sooooooooooooo incredibly boring. the only words she knows off by heart and umm and uhh i think she needs to go back and take some english vocab classes. useless class, didn't learn a single thing.

Worst prof i have ever seen. If she would attempt to look at the class and not the floor or wall, she may see that people have questions. Ummm, Uhhh, is all she nows how to say. If you see her as your prof i have two words for you "RUNNN AWAYYYY!!

She is so boring, she thinks she is a genius and we should all know what she knows so makes the tests difficult. She is on speed, makes her tests super super hard, and makes it hard to write notes in her class. DONT TAKE HER CLASS!!!

She teaches the class like it is a 400 level, not 100. She tests you on everything imaginable. She isn't there to teach, she is there to show off how much stuff she knows on different religion. Overall, a terrible class.

Brutal prof! She tries to show how much she knows about all these religions, yet when you ask her a question it's, umm, that's a good question... What do you think about that? It's a load of crap! She even got some stuff completely wrong.

You can know so much in this class and have learned alot, but your marks will not reflect it, becuz she makes her test impossible, little mistakes take off full marks, true or false. I absolutely did not like her, I enjoyed the content, but not her class, I wish i had taken it with another teacher

Worst professor at the university. Avoid at all costs if you respect yourself and your GPA. Run in the opposite direction.

You must be very specific in your wording on assignments/exams. If you do not have your answer word for word you will not get marks on the exam or assignment. Michelle loves to go off topic and ramble on about things that are not always important to the class subject.

DO NOT REGISTER HER COURSES!!! She has a lot of things to talk in class but most of them are off-topic, but be aware, the exams she gives us are based on those things she said in class. The review slides are useless because it was not cover what she said in class. I reviewed the slides and I failed the exams.

michelle is not a good prof and she thinks she is the best prof in the Univeristy and she is a tough grader. If you taken her class its wastage of Tution money

Terrible professor. She talks too much of irrelevant things. Talks too quickly to actually enjoy what she is trying to teach. I was looking forward to this class, turned out to be a dud. Very dissapointing. She is definitely passionate about this subject, which is the only thing she has going for her.

I don't recomend taking Michelle's class. I'm all for putting in the work but her exams are extremely hard and have nothing to do with the content taught. I attended every lecture, read everything required and learned more watching youtube. If you can find someone else who teaches the class, I would strongly suggest it.

Her tests are extremely difficult, and she rarely talks about course content during class. She was condescending to other students during class in front of everyone. Her course is extremely difficult and she offers little extra help. I would not take this class with her unless I had to

She's made the class intentionally harder to avoid having the RLST100 be labelled something easy. However, now it seems like you need a lot of information coming into the class for a 100 level course. Otherwise you will be overloaded by information that she briefly touches on but feels like it should be the primary objective of this level of class.

I'm a 3rd-year science student; this was the worst professor I have ever had in my time in university. She takes her job too seriously and gets too emotional and pushy - she has argued with individuals about their religion, insinuating they were wrong. She puts her views into her teaching and is an extreme feminist.

Awful professor. She argued with me about my religion as if she knew more. She speaks too fast and constantly says, "if you will" and "for example." I mean always, every five words. She is a harsh grader, takes her job far too seriously, and treats her class more critically than it should be. She pushes when there is no need.

Shes incredibly hard to follow she gives far to much information in class.her lecture rarely follows her slides which makes it hard to take good notes. She goes through material very fast, about 1.5 week per subject with 60-80 pages of reading + extra videos/readings. she only grades participation and exams only 1% extra credit

Very micromanaging professor. Gives you a code to punch in instead of just submitting present for attendance. Doesn't let you hand in assignments early, they open only on the date of submission. She's incredibly smart but lectures in such a sterning way you feel like you're getting yelled at for the entire class.Stresses you out. Wouldnt take again

Lack of respect for students' time and concerns. Delivery is harsh and rigid. No wiggle room for critical thinking or one's own ideas. Research is limited to articles only she finds interesting. Projects are an attempt to be unique but end up being confusing. Instructions are unclear. Have a question? Expect to wait a week (or more) for an answer.

It is 100 level class though the content is 400-level. The professor is very tough grader. She will teach something else in the class and ask for something else in the exam. For exams, you have to study from textbooks, encyclopedias, modules, class slides, and class notes and that is too heavy. She is very fast speaker.

She provides unclear instructions and confusing assignments, causing frustration and stress for students. While the assignments aren't inherently difficult, the confusing description makes it difficult. One may never know what she wants. Prospective students should opt for other professors if possible.

Be careful taking class from this Professor. She is very strict when it comes to grading. She speaks in 2x in lecture when talking. Think before you take her class. Listen to all reviews as they are pretty accurate for sure 100%. If you don't care about your GPA pulling it down then go take her class.

Do not take her course no matter what! She is very strict and obsessed with cheating and academic misconduct. She would give you a long paragraph before every exam and assignment and during class. Do not respect students nor their time. She would tell you to study 4 topics for your exam and ending up focusing on one topic only which is not fair.

Incredibly difficult class, considering most people take it as an elective. Hundreds of pages of reading from the textbook and her exams are super challenging because she tells the class to "know everything" instead of narrowing it down for us. Won't let us review our past assignments or tests even with our upcoming final.

Always felt like I was getting attacked in the lecture, would talk in an aggressive tone and was obsessed with academic integrity and cheating to an insane level. Lectures were extremely boring and would frequently go off on tangents. Took the class expecting it to be a GPA booster which it was not, DO NOT TAKE!

Mrs. Folk was one of the worst professors I had in the 3 years I have been at the U of R. This has also been my lowest graded class. She spoke too fast in lectures, rambled on about academic misconduct every 2nd class for 10 mins at a time (the guidelines were sent in emails before each test, quiz, assignment and in the main page of urcourses).

This class is really difficult. She doesn't give lecture slides and also expects you to read a lot from the textbook. I took it as a summer course and her expectations were way too high all things considered. Also considers Grammarly a form of plagiarism. Goes off on tangents during lectures, also yells at students in middle of class for whispering

One experience I had in class was when we were going over the Islam unit, she mentioned something along the lines of "the Taj Mahal is Islamophobic" When a student from India tried to disagree with her respectfully she shut him down without listening to what he had to say. Do not take this class. I took it as an elective and it ended up being harder then my 300 classes, i have taken a RLST 268 and passed with 90+. This prof talks non-stop, even while you're trying to write a quiz/midterm. She marks very hard and expects you to know everything and more. She assigns readings and then test is nothing about it.Worst prof

please avoid her as a prof. took this as a gpa booster but man i might drop out cause of this. interupts class if she catches you on ur phone. talks while ur trying to do assignments which makes it harder cause shes so distracting. expects you to write MLA format on a writen exam for short answer?? with citations?? i dont even do that in eng400.

She is very tough, prof. The expectation level is as if it were a 400-level class. She gives lots of loads in the 100-level class as if we do not have other subjects to study and attendance is mandatory. 70% passing bar in activities, and the paper is so difficult and long. Cannot even take this for credit.

This professor is always stressed and unhappy. They take the university rules more seriously than anyone else, even more than the administration. If you have another option, don't hesitate any other professor would be a better choice. I hope this short review is helpful.

Dr. Folk is extremely tough on students. After failing multiple assignments/tests due to a lack of understanding I decided to drop the course. I did every assigned reading and always attended class and actively took notes the entire time but that was not enough. She yells at students and does not provide lecture slides.
