I HATE speaking in front of people but she made it really easy and relaxing! Also, my brother has a really hard time speaking in front of others and he took her class and she told him he could do his speeches in front of just her! I thought that was way cool of her! TAKE HER CLASS!!!!! 8o)

Okay, listen. Mikki is hilarious. She loves star wars, Dane Cook, and other kinda trendy things. For our gender comm class, we watched family guy, sports night, king kong, taming of the shrew. How redunkulous....yet it was a welcome sigh of relief to know you can go into class and not have to have anything prepared

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME! Miki is great. She is so helpful and understanding of people's fear of speaking in public. As long as you try you will get a good grade. Don't say um a lot because once you start to say too many she starts counting them. Highly reccomended, I would DEFINITELY take her again.

She is a very good teacher. She makes you feel comfortable doing speeches. You feel at ease in her class. She's gives you the same sheet she grades you with for the speech. All you have to do is follow what's on the sheet and you get an A. You can't miss any classes though, if you miss even a few, you're grade is greatly affected.

She is very nice and easy to talk to. Her rules made sence and her class was easy but she is very unorganized and cancels class alot even on speech days, I would still reccomend her just make sure it is your last class so you won't be mad when it's cancelled.

She is so gosh darn nice, she gave me a good grade on a paper I didn't actually turn in (long story). She does cancel class frequently—I think 6 times last semester— because her little boy was in the hospital several times. You don't use the textbook much in class, but read the first six chapters for the final, because she asks about *everything.*

It is hard to teach someone how to communicate better and she pulls it off. I learned more than I thought I would.

She was a great teacher. Her class was easy. The best part about the speech is that she is not staring at you while you are giving it. she glances and then glances away. I just took her final today and it was easy. Recommended. This semester she canceled class 2 times. it wasnt that bad.

At the begining I thought she was going to be hard and not welling to help! I was wrong, she is very helpful and I am happy that I took her class. She is understanding and she allows exchanges of speech days with other class mates. I didnt like that we had to do a lecture of a chapter with a group, but other then that, it was fun!

I would definitely recommend taking her. I'm shy and its hard to go up and do speeches but she made it so much easier. I recommend her to everyone, especially Gender communications. There was only one group presentation and journals. I really enjoyed the class and it was a take home final.

Took the online class. It wasn't bad, the assignments were easy and we only had to go to campus for three speeches. The only time I used the book was for a group chapter presentation and the final. She knows what she's doing but she has a lot of other classes, so sometimes she needs reminding of stuff. The final was ridiculous and took forever!

Very easy class. I hate speeches but she is an extremely easy grader. I didn't miss a point all semester. You will get a 100 if you just keep your speeches within the required time, occassionally look up, and don't say umm.

This class was very easy.Just follow the rubric that she gives you and you will get A's on everything. The only hard thing was the final. but memorize the study guide and you will be fine...trust me :)

Take this class online. I did over the summer and I was the easiest course I have ever taking. I was completely unprepared for the speech and still got a B on it. I feel guilty the course had so little work. LOL.

She was a really great teacher! I took her online and she was very easy. All you really had 2 do was show up MANDATORY for the speeches. She was a very easy grader and overall a great teacher.I would highly recommend her for a speech techer.

Mikki was fabulous, easy-going, and very helpful. When she has the optional day that you can wander in for her to check your outline, do it. Look for her to dock you on something, if you present a good argument, she'll bump your grade up. Follow her format, and you're a guaranteed A. The tests are based on the book so keep track of vocab. I liked.

Micky is an amazing teacher. She is very clear of what she expects from you. I am appalled of what others say about her being a snob. It wouldn't surprise me that it's just lazy students. She is the best. Take her, follow her rubric and attend class, and you'll get an easy A. Best Teacher.

This teacher is really helpful and her class was a piece of cake. I took a hybrid speech class. It was once a week, so attendance was a must. She helped us prepare for speeches and was a very easy grader. She is understanding and laid back.

If you're going to take a speech class just take her. If you don't I can almost guarantee you will regret it. I've asked classmates about other speech teachers and i am beyond thankful I was not in their classes. Overall a fun and easy class. 3 speeches that are all pretty short and a very easy final exam, that's it.

Very straight forward. But you must follow her rubric exactly. Don't buy the book our class didn't use it, not even for studying. Most classes only use it for 1 group assignment but you can share. She grades mostly on content not performance of a speech. She will give attitude if she doesn't like the question you ask.

She was probably the easiest grader I've ever had. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. Take the notes she puts on the board, but we didn't open the book once. She is super nice! I recommend her!

I would recommend taking her hybrid class. We only have class once a week, and some days we do not even have to come. I find that it is plenty of time for her to lecture and introduce the speech and have my questions answered. She is very approachable and helpful and grades easy. If you are nervous about taking speech: take her.

TAKE MIKI! Final only test. Speeches only work. Gives rubrics and example outlines. Grades while you speak, so you know your grade right away. No surprises. EASY grader. GREAT for anxiety. I was visibly shaking and she said I have a "very relaxed delivery style" and I got 100100. TAKES ATTENDANCE! No tardyabsent NO FINAL! GO TO CLASS!

I was SUPER nervous about taking this class, but it ended up not being so bad. She sets time limits for the speeches and expects you too keep it within the limit. If it's too shortlong you will lose points. She is a super easy grader though and as long as you try you will get an A. I suggesting taking the hybrid course.

