this professor is AWESOME! She makes the class relate to real life, and doesnt go much out of the book. I have already recommended her to many people, she is a good teacher to take if you are scared to speak in front of people...highly recommended.

i always dread theory classes, but ms. dusseau made sence out of this class and made me proud to be a communication major!!!

michelle is cool as hell. she is not a lecturer at all but yet loves to talk and have for students participate in everything. whatever the class if she is teaching it. TAKE IT! she makes communication classes so much fun, interesting and unpredictable!!!

This class was so much fun. I hated the idea of a 3 hour night class, but all we did was watch interesting movies. Dusseau is such a fun and interesting professor.

Easy class. Learned the basics and EVERYTHING else about her life. No scantrons just fill in the blank which helps bc you can get partial credit. Easy exam! 10 questions. And one easy/fun paper

If you want a teacher that will envolve you completly in the subject and make you think outside the box, then she is for you! Her teaching and classes changed my whole views. I have never looked foward to getting up and going to class more than I have with her comm classes. Whoever knocks her is just not used to going with the flow , take her !

Best teacher..lectures are short and interesting, she gives handouts and tests are straight from the notes.. to me there weren't any surprises on the test.. as a result, got an A

EXtremely easy class. if you have to take this class, take her! no textbook. watched films ALOT. some class notes, not much. two assignments, one paper and one group. fun class.. def recommend.

LOVE HER! I learned more in her class than I have my past 3 years in college combined. She makes class interesting. You don't use the book at all. Anyone that says other wise about Michelle is totally lost. She doesn't really play favorites and will tell you all kinds of funny stories. TAKE HER!!!

Very good teacher. Tests are challenging with lots of lists but are fair and there are no surprises if you study.

I've taken her for many classes. She is the best teacher at UCF. She is interesting and she is fun in class. Its not boring at all when she teaches! She is all about group projects and her tests are straight forward, no surprises. What she lectures on is what is on the tests.

BY FAR THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. I will be taking her for as many classes as possible. I never thought I would be able to sit through a 3 hour class without falling asleep until I took a class with Ms. Dusseau. She makes it interesting and really cares about her students. HIGHLY recommended.

Uses group projects- no paper to turn in though. class is interesting and fun. She tells a lot of personal stories, very close with her students, write down what she says word for word if you can. No scantrons, rememeber her lists! and fill in the blanks, make sure you know examples of the theory. Can get partial credit.

Miss D is the best teacher! She makes the material and class fun and interesting. She is by far one of the best teachers at UCF. I have taken her for many classes and she is great. Dont ever buy a book unless she tells you to and write down almost everything she says cuz it will be on the test. Tests are okay, just study the notes front and back!

this isnt a class to just graduate out of college. u only enroll w/dusseau if youre seriously interested in becoming a better person and succeeding far in years to come. she teaches you not in terms of academics but more about the essentials of LIFE. tests? PAY ATTENTION. all there is to it. shes interesting so it wont be hard to pay attention

She's an amazing professor. She will help you with almost any problem even if it doesnt have anything to do with the class. She really makes you want to do well and even made organizational communication interesting. I highly suggest taking her.

Shes a great professor! She does hang out with some of her students but there is no favoratism when it comes to grading them (ive seen some of their grades). She teaches with her personal life examples and i think it works. Ive learned so much of her material and have found myself talking about things ive leaned, out of the classroom.

Dusseau is remarkable. Her interest in her students success is evident right from the second you sit down in her class. Once you take her...you'll never want to take comm classes with anyone else!

I have had Ms.Dusseau for 9 classes now, and i maintain that she is a fantastic teacher. Her classes aren't easy but you learn a lot. I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to learn and isn't lazy. If you're looking for a free ride, keep looking.

Out of touch with her students this semester... lacking her spark- which is quite odd, oh well maybe it'll be there in the fall

I love taking her classes. I took her about 6 times and I am missing her this semester. Her test are all fill in the blank, but if you study your notes you'll do fine. She has had a crazy life, and is very opinionated which always leads to interesting class discussions. she is funny and sweet, my favorite professor in college.

What an AWESOME teacher! I have taken about 6 classes with her and she has made every class discussion interesting. Her tests are the not the easiest. You have to pay attention during class and you have to know everything. Flashcards are the best way to study for her tests. Overall, you learn a lot and she is a great teacher!

MUST TAKE WORD FOR WORD NOTES FROM HER LECTURES! All of the tests were fill in the blank and essay format so you need to know the material. Its all pretty interesting in her lectures so just pay attention.

Class attendance is required to pass. All the material is covered in class almost exactly as it is in testing. A fun class and an interesting professour. Recomended if you are not going to miss class.

