best teacher ever!!!

Michelle is the chillest teacher ever. She loves class discussions and class participation. Um...she really loved MY class ha, but I think she appreciates students who try and can engage themselves in class discussions. Papers are repetitive (ENG 101) and easy.

awesome class! lot's of fun and pretty easy A. accepts late work with small grading penalty. you're allowed 3 absenses but the class is a lot of fun and really laid back. i looked forward to going to this class. i would definitely recommend taking any class with michelle!

I have taken two classes with Britt, Eng110 and Eng103.She is a really nice lady, very chill. Her class is an easy A if you do the work fully but i don't think i learned anything at all. Pay attention to length requirements!

She is a great teacher. I hated English in high school, but her class was not bad at all. Attendance is mandatory, but she gives you 3 absences. Papers are not that bad because they are very much opinion based. She has writing conferences that you must attend, but then you get 2-3 days off class after you go. I would definitely recommend her!

She's awesome. I used to hate english, but not I enjoy it. She's really chill, and let's you speak your mind. She makes class a lot of fun. There's not much homework, just 3 Essays which are pretty easy to write. Plus journals, which are only about a page. Overall, really good teacher, try to get her.

Michelle Britt is an "eggstraordinary" instructor. Always makes class fun and interesting. Occassionally exhibits signs of ADD :) but this leads to funny comments, actions and discussions. Fun to be around and gives good feedback. Overall, a great teacher. Take her if you want a good laugh!!!

Good teacher. She doesn't really hand back papers fast and it can take her up to a month to let you know your grade. Classes are fun though because she is a very outgoing teacher. There were 4 papers but they weren't bad at all.

Good teacher for a basic level course. She is very out there but definitely keeps you on your toes. Keep the class interested. Very out-going and positive. Definitely recommend. The stories she assigns are very interesting and easy to read and write about.

Ms. Britt is a hard teacher. However she is also a good one. The in class part is mainly discussion based and it is up to you to participate just like a meeting in a job would be. The out of class part is mainly reading and writing. If you have questions she is willing to meet with you and answer them. In this class what you give is what you get.

i really liked her. as long as you go to class and read the stories (which most people liked) will do fine. you have a blackboard discussion once a week but its easy and only takes a few minutes. i enjoyed going to class, i would recommend her!

I LOVED this class. She's hilarious & easily keeps me captivated. You need to read the assignments & keep up, but if you try, you'll get an A. I would not call this class hard, but you can't just breeze by. You need to be a little outgoing because this is a discussion course, but I HIGHLY recommend this class. Favorite. Professor. Ever.

Ms. Britt is one of the best Professors at UNCW. As long as you follow her guidelines for the work, you will be fine. She really knows her stuff, smart and down to earth teacher. DON'T use your cell phone in her class, step outside if you need to. Other than that, she's great.

I loved her. You do have to go to class everyday and you CANT look at your phone but this is a college class. She lets her students be creative and she is always interested in what they have to say. She doesnt give much feedback on papers but you can always meet with her outside of class to discuss your grades and get writing help.

I had Michelle for ENG 110 and ENG 201. She is hilarious and makes class entertaining. I would highly recommend taking her classes. She is the best teacher I experienced at Wilmington in my 5 year experience.

Ms. Britt was a great teacher. She can sometimes be a little all over the place, but her class is really interesting and she makes it fun to go. VERY strict attendance policy and she accepts NO late work and excuses. Definitely a great professor regardless, and I would definitely recommend her.

She is a very good teacher - no doubt! But she has her moods sometimes. Doesn't grade fairly. DEF has favorites in class which frustrates when you are not one of them...

I am in her Honors section of this class, and she is a wonderful professor. She is your typical college professor and expects you to follow her syllabus - if you can't, college probably isn't for you anyway. I would definitely take her if you get the chance.

Ms Britt: she's an amazing teacher, one who's always energetic and funny, one who consistently makes class interesting and fun, no matter the subject. I loved everything about her Honors class. A little of the reading can be dull (very little, though; most is interesting)--but, as I said, she makes it worth reading. Take her, no matter what class.

Ms. Britt is quite possibly the most interesting teacher I have ever had! Readings are always interesting, but you can get by without doing them. She really makes sure you get to know your classmates so class is always something to look forward to. She's super good about helping with essays and assignments. Definitely take this class!