If you need to take speech and are very nervous like I was, take her! Her online class is easy. 2 speeches you actually need to do research on tOGhen one group speech(easy) and one small speech about your self. She makes it very clear on what to put in your speech. if you take her advice, you will pass with a 100%. Very nice teacher

This is the teacher you want to fulfill your speech requirement with! She is very clear on exactly what is expected of you. If you follow her instructions, you will pass this class easily. She allows note cards to be used during your speech. The book is not needed.

Professor Bacino is willing to help at all times and loves her students. She is extremely clear about the grading criteria and knows all about speech anxiety, take her if you get the chance. The final is nothing to worry about and the textbook is optional.

Follow her instructions exactly and there is no way to not ace her class. Hate how attendance is graded but oh well. She gives you the questions for the final beforehand so you can easily get a perfect score. For speeches, as long as you try and she can see you made an effort, you're good. No textbook needed whatsoever.

Miki gives you a super clear cut way to write your speeches. If you follow that, there's no way you can't get an A. She's a super nice lady, but I found her class to be painfully boring, Mostly because the stuff she lectured about was really just common sense. Easy A. Super anal on attendance.

I was so nervous about taking a speech class. In high school I was always in front of people and thought talking in front of people wouldn't bother me. Apparently I was wrong, my first speech I was extremely shaky. Micki helped me with all of my speeches and gave great insight on how to improve! She made the class 100x more comfortable and relaxed.

She is a great speech teacher. Class has a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that greatly relieves the anxiety of speaking. Following the rubrics and practicing your speeches well in advance help a lot. Also, don't skip class, and don't be late. For my class, there were really good benefits for 100% attendance! All-in-all she made me a better speaker.

Miki makes it impossible for you to get anything but an A in this class. Instructions are clear and she provides excellent feedback. The online summer class was a breeze! There were only three speeches total. Everyone hates public speaking but Miki really makes you feel comfortable getting up in front of the class. I recommend her to everyone!

I took this class over the summer. It's very easy. You don't need a book and there's really not much stress about giving speeches because she's an easy grader. There was no final exam or other tests. Just three speeches.

The fist time I took speech I failed, this time I got an A. As long as you show up and allow yourself the time to put your speech together and practice before hand there is no way you won't pass.

Great Professor. As long as you showed up for your speeches and took the time to turn in the require homework (i.e topic, sources, outline, and full sentence) on time you should be able to pass this class. Good feedback on your papers before you had to do your speech.

Dr. Bacino is by far the easiest and most understanding professor I've ever had. The book isn't mandatory at all. I never used it, so don't even bother buying it. She tells you herself we don't need it anyway. Super easy A as long as you do the speeches and outlines. Not a tough grader at all. I have a 100% in there right now after 2 speeches.

Great class. I would easily take a class from her again. For someone who is not a big fan of public speaking she would be great. I took it online and went in three times to give a speech. the speech groups were 3 - 4 people so that we would be done in 45 min.

I took Speech online and Professor Bacino was amazing. She didn't make you give many speeches and she hardly takes points off for thigs you did wrong. The course is slightly accelerated online but it's nice becasue you're done with the class by mid April. Just stay up on the things you have to hand in weekly and you will be set up for success.

I have taken every class that this professor offers (Speech, and both communications classes). If you haven't had a class with her yet then you're doing it wrong. She is so supportive and willing to work with her students. It would be so hard NOT to fail her class. She does everything to make sure that her students pass. Amazing professor.

Bacino was an amazing teacher. Attendance isn't mandatory; however, I highly recommend going to each class session. She is super helpful with all the speeches and tells you exactly what to do to get an A on them. She even dedicates days to check outlines ect. There is not many lectures and little homework. I highly recommend taking her for speech.

AMAZING professor. She understands that you do not want to take this class. I hate public speaking and did horrible on my first speech verbally and got a 93/100. She grades on the content not how you deliver it. I only had to do my speech in front of two other students and her. She makes sure you aren't graded on nervousness. Truly amazing

Prof Bacino truly wants to see you succeed in her class. She was of great help during this COVID-19 pandemic and was very understanding. She is clear on what she expects from you and if you do every assignment then you can guarantee yourself an easy A! She's not a tough grader at all and makes you feel comfortable.

This course was extremely easy. There are only 3 speeches you do in total over the entire course, all of which are very clear on the grading, and straight forward. This class is a very easy A. My only complaint is that attendance was mandatory, even if showing up in class was kind of unnecessary. The course however, was very well organized.

Bacino was the best. Her expectations were always clear; as long as you do her assignments, you will do well in her class.

Prof. Bacino makes this speech class a breeze. She's understanding and provides great feedback. With just 3 speeches and no textbook required, it's an easy A if you stay engaged. I found Unstuck ai super helpful for speech prep too.

Very good professor, she gives good critical feedback and shows you ways to improve. SPH131 had very light homework, with the class having 3 main speeches. The homework was just your research. Had class canceled a couple of times, but otherwise it was a good class.

Professor Bacino made speech less scary. She understands where you are coming from and has been in your shoes in the past. She has very clear grading criteria and makes the rubric public. She does not base grading off of nervousness and is very forgiving. You have to take speech, so I would recommend Professor Bacino.