Ms.D is a great teacher that loves what she does. DO NOT buy the textbook because the tests are based off her notes, so you must attend class. I have taken her for all my communication classes.

We learned something 8 weeks out of 16. One of those weeks, we learned her life story. What an efficient use of time. When she does teach, it's useful information, but she made it pretty clear students are 'nothing' in her eyes-even said as much in class.

Talks about topics that relate to EVERYONE. Once you get past the first test you'll love her. Exams are her notes Exactly so take note, memorize them and you'll pass! She does extra credit too

Professor Dusseu is a great professor and this class is not a hard class. She lectures and you have to take notes. She tells you exactly what you need to know, her tests are bases soley on her lecture, there is no textbook. If you review her notes prior to test you will be fine. She also provides huge opportunity for extra credit. Take it.

looking to learn from a passionate, intelligent scholar then take her for any class she teaches. Is she difficult if you're a slacker then yes you might thinks so. however if you truly want to open your mind and eyes to the world around you there is no one better than she to make you realize there is so much more in life for you to learn and do.

Makes class fun and lectures interesting. Must go to every class or at least get all the notes you missed or you won't do well on the exam. Has a lot of good examples so you get the concept but takes a while to get grades back to you.

Can be difficult to tolerate but manageable depending on who you're grouped with. Basically every assignment is a group activity. Plenty of extra credit opportunities.

It's important to check in daily for updates on things, and she also throws in some extra credit to make sure you're reading. No tests, just writing assignments. Excellent at responding to emails quickly. First online class I have ever enjoyed. Would happily take another one of her classes.

Good professor. You MUST memorize her class notes because her tests are based strictly on her lectures. You always know what to expect. There is group work in all aspects of the class so don't take her if you don't want to work with others. She talks about her personal life a lot! She can come across as arrogant at times and is very opinionated.

So personable and always available to talk. A lovely woman, I feel lucky to have met. Can go on some brief tangents, but nothing you won't enjoy listening to. Explains all material thoughtfully. Tests require studying

Ms. D is such a great teacher, by far one of the best one's I've had in college. She made all her material interesting and while her exams were hard, as long as you know not to wait until the night before there's no reason you shouldn't do well. Definitely would recommend taking her.

It's a lot of work, group projects, her tests are fill in the blank so you've got to know your stuff, but she knows her stuff, she's funny, insightful, and interesting, I enjoyed her class but don't take 2 in a semester, one is enough!

5 group projects. 3 exams that are all fill in the blank. she makes it clear what will be on the test, takes entire 3 hours of class time, 30 question exams, content is low but high in quality. Whatever she goes over will be on the test. I did all extra credit, brought me from a C to an A. difficult part will be organizing group projects

I have taken Ms D multiple times already and will continue to. The tests are no joke, must know information, as they are fill in the blank. Make sure you have time in addition to class time to complete group projects. Ms D makes class fun and interesting, and gives a lot of extra credit (which you will need after all that fill in the blank).

Great professor who teaches you knowledge that is immediately applicable in everyday life. Grading is based on group projects, note taking, and tests. Hardest part of class is to get whole group to meet several times during the semester. The tests are fill in the blank, so it may be difficult if you didn't study word for word.

Amazing professor, Truly cares about her students. Her tests are hard as you have to memorize everything on the notes you take during class, but as long as you study you will do great. Her classes are very inspirational, I leave every class thinking about the lecture she taught. She responds to her messages very quickly. Overall one of the best!

Best professor I've ever had. She truly care about humanity and equality and doesn't just teach, but goes out of her way to make an impact in the world. Her class is very inspirational and we should all strive to be more like her! Definitely take her class, study, participate, make a difference in the community and you will pass!

She divides you up into groups and you have to do bonding activities as well as community service events. Her exams were all blank and you really have to study and know the information in order to do well. She is an easy grader when it comes to the papers. I wasn't a fan at first but she got better as the semester went on.

Hands down best professor I've had the pleasure of taking. Every class she teaches, I took. Her tests make it so that you HAVE to learn and memorize the content as she is all about getting your tuitions worth. She doesn't allow technology in classroom so make sure you can hand write good notes. No books needed but lots of group work!

I have to agree, this is one of the best professors at UCF. Her lectures are interesting, tests are fill in the blank and the group project puts everything into perspective and well related to the class and the subject area that we covered in class. I would definately take her again!

Her exams are based on her lectures verbatim. You need to take very specific notes. She grades on attendance. She does offer a lot of extra credit to make up for her aggressive exam heavy grading. One major group project that is vital to your grade too. The book is needed for online discussion posts. She is very engaging and smart.