Ms. Britt was everything I could have asked for in a teacher. She was beyond helpful, easy to work with, and treated all students equally and fairly. Everyone should take a course taught by Ms. Britt if the chance arises. :)

Britt is probably the nicest person I have ever met. Super helpful and always willing to work with students on papers. Really into class participation; if you speak up she'll love you. I HIGHLY recommend her class.

Miss Britt is by far the best teacher I've had at UNCW. Her class is extremely entertaining. She's energetic and loves to laugh, but she means business when it comes to work and attendance. There is weekly discussions online, many papers/readings, and group work. Overall the class was amazing I had a great time even at 8am! I HIGHLY recommend!

I was in the honors section (ENG 103-300). I loved this class! Writing papers used to be like pulling teeth for me, but the papers we had to write in the class were not bad at all. Ms. Britt give you a lot of freedom in what you write. Just make sure you read the syllabus! If you follow all the rules of the syllabus, it's an easy A. GREAT TEACHER!

Ms. Britt is awesome...great teacher and really cares about her students. She makes learning fun and is a great person. She's realllyyyy hot too. Shes fair and a really intelligent in her field. She is def the best a UNCW. And she lent me a lighter one time!!

Ms. Britt is the best. I was a little reluctant to take the class due to the name "World Anglophone Literature" but it is all about the Caribbean. She is really relaxed and loves class discussions. We would sometimes spend the whole 50 minutes talking about themes in the day's story. A must take in your college career.

Professor Britt is by far one of the most entertaining and enlightening professors I have ever encountered. She is extremely laid back and works with her students, don't let the big course name or her syllabus scare you off! I have now taken four classes with her and will try and take many more! Great professor, easy class, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very energetic and makes class entertaining (even at 9am.) BUT, do not take her class as a joke. Be sure to go to class and turn-in well written essays.

Energetic, fun teacher. Very involved and sporadic with students, inside and outside of class. A lot of reading is required, but the only assignments off of them are a class discussion, so at least get the gist of the readings. ACCEPTS ABSOLUTELY NO LATE WORK

While Ms. Britt is very fun and energetic, she also likes to pile things up at the end of the semester. Currently I have to do two papers for her, a one page response, an English in Action project, and a final group project all due within the next week and a half. Otherwise, awesome person and really fun class!

She is an amazing teacher who finds every way to make literature interesting. If you have to take one prerequisite class, it's English 110.

Miss. Britt is the most amazing, out of this world, down to earth professor you'll ever take. Take ENG 110 with her. Best experience of college so far! Ya won't regret it! Never a dull day, always doing something different and having fun!

FANTASTIC! Ms. Britt is exceptional. She usually has the best English in Action Projects. She is very laid back but don't take her assignments lightly nor her attendance policy. She is very reasonable and always willing to help. She also keeps you updated with the opportunities outside the classroom. LOVE!

Ms. Britt is Amazing! She is probably the best teacher I have had at this school. Follow her syllabus to a T and you will be fine. She is hard on attendance but she makes the class so you will want to go!....follow the rubric on papers, 3 pages is 3 pages not 2.5.

The coursework is obviously described from day 1 and the quality of work is not joked about. Ms Britt is awesome as a teacher, she lays everything on the table from the very first day and will help if you ask for it. Though there's a lot of work, the involvement makes it more enjoyable than a normal English class.

Ms. Britt is awesome! She's hilarious & she makes ENG interesting which is hard to do. Here's the thing: she means business. Can miss a max of 2 classes. Don't meet her criteria for papers, blackboard post, etc? Big fat 0. She doesn't take excuses. She takes forever to grade too. But like I said, her class is fun to attend. I recommend taking her!

People who complain about Mrs. Britt's style of teaching are not the kind of people who'd do well in the class. She's a free spirited teacher with a great personality. She'll remember you forever if you make a point to stand out. She'll call you out on your bull, so put effort into the class. Over all, I enjoyed more than any other class.

Without a doubt my favorite professor at UNCW. Don't get me wrong, by no means is her class an easy A. She grades hard (whenever she slowly gets to it) and will call you on your bullcrap. But she is the funniest, nicest, and most fun teacher you could have. I hope to get her again.

She is literally one of my favorite teachers. Her style however is very controversial. She is very relaxed and yet strict about due dates. She will give you an automatic 0 if your papers are not formatted correctly. In the same token she will always help and encourage you. She will push and do things on the spot. I will never forget her.

She is a great a teacher. I took her twice I liked her so much! Her teaching style can be nerve racking for some. But if you believe in public speaking and growing as person she is one the best to take. I highly recommend. If you like things organized, clean cut, and always defined this may not be the class for you.

