasive speech, and prepare your speeches on time!!!

Prof was very helpful & made sure to work up your confidence for your speeches. I really enjoyed the classes and learned so much important stuff. It would be smart to start on your outlines right away and follow the guidelines given if you are serious about getting an A. However, if you put in decent effort, you will find this class easy.

Super nice and caring professor! The class is really easy if you take it with her. You read the entire text book, but it's nothing hard. There is also a chapter summary for each chapter but that is really easy too. Other than that there's not really any homework that's difficult. The class and topics are interesting and the class convos are great

I have taken Professor Altieri several times and she had easily become my favorite professor at CCM. Her lectures are amazing and honestly I miss them at my new school! So I personally enjoy public speaking, so this class was a little easier for me (take that into mind when reading). She is a very good professor and if you do the work, you'll get a good grade. If you aren't a good speaker, it could be hard, but that's any speech class. She allows you to have fun in class which is a plus.

Prof Altieri is 1/2 of the best professors I have ever had at CCM. She is so willing to work with you and do whatever she can to help you succeed. Along with that, her classes are fun and interactive and she taught everything we learned about in a way that made it interesting. If you have to take a COM course and she is available, dont think twice.

Professor Altieri provides a good mix between lectures and speeches with a lot of free points from relatively simple homework. Outside of speech writing, homework takes only an hour or two to complete. Speech prep can be ASAP'd for Remote courses using the tool SpeakFlow. Gets an A- on speeches due to low eye contact points taken off.

An incredibly sweet professor! Her assignments weren't super hard and directions were always clear. She always gave us little breaks during class and was very patient and accommodating. I had a very nice time in the class and I would 100% take a course with her as prof again. The class was on Zoom, but I think she'd be exactly the same in person.

Shes an amazing professor!! I got a B+ in the class and it was an early 7 weeks so i had to do a lot of work in a short amount of time. As long as you keep up with the dates and speeches you will do great!

I took the early 7 week class so the workload was pretty intense with tight deadlines. Due to the expedited schedule the time in class was dominated by students giving speeches, but the professor provided plenty of resources and was enthusiastic and thorough during her limited time to give lectures. Excellent experience overall!

Professor Altieri was amazing. She is very lenient and understands other peoples lives. I took a 7 week class and it was very fast. You write a speech outline, then give a speech, then move to the next one. I was nervous for this class and i ended up loving it and was sad when it ended.

I've taken her for 90% of my comm classes. She is the most involved Prof here. I have taken her online and in person classes and her online ones are 100% easier. She is the sweetest person ever. HW is not a lot depending on how you look at it. Took me 10 mins every time. I would definitely try though, she takes final papers seriously.

Prof Altieri is great. Super kind and helpful. She takes notes on all of the details and requirements for each speech and posts them on blackboard. So, if you miss a class its super easy to catch up.
