An overall amazing prof with a very clear voice and entertaining to watch/listen to in lecture. Tests aren't made by her but they can be a bit tricky, make sure you know your material.

Dr. Cadieux is great! She's a gifted lecturer and is so engaging. I'm so happy I got her instead of Dr. Kim (nothing against Dr Kim though). Also has the most soothing voice I've ever heard! The quizzes are pretty challenging and you definitely have to be actively thinking.

She is a great professor. You seriously will not regret taking Psych 1X03. Don't worry about iClicker Points, even if you get 2 each lecture, you have a chance at getting 8 the last lecture and also 5 for filling out a survey at the end of the semester. Pay attention though, many questions on the exam from lecture and textbook material.

Dr. Cadieux is awesome!!! Lectures are engaging and use demos/audience participation, which is cool to break the ice in first year. Doesn't feel stuffy or stressful - it was the one class I'd never miss :) you have to stay on top of modules and do the weekly quizzes, but neither is difficult and it's overall an easy A. Recommend for all first years

Dr. Cadieux is easily my favorite prof this semester. She's so engaging in her lectures and always makes them super interesting and fun by adding mini games and stuff. I am so hoping I have her again next semester. Her lectures were the best part of my week. if you have the chance to take a course with her, do it.

The modules for this course were really engaging. The course was definitely set up for students to learn and retain knowledge and the comedic delivery made them very enjoyable to watch. The textbook reading was very condense and added to the modules so it didn't feel repetitive. It was a great first year elective choice.

Was helping us till the second before our exam on the pre-exam extra hours chat! She's very animated and is very responsive- truly there to help you understand and learn EVERY concept. Thanks Dr. Cadieux!

Incredible, show-stopping, talented, kind, caring, funny, hard-working, queen energy..... the list goes on and on. No, but seriously, if you ever have the chance to take a first-year psychology course please do it. Her lectures were entertaining and made me actually enjoy online classes. Monday lectures were the highlight of my week.

Love her and Dr. Kim! Structured pretty simply, so if you just do the work of whats expected you'll be fine. I took a few of their classes and it's clear they both love what they do. They put in a lot of work trying to have fun with themselves, while making it entertaining for students. Perfect to start off first year with them.

I had Dr. Cadieux for both intropsych courses along with Dr. Kim, and I found that she was consistently really responsive and kind. She's very animated when she lectures in a way that just makes you want to pay attention. I got sick twice this semester and she was tremendously accommodating and kind. Gonna miss her class so much when it's over :(

She's great, both the web module and in-person lecture with her are great and super engaging, especially as someone who never found psychology as a particularly interesting subject but she and Dr. Kim made almost every lesson memorable. Just know that the midterm seems easy but the final is quite a bit harder. A lot of extra credit opportunities.

I absolutely loved this class because it was made with a student's enjoyment and success in mind. The course goes over a lot of interesting studies and has great learning opportunities in it. The web modules used are really creative. The best thing about this course was the teachings about the best way to study in university. Absolutely recommend.

Lectures were super engaging. Psych can be hard but if you put the effort in you should do well, there are also many opportunities to do bonus things to bring your grade up so take advantage of those. Would definitely recommend this class.

I LOVED THIS CLASS. The weekly modules were always so fun to watch, even though some could be content heavy. Tests were fair and there was no tricks. Lectures and interactive tutorials were always the best part of my week.

She is seriously awesome, super approachable and the online modules were entertaining. 1XX3 was more difficult but if you put in the effort you will be fine.

Dr. Cadieux is literally AMAZING. Her lectures are so fun, she is so entertaining and knowledgeable. Her demos are the best and she always makes sure that everyone is zoned in and actively listening. Psych is usually one of the classes that has the most people and its easy to zone out, but with Dr. Cadieux, you'll always sometimes be so focused.

Her lectures are sooo fun...even though the content could be heavy at times, with the web module, interactive lectures, tutorials and tophat questions...you'll master the material. It is clear lot of effort was put into the modules to make them engaging; the lectures are also interesting and funny. There are several opportunities for extra credit to help reduce the final exam weight and to drop some lower grades.

Great professor, so much effort is put into the modules and it makes content easy to digest. Her lectures are engaging and straightforward. She relates concepts back to real-life examples really well.

Michelle and the MacIntroPsych team does a lot to make the lectures really interactive and engaging. the weekly quizzes were a little much sometimes but helped with practicing content learned that week. Downside is the textbook can be found online but you are basically forced to buy it since it gives you benefits during lecture.

Dr. Michelle Cadieux is an amazing prof. Her lectures are very engaging and she is very funny. I would not skip her lectures. The course is easy and sets up for you to do very well. There is 9.5% participation grades available, meaning if you participate you get a free 9.5%, it is weighted off your final exam.

I cannot express how much I loved Michelle Cadieux! She is awesome and very engaging. A piece of advice for any new students taking Psych1X03; getting top hat is worth it and they give out a ton of extra points in the last lecture. If you want to 12 the course it is extremely helpful to have the benefits that top hat provides.

It's clear that an incredible amount of effort was put into the lectures and web modules. The lectures are also always fun, and there's plenty of opportunity for extra credit to improve your grade. Highly recommend!