Miss Britt's class is nothing like other English classes you will take. There is a new surprise every day, and class goes by super fast. That being said, GO TO CLASS (or you'll lose points). Also, READ THE SYLLABUS. There are many specific formatting requirements, and failing to follow them could result in a 0 on the assignment.

Ms. Britt is not only an amazing person, but a phenomenal teacher. If you are borderline as to whether or not to take one of her classes, please TAKE THE CLASS. She will give you a whole new perspective on life in general. I have so much respect for her its unbelievable. Truly, an amazing person.

Where do I even begin? Michelle changed my entire life. Most positive, laid-back, hysterically funny, knowledgeable, inspirational, free-spirited person I have ever met. Literature in Motion was an outdoor class, rain or shine. Always full of excitement and laughter. 3 short papers, very short readings for homework. BEST CLASS OF MY LIFE.

I don't even know where to begin. Ms. Britt completely changed my life, she is the most inspirational woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I hope to be as half as wonderful as she is one day. Not only does she really care about her students but she teaches the material in a way that makes you want to learn. Would recommend taking her!!

Britt is an amazing woman that is one of the most free-spirited people you will ever meet. She is hilarious and loves when her class is active and participates. She makes her assignments fun for her students. Only down fall is that she is a slow grader and can be specific about her work.

Great teacher! She's super laid back and hilarious. She enjoys an active class and constantly has everyone engrossed in conversation. She even made us put our desks in a circle everyday to talk about the stories we read (which are super short and enjoyable to read). Papers are short and discussions are super open-ended and enjoyable!

I'm currently taking Ms. Britt's English 100 class. She is a wonderful individual. Her personality will get you hooked on the class. She incorporates motivation in all of her classes. Each week, we have Motivational Monday, Wonderful Wednesday, and Freaky Friday. (: I've fallen in love with her out going personality!

There really are not enough characters to describe how much she has influenced me throughout my time at UNCW. Take the class, just take it, you will never regret!

I love Ms. Britt! She is my favorite professor that I have taken at UNCW so far! She is always positive and puts everyone in a wonderful mood! I loved going into this class every other day, she is very outgoing, motivational, and positive, always having something awesome to cheer you up (shoutout to free fruits). She often puts deadlines on the syllabus schedule and expects you to remember them. If you don't, you will get a 0. Loved the class!

I took her 8am and I honestly WANTED to be there every day. She's so chill but takes attendance very seriously. Britt has a way of making you look at things in a way you've never looked at them before and will change your whole view on the world. Highly recommend her but if you need a class with structure and order, I might pick someone else.

Hilarious! Professor Britt is one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. Although attendance is MANDATORY, with only two absences allowed for the semester, I enjoyed going to class. Britt made the 8AM fun! Never any tests or quizzes. FORMAT PROPERLY or you'll get zeros on papers. I'm even taking her again next semester for ENG201.

Very different from any other professor. Unorganized, spastic, loud, but an absolutely fantastic experience. The first few classes are uncomfortable, but Britt is a must have. Easy to pass as long as you participate and put some kind of effort into completing the work.

This is my second class I've taken with Britt and I absolutely love her classes. I always looked forward to going to them. She opens your mind to a world of new possibilities and perspectives. She's also so ridiculously funny. Unlike any other class or teacher I've ever had. Stress level for her classes is also non-existent. Take her!

I was unsure of Britt at first, but I grew to love her, and her class. She will require that you participate and think outside of the box, but I promise by the end you will be grateful for the experience. The only downside is that you will rarely get grades back unless you go to her office hours, also she is super picky about format.

Craziest English class I have ever taken by far. She is a great teacher, but you must not be afraid to participate everday. You get to know everyone in the class well and go outside multiple times.

One of the few classes I looked forward to going to. Its not for everyone. The class was amazing you do crazy things and never know what to except. The first day of class we went outside and screamed just cuz. Another time we played football with a baby. You wont regret taking this class.

Ms Britt is truly one of a kind. You will either love her or you won't. She keeps 100% real all the time and will say whatever she is thinking. This is a very unstructured class and everyday is an adventure. The biggest advice I can give if put yourself out there and participate, do the assignments (format correctly) and you'll be fine.

All you have to do is show up, do the little bit of work given, and most importantly PARTICIPATE. Basically 99% of your grade is based on participation. Britt is an awesome person and it is a very enjoyable environment, she really cares about her kids.

