Dr. Everson is a great professor. She makes her lectures meaningful and interesting (as much as possible with this subject), and the material in general is easy (and I'm not a math whiz). She uses Top Hat for extra credit. Her homework and exams are not tricky or that difficult and she allows you to use an entire sheet of notebook paper of notes!

Amazing professor, I absolutely hate stats and for a GE she made it easy and enjoyable for me. She uses great examples and offers extra credit and cheat sheets for all the exams and finals. 10/10 recommend

Michelle is an amazing teacher and she cares. She tries to relate lectures to current (interesting) events. Her lectures aren't long and drawn out and she's really helpful. She also takes the time to get to know all 250 or so people in the class. She really cares. Exams are extremely easy also.

STAT is super easy if you go to lecture. Michelle is such a sweet lady. Top-hat questions in lecture graded for participation. Seriously just go to lecture and you'll pass the class easy.

Professor Michelle Everson is the type of professor you will remember after you graduate. She is extremely caring, easy to understand, and makes the information simple. You should go out of your way to attend her lecture since she is the head of the department and writes the exam, as well as being very reachable when the class is over.

Dr. Everson is a great prof. Even though this class has hundreds of students she makes a point to keep up with individuals and makes herself very accessible and helpful. The material is easy and if you go to lab/do the short weekly homeworks you'll be fine. I didn't find lecture necessary, just read the notes online.

She really cares and wants you to pass. Class isn't mandatory, but she uses top hat for extra credit. Midterm and final are the only tests and you can have a full page of notes to use. Weekly homework that takes at max 15 min. Never paid attention, and still got an A. Highly recommend for easy GE.

Michelle is AMAZING! So much extra credit there's no way you couldn't get an A. I didn't study and got a 100 on the midterm, note sheet for midterm and final and weekly homework. She is so caring and genuinely wants everyone to get a good grade. I hated statistics and she made it painless. 11/10

I'm taking STAT1350 online with Dr. Everson. I have taken 0 notes all semester because what she puts online covers it mostly. I do not have the book, and I don't think it is necessary. I spend maybe 2 hours a week completing everything for the class. She's clear in the lecture videos, but honestly sometimes I feel she goes a little slow. Not hard.

Dr. Everson was an amazing professor for Stat 1350. The class was pretty boring but there is only one midterm and one final, which you can use a full sheet of notes on. She genuinely cares about her students and wants to make the class as painless as possible. Don't need to attend lecture, all notes are posted online. Recitation helps to understand

Michelle tries very hard to get to know all of her students, even in large lectures. She offers extra credit and also works hard to make sure everyone does well. The class moves very slowly and you don't need to the textbook at all (seriously don't buy it).

Michelle is the kindest professor I have ever had. She cares so much for your success. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities but you won't even need them. The exams are very fair. You get a page of notes for the midterm and final, but if you pay attention in recitation and do the practice problems in lecture you won't even need it.

The BEST professor I have ever had. I am bad at math and I still did so well in this class because Michelle very clearly cares about her students. She gave so much feedback on EVERY assignment, and sent us email updates at minimum once a week. She had discussion boards where she answered any questions on any assignments, and was extremely organized

Really easy class, came in knowing nothing about statistics, didn't really put in that much effort but still came out with an A+. There are some tricky concepts but it's really not to bad, especially with the help of the multiple TAs and tutoring hours available.

Since this is an online class, it is completely your choice in what grade you get. Lectures may get boring, or repetitive, but you need to watch them & stay consistent. She does a fantastic job in her lectures & are the only reason I did well. She thoroughly explains everything & always does ample amounts of examples. Highly recommend.

Michelle is great! She really cares about all of her students and wants to see them do well. At the beginning of the semester she personally emailed all of her students to introduce herself. I have never had another prof to do that. She is a real gem!

She is a very sweet and kind professor. She loves to use relatable statitics to help make things interesting. Her homework and labs are very related to the things being taught in lectures. She has extra credit using top hat but it is random during lectures. There is a textbook but I did not use it at all. Very accessible.

Prof Everson makes online stats painless. The class is very organized, the assignments are reasonable, and both she and the TAs are always available for help. Put a few hours a week into the course and do light review for the exams and you'll finish with a good grade. Overall, easy and beneficial class.

The most caring and down to earth professor I have ever had. Our lecture was over 200 people and she emailed every single one of us individually at the beginning and throughout the semester to check in on us and on our mental health. She offered quite a bit of extra credit and did a great job relating to her students. I loved her!

This prof is an angel! She reaches out every week to check in and see how you're doing and if you need any additional help on the material. Math has never been my favorite subject but she makes it so endurable. Her lectures are so easy to watch and understand and she gives a ton of opportunities for extra credit which are fairly easy to complete.

I suck at math, but I felt welcomed in her stats online class. Michelle is so freaking sweet, you can feel her kindness through just her words. So, so, flexible and she is so approachable and reachable. Take her classes whenever you can. She checks up on you even when you don't realize you need it.

She also provides review sessions every day for the week before each of the two exams. She also provides opportunities for extra credit.

Honestly I've never had a teacher that seemed to care more about their students. This teacher is always sending out reminders for assignments, and checks in on students. She absolutely wants you to succeed. Best class I'm taking this semester. Plus having so many weekly optional recitations to choose from makes it easy to get help.

Took this in SP21. Great professor, really knows her stuff when it comes to stats. She always makes content clearer than what the textbook taught us. Only thing is, she talks pretty slow. Don't be afraid to turn her online lectures to 1.75 or 2x speed. Great class for Data Analytics GE

If you need a stats GE, take her class. If you've ever taken stats before, this class will be even easier. She cares about the success of her students. I was worried about taking statistics as an asynchronous online course but she is extremely helpful and cares about the success of all students. I absolutely fell in love with this professor. Her lectures are not just to talk about random things, but actually goes according to the homework and exams. The midterm practice exam was very similar to the actual midterm exam, same with the final. She is great at teaching. One of the best I have had since attending OSU!

Very helpful and responded to emails quickly. Work was very easy and everything was open-book and unproctored. Easy A but still gives students the opportunity to learn if they want to put in that effort. The weekly written assignments are graded 50% on completion and 50% on correctness from a random selection of problems, so it's very relaxed.

Super easy class! Had like a 99% the whole year. DO NOT buy textbook - I did not get it and never had a single issue. She is a sweet professor and emails you that you are doing great! Definitely recommend!!

Took this class asynchronously so I never met her, but her video lectures are very thorough (recommend watching on 1.5 speed though). Each week is 1 lab assignment and 1 HW assignment, neither are too hard. This course is very organized and you'll never have any surprises.