Dr. Cadieux deserves every positive tag. None of her courses are burdensome. Infinite practice quizzes/tests. Tutorials are review sessions. Lectures are 'applied' examples. They make amazing modules. I recommend reading the textbook, it is very digestable. I love macintropsych! I confused my midterm time, and she let me write without trouble.

Dr. Cadieux is a great prof! Alongside Dr. Kim, their modules are fun and engaging. With that being said, there is a lot of content to be learned, as seen in any PSYCH course. Take this course if you are truly intrigued by psychology as there is a lot to remember!!!

If you're a first-year student, make sure to take psych 1xx3 or 1x03 with Dr. Cadieux. She is so kind and accommodating towards students. Her online modules are engaging and helpful. Plus there are many opportunities provided to increase your grade. I've never had anyone take her class and complain about her teaching. Great prof!

Dr. Cadieux is a kind prof who genuinely wants you to succeed. Going to her during office hours will benefit you, as she elaborates on things you don't understand. being able to recite information from lectures will NOT help on quizzes and tests, so be prepared to study actively and continuously. most quiz/test questions are application-based.

Dr. Cadieux is amazing! I never missed a single lecture - she's clear, funny, and engaging. Psych is a great course but you do need to put in the effort to get a good grade. I loved Dr. Cadieux! Super fun prof with amazing lectures. The content is very fun as well with fun skits within the modules. However you do have to put in some effort to get a really good grade. Pretty much all memorization but Dr. Cadieux's personality, sense of humour and teaching style totally make up for it

Dr. Cadieux is amazing, the lectures and web modules are absolutely fantastic!! There are tutorials every week to help you understand concepts, and weekly quizzes are open book to help reinforce the ideas and give students an incentive to practice with no extra stress added. This course is amazing, and studying for it was fun rather than stressful.

Dr. Cadieux is easily one of my favourite profs at Mac. She is extremely engaged during her lectures, and uses humor and personal stories to connect with students. She is a sweet and kind human, who is passionate about what she teaching. Her tests were fair (relative to the modules, textbook etc), and the weekly tutorials helped enrich knowledge!!!

I loved taking this class, it's not required that you go to lectures but if you do you can get points to drop grades. Tutorial grading is super easy if you participate you'll get 100%. There are weekly quizzes which are nice to boost your grades. Exam wasn't that hard.

Dr. Cadieux is an amazing professor and person!! Her lectures are fantastic and she has a knack for keeping students engaged. The web modules explain concepts so well and the structure of the class makes it easy and fun to learn the content.

She is a very kind professor and responds to emails very quickly if you have any questions. Amazing Lecturer. Plenty of opportunities to do well in these courses (ex. tophat bonus points). Though I will say 1xx3 is way harder than 1x03 and you will have to work harder in it. Plenty resources were provided when big assessments happened.

Dr. Cadieux lectures are always engaging and entertaining to say the least. 10/10 course, personally I think it's a bird course, only because I enjoy the course content. If you're a biology type of student, and like structured courses, this may be the course for you.

DON'T TAKE AS A BIRD! Although I got an A, it was quite content heavy and required many hours of my week. The midterm was exactly like class content (I got a 29/30) but the exam was a little difficult (I got a 49/60) + the version 4 answer copy was distributed to me and had to wait over an hour for another.

IntroPsych is awesome.

She's so silly and wonderful and awesomeee!!! Material is not hard and easy to keep up with, lots of help for studying and exams is integrated into the course itself. She delivers amazing lectures!!!!!!

She is so funny! Had here for two lectures and I was so sad when she left. She is so engaging. Web modules have most of the content and you so have to do the textbook reading because they pull random information for the exams. Tutorials are well organized and easily marked. Overall amazing course and would highly recommend.

SHE'LL PROBABLY BE YOUR FAVORITE PROF. Amazing lectures, technically you do have to attend because they're not recorded and whatever is said in there is testable, but I really found myself to be excited to attend her lectures because they're super engaging and funny! Such a good professor that genuinely made me want to go to class. I have no interest in psychology but taking her class made me almost want to specialized in PNB. Take this course 100%. Watch the modules, go to lectures and spam practice quizzes and it'll be an easy 12.

Doctor Cadieux is a fantastic professor who cares deeply about her students. She tries her best to ensure that the weekly modules and lectures are both entertaining and educational. She is swift to respond to questions about the course posted on the McMaster subreddit, even if she isn't tagged in them.

I loved all of her lectures. It was the only lecture out of my five courses that I actually looked forward to attending! She is very fun, engaging, and she can actually TEACH. Her vibe is just always energetic and she cares about her students..! The psych department did their job well :)

Dr.Cadieux was extremely kind and enthusiastic , one of my favourite professors !! When I had question regrading wrong quiz answers she was very quick to respond and gave me a really good explanation. The marking for the midterm and exam were also super quick!!

I did not buy the textbook so I did not have Top Hat; it's not necessary at all, nor is the handbook. Everything you need is in the online modules, sans for maybe 1 or 2 questions that would come from lecture or textbook. Exams are mostly module-based. Modules are not that long, but writing notes may double the time. Participate in tutorials.

The best prof I've had thus far! Lectures are very engaging and funny. The exam and the midterm were also super fair.