Ms. Britt is the most amazing professor! She made my freshman year amazing and fostered my previous love for English so much that I changed my major. I loved her class and she teaches in such a unique and fun way. You will either love it or you will hate it- no in between. If you don't like to participate I don't recommend taking courses with her.

ENG110 at UNCW with Britt means you don't have a classroom, but with this you learn so much you never thought you would. Def. not your average english class your grade is based on participation primarily so get ready to dance.

super entertaining and very easy! dont buy the textbook, she ends up posting every page she wants you to read. three effortless one page papers, but she takes forever to grade them. do every discussion board even though she doesnt grade them. they will count towards participation. take her! take her! take her!

I love Professor Britt. She never gives homework. All you have to do to pass is go to class and have fun with her. Participation is super important. As long as you interact with the class you will do extremely well. It's a super fun class.

She is, in a word, awesome! Such a fun person to be around, and a little crazy. But she embraces the most out of everyone, doesn't expect much except a little participation and creativity, and is extremely caring and interesting. Not to mention incredibly smart and curious. This class was an easy A. It was hard to get a bad grade on an assignment!

Ms. Britt is so awesome. Though it is an English class, it doesn't feel like it. We went outside all the time, had lots of discussions. Ms. Britt makes you step out of your comfort zone, which is uncomfortable at first but so worth it. She really gets to know you as a person, and you will get to know your classmates very well, which is so much fun.

I absolutely love Michelle Britt with my whole heart. If you miss more than 3 classes she will drop a letter grade. But her class is so much fun, just show up and participate in class. She doesn't have any hard assignments or homework, but be ready to be put on the spot. If you aren't an active participator don't take her class.

Grading is not clear. She does not put in grades until after the semester so you will never know where you stand. Classes are most to all outside rain or shine, cold or hot. I loved it because we would talk about anything in our lives very little to no English was taught or learned. Amazing class for an easy grade, just follow formatting!

She is a wonderful teacher, all you need to do is show up and speak a few times. She puts you out of your comfort zone but you will get used to it and bond with all your classmates. 1000% worth it.

Ms. Britt creates a community like no other in her classes. She is my fav prof by far. Show up and talk once or twice a class and you will get above a 95 in the class. She is out there but she cares so much and the people in class with me are now some of my closest friends thanks to her. No homework everything is in class.

She really loves to get you out of your comfort zone and doesn't care what you say as long as you participate. She's up for anything, unpredictable in the best way, and truly cares about every single one of her students like they're her own children. Very little work, just come to class regularly and you should be fine. She's incredible and my fav!

Britt is such a funny professor. At first, she can come off as crazy, but shes amazing. She teaches you to come out of your comfort zone and loves to get to know you. For the most part we just do fun dances and have conversations. Participation is very important so come to class!!

I LOVE MS. BRITT! She is so amazing and if you are signing up for english TAKE HER! Do not settle for anyone else. She does not give much work at all, I think we had a few things due on canvas when we didn't have class and one paper that was one page due all semester. Her class is all outside which was cold at first but it warmed up very quickly.

Ms. Britt will forever be my favorite professor. You may not learn much about English but you will learn so much about life in general. She brings a completely new perspective into the classroom (or out of the classroom since it is taught outside). I cannot say enough good things about her. LOVE HER. TAKE HER.

Best course I have ever taken and probably will ever take. Her courses are all outside which is sort of refreshing. Although chaotic it is a class you should take no matter what. She gives little to no homework. You have 2-3 papers because she needs to turn I grades but wouldn't if she didn't have to. She doesn't like to put in grades though.

Take the class if you can. Class is all outside which isn't that big of a deal. Just make sure to participate and you'll get a good grade. If you want an easy English class, sign up for Britt as soon as registration opens because it will fill up.

She was such a great teacher! She is different from the traditional English classes which I enjoyed. She wouldn't teach grammar and stuff like that but she was always on topic of it and helped opened our mind. I would I got in her Eng 201 class but TAKE HER!!!

Professor Britt is an amazing teacher, she gives you real life application rather than just reading books and writing papers about them. If you like to go outside of your comfort zone take this class you do many different unexpected things in this class. Also you get to become close with your peers in the class so it builds a sense of community.

Britt's a cool English teacher if you like being outside in all weather or speaking a lot in class. She is very loud, you won't learn much about English, more about arguments and job interview prep. She cares about her students, but you have to speak up to get a good grade because participation is the biggest grade.