Ms. Dusseau is such a great professor. She is so understanding and will listen to you about anything. Only part of her courses that I would change is the heavy group work. But, I still would strongly recommend her.

I thought I was going to really hate this class when I saw how many discussion posts there were, but prof Dusseau made this class interesting. You really got to know your group members and the discussions were interesting and enjoyable. Easy A if you put in the work. Professor dusseau is very passionate and knowledgeable. I have nothing but good things to say about Dusseau. This is my second class with her and I am loving it. Some may say her tests are hard and she's a tough grader on assignments and projects, but I disagree. Her lectures are actually entertaining, which is why I actually go.

Great prof, caring but pushes you to learn. Do not take if you are not willing to put in the time to get the grade you deserve. Will not give an easy A just for an online course. Had her for a 6 week summer class and got a high grade but had to put in 10+ hours of work each week, WORTH IT, but you must be willing to put in the time.

Best professor I had in my 4 years at UCF. She gives the most inspirational classes you'll ever have. Not only is she an incredibly knowledgeable teacher but she's an amazing human being. She genuinely cares about her students, not because of her paid role but because thats just the way she truly is. I left every class feeling inspired.

Professor Dusseau is the only professor I've had that I actually felt like cared. She is the most inspirational Public speaking professor and you really will grow as a person by taking this class. She encourages everyone in class to become friends and by the end of this course you will be 110% better at public speaking. She rocks seriously.

Professor Dusseau is the most helpful speech teacher Ive ever encountered/had. She creates a welcoming environment for everyone to fail and improve. She cares more about you as a speaker than grading you tough. Fair warning that you will have quite a few speeches, but by the end of the class you will appreciate them.

Dr. Dusseau is great! She is so compassionate, and inspiring. I didn't know what to expect going into her gender class, but it was worth giving it a shot. She is so knowledgeable about what she's talking about. There is loads of work though. She puts you in a group that you will work with all semester, and you have to attend events for credit.

If you have the chance to take Dusseau do it! Shes an amazing professor who is passionate about her students success and their wellbeing. She is one of the best profs in the communication dept! The way she sets up the entire semester just makes sense and allows you to take breaks. I will be taking all of her available classes when possible.

This was my favorite class of the entire semester. Dusseau is a great activist and teaches you how to be the same. Most of the class is discussions and a few individual assignments that are a piece of cake. As long as you do the assignments you will pass. Very reasonable assignments and timeline. Textbook required but its actually a good read!

Dr. Dusseau is the absolute best professor at UCF hands down. Ive taken all of her classes and shes the only lecturer Ive learned anything from. Shes genuinely interested and invested in her students well-being and is always there to help. Workload is never too heavy but it does make you think beyond the topic. Definitely take Dr. D!

Best Professor at UCF. She CARES about all of her students. She is your ally and will fight for you. Lectures are her way of giving back. Show up, submit assignments, you'll get a 100. Her openness makes learning easier. I already registered for her again next semester. You won't regret taking her!

I took this professor for summer and she has been amazing, She is always here to help and understands life gets in the way. The whole class was split into mini groups and that was the group you were in until the end of the course. She would always send updates and was always available if you needed to speak with her, and answered emails pretty well

Best prof I have ever had. If you're a communication major you need to take this class. I learned so much and it gave me a great base for my other courses. If you plan on going into any office setting this class is a must. She's so helpful and gives you a lot of creative freedom on projects. The only reading is 3 books and they're all amazing.

I loved this class with Dr. D. It was super interesting and she was so helpful. She gives you a ton of feedback. Your grade relies heavily on a group project that you work on throughout the entire semester.

Dr. Dusseau is a compassionate, reasonable professor who has a genuine invested interest in the wellbeing and academic success of her students. She is readily accessible through email, and is as excellent a communicator as her subject matter would suggest. I highly recommend Dr. Dusseau to students considering enrolling in SPC1608.

I cannot recommend her highly enough. She breathes life into the class she teaches, and approaches student questions without judgement. She's funny, accommodating, and supports you in every way she can throughout the semester.

I LOVE THIS WOMAN! If you ask for it, she will give you so much help. One of the kindest professors i've had and wants her class to genuinely help you. Her course helped me really think about my career. 3 units with all assignments due on one Sunday each unit. The assignments are easy, maybe a little tedious, and interesting!

Professor Dusseau makes the material engaging and she's eager to help. The group project is manageable, and using unstuck study alongside the class resources proved super helpful for preparing.

I loved having Dr. Dusseau. You can tell she really cares about what she's teaching, which makes her lectures more engaging. I learned a lot, and with the class being service learning, it gave me a chance to get out of my comfort zone and be active in the community. If you have the chance, definitely take a class with her.