Professor Britt is a very loud and active professor. I would recommend taking this class if you are ok getting out of your comfort zone. She does not give any homework and only requires 3 papers to be written over the entire semester. her classes are always outside no matter the weather. This class is held ONLY outside which might sound scary but it is more like a recess. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. You will have the best experience. Class is just talking with no wrong answers. Your main grade is participation even if you're shy it comes easy in this class. This class is a great break from all the tougher classes. SERIOUSLY TAKE IT.

She has a very interactive teaching style that allows students to speak their mind and participate easily. Even if you are not one for class participation, this class will be a blast. Ms. Britt loves her job and her students. She wants them to succeed in class and life, and makes sure that they are aware they have the opportunity to do so for both.

The #1 thing to remember about Miss. Britt is that you need to go to class, your grade will sink if you miss more than 1 day. You need to participate, so if you're a wallflower, she will drag you out of your comfort zone. What really makes the class is your fellow classmates, so pray you have good people, otherwise it's boring.

I do not write reviews but I cannot express how grateful I am that I took her class. Mrs. Britt pushes you to become the best version of yourself and to think differently. She is an incredible person and I could not be more thankful for her and her presence in my life. 11/10, honestly took her class for fun one semester just to enjoy.

Love this class. The energy is so great and she really cares about you as a person. Basically ADHD as a class its so fun.

Britt's class was one that I could look forward to every day. She is very engaging, sweet, and helpful outside the class. The workload was very light except for some interactive project-style assignments. With enough courage, all of those were super simple too. She has been the best professor at UNCW. Ms. Britt's class was awesome and not difficult at all. One incredibly easy assignment every week and then just going to class and participating are the only things you need to get an A. One time our assignment was to literally just write our favorite word backwards. Just take the class its great!

There's no professor on the face of this earth like Michelle Britt. She made the class entertaining to wear every day is an adventure and no day is the same as the last. ATTENDANCE MATTERS BIG TIME! DO NOT MISS CLASS. It's always outside and a class that teaches students how to think on their feet in preparation for job interviews. I LOVE BRITT!!!

Easiest class I've ever taken. No work is assigned. 3 short essays basically graded on completion. The only negative thing is that attendance is extremely mandatory and no exceptions are made.

Professor Britt's class is a fun, interactive experience. With minimal homework and easy assignments, it's a great way to learn. Attend every class and participate - you'll get an A. Unstuck ai was also helpful for test prep.

Ms. Britt is one of the best people I've ever met. The class is entirely outside and she takes us all over campus. There is absolutely no work and you will learn NOTHING about english. You will have the best time of your life and learn so many life lesson with Ms. Britt!

I love Ms. Britt with my heart and soul. If you are willing to be open and go outside of your comfort zone, take 110 with her. She makes learning so easy and helps you to learn key life skills. One thing to keep in mind is you MUST participate as it is the biggest factor of your grade and do not miss class, you get 2 absences, and you will do well.

Mrs Britt changed my perspective on so many things. I really connected with her and she genuinely loves and cares about every single one of her students. You don't learn much about english but you learn a ton about yourself and the world around you.

This was an amazing class, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do something that is different and fun.

I took ENG101 with Ms Britt just and signed up for my 3rd class with her. Dont take this class if you want to learn about English. Attendance is vital; you'll fail if you miss 4 classes. Participation=45% of your grade, class 100% outside, no test/exams. it teaches you a lot of life lessons. I love Ms Britt and you would be lucky to take her class

I LOVE YOU MISS BRITT!!! Best teacher ever. We do absolutely nothing and she teaches you how to be prepared for an job interview. Class is always outside either rain or shine. What an amazing women to get to know.

I LOVE MISS BRITT. Her class is completely outside and every week you meet in a new spot around campus. Attendance is mandatory but her class is so fun you won't want to miss it. Definitely take her if you want an easy A

Best class you will ever take at UNCW. Attendance is mandatory though and you only get 2 absences no matter what. Participation is 45% of the grade so make sure to talk during class. But other than that it's an Easy A and you'll have a good time. Outdoor class everyday no matter what.

If your a STEM major and need an easy English class for credit, TAKE MS. BRITT'S CLASS!!! Not only is the class incredibly easy, Ms. Britt is SO SWEET AND THOUGHTFUL. You are only allowed 2 absences, and participation is heavily required. There are 3 written papers you must complete, but they are so easy. She WILL get you out of your comfort zone;)
